i like it, its super cute and im not great at video games so its nice to have one with simple fight mechanics that i learned very easily.
This game is splendid
Unusual mix of roguelite dungeoning with dating - simple enough on the combat and exploration to accelerate your dating routine - while the writing and characters are genuinely interesting and it pays off to get to know them better - and it's satisfying to see that "love" can just mean an intimate friendship.
It could do with a LOT more content, though! My craving for challenging combat and dating management is sated if I try to speedrun the thing - but it would definitely be nice to have more combat challenges that relate to the challenges of the people I'm going on dates with.
It's a fun and different rpg game where you date the different weapons in the game.

Absolutely loved this game start to finish. I called it my guilty pleasure game as it's nutty dating your weapons but I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I finished it and I only want more. Loved the variation, the setup, the themes. DLC is great (secret weapons).
I think my favourite part was the music and the text messages. It felt so organic to be having texts with the people.
Hat tip to all the non-binaries in there. Glad to feel they were included. But such scale. Some people were completely normal that you'd meet them in real life. Some felt out of a fantasy novel. Loved that.
Love this game and the soundtrack. Fun to play, not too long and amazing characters. Can only recommend it

Its a really cute game. The dungeoning is fun with each weapon having its own playstyle. The variety of relationships you can form in a game called "boyfriend" dungeon was surprising. The only thing I thought could be improved was some of the animations. the cutscenes could do with a second pass to make sure everything looks how they want it to look without any awkward proportions.

Just finished this game and let's just say it's a good one.
This is my second save but first 100%, first any% for that matter.
The characters are really lovable, the combat can be punishing, the crafting is neat and the constant scrounging for spare change in the early - mid game is kinda of how it feels to be a college student current day.
At the time of writing this I'm a college student and fell in love with the glaive (I'll keep identities anon for no spoilers <3 ) and the ax.
But you can feel how these characters are feeling, and the villian is really easy to hate and even if ur not into romance or sex there's always routes to get around a character you wouldn't want to pursue in that nature.
I highly recommend checking this game out :3
It is a very well thought out game. I had a lot of fun maxing out all my weapons and reading though all the story lines. Each weapon is unique and has their own abilities. The dungeons and their drops are sometimes the same after you have been grinding through them for a while. I 100% the achievements so I think I will be shelving this game until there is an update or there are more achievements.
Started playing the game because a friend had recommended it to me and had absolutely fallen in love with it! Everyone's visuals and characterizations are so diverse and downright lovable; the game's entire vibe is a well-curated combination of calming (with its ambiance and soundtracks) yet thrilling (the dungeon crawling) and energizing (the incredibly cute character interactions) all at the same time; the theme songs are incredibly gorgeous and utilized at the most appropriate of times that it greatly affects gameplay so beautifully (I can never shut up about how certain songs pop up so perfectly at key-scenes with the romanceables that it made me fall for them and the game deliciously deeper and how I'm well into making them my nightly lullaby by this point); and, the diversity of activities the game offers are all top-notch! I also absolutely adore how the devs paced everything to be friendly towards dungeon-crawlers both old and new (the difficulty for the dungeons are gauged so expertly in-line with both the MC and the romanceables' in-game skill level so that it turns out neither too easy that it grows stale nor too hard that it gets discouraging).
Overall a great way to end a strenuous irl day, an absolute feel good game that will make you crave a Verona Beach of your own time and again! (Now for a shirt saying, "I went to Verona Beach and a full armory and another ticket back is what I got."....)
P.S: Also, already desperately wishing for another installment from the devs (人>U<) they did such fantastic work with this one that I just can't help but want to see more of it <3
First played when it was on game pass and adored it, so I had to add it when I got my deck. Super cute and cozy dungeon crawler with a really sweet story and a great soundtrack.
Neither dungeon crawlers nor dating sims are really my genres but unexpectedly I had so much fun playing this game. I recommend giving it a chance.
Fun game that's a cool mix of genres. It's not the best in either, but still a good roguelike and a fun dating sim. The variety in characters and weapons is really cool. I like that you can friendzone everyone if you so choose. A decent amount of collectibles, 10 hours in and I'm fairly close to 100%, I'd estimate 15-20 hours to get there. The basic enemies all feel a bit same-y, but the bossfights are unique and cool, definitely would recommend to whoever is interested.
I think this game is really stellar all around. There's one character who's story isn't one I care to experience again, but it still had sweet moments and fun gameplay elements that made it worthwhile. I especially appreciate that the entire cast of dateable characters are completely open to a free form polyamorous lifestyle that prioritizes personal freedom and positive impact. The dungeon gameplay was largely fun and relaxing with "oh shit" moments that kept me on my toes, and the story elements were charming and genuine with real lessons behind them. I really think everyone should give it a try.

