Fight off never-ending attacks from merciless bounty hunters in the ruins of the city and survive the harsh conditions of the devastated wasteland.
Play in a beautiful handcrafted pixel art world. Procedurally generated levels mean no run is ever the same. Tread carefully, because permadeath is on your trail. Buy and implant stims to upgrade your skills and increase your chances of survival. Talk to people – maybe they'll help you… Some run the black market and have useful gear for sale. Some will shamelessly rob you while you sleep.

Explore urban districts and the wasteland. Loot weapons, tools and food and repair and mod your loot. Repair broken equipment at workbenches in industrial sectors. Pick the locks of doors or blow them up. Look out for energy stations to recharge armor, lamps, lasers and other energy consuming equipment. Hack into computer systems to access door keys or blueprints for crafting loot at 3D printers.
Make the Knight's armor glow with the laser gun. Sneak past your enemies with the help of the cloak device. Batter bad-guys into submission with the baseball bat. Use the mind controller to ‘persuade’ your opponents to work and fight for you. Stun opponents with flashbangs and rob them afterwards. Use a silencer so the hunters cannot hear you. Pump a load of lead into that stupid laughing Clown!!!
Open loot chambers with a nice little package of dynamite - after you’ve fought your way through the heavily armed guards. Dig for edible roots in the earth of the wasteland and cook them for a nutritious meal. Make a warming campfire at night. Treat your illnesses with mysterious herbs. Look out for the gift drone that drops supporting loot for you. Find a safe place to sleep to avoid being robbed in your sleep or getting your skull bashed in.
The game takes place in a dystopian future where the majority of people live in poverty under an oppressive government. The only hope for a better life seems to be the Lethal Running Game Show, which promises rich rewards to the winners.
As a game show contestant, you must ward off never-ending attacks from merciless bounty hunters in the ruins of the city and survive the harsh conditions of a devastated wasteland. You’ll work hard to upgrade skills like gun handling and melee fighting, but you’re not all brawn. You’ll also have to upgrade your engineering skills, find clean water and cure diseases to ensure your survival.

Sure it seems cool, it's tough, but sadly, I my played a shory time.
Because if you aren't online, you can't play it, and there is no "online only" warming, so fuck this game.
Don't waste your money.
The game crashes right after the video intro. Tried 3 different systems and with the same problem.
If anyone has been able to get it to work please let me know.
I will delete/edit this if the game gets fixed or theirs a workaround available.
It's a big buggy, with the resolutions often seeming to change between levels and crafting sometimes bugging out. But it's been fun playing it so far
Haven't had much time to play it yet, but was pretty cool when it was released in EA. I think it is great that the devs are still at it and releasing updates over a year later. I am looking forward to playing the game again. Grab the game, have some fun, support the devs.
hmmm... the latest update was July 2nd, think the devs gave up on this one?

Put it on your wishlist, and wait until the bugs are fixed.
Update 12/4: After the "full release" and many bugs fixed according to the change log, I tried to give the game another shot. Unfortunately, it now simply crashes after the startup intro. Also, it still says "early access" in the opening screen... so that's not encouraging. I feel like this game had a lot of passion put into it originally but in the latter half of development, when it's time to focus on bug fixes and polish, it seems the devs ran out of time, money, or energy and just pushed it out broken and unfinished.

There's a solid game underneath here, but because the game is very tough, the bugs create a lot of frustration:
- Sometimes, the UI just doesn't work -- buttons can't be clicked, or it freezes. Especially in the crafting menus. I ran into at least 4 variations of this, including the screen being greyed out as though a system menu was up.
- Sometimes, the game will crash upon retry or when changing sectors.
- When you retry, or continue (e.g. after a crash), often your armor and scanner are unequipped, or the mods are, which easily goes unnoticed until you get one-shot by a hunter's pistol.
- Sometimes, you can be standing directly in front of a rat, swing at it with a longer range melee weapon, such as a sword, and it doesn't hit. Other times you can be hit from behind a hunter that's swinging.
- If you try to dodge into a wall (e.g. when escaping), it'll sometimes cause your dodge to go into the complete opposite direction, which can result in a much worse situation than not having dodged at all.
- Sometimes, seemingly after being hit by a flashbang or perhaps when looting lots of items quickly, you can't pick up items any more. They go on the ground as though you don't have space for them (regardless of whether you do), and passers by will pick up your items. Moving to a new sector doesn't fix this. Only restarting the application does.
All that said, there's a very fun, very challenging game underneath it all. I kept beating my head against these bugs for the past few hours because I wanted to play the game underneath it.
The various mechanics in the game play off each other well. Most games with hunger/thirst/disease/etc. tend to just become a slog: keeping the bars topped off is just an annoyance. Lethal Running seems to do a good job of making the management of these variables into actual gameplay, not just a chore.
All-in-all, the bugs might be tolerable for early access if the game weren't so unforgiving otherwise. Due to roguelike instant-deaths and very limited retry options, the bugs go from annoying to game-breaking.
I'll be happy to turn my thumbs-down into a thumbs-up once most of the bugs above are worked out.
It's difficult, but it's been in development since 2015 and despite a lack of polish (it is in early access), it's got a very good vibe and a lot of potential. What it needs now is more people to play to help find bugs and give feedback and for that it needs some exposure.
Definitely give this game a try if you want to get into something that has a ton of potential, it's got survival elements/old school charm and that feeling that if you stick out the difficulty and figure out how to survive, it could be a very rewarding and fun experience, not only to play but to watch talented players play.
I'm not going to explain the game too much here, that's what the store page is for. All I can say is if you're on the fence, give it a chance. I think these people deserve it.
Sounded promising, but the combat is just terrible and ruins the experience. Might have been better as turned-based combat.
edit: Okay, so I played about 30 minutes and I fought some rats. Sometimes I'd click to attack and I'd miss constantly.. the frames don't seem right. Dodging doesn't feel right either. So, I tried using a controller instead of a mouse and it was even worse.

On the up-side, I like the idea a lot. But, I think either the combat needs to be tweaked or a change to turned-based combat might make things more manageable.
Also, the art is pretty amazing. Nice pixelcraft :)
