SKILLS
- INFINITE CHARGING: Allows you to fire charged shots instantly, allowing you to defeat enemies with just one shot of your powerful beam rifle.

Amazing game!
Absolutely worth playing even after all these years.
Also the beautiful graphic style makes it timeless.
This game is nauseating to play.
Enemies outrange you when attacking, so you either
A: Need to teleport right on top of them to punch, or
B: Step forward irl risking hitting a wall.
C: Stop playing
Oh, and you just need to wiggle your wrists close enough to an enemy to tickle them to death.
Then there's this one enemy that teleports behind you and with no snap turning (In a game called OVERTURN) you are constantly twirling around wrapping the vr headset wire around your legs until you trip and fall and break your expensive headset.
is just so much more immersive than all other VR games I have tried. I like the story line, puzzle lay outs and all the action. Makes you use your body and your mind.
This is incredible! It is Smashing the Battle in First Person VR. A must-have!
This game needs some love and attention. This doesn't feel like a finished product. I managed to beat the final boss stage and have a fail screen at the same time. I didn't hit the restart button because "cutscene" text appeared and then I loaded the next level. How's that for finding a bug? It has so much potential to be better than it is but it feels neglected and forgotten. It feels like a smart phone game that pulls you in with fantastic trailers and "game play" that when you download it you find that it's a huge disappointment and you can't play the game as you thought it would be played.
Remake the game. I know you can do it. It feels incomplete.
No "turning".
Please add smooth/snap turning and I will change the Review to positive.
Arcadey fun. I strongly recommend using Free Locomotion, as circle-strafing is a critical survival skill in this game.
Turns out this game uses Denuvo. I supported this dev since day one and this is what I get, malware sneaked in and without any disclosure about it on the steam page.
Complete and utter bs.
I could not find out what I am supporsed to do in stage 3.
All I could do was just a game like a claw crane but nothing happened. It never told me what to do and where to go.
During walking around and around and around and around... with no hints to look for the right place to go, I finally got migraine. That's all I could do.
I think this game has too little hints to play. Without tips sites we cannot know what we're supposed to do. And it's just annoying us harshly.
Please make sure your country has plenty of the tips sites for this game before you purchase this game.
At least in Japan, we don't have ones at all.
I winded up quitting to play this game in only 1 hour due to lack of hints and tips. It was literally waste of money. To be honest, I want even the refund. But I know it's impossible. A deal is a deal. I just decided to pay $30.00 for nothing fun.
I will have to be more careful when I see the games by YJM again.
On top of that, this game has a bug around quitting its program.
After quitting this game, this game is left in the library ( oculus home) with status for playing.
I have to restart windows to play other games.
But Magi had really good thighs and taller body than I expected.
I hope she took any reactions to my silly touching.
This game was great its a 1st person shooter VR game. the movement is smooth. melee and ranged combat are possible. exploration and light puzzle solving show off the beautiful graphics in the world. Story is simple but direct and keeps you on point and focused in the action. The ability to control the AI companion from your wrist is great and she feels like she contributes. and the difficulty scales. Some of the mechanics take some getting used to gameplay wise but with practice you get the hang of them and then its really satisfying to clean house with the enemies when you get good at it. One of the most enjoyable vr titles I have experienced so far. if you are looking for adventure or action give this one a go!
This game might not seem fun at the start, if you only watched the gameplay of the first level but let me tell you, with every new level it gets better and better.
New stuff gets introduced, new weapons, different ways to kill the enemies, always keeping the game fresh till the end.
You'll quickly end up with a serious sam-like scenarios in no time at all.
To go more in detail, lets start with the bad:
My complaints are that i wished it was longer, and it had a hard difficulty.
It took me around 5 hours to complete on normal and it left me craving for some more action, maybe even an endless mode where you defend against waves of enemies could be enough.
Now lets talk about the good:
The game is the first of its kind in vr, in the fact that you play the game with a companion in the form of a cute girl, following around and helping you out. This quickly leads to interesting scenarios where you have to decide if you are gonna take that health potion or let her have it instead.
You will also have to micromanage her powers, which adds to the depth of the gameplay by a lot.
The story is interesting and it's worthwile getting to the end, so i'm not gonna spoil any of it.
TL;DR:
good: combat, girl companion, story, freshness of every new level.
bad: lenght, no hard difficulty, some graphical bugs here and there if you are nitpicking.
the graphics are amazing, a very well made game- great vr experince would highly recommed it!
Some minor complaints with controls, but overall a greath asthetic and great looking game. Looking forward to playing through it in it's entirety. A hidden gem amongst the VR offered through Steam.

