This game saved my life in so many ways... I have just had my appendix removed after playing this game noticing serve abdominal pain after achieving S rank on one of the songs.
Turns out I had asymptomatic appendicitis and without it would have ruptured without me knowing
My family thanks you Beat Games and I will always be grateful knowing that if I hadn't played and not been in so much pain I wouldn't have gone to the hospital early to get it checked out.

Really satisfying if you enjoy rhythm games, though I personally stick to custom songs.

Modding is easy, but it would be even better if the developers didn’t keep breaking mods with every update just to add more DLC. Luckily, that has an easy solution.

Any game that also acts as exercise is a win win and Beat Saber is a very fun game. There’s few things like getting into a flow state while playing and having the notes all line up as you bob to the music. With the ability to download custom maps you’re not even limited to the lineup of artists that come with the DLCs.

I grew up with this game, It's really good. I just REALLY wish they would interact with their modding community more. It's basically their entire player base and it would be really cool if they added official support or funding for tournaments

The definitive VR "must have" game. But custom maps are essential to keep it interesting.

Genuinely my favourite VR game but probably not worth it if you don't plan on modding unless there is a DLC pack that you really want to play as a rhythm game.

The base songs aren't terrible but not what I'd be wanting to spend dozens of hours playing/listing to. The single player campaign gets brutally difficult in ways that I find pointless. For example the current one i'm stuck on is to get no less than 32 combo but no more than 34 and honestly I'll never pass it because it's just not worth the effort.

There is a big modding community however that let you import hundreds of songs and that's where the fun is at.

If you use a Quest save yourself the trouble and buy this very cool game on the Meta store to avoid potentially significant performance issues...

I've tried about 30 different things to get rid of the infamous micro-stutters from Steam Link / SteamVR via WiFi. My WiFi can keep up and I know this from monitoring the real-time transfer rate. It's very obvious when stutters happen as the rate drops to nearly 0 for a split second then comes right back up and maintains a solid 280-300 mpbs; the router can go higher than that. My GPU is RTX 4070 SUPER. A ton of locations have reported this as an issue with SteamVR as of a more recent-ish update that remains unresolved.

I changed various settings within SteamVR and got the stutters significantly reduced but once you start playing on Expert and want to get SS grade performance, the blocks are going by fast enough that 1 stutter completely removes your ability to hit a block even if you're doing the correct hand motions, which is super frustrating.

Avoiding SteamVR is the way to go here unless you can run via cable, maybe then the stutters won't happen.

Beatsaber is 10/10, but not when delivered via Steam. There's also naturally no cross-buy (e.g. if I want to play it directly from the Quest headset I have to buy it again on the Meta store).

In overhall, Beat Saber is a must have VR game.
New player in VR or experienced VR player, you will find your place since this game is really beginner friendly.
Various free maps to choose from, each having their own difficulty and theme, while DLCs does have a price and can be quite expensive,
the modding community is here to back you up.

Ever since I played this game for the first time back in 2019 I absolutely fell in love with it.

The game itself is extremely addicting and because of the fact that it's a rythm game it's pretty much endless. Even after almost 7 years post release Beat Saber still holds the title of one of the best VR games out there.

In terms of content there are new updates coming out every few months with a variety of fun music packs. It's recommended to mod the game as these make it much more enjoyable.

They keep making modding more difficult. Screw the devs.

An absolute must play for VR.

Great game. This is THE VR rhythm game. without a doubt. This is the only reason I bought a VR headset and This is the only game I ever come back to.

I just wish the mods didn't break EVERY SINGLE PATCH.

This game does get you really tired and sweaty if you're playing the higher difficulty maps though. so just a heads up!

loved this game! and well.. basic summary: works like a charm, pico 4 ultra as vr, got mods and enhanced gameplay.

Best (and only) rythm game I've ever played.. though the mod community in BS really carries this game - I mean it's still fun without mods but there's a lot less content to choose from. Still, been playing this for couple years (even if not that actively) and it's hella fun, especially when you get to the Expert+ levels :)

It's like Osu but better and no wrist pains :)
I like dancing so being able to physically move and engage with the song is way more fun.
Going for way longer than I should is super easy when you are jammin.

Besides other musics being expensive it's a good game but it is sometimes too hard and repulsive

Once you're done with the tutorial, the game is ONLY good with mods! While it costs $2 per DLC song from the official developers, there are tens of thousands of community made maps that are FREE! Plus way cooler effects, sounds and visuals than base game... and community made maps actually have good flow. The majority of the free official songs are mapped in a way that just feels... not as good... once you start playing the community maps.

I have not played this game much yet but i really like it, its even more fun with mods

Great game to smash and slice notes and really fun to do the different songs as well. It really makes me feel alive and excited for VR and also pretty fun to do it with friends too. Its also great for pretty good exercise as well.

