Range Day VR features several authentic firearm models as we have obtained permission from the manufactures for use in game. We also have plenty of other fantasy and facsimile modern firearms to expand your sandbox destruction as well.
More than one is always more fun. While Range Day VR will initially launch as a single player game to begin with it has always been our intention from the beginning of the games design to implement cross platform multiplayer experiences. Please note while in early access we will be updating the game to implement cross platform game-play between HTC Vive and Oculus players.
This game will be constantly evolving, adding new guns, ranges, and new features frequently that may cause technical issues or bugs, especially while we implement cross platform multiplayer support. With all that said we hope you enjoy our small slice of VR fun and come along for the ride. We also encourage our players to check out other competing VR gun simulators as they are also quite good and we think there is room for more than one for players to enjoy!
Game Features:
- Roomscale VR Experience designed for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
- Multiple indoor and outdoor ranges in various day and night settings.
- Timed challenges with player leader boards.
- More than 40 weapons to shoot. More added frequently.
- Planned multiplayer gaming challenges in future updates.

Another scumbag developer who took my money and ran off to make the game for the quest.
ABANDONED - DO NOT BUY
Unique game. Well optimized and worth it. Perfectly working for Oculus Quest ( Meta Quest latest version). Have different environments and a huge range of weapons. Weapons can be updated and customized. That is a plus point in this game. The game is challenging. No lagging and heating. For many games Oculus headset heats a lot. But this game is smooth. Reloading, picking, and other animations are nice. Guns have scopes and players can aim through those. In many shooting games that feature was not there. Difficulty levels and challenges are awesome. Terrains look so good. Extremely suitable for time passing because it will never get boring. Brings nostalgic feelings about the Beach-Head game. Audio and sounds are also highly realistic and feel like shooting in an actual gun range. Hope developers will continue this series and add more challenges. Again a cool game.
This game is terrible. it seems that some of the guns aren't complete and I had a hard time grabbing the gun with the valve index controllers. There is a gun in the loading screen and the map pictures that you cant even uses. There are plenty of better games to play that give the same feeling. Just to list a couple: Pavlov and Hotdog, horseshoes and hand grenades and I am sure there are plently more out there. I refunded the game so quick as it doesn't hold the weight of what I was expecting
I like it, but the hand models are real bad. my suggestion is just remove them entirely until you rework'em(if you care to, obv you don't gotta) other than that, it's functional and fine.
I do not recommend this game. Believe me. Weapon interaction is bad. And this is the most important thing in the game. Poor management , bugs and more...It's very raw and unfinished. Better buy Gun Club or Hot Dogs. I wished I bought a Range Day. Not buy.
to many bugs, still fun but needs to get fixed!
Garbage game. Gun sounds are garbage, half the maps don't work properly, the menus themselves are a pain in the arse. The only good thing I can say about it is I can still return it and get my money back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME!!
What I type in this review is my experiance with the game, everyone will experiance things differently. I also do not care if a game is in early acess or full game, no game is protected from critizum. So now onto the review for Range Day VR.
Range Day VR is a gun range game where you can go & shoot guns. The game has different veriaty of gun ranges to choose & four mini games to play.
The graphics are nice but its only 7/10 graphics because every gun has a graphic issue with them like you can see little spots through the gun or the inside of the gun if you look through the bullet ejection is completly empty, like nothing added. This is poor graphic & I have seen better in other gun range games.
The gun sounds are not the greatest heck even some are resued for other guns like the M9 pistol sound is reused in a few assault & sub guns. This is very poor sound design.
Kick back on weapons are unrealistic actually double gripping doesn't do anything for the kick back. The guns may seem to have kick back but if you keep shooting the kick back doesn't cause the gun to go frantic.
ADS (Aim Down Scope) is completly usless since ADS the scope shakes way to much when you double grip.
There is no physics in this game, nothing at all in this game. I can put a gun through the table with no repurcution at all.
Tri pods do absolutly nothing to improve aim since the tri pod physics will go throught the table.
The 6 shooters will cut the sound out if you try to shot an empty bullet right after you shoot a live bullet.
Your hands will sometimes not grip the gun properly.
Range Day VR gets a 1/10 score making this a crap game. The lack physics is what kills the game for me mainly. I have seen early access game have more physics then this game. I wouldn't recommend this to any one at the state it's in.
That's the Pony review.
