Save Our Souls is a story driven third person action packed shooter game that takes place in a post apocalyptic future (2083) torn apart by demons and ruled by many warring factions. It Stars 3 female childhood friends who must once again band together and set out on a journey to stop the end of the world. The game will feature fast paced action packed game play in a variety of environments, and the player must gun down enemies using the 3 heroines, each with their own unique abilities. All the while being immersed in an Epic and cinematic story.

This is a weirdly bad game, even by low-budget indie standards. The environment is unfinished, the character models are unfinished, the animation is unfinished, the sound effects are stock sounds, what little story is there makes no sense, the voice acting sounds like it was done over cheap PC headsets...Literally nothing about this game is actually finished. This the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time.
Plays like a asset flip that Jim Sterling should be playing. I tried to play Episode 0, no indication of how much ammo I had and I couldn't even tell when I was taking damage, first time I died I had no idea anyone had hit me. Episode 1 I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing or why, and quit a few minutes into it.
It feels very very generic, poor plot, I suppose they planned to develop the plot in the other episodes but looks like these will never come.
The only good thing is that the characters are well modelled.
Be nice if I can actually play it on my 6 core pc.
There is something called "expected indie jank" in games which denotes reasonable expectations to budget titles.
Then there's this.
Bugs and glitches all over the place, constantly threatening to tear apart the low-quality assets.
Broken animations, broken cutscenes, death glitches and a nonsensical ammo counter that reads "infinite" for one weapon and not the other when they both function exactly the same.
"Jessie" sounds like you literally recorded her voice through an old, cheap phone.
The list goes on and on and is, quite frankly, endless.
This "game" isn't even fit for Early Access. It's barely a pre-alpha build - and you called it "finished".
That's a disgrace.
Though the game had a rough start it seems to be better.
The graphics are nice, music fits and the story is very interesting and could be cooler if told over more episodes also the dev has worked on it for some time so I hope he kepts the faith and works on more content..
this game is crap dont be fulled by how fun it looks you never be able to play it just got the game and there is nothing to teach you how to play it if you go in to story mode of the game every single monster runs strate for you so you will live about as long as it take for you to uninstall the game witch is about 5 sec

Dec. 26 Update: Nope. Still not ready. Marginally less janky than before, but still nigh-unplayable beyond the first two chapters. An early alpha at best.

Original Review: Animation work, audio mixing, smoother transitions, optimization, quality assurance; Save Our Souls needs all of the above and then some.
... but damn it if the cyberpunk scenery/setting isn't notable, and twice as impressive coming from one person with lofty goals.
There's potential here; it just has to be found.
This game is pure fun... love it.. it does have issues tho.. needs polishing/refining and bugs everywhere..and should come with a serious hardware warning...a 1050ti is enough but barely for the avid gamer. Hope the creators/owners of this gem keep it up!
I have to say the idea of the game is pretty good, however, the gaming experience is not so good.
Pro:
1. Nice graphics, i like the modeling of main characters, the scenes in the game is pretty good. a super scientific and modern.
2. Good plot, the story line is clear.
3. easy controling, every friendly to people who use keyboard and controler.
Coms:
1. the animation is very very confusing and inrealistic. there is dodge movement but they don't provide jump ability. the CG is ok, but as i said, the animation is very not natrual.
2. The voice, the voice between characters are dim, not energetic at all.
3. The mode, we need multi player mode instead of undeveloped story mode and alpha version.
4, you guys really need to improve the gaming performance, the fps is very low when rushing. and the aiming system fo r the gun is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In total, it is a very promising game, if the developer can pay more attention to those problems, i will definite recommand my friends to buy it.
I will give a ok for this game but not good now, i will continue to wait their future improvements.

I seem to be one of the few thats updating the review after the recent patch. I suggest that some of the reviews (both positive and negative) need updating.
My playtime isnt that high, however as you can see from my original review, I found the game to be fun above all else.
I stand by the original review (below), however would like to point out that, on my system at least, optimization and loading times have again been greatly reduced. At the price its currently at you cant really go wrong, I just wish I had time to play it fully at the moment. Will update again when I have.
Original Review
Lets start with the elephant in the room, the negative reviews. They were justified on the dates they were written, when they mention long load times and bugs however some of these reviews may need to be looked at again as the developer has now released an update which fixes the load times and many of the bugs that have been mentioned (certainly on my set up which is mid range - may depend on individual setup but still).
I've not played much due to it crashing on me before the latest update, but since the update I've discovered a game with a good story and some really good ideas. It still has bugs, such as people weirdly disappearing and the odd screen tear, but nothing game breaking anymore. Its a good solid framework for what could be a really good game (developer has said now many bugs are fixed more content will be coming). Dont go into this expect a game with the same level of detail and design as some of the big companies. Go into this knowing its a one man labour of love and what you will find is an enjoyable romp that has more content coming.
Are there bits I'd change? Yes course, voice acting needs tweaking in my opinion BUT that is MY opinion, nothing more.
Give it a go, for the price its at there really is now nothing stopping you.
There lot of potential in this game, despite so many bad reviews I still wanted to check it and I love the gameplay, story. But it's still with lot of bugs and problems, LOTS OF LOTS OF BUG. You can still enjoy the gameplay and story.
However, game is still in early stage, lots of space for improvement on story, gameplay is just fine. Instead of demon, why not cloverfield creature? That will be so awesome, fun and scary. Instead of demon invasion a mysterious sci fi alien creatures. That will be something. You don't need some high price game engine to develop such game, it will be just amazing if story is amazing. You need story right. I hope you change those demon into cloverfield alien.
As for gameplay, you can fix bug in future, currently limited but still enjoying the gameplay. I urge everyone who is looking at this game trailer to support the developers and game.

I get excited by buggy game as well, as long as the story and gameplay is amazing, lots of bugs doesn't bother me so I am giving this positive o(^▽^)o
It's hard to really judge as the effort this one guy has put into the game is very admirable, but between the excrutiatingly long wait between loading screens and getting thrown into a battle without any sort of warning or help really puts me off this. I'm not sure whether it's my operating system causing such a long wait but it makes dying in game hellish. Because you don't just load back up and start again, you have to wait 10 minutes to get another go at it, I wouldn't mind learning the game if it was faster to put me back where I was but I don't have the time to sit and wait so long to just get killed again 30 seconds later. This games visuals are very good and the story seems to have potential, but I haven't even been able to get that far yet. A shame. I hope these things get fixed because I really would like to be able to play it sometime.
Lots of potential, story and idea wise. However, the quality is way too bad and the game is not what I would consider as 'ready', I went in expecting that but still was dissapointed. I'd say give it some time to fix itself up and maybe when the price gets lowered depending on individual for the latter. I don't know how the pricing in relation to the episodes work but this game really isn't worth anything more than 20 bucks as of now.
That said, I do look forward to its 'completion' and am ready to get back to it when that time comes. Sadly, not at its current state. If this was a triple A game it might just be one of my all time favourites. Kudos to the Creator of this game, gifted. Hopefully the team isn't half-hearted about this. Unfortunate for the resources side.
Edit: I apologise for the misunderstanding. It costs 15 bucks but what I was referring to earlier was that if the other two remaining episodes have individual cost themselves then the game won't be worth it, since this is only for episode one. However, again from what I have mentioned earlier, I don't know how the pricing in relation to the episodes work.