I love the game, but I hate that greedy developers, who are even against modding (sorry emotions)

worth the purchase alot of fun, but only worth it if you plan on modding. otherwise dlc gets pricy and the game gets repetitive

This is the first VR game that I ever played. It is so simple and unique that anyone would enjoy this game. It matches any level of difficulty. It blew my expectations away. I personally would recommend this game modded. The insane amounts of stuff that can be done in this game with mods is incredible at least check out the mods. This game is what you make it. If you want it to be a challenge then it can be. If you want it to be a breeze then make it that. The game is completely under your control. I would recommend this game to anyone and everyone who is curious enough to try it, 10/10.

Can't say much more than the other positive reviews. Tons of fun in VR!

Two negatives from my perspective though are: the cost for the DLC songs at $2 each and the lack of native 'spectator mode' support when streaming/casting.

Hi this game is so super fun you just have to get it but it wouldnt be as fun without custom songs but i would really recommend this game to everyone its prob the best vr game of all time you just have to get it

very fun and also a good cardio work out (just make sure to take breaks every so often, overdoing it and you risk hurting yourself). other than that its very fun to play and if you play official multiplayer expert, STOP CHOOSING CAMELLIA LEVELS (oh and power of the saber blade)

Its fine like its a good game but 40 dollars, are we for real? no where near enough content for 40 whole dollars, i can maybe excuse licensed songs as dlc but even then there incredibly overpriced, this game is still worth buying because as i said, good game STRUCTURE and you know, mods, their free, but negative review because this is frankly unacceptable.

I think I sprained my wrist playing some of the latest OSTs. As well as I now can no longer feel my arms. Besides these minor issues, I would recommend to those considering purchasing this game.

An absolute must have VR game. It's simple to understand, it's fun and a great way to introduce people into VR without the hassle of movement.

This game is really addicting and fun once you get to the higher level of skill in it. 10/10 must play.

ive been trying for months to play and nothing i do will let me play it keeps dissconnecting my headset and crashing vr i have not downloaded any mods or anything extra the base game wont work from day 1

This game is amazing. Not only that u will do basically a workout but also u have to think about what to hit and u improve your hands speed which is really important for goal keepers,boxers and others.

I think its definitly best VR game i own and played

One of the first game I played and still the best, though this is second, my first is job simulator ;)

Exercising made fun! Very cool lighting and very good picked-out songs (You can get more if you mod the game, sshh) Cool way to keep me fit while staying inside my cozy home.

All in all, I need new arms.

When I got the game it worked perfectly fine but 2 days after I got it the game would not load I've already tried multiple things to fix it but it still won't load.

Beat Saber is such a great game, and I had a blast playing it for about an hour when I first tried it. The gameplay is so much fun, and the music really fits the rhythm-based action. But the next day, when I went to play again, I got hit with this error: "OpenXR Runtime not found. Please ensure you have the correct OpenXR runtime configured, and then restart the game."

I’ve tried everything to fix it—restarting the game, rebooting my PC, reinstalling the game, and even checking for updates to make sure everything’s up to date. I also went through the OpenXR runtime settings, but nothing works. I really enjoy the game, but now I can’t even play it. It’s super frustrating, and it seems like a lot of other people are dealing with the same issue. Hopefully, the devs can fix it soon, but for now, it’s just really disappointing.

Love this game, modding it is great. Music from games I used to play like Destiny 1, or songs that are heavy metal are the best!

Beat Saber is really fun to play online and solo and The music packs are really good! If you don't have enough money to buy this game, Save up to get money! I just play beat saber for The Metallica music pack. I really love it! There's so many osts to play! 10/10 the best i ever bought on Steam.

Beat Saber is a fun game but as of right now I cannot recommend this game. Over the years I have played the game on and off and when I first bought the game I loved it. I beat the campaign and then decided to attempt to get every achievement. I got most of them except for two which were to get an overall player score of 100 million and to perfect 15 songs on expert. I managed to perfect 12/15 songs on expert and was roughly 3/4 of the way or so on completing the 100 million score achievement before deciding to take a break from the game. After returning some time later and after some updates came to the game in that time I noticed all of my in game progress was reset.. This was annoying but I shrugged it off and decided to start again from scratch on those last two remaining achievements. I managed to perfect the same songs I had already done prior but was not anywhere as close as I once was to the 100 million achievement. I figured it would take some time but in the meantime I would focus on perfecting 3 more songs and worry about the accumulative score achievement later. Once again I decided I would revisit the game at a later date only to find out that yet again after some updates that all of my progress in game was gone.. This is beyond frustrating for someone who wants to 100% a game they find enjoyable. I fail to understand why when this game receives an update it wipes the player's progress but apparently it does and for that I cannot recommend this game to anyone. As for myself I do not see me returning a third time to attempt these achievements. Overall its a fun game and can be a blast to play but the consistent loss of progress makes this game a no for me going forward. Very disappointing..

Great game if you have a vr headset you must play beatsaber. The modding community is great as well almost an endless amount of custom maps & tons of mods.

I download songs there have not ran into malware but i did run into a Trojan with Mod Assistant. I don't know if this was a false or real but it happend when i tried to zip Mod assistant
But the game is really really good and i would recommend it
