cyubeVR has full support for Valve Index Controllers, with fully tracked fingers! Well animated fingers are also supported on other controllers (e.g. Quest).
About the Game
cyubeVR (pronounced Cube VR) is a virtual reality voxel game fully designed for VR.
The world in cyubeVR is entirely procedurally generated. Enter a seed or let the game generate one for you, and explore a unique and detailed infinite world that no one ever saw before.
Find your way through complex cave networks going deep into the ground, climb up huge hills to get a great view over the world or try to build yourself a way up to massive floating islands.
All of that fully optimized for VR to get you the most immersive experience possible. There are no limits how far you can travel – your unique world is infinite in size.
Gather resources in the world and use those to build anything you have in mind. Allow your creativity and imagination to run free. Design a fortress on top of a mountain, construct a bridge to connect two floating islands or dig yourself deep into the ground and work on complex underground structures.
Experience a building system exclusively optimized for roomscale VR in a way that was never seen before. You can even move blocks after you have placed them!
Thanks to roomscale VR, even have a good conscience for the workout you did while you can marvel your new creations.
In VR there is no need for any UI, menus or buttons for crafting. Just use your hands and naturally craft tools and other items directly in the world.

Gravity Gloves! You never have to bend down or move much to reach items or tools - you can easily grab anything using gravity gloves:
Dynamic Weather! The weather dynamically and smoothly changes between sunny, rain, and snow. And cyubeVR probably has the best-looking snow of all existing VR games!
Great building controls, designed from the ground up for VR! You can mine, collect and charge magic crystals to conveniently place up to 9 blocks at once.
Full finger tracking on the controllers that support it (Valve Index Controllers), and the closest possible approximation on other controllers (Touch Controllers, Vive Controllers)
The game automatically detects which controller you are using and adjusts the controls to optimally work with your controller, and automatically shows you the tutorial fitting for your exact controller - currently, the game has 4 different control schemes, individually designed for:
- HTC Vive Controllers
- Valve Index Controllers
- Oculus Touch Controllers (Rift, Rift S, Quest, Quest 2)
- Windows Mixed Reality Controllers
Use either Smooth Locomotion or Teleport, depending on what you prefer. For the locomotion, you can choose between controller-oriented and head-oriented Smooth Locomotion. For turning, you can choose between snap turning and smooth turning. Snap turning offers options for either 22.5° steps or 45° steps, while smooth turning allows you to freely adjust the turn speed with a slider.
Dynamic Picture Frames that allow you to import any custom PNG/JPG files from your PC and display them in fully resizable and movable picture frames that you can decorate the wall of your virtual house with:
Dual Wielding with all tools! Twice as fast, and twice the fun.
There's an awesome furnace in the game, fully controlled with realistic VR mechanics! No UI interaction. Put combustible items into the lower chamber of the furnace, place items to melt in the upper chamber of the furnace, use flintstones to realistically generate sparks that light up the fire, and watch it operate!
You can easily collect items into your inventory using the awesome vacuum bucket that can be enhanced further with magic crystals for an even stronger effect! Blue crystal energy makes the bucket suck, red crystal energy makes the bucket blow. Use sunlight to charge a crystal blue, or use moonlight to charge a crystal red.

This game is honestly really fun to play. the graphics is amazing and the the view is jaw dropping. Ive lost count of the amount of times ive come home from work and get lost in this game. Though i do wish there was a little more immersion like farming, survival aspects or even something like redstone from mc. Other than that i would recommend the game as it is easy to just let loose and relax
It's lacking content and things to do after a short while, but I won't judge since it's in early access. I'd say it's worth a try in it's current state :D
This is a very well made foundation for creating a fully fleshed-out game!
Things I would love to see:
-Any kind of enemies
-Clothing/armor
-A hunger/thirst and body temperature system
-More animals (killable, lootable, farmable, etc.)
-Crops
..and minecarts would be cool too!
I've only been playing it for like a few hours after I got it and I know it shouldn't say it but it gives me vibes as if I'm being playing total minor Forge could be my imagination but I get the same feeling accepted VR instead of just a flat screen but I must make it took a while to figure out how to take care of things and do things but it was fun it has potential maybe we'll see like structures later on and you know naturally spawning ones for looting and whatnot oh and one other thing to the Dev team you might want to do something about the deer because when it snows the kind of look evil unless that's deliberate it could just be me but they look a little odd when it snows I don't know how they can see like that but I know it's just a game but still other than I actually quite enjoyed even though I only played it for two hours I'll have to get back to it again and finish off the challenges and whatnot

