A Robot Named Fight is a Metroidvania roguelike focused on exploration and item collection. Take on the role of a lone robot tasked with stopping the entity known as the Megabeast. Explore procedurally-generated labyrinths, uncover randomized power-ups and artifacts, find secrets, and blast meaty creatures in this deliciously gory Metroidvania.

Millennia of peace have passed since the mechanical gods ascended and left the lower order robots to cultivate the world. Unfortunately for those left behind, something forgotten and terrible stirs amidst the stars: the Megabeast, a pulsating moon-sized orb of flesh, eyes, mouths and reproductive organs – unleashing its children onto the world like an unstoppable plague.

- Explore a procedurally-generated labyrinth with more than 4 billion unique runs.
- Prove your worth with true permadeath.
- Take on over 60 menacing enemies solo or with a friend via local co-op.
- Adapt to a different item set every run with more than 80 unique items
- Complete achievements to unlock new content.
- Play using your favorite controller.
- Enjoy an unreasonable amount of meat!

The fact that a roguelike is able to bring the same satisfaction as Super Metroid in terms of the secret hunting and power progression while still having its own identity is absolutely stellar. If you haven't played this game and are a fan of OG Metroid, you owe it to yourself to at least try it.
I love this game's retro style. Strongly recommended. But beware, this game does not hold your hand: you will die, a lot, until you get good enough to beat it
It's like Binding of Isaac meets Super Metroid.
bit of a difficulty spike, but overall fun to play.
A Robot Named Fight!
Has a total of 5 trading cards.
Rubbish.
SHIT TROON GAME
Great game, love the style
its a fun game that feels a lot like a super metroid clone but while thats true, its held back with its stiff controls. sure, it may have been a choice, but when there is already a roguelike implemented in it, it just seems like a unnecessary handicap that takes enjoyment out of the game. like playing soccer with one leg on purpose, or basket ball with one arm, or chess with half the pieces. it also hindered by it being short, not having many varieties of enemies or gear, and a few things that i feel should be explained or else you just waste resources. give it a go probably on sale, but dont expect much from it. this is certainly on the cusp of what id recommend or not
stop reading reviews and buy the game
This game is a cool looking Metroid game, you don't play as a female protagonist this time like in the Metroid series or Samus Aran, you play as cool robot named Fight, what makes this Metroidvania special is that it's a Rogue based Metroidvania, one death means an restart also the map completely changes, yeah unforgiving, you also gain power ups & abilities the farther you go into the map basically the Metroid series, depending on the enemies you face & bosses & what to do on the map, the area will give you different abilities & power up items, whatever comes up ahead in areas, thought this game is a cool Metroidvania rogue based game, I have to say, please don't get hit too much & remember to conserve your energy at all times, when I say that, dont die as it can be so unforgiving as the map completely changes everytime you do, to regain health keep defeating enemies, like these parasital worms in the game & all these other type of creatures you will find & explore. I thought this Robot Named Fight video game was unique as a Rogue game, by the way this game is also on the Nintendo Switch. Recommended if you like Metroidvanias also has an challenge spike of a Rogue to it depending if you are interested or planning to get it, The game's soundtrack can get stuck in my head sometimes as well. Very addicting too, It's a recommendation for me. Hopefully more Metroidvania Rogue games like Robot Named Fight, it sometimes reminds me of Dead Cells as some similarity.
Blast the hell out of meat as a sick ass robot what more could you want
If you can get past the controls taken straight from Super Metroid (which didn't age gracefully), I think you'll find a fun game that blends roguelike and metroidvania rather well
Fun mix of metroidvania and roguelike. short n sweet
roguelike metroid, 11/10
The first time I played "A Robot Named Fight" was on the Nintendo Switch. Got it on sale for $0.99 and it was well worth it. A Metroidvania with procedural generation of maps each time you die. The rooms themselves are fixed though, so that runs will always be possible. There are many weapons and items to collect to help you fight off the fleshy invaders with items unlocking as you play through the game. Teleporters and Revenant stations are pretty neat too. If you die, you can spawn one time back at a Revenant station foe s second chance. In the end 5/5 stars from me.
This is what happens when Super Metroid and Megaman X have a robot baby in the Contra universe.
