The Witches' Tea Party is a nice adventure game with some cutes designs and a relaxing ambiant. With his low price, I recommend it!!! 💗💗💗

This game isn't really my type of thing but it is decent there is actually a decent amount of content. It has multiple side quest/collectables/ending and more. There is some puzzle solving and mysteries to solve along the way. I would rate it a good 4/10 Tea Bags c[_]

this game is the fricken cutest omg. It has such sad compelling stories with wonderful colors and character designs im so completely drawn to every one of them. I highly recommend this game to other rpg lovers.

Now that the achievements work again I finally completed this sweet 'n spicy game although it did take longer than usual due to my occasional mistakes (puzzle pieces, it were the puzzle pieces).
First of all I highly recommend this game, which excels in story, art and gameplay!
It's well worth the price with it's interesting world building and fine mix of cute and dark be it in themes, looks or atmosphere. The music and soundeffects elevate the atmosphere wonderfully.
The gameplay not only has exploration, regular puzzle solving and collectables, but also small timed parts in sidequests. Though most prominently you basically play a self-proclaimed detective, thus you have to piece together information you gathered through investigation to solve the mysteries alongside the story.
The pixel art is adorable and the CGs have a nice watercolour/sketch aesthetic.
If you want to 100% this game without frustration, I do suggest using a guide. (And not making clumsy mistakes like I did.)
Halloween is of course the ideal time to play a game like this, but really any season works just as well.

This game was great! The first chapter really sucked me into the story and every other chapter kept surprising me :) Fun and interesting gameplay and more ways to die further into the story. If you thought this game looks too cute or girly, think again! It's full of murder mystery plot. And if you love magic and witches, I would recommend this ^^

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this game. Once again, I wish Steam would make a neutral option for reviews. Since they don't, I guess I'll go with a positive review simply because I can tell a lot of work was put into the game.

Complaints

• The story is shallow and really fragmented. A lot of it doesn't make sense because there's information missing. I checked, I didn't miss anything in the story; it's just that poorly told. It's less of a story and more like a bunch of witchy ideas in a trench coat.
  
• The characters are really one-dimensional. One personality trait seems to define them completely.
  
• It's a group of white witches with one token tan character. Geeze, you couldn't do a few more shades darker? With names like Charlotte, Evangeline, Andrea, and Marilyn, this game couldn't get much whiter. Do you know how many non-white cultures have witch folklore? The white European or Salem American witch stories are so damn overdone and far less interesting.
  
• The crafting option is used, like, twice the whole game.
  
• Cooking is mostly pointless busy work to make the game seem to have more content.
  

• It's one of the more detailed games of RPG Maker. I can just imagine the ridiculous amount of hours that was put into making it look so well.
  
• The art style is cute.
  
• Extras has an epilogue, along with a way to check your collections and CG gallery.
  
[*] Several well-made puzzles to figure out. Though I'm not much of a puzzle fan, these were tolerable.

Sweet Little Game for Every Witch Fan

I love this game! evenn though i'm finding one of the pars in chapter 3 quite hard to outrun XP
Either way- the music and graphics are beatiful and the charachters all have such depth to them which is great!
Can't wait to see more games by these developers in the future ^^

This game is so charming in a lot of ways. The most part I loved about it is obviously the characters. Their appearances, personalities and backstories made me want to get involved with them more. And also want to learn more about every characters. The story is quite engaging as well. It blended the cutesy, horror, sadness, excitement and a lot more elements greatly. The art is super cute and detailed. The puzzles can be hard sometimes but overall they are simple and enjoyable.

Really recommended this to those who love casual yet engaging story and attractive characters with mostly simple gameplays.

*Artbook DLC is also being recommended if you want to learn more about things! It packed with a lot of detailed contents and great arts.

What a lovely experience, as sweet as candy! The horror elements are very mild so it can be enjoyed by the whole family; it's more of a mystery/adventure. The game has a lovely pastel tone to it with fantasy overtones from Wonderland which pair perfectly with the soundtrack. The game has style and substance; pretty on the outside but there's a real story inside and true depth and devlopment to the characters. You can tell every bit of it was constructed with the utmost care; a true labor of love! The cast of witches are all interesting and different in design and personality, the dialogue is well written: full of humor and heart. The puzzles, secrets, collectables and side-quests sprinkled throughout will keep you busy for hours and serve for plenty of replay value. I absolutely adored the Cooking mechanic within the game as well. I've enjoyed this and Trick n' Treat so much that I cannot wait to see what comes next from this developer!

The Witches' Tea Party is an amazing prequel hell you could say it’s even better than the first game. But let’s start of this the story.

You play as a young witch named Charlotte going to her first witches Tea Party with her grandmom Marilyn. When they get there all seams okay, but soon it goes awry among the other witches at the party. So it’s up to Charlotte to find out why and to make friends with the other witches.

