Close your eyes, put your VR headset on, and you’ll become a shipwrecked man, on a tropical island in the middle of Pacific Ocean.
First of all, you have to survive.
That’s because your hunger and thirst will make you suffer, like in real life.
So you have to understand how to satisfy your primal needs, interacting with animals or plants that you will find on the island.
Of course you will need to craft some tools, using rocks, wood, plants, and start a fire to cook or to have light during the night.
But, if surviving is your first objective, the second one is to escape the island. To achieve to runaway, you’ll have to build a raft and face the Ocean’s waves.
Can you handle it?

A neat concept of a survival type game in VR but its very limited what you can do in this game. There don't seem to have been any updates in quite some time, so I expect this is the way the game will remain. Everything shown in the trailers is basically everything in the game. There is nowhere to explore nor anything further to learn aside from a crafting recipes book you can find that is very difficult to open. Still, I recommend it on a sale because you can have some sort of entertainment value out of it.
its boring and its short and its realy glichy
its a bit bland but you get what you pay for
I bought this on sale and I'm still returning it. No update since 2018.
You can't even save your game.
Worth the price. Has its issues, but its still fun. I recommend buying the game if you liked the movie "Castaway".
Great game and i cant wait for more. ty
my friend loves it!
This game is basiclly a virus that breaks your VR setup.
Crashes on start HMD turns totally off.
Upon reboot, my floor hight was over my head. Now it is just a grey room and none of my buttons work. I will have to reinstall steamVR and run my rom setup all over again. Thanks alot,.
Finally got this gabage to work. The graphics are muddy, blurry and total trash. The Voice in the game speaks HORRIBLE english. Sounds like a french guy with a mouth full of rocks. The floor hight is all the way to my neck and cant be adjusted with OpenVR. The in game stterings to adjust hight do not work. Teleport only, you can't walk around like a normal human. You can't even get close to the plants that it forces you to interact with, thus making the game come to a full stop before you even play it.
0/10. Don't waste your money on this wannabe VR Minecraft ripoff.
Vive, Titan V gpu, 64g ram, i7 core, water cooled. (That means the problem is the game, not my rig)
WTB Frames. Cant seem to find any on this game XD
laggs! i have oculus rift cv2.. 7700hq and 1070 gtx how is this lagging? help please
Well, Enjoyed the game, noticed all the neg. comments come from users who are suppose to be into crafting/survival type games. I thought the game is well put together and is on the right track, the crafting and mechanics of the game are no different than any other non vr survival game (minus the crafting menu), The graphics are great, the game play is fun. Only thing i didnt like about the game, is it isn't long enough, I was blasting flares, and doing everything i could to get my raft off the island LOL, oh and i found me a "WILSON" HAHHAHA. Love the game, hoping they add alot more to it. This the exact kinda games i want my for my VR gameplay (only more indepth).
So I saw this and it reminded me of that other game where you are trapped on an island and must survive, but only in VR. Great idea and I love it.
However... The FPS is jumping around a lot which really hurts the eyes, makes you have motion sickness, and isn't great for the experience the game is trying to give you. Not only that but it is unclear how to make items. I spend 4 minutes trying to figure out how to make a axe. Then you have the character talking to you (himself) about how he needs to do something/what he needs before he does something. At first it was helpful but after 10 minutes it gets old after the 4th time of him explaining how to get rope.
Really if they fixed the FPS and make it where he just says something once or twice then it would be a okay game. As it is, not really worth the try.
**My review was positive but until the developer comes back I can't give it a good review anymore**
This game is a bloody good start to a brilliant game! If your sick of horrors and just want a game with nothing to worry about except your food and water then it's great! Their Roadmap seems to be the start of a great game!
Stranded Deep + VR = Lost In The Ocean!
So longs as they keep working on it, I will happily tell my friends to try it. Needs crafting and a BUNCH of other things but once that starts, it'll be great! Good work Devs!

Graphics are a little fuzzy, still, Im sure that will clear up. Fire is too big, as someone else mentioned, its easy to burn yourself. I still havent gotten the raft in the water, but i think that is because when u set an object down, it rolls into the ocean, very slowly. if you could fix the issue of my rocks rolling off the island so i dont die of dehydration, that'd be cool :) otherwise, I am Very glad to see a game like this, and look forward to more updates :) I run a store in kamloops, BC, and have been looking for family friendly content, and this fits the bill perfectly. oh, and just hopeful thinking...i think a shark would make this feel more...visceral? Love the work, keep it up!
Here's my first time gameplay video: https://youtu.be/zzUqw5oZkZg
I also review other VR games on my channel: www.youtube.com/c/thefishstick
The graphics are decent; thats about it. The most fun I had was trying to beat a crab to death with the paddle I found (which didn't work by the way).
How I spent 20 minutes on this game is beyond me; most of it was spent running around in circles on the island swinging my paddle around at various things hoping I'd accidentally make some sort of progress. This is a prime example of a game someone is asking money for that should just be a free demo in its current state.I see no reason how someone could ask for money for this game.
I like survival games so this one intrigued me especially since it was in VR (which I think is a great idea!); it did look a bit fun but at the same time I had serious doubts about it. It definetely did not look worth the price being asked which is the reason I actually ended up paying money for it in order to put out a review warning people not to waste their time. Over time I've gotten increasingly annoyed with people realsing these types of games and asking WAY to much money for them.
It was difficult to figure out anything beyond the obvious which for me was building a fire to boil water that I collected in the bucket. I was eventually able to figure out how to get rope when I accidently started wacking a plant with the paddle and rope started popping out. I saw the rope automatically would started coming together in a raft shape when i put it in the designated "raft building spot" so I managed to gather enough till the narrator said ok thats enough rope. I obviously needed wood and the wood I used for the fire wasn't good enough. With the limited amount of interactive items on the island I was suprised I wasn't able to find some sort of way to make it happen, hoping something would just pop into place on accident. I gave the game several attempts but lost interst pretty quick.
I hate being negative toward teh VR Devs and like to support them but this game is not worth the price being asked.
Nice game, i'm really enjoying it. UPVOTED!!!
Very funny game!
I love staying on this island, I could stay here for hours just staring at the sea waiting for the sunset!
Very solid game concept. I played a lot to Stranded Deep and always wanted to try this kind of game in Virtual Reality. Of course like the most of the VR games, also this one is still really basic, but if dev team keep it updated with new patch it can become a trend. A couple of things to fix:
- the movements of the oars on the raft seems not so natural
- the no teleport zone near fire and raft is to big
Anyway I really suggest the game, developers have done really good work with it. Keep working on!
Really interesting VR experience. The game is a mix between a survival game and an escape room. I really appreciate the graphic of the game (usually VR experience don't reach this level) the lights, and the colors. I spent 10 minutes just laying on the sand looking the sunset.
I hope there's in plan to implement the game soon because I'd love to explore more islands.
I only had to play this game for 30 minutes to know that this is the worst VR game I've ever played.
Right off the bat, it just throws you onto a tiny island telling you only how to pick things up, show your stats, and move around. It only tells you what you're supposed to do when you're 2 feet away from where you're supposed to do it, and even then, it doesn't even tell you how to do it.
Also, what is up with the physics in this game? whacking herbs with a paddle makes ropes come out, rocks and sticks are made of styrofoam, and water just defies all logic.
This game is barely complete enough to be considered early access let alone a full game. Don't purchase this game in its current state.
