The Binding of Isaac — это двухмерный шутер со случайно генерируемыми уровнями и элементами ролевых и роуглайк (Rogue-like) игр.

redditor slave mentality game where you win after 10,000 hours and perfecting a mediocre combat system on par with Undertale. LOL
No skin is the game where i am going to DOXX DeltaRune for baiurklye (Regulklatte) hahahah

A lot inferior to the new one and almost unplayable with a monitor above 60 Hz because the game is locked to 30. I'm really good, but even I find it difficult playing after the cathedral because the items are so trash.
Old but gold.Do not recommend as there are newer versions of this game, its very hard and enjoying.
it a fun an adicuting game but the newer ones are way better
Randomized, insane difficulty. Not fun, and a waste of time.
This was the reason I made a steam account. One of the greatest games ive ever played. I first heard of this game when I was in grade 8 from Northernlions play through and something about it just stuck with me. I had to go to the public library to download the demo just to get a taste. Finally buying it for maybe $5 during a halloween sale and using my moms work laptop to play, I spent every chance I could to grind through. I made sure the laptop came with us everywhere we went just so I could progress more. I remember thinking the D6 was the greatest item in any video game ever but I couldn't finish a blue baby run to get it, but one evening while out camping I got a Habit+book of Revelations blue baby run and I have been chasing that high ever since.
Basically, TLOZ-like dungeon crawler, but with a lot of Adobe Flash craziness of 2000s. Nice game! If you're not scared of the graphics, try it out! Definetly worth it!
So essentially this is a paid demo of Rebirth with 30FPS lock, less content and with the stutters. Even Steam Overlay doesn't work at all...
The main complaint about the game: the gamepad doesn't work! Yes, just a regular Xbox gamepad... And what's more, in the settings in the "gamepad" section of the game, the developers write "google it"! What??? Am I here to play? Or to google???
Also, some more comments:
- The game's style is disgusting. A crying boy, throwing tears and blood from his mouth? And I have to watch this for hours during gameplay? No, thanks... I just don't have the desire to launch this horror again
- The game starts in a non-fullscreen mode? Why?
- Constant splash screens when starting the game. Trying to skip them, I constantly go to some sub-menu, from which I have to return to the main one...
- A strange menu, very inconvenient.
Feels like The Binding of Isaac moved to the suburbs and brought all the chaos with it. Fast-paced, weirdly addictive, and full of surprises. That free card you get? Very nice touch love the little rewards!
The Binding of Isaac is a bizarre, dark, and endlessly replayable roguelike that’s managed to carve out a unique space in gaming history. Although it is a great game, It has some technical issues like clunky performance, occasional input lag, and janky physics because it was built in flash. But those technical flaws don’t overshadow what makes the game so compelling. The real magic lies in its gameplay loop. Every run is different, every item combination unpredictable, and every boss fight is a chaotic mess of tears and blood. The sheer amount of items and secrets is staggering, encouraging experimentation and multiple playthroughs. And even if you lose, it rarely feels frustrating, just one more go always sounds like a good idea. Despite its rough edges, The Binding of Isaac is one of the most enjoyable and memorable indie titles of its era. 8/10
Fought Monstro II at base stats and I could only describe the experience as mind-numbing.
It's a classic of the roguelike genre that almost everyone knows by now.
But if you don't - expect slightly distubing themes including the occult, abuse, scat, gore, all wrapped up in a nicely sounding and pretty brown paper package.
You have not worked up the courage to open it yet, the card says it's from mom, but it's not her handwriting.
I could have sworn I took it down to the basement yesterday, like you asked me too, but I have not been able to sleep since it got here, so I may be confused.
Look, I DID NOT DO THIS ON PURPOSE, stop muttering under your breath... what do you mean it was not you?
Yes, I saw it too... it's just a spider though, sometimes they get into packages in the post office, it's perfectly normal, stop being paran
gameplay is slow and everything is randomized
Don't even bother trying to play. It starts hard, near impossible. Then just when you start getting capable, it gets harder. And you think that's it. But then the full game gets even harder. And one last time, even harder. Its fun when you get a good build but holy shit its a grind to even come close to that position. Some items are so trash that they make me want to kill myself faster and cause me to reset the game. I see the potential and there's definitely room for improvement. You'd think its just casual fun when buying this game only for it to turn into a grinding nightmare.