I do not usually take time to write reviews but felt like I needed to for this game. This game has a lot of glitches and bugs as its still early access but don’t pay much attention to the early reviews It seems to have come a long way in fixing issues from what was complained about in those first reviews. I am writing this as a real world shooter who loves guns so my point of view may not be the average gammer. With that said the game is extremely fun even with existing glitches if you like gun simulators. The only game in fact that does gun simulation better is H3 but is in a different atmosphere than RDVR which really reminds me of my local shooting range. Is this game better than H3? NO, there are a several glitches and bugs that need work but none that are game breaking or in truth ruin my enjoyment of the game. Most of the guns are very authentic to the real world ones and the game is great fun and has lots of potential and promise for future updates. The bottom line folks if you like guns you should own this one and H3 for VR.
I can't say this game is at a great point, just yet. The controls are buggy, some magazines on guns wouldn't insert. It took a few seconds to understand how to even put a magazine in a gun. On a couple rifles, it was held backwards. I kept the gun menu open behind me and it disappeared after i triggered a bug. Guns started to appear in the stall next to me at one time. The list is good though, there's a fair amount of variety in the pistols at least for all the kinds that exist. Would love to see more rifles of all kinds, calibers, historical, etc. The potential is good though, and I want to be nice because it is early access.
Perfect for shooting a few targets.
This game has been a lot of fun, and I'll continue to put more time into it. I've enjoyed being able to go and fire some rounds down range whenever I feel like it.
- The outdoor ranges are fun for target practice, and there are a lot of interactive targets.
- The interactive targets work well, and react when shot properly.
- For being an early access game, there are a ton of different types of rifles, pistols, and shotguns to shoot, with more coming every few patches.
- There are a ton of paper targets to choose from on the indoor range
- Beta features / items can be toggled on and off if you don't like them until they are put into the game permanently.
For an early access game, I was expecting some bugs, and there are a few. But, unlike a lot of early access games, the developers are very responsive and are listening to the players..
I'm expecting this game to only get better then more time the developers put into it!
Back to the range...
This game is pretty good if you like messing with guns
Love the game. I have noticed a bug when standing near the jukebox. Sometimes it will show the available stations and sometimes it wont. And sometimes it wont let me reset the taget. It doesn't detect my finger .Also i love the radio stations. Please add more.
EDIT (August 14, 2017): At this time, I have made contact with the developer who is working on some of the issues I have with the game. I understand that this game is not intended to be anything like Onward, but my point from below was simply that a game that has nothing to do with the range had more range immersion than the range game itself.
(Original) In its current state, I would recommend you pick up Onward. Onward has a large arsenal of CUSTOMIZABLE weapons. It also includes multiplayer in its current state. The guns in RD VR dont feel as real as they do in Onward. I'm not saying this game can't be made into a better product, but its going to take some work. In my limited time playing, because I switched to Onward to be better entertained, I already noticed the second hand doesnt naturally grab the gun like you would in real life. Nothing feels natural and for that, I don't suggest this game, but rather suggest Onward.
This game feels like a very poor and low quality rip-off of the other VR Gun Simulator HotDogs, Horseshoes,
and Hand Grenades. It feels fery buggy, slow, and clunky compared to it. This game does have potential, but as of now, it is nowhere near where it could be, not worth the $19.99 price tag. As of now, I recommend the other VR Gun Simulator.
Already off to a good start! Definately has ALOT of potential.
There are a few bugs, and these have all been addressed, I have personally spoken with the Developers and let them know of everything I've noticed, these should hopefully be ironed out in a couple days.
The game IS playable and works well.
Deffinately recommended, there's even a 10% discount!
They dropped the ball on this game. It came out of the gate better than H3VR. Looks better too. After years of waiting the updates never game and the game has fallen way behind.
Now they are working on an Oculus Quest version which is ridiculous because the PC version is full of bugs and unfinished.
Yes.....if alot of fixes occur.
1: Recoil appears to be missing.
2: When holding the ar15 and firing through iron sights the bullets actually hit several meteres up and left ...at a target range of 7 feet!
3: Randomly taking you back to main menu
4: Safetys that should be thumb operated having to use your other hand instead of recognising the thumb position sensor on the oculus.
5: Muzzle flashes appear to be made of coloured paper card.
6: Weapon noises feeling tiny and odd.
7: When choosing a weapon it should appear in your hand or on the table...not spawn and drop to the floor.
8: No ingame ability to reset location of the Headset (that I could find anyway)
If these fixes occur it may be worth buying......right now?...No, not with these issues even at this 10% off price.
im torn right now i really am on one side theres a game that has so much potential has the feeling of being in an acutal range and has a good amount of guns but on the other side theres a game that is pretty buggy from the shotguns not being able to be held right with 2 hands to just the akwardness of trying to reload a glock. In it current state i can not recommend this esspecially if its trying to go up against H3VR i say wait for a sale if you want to see it for yourself or just wait until it gets updated substantially
