Complete garbage. Controls are shit and you are unable to remap it. It doesn't always respond to button presses. Game is literally unbeatable because of a bug regarding a portal in the first frost level (that has been known about for over 5 years so you know it will never be fixed.) I don't know how I managed to get this game in my library. I don't think I would have paid for this trash, but I don't remember. Definitely don't bother. There are much better cheap games and this one isn't even worth it if it was free.
Formless Adventure is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. It's a very poorly made 3D rendered low poly puzzle/action level based platformer where you run/jump along a numbe rof obstacle courses with the usual moving platforms etc. The gimmick is that you can change forms and each form has different platforming abilities/properties, but this adds little the boring, overdone and obsolete platformer genre that this game is worsening.
Joyous Raccoon/New Reality Games/Mihai Morosanu have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. An example of Joyous Raccoon/New Reality Games/Mihai Morosanu doing this is Vogue, The Explorer, which is really "3D Game Kit", written by the actual developers, Unity Technologies. Also, Totally Mayhem, which is really "Full Game Kit - Hammer 2", developed by XForm Games.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Formless Adventure didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for customising your appearance in-game (you can do this immediately after the tutorial), but only around 26 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game.
It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
Formless Adventure is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
Coarse, Cheap, Crappy platform and obstacle game,
Short stages but, the leap are too fast, speedy acceleration,
lousy Camera view to at least let players look ahead of where they are leaping.
Extremely slow ' reset ' of stage.
Falling to death and restarting exceeds all else.
Stage Four and Five to tackle the time challenge achievements.
Complete the time achievements, then slowly tackle following stages is advisable.
Broken achievements for spike and climb to the highest.
Being a completionist,
sadden to even try to push myself ahead the game.
Not worth the time and effort.
Good concept but the game is way too full of bugs for it to be completely enjoyable. For example, when you have only a few balls remaining and change into a form that removes some it often just kills you, do it on a checkpoint and you successfully made it impossible to finish the level without restarting it. Also, there's this one level in which the only way forward doesn't work, many people have told the game makers but they still haven't fixed this and I've tried glitching my way passed it or just cheesing it but the portal simply doesn't work (and if you reach the portal where you are supposed to exit from, it just teleports you back to the entry portal and you can't do anything about it). This is why nobody will ever finish the game, not cuz it's not enjoyable, just because there's a broken level and nobody ever fixed it even though there are MANY bug reports for it.
better than I expected I'd buy it for a dollar.
Second level resets to the last checkpoint even that I've complete it.
So I simply can't continue playing.
Additionally no joystick support is a bummer for these kind of games.
Can't remap keys.
Go from "not fast enough" to "INSANELY TOO FAST" after holding a directional key for too long. Not ideal in a game with multiple long pitfalls.
Platforming sections were awful.
Give this game a pass.

TLDR: Play Super Slatters instead for the correct execution of this simple concept.

Oustanding Issues:
-No Xbox360 pad support
-Cheap overlay of emoji on top of low production value 3D grapes as protagonist
-Very akward controls
-Camera often eclipses target platforms that are right next to you forcing blindjumps
-The grape cluster mechanic often slices you in half as you platform, with the platform actively obstructing half of your body from joining the rest making the next jump all broken like and clumsy
-No easy way to recover or realign yourself as you get scattered
-The physics are broken, if you jump you gain momentum and go increasingly faster, but you will invariably end up in a pitfall anyways
-Uninventive level design that does not encourage exploration
-No sound effects and music tracks overlay did not mesh with the game well not with each other
Gameplay is enjoyable and bright colors are rather nice. I am terrible at platformer games and found it frustrating that the hero moves after a delay and has a great amount of inertia, so much so that it is impossible to control the hero finely. This problem is even worse as there is no controller support and keyboard is your only option. After 1000 seconds on the first part of the second level music becomes annoying too.
