I think I got this game for free, as a gift, or something. It's like, a Chinese wave shootery dealie, but one with marvelous production values. It looks like Cyberpunk 2077 (in some fashion) and the whole bombast of the plot and shooting and stuff in the cars, etc. It's all very impressive. I get a strong VR arcade vive from this game. My favorite arcade game is the Terminator 2 with the big gun.

Less than an hour of gameplay before you run out of levels. It says they plan to add more soon but it's been 4 years so I don't think that's happening. This is a very expensive demo for a game that doesn't exist.
Very fun game to play however with the games length being so short id recommend this as a 5$ sale item.
Great but very short, still totally worth play if you like games like Super Hot or Robo Recall
Fun and Stylized shooter but lacking content
I had a lot of fun with it, but just going through the 5 missions in the game took less than an hour. It says there will be more missions coming but it's been 2 years already. I did have fun with it and it made me want more but I unfortunately doubt that's going to happen.
If it's on sale for $5 then buy it but even at $10 from the normally $20 full price? It's a pass.
good game and enjoyable, short game tho needs more content. defo a purchase is ever $5 at $15-20 eh its ok. i dont feel bad about the purchase as it is fun just wish there was more ( about 2 hrs gameplay )
I have to admit I was mixed about which way my review would go here.
It's similar to other wave shooters which admittedly isn't my favourite genre but I did get into this. You have two pistols with infinite ammo, you can pick up weapons and grenades with a tether and also grab groggy enemies for bonus health and ammo.
I found grenades a pain to throw and the weapons you can pick up felt less useful than the pistols to be honest so stopped bothering with them.
The graphics are decent (HTC Vive on GTX 1080) and the sound is functional but not remarkable.
The game is a lot of fun and in the second half actually gave my lazy bones some exercise as it moved from merely hiding behind cover to having to physically dodge away from projectiles, I was sweating somewhat once I'd finished.
That's where the issue lies, I completed the game in less than an hour.
I know it's an arcade style game and is meant to be replayed to get better scores and complete at more difficult levels but it is still very little content for £14.99
I'm going to give this a positive begrudgingly as I do think you should wait for a sale, I got it for around half price and I don't feel ripped off, but if I'd paid full for it I would probably be feeling less positive.
Once you complete the game it hints at a 2nd Episode and more content but considering t.he time lapsed since the game was released I'm pretty doubtful that will come
This game is well worth a lookie, first VR game i couldnt put down.. or take off, really good graphics, excellent dodge system, love shooting fireballs coming at you, the train made me a bit giddy but actually liked it, love the movement system once you get the hang of it and would definitely recommend it anyone looking for a fast paced shooter with plenty of action. Wish it was longer ,only thing, cant wait for more of it! keep me posted!
The game has a Time Crisis feel to it, which I love.. Really felt like this game could have been made by Namco. Maybe the lack of options and content may be too thin for some, but I think the developers were going for a simplified arcade feel to the game because it shows. Quick, visceral instant fun with an emphasis on taking cover, waiting for your opportunity to emerge, and strategically shooting. I wouldn't say it's the deepest shooter out there, but it just feels right, which is a success in my opinion. I had lots of fun with the combo/slow-mo system. I felt the same way about this game as I did with the early Oculus exclusive Damaged Core by High Voltage. BIg emphasis on quick bursts of action-packed gameplay. This ain't Doom, it's arcade inspired more similar to Virtua Cop or Time Crisis.
I don't recall being told this was an early access game, but it sure feels like one. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with early access, have bought more than a few of them myself. But at least they tell you about it unlike with this game.
There are only a few missions before you are told in-game that they plan on adding more missions later on. There are also only a couple of different types of enemies. Most of the "content" of this game is in the training mode. This game has potential, no doubt about it, but right now this is at best a beta.
[Edit]
It has now been almost 10 months since the last update for this game, and no news of the supposed levels they promised to add via an in-game message. Do yourselves a favor and stear clear of this one. It's dead.
Another "okay" VR game for me.