Dogwater optimization, one time it's 60 fps, the other it's 15.
The worst rouge like I have ever played. So much BS, most runs I get unusable worthless items and just have to reset. The DLC adds 90% enemies that suck and there are a lot of rooms where you instantly get hit as soon as you enter the room. If you want to play a rouge like/lite play Hades and Risk of Rain 2.
THIS GAME IS DA MOST EPIC GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED> ME AND MY BOYFREIND LOVE It SO mUCH< WE PLAY IT toGETHER ALL THE TIME EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT THE BEST WE STIILL HAVE A BLASt I LOVE THIS GAME AND I LOVE HIM YIPEE
Should of recommended this one nearly 15 years ago. This is a great game and for $4.99 it is well worth it. This game is so much fun, would highly recommend, if not this one get the newer Rebirth/Afterbirth games, they are just as fun, but more modern and fleshed out.
I got this game long ago and still amazed I beat it in a full run.
Rouge Like Zelda ish twin stick shooter is a good mix and the humor and dark adult comedy style helps with its theme.
I know there are other versions but its nice to play the game where it all began.
Worth playing if you don't have access to Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth.
Game is reasonably difficult and keeping the shooting orthogonal is a fantastic design decision that other games (e.g. Enter the Gungeon, Nine Parchments, etc) lack.
Danny B music (of Super Meat Boy/Crypt of the Necrodancer fame) is fantastic if you can mod it in (if they've not covered it with something else.
Frustrating at times. But a superb and remarkably crafted game.
Really fun rogue like Indie game... very unique and addictive.
Really nice art style. Inspiring and disturbing. Abstract communication which makes it fun and revealing a harsh truth.
Its a fun game about depression.
Cry ISSAC CRYYY!!!!
one of the enemies looks like a bloody pile of shit. would reccomend!
I went to a basement killed some creepy things and killed my mom. Then launched the game
Outdated, outclassed... and still worth finishing
With Rebirth and especially Repentance having vastly improved on almost every aspect of the original, there’s no doubt that this version of The Binding of Isaac has been left in the dust in terms of gameplay, balance, and polish. And yet, after finally completing it, I’m genuinely glad I did.
Yes, the framerate is choppy. The controls can be sluggish. The RNG occasionally throws you into hopeless situations just for the hell of it. But there’s a raw, unfiltered charm here that still manages to shine through. Even the Hard mode, with its wildly overpowered Eternal enemies, has a certain chaotic appeal.
One thing I found surprisingly enjoyable was the soundtrack. It’s quite different from the remake, and while the transitions can be jarring at times, some tracks really grew on me. There’s a grittiness to the sound design that fits the Flash-era aesthetic.
This game may have been outclassed by its successor, but it laid the groundwork (and for what it is, it still holds up better than you’d expect).
Worst and hardest game of my entire life and I have played a lot of hard games if I could I would refund this shit 0/10 dont recommend at all
There is a lot of charm to this game. Its simple, has a lot replay value, and has good music artwork. However, I really can't recommend it over sequel/re-imagining. Controls are slow and clunky, enemies are very fast and always have like 1 more shot of health then they should. Enemy movement is unpredictable and many have on death fast moving bullets that have unpredictable tracking. Shots could go straight or perfectly lead themselves into your movement. To many enemies explode and are fast. Room design is primitive and many have unavoidable damage unless you can either fly or clear the room instantly. Even then you can still easily take damage. Its also very obvious they're aren't that many rooms as you can enter duplicate rooms one after the next. Boss while varied and having some interesting mechanics are bulky and usually have fast moving attacks or annoying boss room layouts.
TL;DR: Play Rebirth this hasn't aged well
The game despite being 14 years old at review time is a masterpiece very replayable and super fun.

Demon girl at half a heart
10/10 mom tried to kill me instead i killed myself.
Bought this because of nostalgia from 12 years ago but its pretty shit ngl. Game runs incredibly poorly compared to its new version, white enemies are unfairly balanced, popping up every single room isnt a good design for a difficulty spike and they make progression genuinely frustrating when you dont get good items. Many combinations of items are missing that are in repentance and a couple of other things. Just buy the new game.