honestly this game is really cool and i can see it having a lot more content in the future people that are complaining that it took 8 years to make this and its boring dont quite understand how difficult it is to make a game and on top of it it is hyper realistic (like the lighting and textures) and vr which i think having this much WHILE BEING BUG FREE is insane they did this much in 8 years and THEY ARE INDIE DEVS how insane is that? anyway great game excited for more
This game is a lot of fun, and isn't just some simple Minecraft clone, as the visuals may let on. The game stands out on its own, though I recommend watching some videos before buying to get a proper idea of what you're getting into, and what you can do. Some of my favorite things about this game have got to be the crafting system, the paintings, the super friendly dev, and the echoes in the cave. Especially the echoes, they caught me by surprise, but your own voice actually echoes back at you! However, the game is taxing on the CPU, and doesn't play nice with discord... or crafting torches too fast (which crashes my game, specifically if I assemble them too fast). As well, the lighting from torches could be a bit smoother, it currently feels like they cut off really short. Otherwise, I love this game, I'd definently recommend it if your computer can run it!
really impressed with this game so far, I've only played for a few hours but I'm hooked. It's hard not to compare every voxel game to minecraft but in this case it feels like the dev has taken inspiration from it but still made it into something unique to the point it doesn't feel like clone but its own individual game. My only negative point is that after 6 hours I've pretty much ran out of things to do. But I see the dev updates regularly so I'm hoping this continues.
Overall I'm happy with it and I think it was money well spent.
This is minecraft with down syndrome, very boring, nothing to do but collect blocks and build, they plan to add water and i'm sure crappy mobs that attack at some point, but if it took 8.5 years to get this minimal content, dont expect much to change for long periods of time. As of now its a waste of time and money. i mean why add dumb animals that you can only pick up or pet before adding mobs to fight , water or farming???? even the gathering and building is slow and painful. thank god for the mods that auto tunnel and help QOL its sad that it's the community that has to add the fun and effective stuff.
as always i'll hope for the best and expect the worst.
oh and always look at time played when referring to the positive reviews, too many players just like leaving reviews yet barely even play the damn game.

games like these make me wish steam had a middle-ground option, because I recommend this game only if you understand what you're buying
I want to say that the game is enjoyable, and definitely a great VR game to just relax and exist in-- with very beautiful vistas found aplenty and great ambient sounds-- but it's rather content dry right now. be aware that buying this game is essentially an investment, because as far as i'm aware there's literally just one (very active and communicative) guy working on this game
the game is very slow-paced and focuses a lot on immersion over snappy gameplay (for example, to craft items, you literally have to "build" them as if they were legos), which can be a turn-off if you're going in expecting "lolol minecraft with shaders in vr" and as it stands there are definitely some improvements to be made (digging with a shovel feels extremely awkward, the vacuum bucket even moreso on top of having a disappointingly small range)
if you want minecraft in VR... dude there's literally a minecraft VR mod go play that instead lmao
I'm excited to see what this game has in store, but it is very much an early access game and with only a solo dev working on it I wouldn't exactly expect the game to be "finished" any time soon-- for better or worse
Seems fun but made me dizzy so beware if you get motion sick easy
Be careful buying because when I got it and played it and it was a glitchy it was not playable.

you guys are going to add something other than just just building right? I mean being creative is cool, but can get boring real quick. And why do you have a bow, when shooting dear seems to have no purpose. Again Exploration and making virtual club houses will only take you so far. It's good so far but had to change my opinion after ten hours. Not enough to do for the price. But still will give it a thumbs up unless the game stagnates.

I have to say that this is 1 of my top 3 VR games, the visuals are amazing and the gameplay is really fun and addictive. This game is from an Indie developer who is constantly adding new features, fixing bugs and listening to the community feedback. i recently had an issue with the game not loading for me but this was down to a corrupt save file but i was on Discord talking to the developer who was quick to respond and very very helpful. I urge anybody with a VR headset to purchase this game and support such an incredible game and developer. This will be 1 of my games that i play everyday. I wish the developer all the success in the future.

I’m very impressed with this experience. I won’t call it a game, more of an explorer/miner sandbox with some great building mechanics (if you like Lego… this will be a dream).
I’m having a wonderful time listening to streaming music and digging away into mountains. Speaking of mountains; you can totally climb them!
I’m just shy of 5 hours in, and haven’t tapped into the full potential yet, and that’s totally okay! I’m playing at my pace - exploring one minute, and mining the next, and crating new materials the next!
The visuals are some of the best I’ve experienced in made-for-VR games, topped by the king Alyx but rivaling AAA games modded into VR (gta, RDR2 etc).
I didn’t think I’d like the raytracing light with the minecraft block aesthetic but it wowed me from the start!
I have all the settings cranked other than one that said “4090” as an option and the game runs extremely well!
So far my only small gripes are it’s too dark to explore at night w/o risking falling into chasms (I like the long days and short nights option but a “always day” option or some better ambient lighting at night would help!). And some of the objects you craft are so massive and complex, it gets weird trying to move it around to attach more materials. I have no idea how to keep the diegetic interface but make it easier - I’m no dev!