Nice graphics, good immersion, old school rail shooter vibe (I remember myself having that same feeling back then when I was playing Time Crisis in arcade gamecenters). I love those trains hijacking mission, I works great in VR.
A few bugs though, I had to restart a mission because I was stuck and achievements didn't unlock while I played the game (not a single one of them). The plot of the game isn't mindblowing or anything, but it doesn't feel like it's a problem when playing the game.
Also, there is 4 lvl of difficulty : novice, expert, nightmare and extreme. Do not expect any kind of difficulty before the Extreme mode. This game is god damn easy. Some will like it, some won't.
So you are going to say, "Hey why don't you recommend this game ? You seem to have had a pretty enjoyable experience !" Well here comes the real problem : it's god damn short.
Oh no, don't get me wrong : even for a VR title, it's too damn short. To complete the whole game in "novice" took me an hour. I started the game again and again and went through expert and nightmare difficulties, thing I usually don't do with other games (when I finish them, I normally just move on to another game).
So yeah, I can't recommend this game for now, not that it is bad or anything.
Devs said they were going to upload new missions, which is fine. But for now, even for VR, it's really really short.
one of the better looking vr games, i mean the graphics are insane and the way this game runs is great, very smooth/ allthough the lack of missions was a let down but i hope they add somemore, was fine while it lasted!
This was a pleasant surprise.
The game makes really smart use of your play area by giving you stuff to duck behind or around and move around and dodge in your environment in a way that I haven't seen other games pull off this well yet.
It's super fun, it's great cardio (which is starting to be my litmus test for VR games - how much do I sweat), but it's unfortunately very short.
Brilliant game and with nice visuals. Despite being rather picky with vr games now because of many cash grab and low production demos, I thought I would keep away from generic shooters. Something grabbed me here. Was not disappointed in the least, despite not playing it long on the first run. No regrets at all!
This seems like one of the best FPS title.
Most of the games in VR have trouble dealing with motion sickness but not this one.
The mechanic is also enjoyable, with something kinetic-psycho power you can blow the enemy up when they are stunned,
which makes time slow effect to all characters but the player.
That means it is possible to keeping enemies stunned and keep the time-slip mode to wipe the enemies out.
I will wait for the updates that could make this game even better.
8 out of 10
1. Fine graphic as a VR FPS title
2. Interesting combat system
3. Multiple missions to play (even I do not understand the streamline)
4. Arsenal
5. Big guns
6. Rachel is kawaiii
7. Blowing zombies up
8. Diffuculties
9. No free movement
10. So whats the story?
Pretty good start for a VR game. The dizzy + blast 'em up in slow mo mode is pretty fun, but it gets a little repetetive. Would be nice to have some upgradeable gear and guns. There's a menu for unlocks but after playing for 60 minutes I didn't unlock a single thing.
Having the camera rotate after you warp is super confusing.
It's definitely an unfinished game at this point, but what's in there is still pretty good compared to what's out there for the vive. Hopefully the devs will keep working on it.
Very similar to dead effect 2 with limited options, movement, enemies and weapons. Still quite a good game VR wise and better than 70% of VR titles on steam, just if you already have dead effect 2 or are tossing up between the two dead effect 2 is better value and better gameplay, movement, story etc.
Still a recommended though as it's great for those who like more arcadey type games and it is a very polished game for VR.
Basically an arcade version of dead effect 2.
Amazing Game. One that I will use to show people how great VR can be. Feels like an exspensive Arcade Game. This is the first review I have ever done. So, this should mean something!
disappointing at first that you can't move around.
But it's basically a cover shooter where with progression through each level.
Graphics are great.
Enemies look great. Lots of weapons and stuff to pick up off the floor.
When you do the Telekenisis kill it ranks your kill and I think you use the points to upgrade your weapons.
Intense action. I ran into my wall once.
It's a keeper.
Update: The game is pretty short. Can be finished in less than an hour...but like any good arcade game it's meant to be mastered..and it gets pretty hard.
Pro Tip: see how far you can get in the wave shooter training mode. it actually gets pretty interesting.