Game is honestly a fun an chill time
Game was shorter than I thought it would be. I played about 14 hours before reaching the credits. There's no post credit content other than finishing up steam achievements.
Overall good game, definitely worth the $10 I spent on it. Its more like a dating sim that requires you to go in the dungeon to progress the story. If you prefer dating sims and the dungeon crawler aspect of the game isn't to your taste, I recommend to still give this game a try because the dungeon isn't very skill dependent. As you level up, button mashing will get you through almost all of the levels. If you are a hardcore dungeon crawler fan, this game may not be for you.

This game is great fun - a loving, honest, self-aware journey through what it's like to date as an adult. It's funny and charming and shameless, and a really lovely way to chill out. I think the warnings are well written and useful, and the themes are thoughtfully explored. Give it a go!
It's a really cute game, I love that it's queer friendly, the gameplay itself is a lot of fun, and it feels like it's just about the right length though I'd love a sequel or expansion. I was definitely feeling my feelings about leaving Verona Beach in the end. Heavily recommend it!

Super cute rogue-lite with really unique characters to date throughout the game. Easy to get caught up and play for hours without realizing it. Art style is really beautiful and the music is even better.

Its a super sweet game about the challenges of overcoming your fears and dealing with feeling unlovable. While the artstyle isn't quite my cup of bubbletea, I still really enjoyed myself! 6 /10, for sure. Oh, and the soundtrack as super cozy!

Went into this cause "haha funny date sword haha" ended up tearing up and also coming to terms with my irl fear of intimacy so.... also its just a super fun game and i love the care thats been put in (the option to turn off messages from "mom" is so thoughtful, even if i personally find it comforting, ik others wouldnt)