Now in every way this is a great prequel, we find out more world, about Charlotte. About her grandmom Marilyn. We get more endings and some fun mine games like cooking, or doing side quests.

And we get a bit of sad and heartwarming moments too. Now what I liked most about the game is the characters. I find them interesting, like Andrea and Renee, I won’t tell you why because of spoilers but I hope to see a game about these two.

The music was good and I liked the art you get after you die or get a bad ending or a cutscenes. And I loved that this game is longer than the first game.
Now this game does have one or two bugs like a slowdown/lag and it kind of crashed one and two times for me but that all the problems I had.

So all in all The Witches' Tea Party is an amazing prequel to the first game that was already vary good too. This game gives us more about the world and its characters, why’ll this game is not that scary it still is party spooky.

So I say get this game and its ost and art book, and I look forward to the next game by Rabbiton and StarAura.

A very cute sandbox mystery rpg game, perfect for everyone who loves puzzles, tea & witches. But be warned, not everything in this game is magically happy, there are also cursed tragic and sadness lurking around. The question is, do you have a witches´guts to uncover the whole truth?

I was really hyped for the game and instantly bought it as soon as it launched on steam.

I adored Trick&Treat and had even higher expectations for this game. And I did really like it, but still..I'm somewhat disappointed. It was over so, so soon. I was very sad when I finished the story after "only" 4 hours of playing.

I still love it and am going to get it to 100%, because it is cute, the characters are lovely and the puzzles are clever. It's even somewhat challenging at times and there's always something to explore or find (recipes and various sidequests).

If you've played Trick & Treat, this isn't as much like it as you might think. But if you liked it, this is better. Lost are the Mad Father influences-- the horror elements, by and large, and the approach to the puzzles-- which would be a bad game if this wasn't generally strong in its own right. The focus is more on the story this time, so puzzles are much simpler, there's more side elements and a little more player agency, and although the game is referenced as having "disturbing rooms," they're not actually disturbing and only happen once or twice in very minor parts anyway. If you look at this and want a cute game with no bait and switch, that's almost exactly what you're getting.

The story's not anything incredible, but it's compelling enough to carry the game. It's only a few hours long, but at the dollar something price point in the last sale, you're definitely getting your money's worth. If you think of it compared to an actual RPG Maker RPG with combat, you're essentially getting something like that but with all the combat cut out, so there's no real bloat added to the time.

Do you want a fun, satisfying little game? Get this. If you're looking for horror or anything like it, look elsewhere.

Wow so just finished the game and i have to say i loved it to death. The story was so well mad eand it felt like a old rpg combined with a puzzle detective game. I first learned about this while looking through the horror games area of steam and found trick or treat and since it was free i decided to get it. I loved that game and when i heard they were making a prequel i was happy but after a while it hadn't come out so i thought it was a lost casue so when it finally came out and was on sale i took the opprituniy. I reccomend this to anyone and everyone out there who love games with great story, gameplay, and jokes. 10/10 made me hurt inside at the end of chapter 3 but was still great and a great prequel to ToT. (And hey developers if you do decide to make a part 3 that takes place after ToT notify me i don't want to miss out(also maybe i could get it for free?!?))

I downloaded "Trick & Treat" along with a bunch of other spooky-themed games during the Steam Halloween sale. I thought it was a cute little gem of a game and that would be that. I then, however, discovered there was a prequel called "The Witches' Tea Party." I initially wasn't sure there was enough content in "Trick & Treat" to warrant a prequel, but I was interested. So I bought it on sale, fired it up, and wow was I ever wrong! This prequel is astounding considering how simple (yet still enjoyable) "Trick & Treat" was. There's so much more depth and story-telling to "The Witches' Tea Party" than I ever imagined. The devs really stepped up their game and it certainly shows. Granted, it's not the most amazing story or game I've ever played through, but if you like a good RPG and enjoy the quirky/cute/creepy style RPGMaker games offer, you won't be disappointed with this one. The artwork is pleasing, the graphics are charming, the music is suitable, and the characters provide several entertaining twists and turns as you play through their stories. The only issues I had with it were minor--a few grammatical errors, bit of lag here and there, and (imo) a needlessly long and kind of tricky snow forest maze puzzle capping off the True Ending --otherwise, I would definitely recommend this game. It's a fun time and certainly worth the price!

Worth the price.

I'd definitely recommend this game to people who are found of mysteries, witches and pretty games! The characters are adorable and well-defined and the puzzles are clever and original.

While entirely different from Trick & Treat, I was happy to find out more about Charlotte and Marilyn as well as the world they are part of. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much the dev(s) has grown since their first game. A few typos here and there, but nothing big enough to create a linguistic barrer.
