About the Game
You've relied on your eyes since birth, how will you survive without them?- Navigate through a thrilling hostile confinement without the use of your sight!
- Discover the mysteries of a twisted and horrifying location.
- Stealth and agility will be your weapons of choice, use them wisely.
Can YOU rise up to the challenge? You've never had to be without your eyes before...
Enjoy a new experience with this Audio only game where you must learn to use your ears to survive.

Setting
Dark Passenger starts you off in a morbid scenario of having a panic attack as your character adjusts to the fact that their eyes have been recently removed from their body. You are soon greeted by a mentally suspect man, who seems to take perverse, sadistic pleasure in your situation, yet tries to calm you down, promising to guide you to safety.
In order for you to navigate this unknown environment, you must use your ears to pin point items as well as dangerous enemies and obstacles so that you may progress. Soon, you will meet with alert guards who chase you down in escape sequences as well as encounter stealth situations, where you must make little noise and stay out of sight of patrols by using your ears to map out where enemies are going and use your cunning to create openings.
Experience new sensations as you use learn to use your ears and gradually learn how to face the challenges this presents. You will die, a lot. Enjoy.

Inquiry was the first fall, listening the second, the third a false dawn.
First of all, I wish I could have given this game a middle rating. There's a lot of potential that's not quite met. The premise of the game is good and feels unique (especially considering it has no graphics beyond the menu screen). I love the idea that the game requires the player to use and rely on a different sense besides their eyes. On the flip side, since it relies on nothing but sounds, it can create a very confusing game (I get lost enough in a regular game as it is). For the most part, the biggest frustration was not dying (especially on the very last level). The story itself was really interesting and since it relies on the player's imagination to fill in a lot of the details, it's really up to the player to visualize what may be going on.
The only bug I experienced is with level 8 as there's no way to actually beat that level (you get into an endless loop of walking when you get to the end). I had to use a depot to get around the bug, since I highly doubt that the devs will be fixing the issue as it's been known for over 5 years now.
Overall, I think I will still recommend this game but I would suggest a very very good sale. It was an interesting experience, albeit a bit confusing/frustrating at times.
4/10
Controls are just WASD. No ability to turn.
Not what I thought I was getting myself into.
Addendum:
Apparently it's top down. Was expecting FPS-style.
Definitely not what I was expecting.
Further, the voice over was so grating that on my third/final startup attempt I took my headphones off until it was done.
sure its a cool idea because the person u play as is blind. (Not saying that's good), but u use ur imagination to find stuff. However this part of which i'm about to say is my pet peve for this game. It's frustrating because there are no special hints except that the narroter doesnt really help, the doc tells u to listen to the sound of a michine to find a item well were in a hospital there's hundreds if not thousands of machines. Also i've been playing lv 1 for over an hour and still cannot progress to the next lv. so yeah thats my review.
nice game for blind gamers
Overall a neat idea and a pretty fun game, however I feel there could be more sound cues to help the player figure out where they are, rather than just bumping into walls (or enemies). There should be a button to skip dialogue in the beginning of a section, as hearing the same line over and over again can be annoying.
I feel that some of the audio suddenly changes what direction it sounds like it's coming from, which is a bit confusing. For example, when trying to avoid some enemies, it sounded like they're on the right, and if I run into them, the death sounds like its coming from a different side? Maybe it's the headphones I'm using, though, I believe the game could benefit from more polished sound effects (and more varied ones.) Like perhaps there's a puddle on the ground and the footsteps make a different sound if you step in it. Or carpet, something, anything to really distinguish a room and make it not feel like an empty corridor. The beginning room seemed great in that aspect, as you could crash into things and sort of feel like you're actually interacting with the world.
Another thing that would be nice would be if you die, say 10 or 20+ times in one level, give an option for a sound cue as a kind of hint of where to go. (or perhaps some dialgoue as to what exactly is going on) The ticking clock noise was helpful in figuring out the beginning locations, but later on I got confused and am currently stuck in a certain location, as it seems that wherever I go there's either walls or death. Will try to beat it again later.
Also I kind of want to get more information about who made the game, who the voice actors are, etc. so if there's a credits section somewhere that would be neat. (Unless it's just at the end of the game which I have yet to reach.)
A unique game with lots of potential. Worth at the very least trying out since it's so cheap, though I wouldn't be surprised if you get stuck later on in the game. It definitely takes time to adjust to which sounds are in which direction. (Could be my own fault for using earbuds but who knows.)
Found this game thanks to HarshlyCritical, pretty ok dude. (Don't watch his streams, his mods are whiny and bitch a lot.)
Anyways, the game has a good idea going, but ultimately you get mad when you bump in the wall 300 times then die and have to listen to the same cutscene over and over.
I made it to the part when you need to get past 2 guards walking around and then I just kept going up in flames... so yeah.
Try it out.
Terrible graphics, I couldn't get them to work at all. Got stuck on just a black screen.
nice