CyubeVR is a nice but shallow and gimmicky Minecraft VR counterpart with little to discover and very little actual content.
The world is big but empty and exaggerated (think Minecraft with Amplified worldgen settings) which makes traversing a chore.
Overall, if your time is valuable, spend it elsewhere. This game has nothing more to offer than a bit of mining of basic resources and ... well, that's kinda it. You can build ofc, but you can build in hundreds other games, too.
- the bucket is a nice idea but even when powered up, most of the items fly past the bucket.
- animals are pointless and there's no interaction with them nor sound.
- the crafting system is an interesting idea but gets VERY tedious VERY quickly.
- most of the recipes you unlock are just random assets for decoration without actual gameplay content or purpose.
- The game requests accessing your mic and camera on app start, causing Avast alerts
- The game changes your system screen resolution to fit the game and doesn't change it back afterwards
- artstyle is OK for what it's trying to be but overall the lighting is absurd (emissive materials are much too bright, torches light up things with an absurd falloff curve where it's WAY too bright and suddenly completely dark)
- held torches light up very little area and should light the same area as a placed oneto allow for more immersive cave exploration
- You can't jump
- there's no physics interaction with objects other than the tip of your tool with a forced grip
All in all, it's a tedious, lackluster experience.
Sorry for the harsh review of the game, but in all honesty its a shallow asset flip from a hobby dev that doesn't take its own product serious (look at the settings and you'll notice).

Very cool game, very immersive and lots of fun. Gets better and better with every update!
Had this game wish listed for a long time and saw how much time the dev was continuing to put into it. Finally bought and played it and...wow... can't believe I waited this long!
This game really takes advantage of the change in experience that VR provides. Making your first furnace takes a while, with carefully placing many blocks in the right spot. But by the end you feel like you deserve to start smelting that iron!
I'm having a great time so far and already look forward to jumping back in again.

What an amazing game! A voxel building game built especially for VR. I just cant explain how awesome it feels to peer into a deep cave in this game. Just be aware its still early so doesn't have loads of content and features yet. And it's a slower paced game than non VR :)
Very peaceful. Growing up with Minecraft, I always feel the dark very unnerving, but nothing hostile spawns. The tutorial is also really helpful.
There is just no incentive to do anything. Gravity gloves and bucket need more work considering that's how you interact with the world and they fall short of what they are needed to do quite often. The crafting (and visuals if you have a decent hmd) is the only thing I found pretty cool and worth investing any time into. Though this too is hampered by the weird menu briefcase which feels funky to use and has way too much going on inside it. Overall, definitely early access and has a long way to go before it's ready.

Is it Minecraft? No not really
It plays kind of like all the best prices of Minecraft. It has the cube based building. The floaty block non physics.
But it really is just meant for vr. The way you craft is the most satisfying thing ever. Building and exploring are comfortable and easy. Using tools is just delightful (duel wielding sledgehammers that I pull out of my back holsters is probably the most badass thing ever in a game like this). Even the way you store things in chests is freaking fantastic.
In conclusion.
If you like Minecraft in peaceful mode (for now) and you like vr.

This game is good, and is better then ViveCraft (Minecraft VR mod), however it does have issues. Everything is less automated, which really does make it feel like you're in Minecraft. the tutorial is in depth (maybe too in depth) Your never lost on what to do. The game looks fantastic, and runs pretty well, however once your in a cave, the frame rate tanks, with huge lag spikes, the collision in caves is wacky, and they are hard to navigate, and even if you can get through them, they usually end abruptly. The battery crystal things is a col idea, but they don't last long enough for them to worth recharging all the time. I wish there was a way to automate crafting instead of having to manually craft 3 stacks of torches before entering a cave. Overall, this game is fun and worth the price, but is desperate need of some updates. But I look forward to seeing this game improve.
The game is super fun when it's running smoothly, which happens anywhere between 2 and 10 minutes. Then it gets super glitchy, and unplayable, or outright crashes.
Great game, certainly has a cozy feel to it. Visuals are like walking around in a Bob Ross painting.
Could use more crafting recipes and things to do, like fishing or cooking, but base game has plenty of sights to see.
Only issues I have so far are from trying to get my quest two to stay connected to my computer to run something. That and you can't take two crafted components and attach them to one another. Like a 3x3 piece grabbed in one hand wont snap to another 3x3 piece.
Its awesome.
