I used to have this game on my television in 2010. Very enjoyable game and can actually be more difficult than it looks. Some achievements are very hard to get. 9/10
A classic brick-breaking game, with some power-ups and such.
decent if nothing special breakout, though being decent puts it above most others already. 3 undescribed difficulty settings with separate leaderboards, 100 levels unlocked one by one, and there's level select, so dying on level 5 means you can start there next time if you want, with zero points, of course. they're divided into 3 sets and they're all available from the start, providing 3 entry points.
a bunch of power-ups and downs, some pretty neat, like the ball going invisible the further it is from the paddle. the pause menu describes all of them, no need to guess what icon means what. there's some fun chaos to be had with doubling the multiball and applying some fire effects while shooting like a maniac from your quadruple-sized paddle.
smooth mouse-only controls for the paddle, basic graphics, not great music, absolutely terrible sfx. separate volumes, non-resizable but considerably smaller windowed mode. good price too, so if you like breaking out, grab it at some point.
A fun DX-Ball clone.
The only downside is no saved progress (however you can choose any level after unlocking it). I just like playing arkanoids in short bursts, playing 50 levels in one session is a bit of a task.
Everything you could want in a brick breaker. Pretty much a perfect arkanoid/brick breaker style game!