Queer players! Dating Sims fans! Hear ye, hear ye! Your search is over! I will go off and rant about this absolute gem for WAYYYY too long but the TL;DR is: FUN! FUNNY! SWEET! ADORABLE! BUY ITTT.
This game honestly taught me a valuable lesson in that you can find connection, warmth, kindness and depth even in the silliest of places. And here you can find it all while fighting a flip-phone in a shopping mall wielding your casual vampire situationship or your emotional support idol tsundere husband!
The first obvious merit of the game is the game play loop. Being half dungeon crawler, half dating sim, the two halves complement and feed each other in really refreshing ways. The dating elements help vent out and air out the frustration of the dungeon crawling part of the game, while the smooth sword swinging (not that kind) mechanics help break a little of the monotony of only reading through pages of text. That way, the around 15 hours you take to beat it are barely felt at all! It's cutting edge, really (badum tss)
And if they’d stop here, they’d have a fun engaging game. But then they had the gall to care! And now look at where we are! The first choice you make in the game is whether or not you want to enable a “Mom” character to send you supportive texts. Right then and there, 5min in, this game showed more care for the comfort of their players than anything I’ve ever played. Not only for making adorable mom texts a main feature, but even allowing us to choose our own relationship with something that is so often taken for granted as a good thing. It allowed me to have my own relationship with a thing, and respected my choice with no question. It's like... What if a game suddenly cares about your boundaries?! And this philosophy follows you all through the game!?
You get to customize your pronouns and change them at will, your relationship with food, with gender, with relationships, with sex, with intimacy and have them so effortlessly respected that it felt... refreshing. You can even choose the drinks you like! When the game has this agency and comfort taken from you through the plot it hurts, and players should be mindful of the Trigger Warnings before playing because it does have a recurring character overstepping your boundaries. But even that to me feels in theme with themes of love, the softest and sharpest sides of it. I honestly couldn’t believe this level of thought was first displayed in the video-game world in a game about kissing sword-turning people! It sounds like a joke!
All the love interests in this game feel unique, both for the dating sim and dungeon crawling portions. Each date felt nice, even the LI I cared the least about made me chuckle and smile to myself at some moments, and the ones I cared for have broken and mended my heart in ways that will always be treasured. In a game about, yes, kissing swords. How dare the developers make me embarass myself by talking to my friends about how a vampire sword broke my heart?
The soundtrack is amazing, the art is absolutely adorable, the writing is hilarious, and the overall message of the game is the absolute sweetest. But my favorite thing about it is that it exists, unceremoniously, and it will deliver either a fun time or just the gentlest embrace that only a thing made with the utmost care can give someone. In my case, both! I’ll be on the lookout for more things like this on the making, and I hope you (the reader of this way too long review) can find the comfort i found fucking kissing swords in some game, any one! And maybe this one is it for you too! Take a stab at it!
The over-the-top, insane, steamy, sensational fantasy of this game is not romancing the hot vampire sword guy or the uber famous k-pop idol, it's living in a sane world where people are generally nice and treat each other with basic kindness and respect regardless of your sexuality or gender. Combine that with having a mother that loves you unconditionally and an entire village that cares about your emotional well-being and I was hooked.
Partially kidding, but I truly did not want the game to end and was kind of sad to wave goodbye to Verona Beach. Even if the romances aren't that deep and the tropes were... well tropes... the game made me feel "normal" and happy in a world that always wants me to feel lesser for being my authentic self. This game is so committed to this that you can even change your pronoun selection during your playthrough without it being a world ending event. I started the game with one set of pronouns and ended with another and the game never comments on it being a big deal, everyone immediately understands and no questions are asked and it doesn't limit your dating pool. There's even two non-binary romance options with Sawyer and Rowan. Sure some of the enby stereotypes are a bit over the top and dated but I think it fits with the universe and overall vibe the game was going for.
Outside of dating and romance, the game itself is actually surprisingly fun. It manages to find that "just right" Goldilocks spot of not too challenging but not so easy that it's a total cake walk. There can be a grind to it if you want that and that's how I played because I wanted to 100% it, but you don't have to do it that way if you don't want to. Overall a super fun, cute, lighthearted experience that lightly touches on some important themes like fears of intimacy and change.
Sometimes, you have to gift a game as a challenge to get on that game yourself (Hey Foxy ♥), and then you just play for 3 days and don't want to let the game go because the soundtrack is cool, because you sure hate that dumb race mini game but still want the stupidest achievement ever or maybe you really want to be whiped into shape. (Do you like my super long sentence ? Me too, but I can't change who I am).
Anyway, for someone who is Ace (that's not platonic romance bro, it's called being asexual), I was happy to not be forced to interact with the characters in a way that made me uncomfortable while still having all the achievements.
Some of the characters are more interesting than others (sorry Sunder, you're just boring, go buy a larger vest and zip it) and Sawyer made me feel very uncomfortable, because of my age I guess, so it felt all kind of wrong. However I do understand that with that kind of game you need to give various options to catch the attention of the public and it's perfectly normal. I'm a roleplayer in love with anything story rich (VN is my love language) so yeah, you'll have favorites, you'll have people you don't really like and where I find it cool is I don't have to date those, I can just, you know, teach them how to cook.
The dunj part of the game was nice just a bit boring when you have so little variations, but it's still fine either way, it proved me once again that I hate slow weapon, give me Seven or Isaac and I'll be happy, give me pocket and I'll feel like I have no control at all, and give me Sawyer and I'll be "I'm sorry, it's not you, it's me".
Gifts is what saved me there as there are character I didn't want to level up after one dunj, I did like the interactions in the relaxing areas as well, it's was a cute bonus along with the characters discussing together and you can just butt in.
The best way to enjoy this game is to simply let it takes you where it leads. If you like long format and you need a break, it's also pretty good as a relaxing tool where you know you'll shine.

While the dungeon crawling aspect of this game is certainly its weakest point (just mash light attack), the characters and dating sim aspect of the game truly shine and I applaud the developers for attempting this kind of genre combination. I really enjoy the concept of overcoming your fear of relationships and think all the characters are wonderful in how they respect the comfort level of the player. You can come in hot if you like to flirt or you can stay just friends until the end and it doesn't impact or gatekeep how you can experience the game.