Fun for a few sessions, but too repetitive, too fast.
The Binding of Isaac is a weird game with a twisted art style, story and enemies. You fight your way out of your mother's uterus, while fighting against bleeding anuses, cysts, headless people, tape worms and other vile creations. The goal is the same every time, fight your way through various levels and eventually break free of your prison.
This game is hard as balls. It is part of its charm and is on par with games like Super Meat Boy. I like a good challenge, although some deaths are a little cheap.
In terms of graphics, the game looks simple but nicely animated at the same time. The gore is detailed the environments are nicely done.
The music is excellent. For some reason it captivates the weird and disturbing aesthetic of this game in a flawless way.
The controls are fluent, are easy to understand and just work.
In my own personal taste, I have a dislike for games that reset completely when you die, after collecting a lot of items, gear and coins. This is one of the reasons that I do not care for this game too much.
My problem with this game is that it is too repetitive and boring. Sure, this can be a certain charm, but with The Binding of Isaac, I had enough after a few games. Sure, the enemies, items, environments and crazy stuff all around you changes every time you play, but the principle is still the same and gets kind of boring.
Every playthrough is also a gamble. Sometimes you get overpowered items that obliterate everything in your path, other times you are stuck with a debuff that messes up your playthrough.
In the end, the repetitiveness and pricing of The Binding of Isaac makes me not recommend this game. It is simply not for me.
super fun always something new no matter how many times I play
great game for being made with flash
actually impressive. the only major flaws are dogshit performance (flash being absolutely god awful) and no controller support (joy to key is kinda janky to use). i would love to see a remake of this game (not rebirth and repentance by extension) that runs at 60 fps and has joystick compatibility. no grafical improvement.
It's super difficult and gross, but it has incredible depth and variability. In other words, it's a perfect rogulelike.
Difficulty from this game stems from the lack of guidance/information this game gives you. Items have no descriptions. Making online guides required in order to know what certain items do (every time you play).
Pretty dark weird game and fairly gross but whatever.
They should add some more DLC to the game, like one you are reborn, then another where you play with your afterbirth, then you play with your afterbirth again, probably one where you repent, and then an online one where you repent online.
I like this game. It's cute it's simple and not trying to do too many things at once. At its price, it is absolutely worth it and would recommend but the gameplay is simple and doesn't have all that much variance, but enough cool cute features to keep it worthwhile.
Very fun but I died a lot and I hate the little laser dudes they can all go die
i love the game! starting cutscene is very sad and really builds up the world, also i love the references to mythology and overall lovely
bash on religion
the game is pretty good by the way
this game is unnecessarily more difficult than rebirth. get repentance instead but get this if you like pain and like repentance.
ima be honest this version really isn't that good the frame rate is pretty bad and I wouldn't say the game itself is bad I do love isaac but this version of isaac just isnt worth it unless you really want a 100% game since its shorter then rebirth but just go for rebirth honestly
This game makes me wanna crash out but its hella baller (Cain is the issue)
Even if you have rebirth i think this game is amazing and worth buying if you want that nostalgic feel. The game is a little janky which is funny (for example finding brimstone in the curse room). And the music is amazing. Some people complain about how the game is choppy and low fps but i personally don't really care about it
pretty featureless, old supported resolution (stuck on 1200xsomething), no much configurations, only one game mode and yeah not really funny..
Rating: 9/10
The Binding of Isaac is a brutally challenging, endlessly replayable roguelike that combines disturbing themes with addictive gameplay. The randomly generated dungeons, countless item synergies, and unpredictable runs make every playthrough feel fresh, ensuring no two games are the same.
The controls are simple, but the difficulty is unforgiving—boss fights, tricky enemy patterns, and RNG-heavy item drops can make runs feel either godlike or absolutely miserable. The dark, grotesque art style won’t appeal to everyone, and the story (if you can call it that) is disturbing, with heavy religious symbolism and unsettling imagery.
While the base game is solid, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and its expansions (Afterbirth, Repentance) turn it into one of the best roguelikes ever made. The only major downside is the reliance on RNG—some runs feel unfairly bad, making progression frustrating. But for players who love challenge and experimentation, Isaac is a masterpiece in the genre.
fun but so, so hard
