Good game.
All in all, this is a good game. I liked how your could slow down time, very helpful while reinforcing your base. (asteroid?)
Although, I wish you could speed up time. Waiting for the next wave to start inching it's way along is kinda boring.
I recommend this game. 9/10
i want say i like this game and ty for it ♥
I will leave the cat here, so that everybody who passes by can pet it and give it a thumbs up and awards.
Warning: Asset Flip!
Planetoid is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Conglomerate 5/GameWriterStudio/Big Black Bear (watch those shell accounts fly around!!!), took the Tower Defense Toolkit 4 Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, SongGameDev, rearranged them so the towers are the enemy, slapped a few other store assets around to make an inverse tower defense game where you put primitive untextured blocks in front of some guys as they move through the defense towers. The vast majority of the game is the TDTK-4 asset pack, from the game mechanics all the way to the tower models.
They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work.
It gets worse... "Tower Defense Toolkit 4" has also been shamelessly dumped on Steam by other asset flippers apart from Conglomerate 5/GameWriterStudio:
[*] "Resistance TD", asset flipped by Albatross Idea
Take a look for yourself... it's exactly the same game asset!
Conglomerate 5/GameWriterStudio has a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. One example of Conglomerate 5/GameWriterStudio doing this is Factory Pirates, which is really the "Polygon Pirates Low Poly 3D asset pack" asset, written by the actual developers, Synty Games.
Because this is an almost exact 1:1 copy + paste of the original Unity assets, regardless of how they were rearranged, it's in violation of the Unity Asset Store Terms of Service and EULA. Specifically, Section 2, Subsection 2.2.1a:
Subject to the restrictions set forth in this EULA, Licensor hereby grants to the END-USER a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, and perpetual license to the Asset solely:(a) to incorporate the Asset, together with substantial, original content not obtained through the Unity Asset Store, into an electronic application or digital media that has a purpose, features, and functions beyond the display, performance, distribution, or use of Assets ("Licensed Product") as an embedded component of that Licensed Product, such that the Asset does not comprise a substantial portion of the Licensed Product
Because the developer misused the asset pack such that it comprises the vast majority of this "game", the developer has unethically and deliberately breached the license agreement. Worse, this intellectual property violation was done in an attempt to profit from their illicit actions. Why is this permitted on Steam?
The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Tower Defense Toolkit 4" is just a demo pack to teach people how to build a 3D tower defense game using Unity, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so this copy+paste of it can't be recommended.
Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off.
Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers.
Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Conglomerate 5/GameWriterStudio.
Just nope
Planetoid 1/10
Heisen
It would be more than fair to claim all games in one way or another are physics based.

Dull and duller.
Watching paint dry is more fun than this.
It has Trading Cards.
This game is horrible. I put stuff down and it all falls away and flies off into the endless vacuum of space. If you just want to watch all of your builds fly away into some bad graphics then buy this game. I only got to write this review after I was done puking my guts out on the floor because it was so bad.
This game has been falsely labelled as being like Fragile alliance or K421 or whatever the other game was. It has little to do with that. Actually its a defensive survival game. Not a very good one too.
k it would be this kinda game
P.S do not buy
terrible and a waste of money
this is not playable.
Nice game for little money.
I really was shocked after playing it, that it wasn't early access. Everything about this game screams early accesss. Maybe it is, and just isn't listed though, who knows. Well here is the review of it being fully released anyhow, as that is what it is listed as. . .
Some game developers can go for years without coming up with a game design half as good as Planetoid. This game is a wonderful example of a great idea, implimented horribly. The game is ultra clunky, and I mean ULTRA CLUNKY. You have very little knowledge on whether pieces will stay together or fly apart instantly. The pieces being red or green before cliciking to place gives literally no indication. The enemies and turrets are horribly balanced and come at you far too quickly with no sense of wtf is going on.
There is no tutorial, which this game sorely needs as well. Another issue is the game modes. You have levels 1 through 5 and survival. That being said, it is fine to have only that, but it really needs to have some information on what the difference is between these levels, and survival game modes, but I don't really have a problem with the number as is.
This game is priced way too low in my opinion. At this price point, it is not worth getting right now mind you, with how bad the game is, but the price indicates also, that the game will never be something really fun. It will probably always just be that interesting game that you can play for an hour maybe, then forget about for months on end. If it was priced at $10 or $15, and the developer actually knew what he was doing, or had some help, this could be a really fun space tower defense game.
Right now, all I can say is if you enjoy tower defense games, and this looks like it could be up your alley, don't waste you money right now, but keep an eye on it. I will definitely check it out again and hopefully it will have gotten better with some updates.
Put a fork in me.... I'm Done!
I wont recommend this game.... the controls are buggy (even with the controls being sooooo simple!) it says click to place but it doesn't work 95% of the time even when its highlighted green.. when you do manage to place an object its a 50/50 chance it will just float of before you can place anything else..
it doesn't give you time to prepare for whats coming up, by the time i've placed the first object (beam or floor) i'm being shot at,
i really enjoy TD games and this is something different and normally i wouldn't give up so quickly, but after the 10 minutes of frustration just trying to place the first object I've had enough....
10/10 I wouldn't play/buy this again
I agree the concept isn't bad.
However I suffer from frequent hit detection issues when setting up, adding to a fair deal of frustration too fast. This compounds the placement issues and adds to the problems with the defenses being taken out too fast and often shooting themselves if placed poorly.
It needs some kind of restrictor on the weapons to limit it from damaging itself long before it even damages hostile emplacements.
I would say give it a shot for the cost, but even then it isn't worth it yet. It may turn around, but I am probably not going to wait for it.
Unusual «Tower Defense», which combines the elements of strategy, economics, construction, sandbox survival and puzzles. Help to survive the tiny settlement in this hostile universe!
Good game!
The unusual and challenging game.
Casual way.
+ Good music.
The concept is not bad, but the execution is terrible.
I've been unable to survive long, primarily because it's impossible to work out how things work. The game is in serious need of a tutorial.
Aliens come and start shooting you, so you build a wall for protection...and it takes one shot before floating away. I don't know if it is meant to do that or if I built it wrong. So build more walls. Within seconds, you no longer have resources to build and you simply watch as your guys get killed. I later worked out you get resources by shooting stuff with guns...but it doesn't help much.
Also, the UI is unintuitive. They've tried to keep it simple, but it's confusing when the scroll wheel doesn't scroll the build options. It took me a while to work out I had to drag it. And the first time I played, then died, it pops up the message to press ESC (to exit etc). The problem is there was a massive white wall on my screen, and the text was white. I simply couldn't see what I was doing.
On top of all that, it seems to be unstable. I've played for about 20 minutes, and crashed it twice. Once it just hung and I had to kill it with the task manager, the other time it was a CTD.
This game could be really good with some fairly minor tweaking, and it probably is good once you understand it, but as it is, it's confusing.
I just requested a refund. If the game doesn't crash, it's practically impossible. There is no scoring (which kind of would make sense), and issues with the game play make things worse:
1. Placing items frequently sees them float off, because they were not attached properly.
2. Guns shoot at ships through your asteroid (obviously not hitting it), rather than the ship right in front of them...they lock onto the first target and keep shooting at it until it is dead or out of range (maybe...I died before that).
3. The balancing feels off to me. Rather than ramp up the difficulty, it seems you are thrown into a desperate situation immediately. You get very little resources to start, and an armada of ships comes to kill you. Put down 1 or 2 guns, which are quickly disabled then it's game over essentially.
