Wonderful game play, Beautiful and peaceful environments.
Each level is so unique and challenging to play, worth every penny enjoyed it a lot.
A nice casual game with mechanics that make you think twice.Needs a frame limiter though
Cubots is an awesome puzzle game, with combinations of amazing textures, mechanics and a soothing music all over a perfect relaxing game. Of all the cube games I have played I love this game. #BRAVO STREET LAMP GAMES.
I'd like to play more games from you guys, keep it up. I rate 5/5 for the game.
The game is aesthetically pleasing, the environment setup, game play everything is top-notch, its kind of its own, the innovative ideas for each level has kept me captivating, using something as simple as cube and being able to draw a marvellous game out of it, is only done by few of them. Kudos, to Street Lamp Games for making such a wonderful game.Looking forward to more games like this. Much love and respect!
Cubots is an amazing puzzle adventure game. It's got great background soundtracks and very smooth/ fluid animations. Its simple art style is portrayed really beautifully. Its got brilliant puzzles with new game mechanics being introduced one-by-one as you progress up the levels. A few levels can seem a bit challenging at first, but after a few tries of trial and error, you understand the the puzzles and obstacles of the level and figure out the path to take to complete the level.
Over all a really good, fun and challenging game.
An Excellent puzzle platformer game with good mechanics and art. Straight forward interface and tutorials make the game lucid enough for players of any age. I hope more levels are added as soon as possible.
A warning to potential buyers:
The final "forest" level (15) has bugs, reported a year ago, that prevent the level's completion, and the developer seems to have abandoned the game. This is a shame as I'd been enjoying it up until that point, despite its various flaws.
Show-stopping bugs + absent dev = thumbs down!
For an instance I thought it's going to be a routine cube puzzle game but to my surprise this game has blew my mind. Wow, Brilliant Gameplay and Design. Graphically it is so cute, minimalistic and astonishing.
Game consists of 2 zones, which are Forest and Desert with unlockable levels. Collect enough collectables and push the blue cube towards finish area to proceed further levels. Game looks simple but the difficulty of each level increase with not only obstacles but also the size of the whole level. One must finish atleast 15 levels to feel the essense of this beautiful game. Brilliant puzzles, few tries to understand the route and move ahead to the finish area.
Worth every single penny.
Worst game I've ever played.
I'm deleting it from my library since I could not get a refund.
It might look good, but don't let if fool you, it's the only thing this game has to offer.
Cool little puzzle game, but unfortunately needs a bit of work on some tiny (yet important) details. For example, no options menu to change music or sfx volumes. While the volume levels aren't anything out of the ordinary, I still sometimes like to turn the game music down while I listen to my own in the background. There's actually no options menu at all, for anything. I couldn't even find a way to quit or save so when I finally wanted to stop playing I had to alt-F4 to get out. Other than that, there are quite a few grammatical and linguistical errors. At the time of this review I've played 10 levels and didn't encounter any game breaking bugs, but a few annoyances happened that caused me to have restart a couple of the forest levels. The overall gameplay itself has been fine.
One might think that these things aren't serious enough reasons to not recommend the game - sure, the grammar isn't a reason - but being held as a captive prisoner and not being able to save or exit is a fairly decent reason that should be easily rectifed. Once things are straightened out, I'll change my review to something a little more deserving.
First impression: annoying box-pusher action puzzle
After 10 of 25 levels, I'm fairly annoyed with this game. I'm pushing boxes like Sokoban, except they're annoying jelly boxes. And then you get a new gimmick introduced on every level: switches, teleports, mines, enemies. If a game mechanism is good, surely you can make more than one level actually utilizing it. What is the use of introducing a game mechanic to a puzzle game if you can't actually make a bunch of good puzzles with it? Then you can die. or you can fail levels by failing your twitch reaction, aka not pushing a switch at the precisely correct timing.
CUBOTS tries to be a stealth action puzzle game, but that's a recipe to clutter, not to greatness. (And neither are ALL CAPS. What is it the "Origins" of, anyway? It doesn't seem similar to the two Cubot mobile games I could find.) Puzzle games need to be precise and predictable, and CUBOTS fails at both.
CUBOTS doesn't play as well as it looks. It feels like it should be a free flash game.
This game runs windowed or fullscreen.
It is more of a PUNISHER platformer than a CASUAL puzzle game. Not polished enough, even for this price. Awful menus, bad puzzle design, the english translation is horrible. One cannot restart from the last unfinished level, nor select any particular finished one, as for some strange reason the levels are divided into stages.
First time ever asking for a refund. Avoid even when on a discount.
I booted this game up and started playing it and I thought, wow this game is pretty neat it has a great soundtrack and everthing even the game play is pretty fun. However once you get to some of the more complicated levels it becomes really frustrating. If you happen to get pretty far in one of the later levels and end up dying or misusing the puzzle items incorrectly it sends you back to the start.
On a first glance this game might look easy, but you will be in for a challenge. you will be frustrated at times but completing the harder levels will feel very rewarding.
Controls are good, soundtrack is good doesn't get annoying when you play for a long time.
The game is well worth the price (€2,99).
Mind blowing music, Nice gameplay. Too easy but very difficult to finish the game makes it very unique from the puzzle game genre. Minimalistic and natural colors for environment and soothing music, which are very peaceful to the mind. Definitely a worthy game but game requires level revamp as level 10 is way difficult than level 11 and 12. Especially Desert level music was a trendsetter and desert level 3-6 designs are class apart, very challenging desert levels. Looking forward for snow levels.
Isometric physics puzzle game. Push cubes on switches, avoid other cubes, direct lasers etc. Pretty typical stuff.
The game looks beautiful, which is its greatest asset.
The downsides:
- Awful mobile port interface. You can only interact with menus using mouse, but you play on keyboard
- Some glitchy graphics effects.
- Long levels without saves or checkpoints. Pretty soon, I got annoyed at having to replay the same parts over and over again.
I paid 2 euro for it, and for that price, it's recommended. But I wouldn't pay more for it.
Action-adventure with cube games, is definitely a game changer. I have seen games cube moving cubes but never seen this kind of action sequences especially from later on levels. Please mention level number on top of each level, to understand where we stand in the game. Even minor bugs can be neglected because of the price you're offering in store. Well done Developers!
An excellent Indie platformer with steady controls and great soundtrack that will leave you wanting more. Artistic adventure game with unique puzzles. This game truly makes you think and can challenge you. If you like puzzle games you should buy this, it might feel short. but i feel it woth every penny, you can also buy it on steam sale and it is definitely worth your time and money. The game start off with simple puzzles, but they get mind-blending difficult. Really polished controls, good game optimization, pretty good graphics and mesmerizing background music.
nice game with adventures game play , awesome environments and nice work....