I really enjoyed this game and felt compelled to keep playing from start to finish which took 3 hours on easy. I'll be playing the normal story mode too though and i'll keep an eye out for the multiplayer mode which is "coming soon".
Theres enough difference in each of the levels to keep things interesting. The game introduces new weapons and skills as you progress. Combat starts slow but quickly picks up the pace, especially in the later levels. Even on easy the boss was challenging, I scraped by with 1hp.
The "Waifu" Magi provides health items and grenades in exchange for magic. You can also switch her to combat mode to help you fight, at the expense of her hp. Magic can also be used for various skills.
TL;DR OVERTURN is a well thought out game and in the top 10% of my VR experiences.
this game is super fun, challenging includes enviromental puzzle like situations and forces you to move your body ducking and dodging sometimes bullet hell like battlles with melee or shooting dual wield as your defense. Teleport or smooth moving available , every level is different and making the game not feel repetitive at all. uses room scale very nice. Graphics are super optimized one of the nicest so far. Also to mention I own many good VR title and i include this one as such.
9 out of 10 because game around 12 levels each level being long tough and with plently of Boss battles in between and different mechanincs added depending stage.
Price is very fair in my opinion
This game could definitley use improvement but that didn't make me dislike it. The story was fun to take part in, and was actually surprising. The only thing I didnt really like was how it seemed the enemies leaned towards quantity over quality. Also, not really an issue, but i would like if the weapons felt like they had more weight to them. I do however like how the transition from fists to swords made you feel powerful (and cool).
Okay, this isn't a very long game, but longer than a lots of other vr titles out there.
Some people say that this game has very shallow storyline, I say hold your words until you go further.
Over all, I really like this game!
It has got very nice graphics, cute little POWERFUL waifu girl following you around and assists you, also some side functionality from her other than regular gun shooting simulator games out there.
There is a quite good storyline, at least for me.
You will discover and understand more about this game world during your progression.
And the game will gets more and more challenging all the way towards to the end.
There is multiplayer mode on its way coming soon, there are some unlockable outfits for the girl character, there is steam vr collectable.
I mean, what else you want?
For me, this is a game that worth the price tag, and I absolutely love it overall.

This game has the best Steam VR Home item on the market, which is the in-game anime companion that you see in the trailer, and to be honest is the main reason I bought the game haha.
The game itself is pretty decent and the character models for main characters look great, but there are a few things I didn't like. It's your typical weak and cliche story where you wake up with no memory. I also don't like the cheap jump scare that's a little bit overused starting in the tutorial level.
A bit pricey at $30. I would recommend it at the $20 sale price I paid for though.
HTC Vive with room scale
51 minutes in and I'm ready for my next session. Because that's what playing Overturn in VR is, a workout session. Finished the first two levels, both pretty much tutorials.
The controls are very simple and explained well via 'manuals' in game. I did try the trackpad movement, but I didn't find it that great for dodging (think strafe on a keyboard/joypad) because I'd often find my wall. So being able to dodge quickly using teleport feel like a cheat, but it's that or hitting my walls. The teleport distance is long enough to explore and it pixelates as you move. Holding the grips to hold an item feels strange since many of the games I've played are click to drop, but I guess it's more realistic, so will take some getting used to.
I really enjoy how the developers remind you to take a rest between each level, by offering a Rest button in the level exit.
Graphics are really good and atmospheric, lighting is really well done - however shadows cast on the player show just the headset and hands - would be good to see a full body shadow.
My only dislike so far is the sound effect made by one of the NPCs in the game, it's highly suggestive but I'm not sure what else I expected from an anime genre game. That said, 90% of what I've seen so far will appeal to action/puzzle gamers who have no interest in anime, so don't let that put you off.
Overall a great game. I'm looking forward to the MP that was suggested in a discussion thread. Given the maze like feel of the 2nd level it would be super interesting to play this in a random generation setup where every level was different, it would add hours more playability.
