You could by food for 5 dollars that only keeps you from being hungry for a few hours.
Or you can buy 5 copies of this and create memories with your friends.
Food for the Body < Food for the Soul.
4/10
This game is honestly just absolutely awful. It may be cheap, but you owe it to yourself to spend you hard-earned 70p on something that'll benefit you more like a small piece of fruit, or you could save up for a pint.
Please promise me personally that you won't buy this game. Please.
Warning: Asset Flip!
Masked Forces: Zombie Survival is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware.
In this case, the asset flipper took the UFPS FPS game template pack (real developer, Opsive, not credited by these asset flippers of course) and filled it out with a bunch of stolen Unity assets (an example is the Zombie Dogs asset pack created by real developers, 3DRT Link here so you can see for yourself). So, this is someone else's game template fleshed out with someone else's game assets... the "developer" added little to nothing of their own work, and surprisingly like all asset flips, it has no value or merit as a real game. It's just a shallow, barely functioning fake game.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality which fits with the idea they weren't developed by the game creator... they look like they're "just reasonable enough" to go on sale as part of an asset pack. The issue of asset flipping aside, ultimately the quality of these assets is low and low quality always makes for a less than optimal gaming experience.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 12 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name.
So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?
Masked Forces: Zombie Survival is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Do you like zombies?
Do you like shooting zombies?
Do you like shooting zombies with your friends?
If you said yes to all of the above, you may find this game slightly more enjoyable than a stale biscuit.
i feel like i've wasted several years of my life for playing this game
buy m&m with that 1 dollar
Low Spec required KF
this game some ass
Just a simple and short round based zombie game, quick easy and fun. I enjoyed it but there really isn't anything to do after you get all the achievements and get to round 10. Still worth a try tho! It needs more maps tho. 4/10

I bought this game solely because it was cheap and easy to 100%.
The only good thing I can say about it is that I like their choice of Unity asset guns.
I like old type of games like Quake but this feels like a gmod zombie mini game. Its good for the first two hours before it begins to get boring.
a simple and funny zombie game freeze nova was always interesting as a game dev for me with the masked shooter series so yeah this is a nice game you can enjoy if you like shooter zombies and dont think too much is very minimalistic for the price is allright is nice to pay a bit to support freeze nova they always bring cool and fun games
Barebones Zombie FPS
Fun hour with this game, stacked all achievements and was playing co-op the whole time with people. Decent way to spend 49 cents!
Just remember one thing...MOVE SIDEWAYS CONTINUOUSLY and the zombies never touch you! You're Welcome!
Verdict: 5/10 EzPz
- graphics and sound are horrible, but the video/screenshots show that already
- physics and hitboxes are a bit clunky sometimes, like you have to jump up the sidewalks
+ latency in multiplayer was very low, game worked fine
+ shop, menus and settings all working fine, liked the gifts and several armor styles
Guess that's all you can demand for 0,99€.
Don't get me wrong, it's fun, but its super low quality compared to even the masked shooters 1. A bunch of moaning from zombies and low res dogs rushing at you is not terrifying or immersive at all.

You get what you pay for you. For 50 cents (on sale) this is a pretty neat little game. It took me 70 minutes to get all the achievements. You get them all through regular gameplay, just the last two (kill 300 and 600 zombies) are a little bit of a grind, but it only involves playing 3 or 4 matches of survival. Although very basic (run around and shoot zombies, upgrade your weapons to do more damage between rounds), I didn't find anything really wrong with it. I had 300 ping in multiplayer (from Australia to wherever the server is) and it was all very smooth.
So yeah, don't expect too much from it, but if you go in with the intention of just killing some zombies and getting some easy achievements, it is worth a play.
Got all achievements within 26 minutes of mindlessly playing and actually had to TRY to die. 10/10 game IGN. Easy achievements though. Probably will never play it again, but it's not worth refunding for the 50 cents. I guess this is an achievement booster game. . .
Awesome game for the price. Mind you this looks like a phone port -- but at least it generated an incredible frame count on my rig. There's no story and the video is blocky and the sound is rather plain. The controls were solid once I found the in-game adjustments. And just like other Zombie games - the dogs are op. Don't expect much and you'll be content with it. And it appears to get an occasional update.
-It costs 0,99€;
-no bugs (I have not seen any yet);
-has decent and fairly justified gun play (once again, it's 99 cents);
-good for wasting time when you're bored and have nothing else to do;
It's nothing special and it will get boring very quickly, but then again it is a 99 cents game and should be treated as such. The people who are leaving bad reviews probably missed that part.
Well it looks like absolute garbage, there's no map variety, the sound design is terrible and yes indeed, you have to jump to get over the curb.
It is, however, fun. It passes the time, it's simple shooting action that is at least functional.
That said, PLEASE get rid of that slow backpedal/strafe, it's very annoying, just make all movement the same speed. Also do fix that curb problem.
It's by no means game of the year but for the same price as a phone app, you could certainly find much worse ways to kill a little time.

Join random soldier no. 27. in a world where zombies walk like they had a stick in their pants, while they try to kill you (random soldier no. 27) by slapping you until you fall down like a sack of grain, in a quest to kill them all, at least in a 10 feet radius, because everything else is covered by FOOOG...
By carefully strategizing (AKA shooting them all until they die, because you spawn with 500 bullets (literally)), survive against 4 types of zombies:
1. Ordinary type: 4 or 5 models of zombies numbering in 100s, trying to slap you
2. Crawlers: Like ordinary type but they CRAAAAWL
3. The Elite: Like Ordinary type but GREEEEN and with MORE HEAAALTH
4.Cute muscly doggos

I'm so done. With life. And videogames. What the hell is this? And why is this allowed on Steam?
The gameplay may give you cancer...but the sound effects are that of like listening to a man taking a shit, while simultaneously having a heart attack. Both horrifying and questionable. Spare yourself the horror and perminant scarring...please i beg you..dont do it. 0.99 is not worth your sanity.
Masked Forces: Zombie Survival is a game about a man who can't die fighting through hordes of paper-mache monsters that have come to life to wreak havoc upon a post-modern society where tiny pizza shops sell clothes, tiny hotels sell clothes, tiny banks sell clothes, and tiny buildings either no doors and only windows, tiny doors and regular windows, or there's the secret door out of city limits (the map) which is normal person sized. It touches upon many sensitive topics in an interesting, centerist view and invokes many questions from the player, like "With all this money we're saving from our infinite reincarnation, should we spend our money on hiring better architects or putting rocket launchers in the street?"
The gameplay itself is astounding, you can have incredible variety in your weaponry ranging from a $1000 minigun at player level 1 to a terrible shotgun for $2000 dollars at level 5. The game boasts a wide range of over 1 map, ranging from "City" to "City That Is Dark". The multiplayer is what takes the cake, you can team up with iconic characters from the Masked forces saga, like shooter2618, jose.gonzales.123, and rainbowskye0. All of the above is packaged with the game, and I'll hopefully be able to snag a copy of the Special Edition when it comes out, which will include every DLC and a Masked Shooter plushie.
Overall, I've nover played a game quite nearly as good as Masked Shooters: Most Certainly Not The First Game With Less Content And Guns Which Are Now A Little Bit Orange Edition. I highly reccomend buying this game for any friends who don't own it already, as it's incredibly cheap on Steam. Of course, if you want it cheaper, you can just play it in a browser.
Jokes aside, only buy this game to laugh at it with a friend, it has "The Room" syndrome, where it's so bad that you get your money's worth in laughter.
