It could be good, but have never done. Now, no refund issued for "early access" like me who played less than an hour and expected this game to be "full functional", while it turns out to be a joke with free access in the end, treating early access customer like a fool.

Pretty much a dead game. Not many people on ever. That is if the game even starts. I was able to hop in there at one point. But the past few times boots up to a black screen and crashes.

Well I'm bored, so I am reviewing this game. Capsa is a social game made with multiplayer in mind, like your normal MMO. It is made in the Unreal Engine (more on that later) and was on Steam Greenlight when that was a thing. I actually backed this on the service as I was impressed with what it was, especially compared to some of the... other stuff. And now I have it, was it worth it? Well, let's find out!

Gameplay: There isn't much here, as the game isn't meant to be this insane anime super game. For what this game is supposed to be like, it does it well. You have a few things to do, like walking, climbing on specific surfaces and swimming in LAVA!!!! jk, water. Like I said, it's simple, and since more stuff is planned, there is something to keep coming back for, especially online. Does it well, but it might seem bare bones to others, and I agree that more can be added.

Graphics and Presentation: Remember when I said this game was made in UE4? Well, that affects me because Epic Games knows nothing about optimization, but this game has better optimization than others. I cannot experience full graphics due to my potato PC, but looking at pics shows this game's beauty with times of day, nice lighting, and so much more. I wish I had a better PC though. A cool thing is that you can customize your character like crazy. Both male and female have specific options (although Kirbyfan45 law states that female is the true choice). Requesting clothing items might also be a thing, but PLEASE don't ask for nudity! I saw someone on the Steam community actually ask for that. Don't be him. I cannot fully experience this for myself, but if you can, you'll like it.

Sound and Soundtrack: Under normal circumstances, this game does not have either. Sound effects are scarce, only used for water, footsteps, and entering the customization area. That is kinda weird. This game will fail in this area if it were not for one thing: custom songs! By finding music areas like DJ stands, you can insert the URL of any song you know (or copy and paste it) in the text box. This allows custom OST, which is cool. That helps a lot if you can't tell!

Replayability: Well, this is a social type game, with online multiplayer in mind. The replayability comes from what you like. You can explore the areas and find secrets like the 126 hidden items or go online and make new friends (or enemies). I didn't play online yet, but I might, and you can apparently make your own servers, which is neat. So I guess in this sense you make your own replayability, I dunno.

A fun fact: One of the game's developers, Vetron, is actually on my friends list, and is a cool guy/gal. Vetron answered my questions on the Greenlight page and helped me with the graphics by improving optimization. I recommend befriending Vetron. His profile is in the link provided.

Final Thoughts: After looking everything over and from my experiences, I feel this game deserves this score. However, you may have different experiences and thoughts, and disagree with me, and that is fine, everyone has opinions. However, I think this game deserves a 7.1/10 with a side of some cat ears. It definitely has a certain audience in mind for the enjoyment factor. I am not fully in this area, and UE4 being poorly optimized, if, at all, might have hurt this game in the long run. This is a PC exclusive from Steam Greenlight, however, it is not entirely impossible for the game to get ports on other consoles. Skullgirls got ports, and so did Freedom Planet, and I feel this game deserves a PS4 port as a good version of Atom Universe. If you have a good enough PC, than I recommend it, otherwise, you should play the waiting game.

Right now from what I see on my schedule, there's normally 3-8 people on. There may be more on when I'm off doing weird stuff. The TWO developers Vetron and Carly are awesome, and actually talk with the players. Now then let me make a strong note here, this game is Early Access. Which, if you don't know what that means, I suggest you take the time to read the Disclaimer that is present on the store page. The devs are activly putting up fixes and patching issues. So far players are nice, if not a tad ADHD but hell who the fuck isn't nowadays? LOL. The graphics are well done, the islands have plenty of flora, you can ride horses, and mildly customize little houses.

That being said. THIS IS A SOCIAL PLATFORM. As in, not a standard modern game. There's no death/drowning/falldmg/Any of that. It's all about talking, getting to know people, looking good, and having a relaxing time. And honestly if you want to take a break from ARMA3, Dark Souls, or Star Citizen; looking for something peaceful and social based, then this may be worth your time to look into.


So to wrap up. Good graphics, okay character customization, HORSES!, No Lords Of Cinder, No bitchy significant other, boooty fo dayz, and of course it actually runs pretty well.

Dead as all hell.
Customization are totally whack and limited.
I played this for 15 minutes before I demanded a refund.
I can see they were trying to go for that Second Life vibe, but sadly it didn't work out for them.
This game should be free. Even then it would be dead with no one on any of the servers.

Let me preface this review by saying that this isn't my first social game. Quite the opposite really, I've been playing them since the early days, and I try to play all of them that I can. I prefer to have as many clothing options as I can in one of these, but what's here is solid and customizable. I've tried to find something wrong, something that they could improve on, but haven't found anything yet. Despite being only a couple months old at the time of this writing, Capsa is one of the most promising social MMO's I've played in a long time. I enjoy it more than the PS4 ones.

You can see in the screen caps and such that this is a gorgeous world, but what you can't see is that the currently small but active community is welcoming, helpful, and fun to be around. You can't see that the servers are incredibly stable and there's almost no glitches to be found in Capsa. You can't see that all of this was done by two people, who are always at work on this game and who are happy to answer questions or problems people have. You can't see the fact that this game doesn't do the whole microtransactions thing, and once you've bought the game you get everything from now on. You can't see that it's quite a bit fun to search the island on foot or horseback, climb the rocks, chase a friend through a maze, and then chill in front of a giant screen playing a youtube video you like while you discuss with others the stuff you did that day in Capsa.

But after spending as of now 10 hours in this world, I can safely say that you should see all of this for yourself. If you have enjoyed virtual worlds or social games in the past or want to try a good one out to see what the fuss is about, this one's my suggestion to you. It's worth the money, that money goes to supporting a tiny, dedicated indie team, and I really look forward to seeing what else these devs decide to add to this already awesome world.

A nice game to meet new players, explore the world they have made and still are bulding, nice landscape and textures. And the people in the game are nice and willing to help if they got time, just ask.

Soo if you whant a social game where you can hang explore and listen to music and just chill than its rigth game.

It is everything it promises. It seems a little bare bones right now. But in time I think this will be pretty cool.

This is just my personal experience and my opinions so just keep that in mind when reading this. I played this game for about 30 minutes and I think this was the only game I ever had to request a refund for. I've never requested a refund for any steam games before so maybe this just wasn't the game for me I'm not sure. I was looking for something to replace a virtual world without microtransactions because as you know those gets extremely annoying. When I first started the game things were great, now once my character was made and in the setting this is why I refunded it.

The controls....
Don't get me wrong there was a place to change the controls to what you wanted to use for the cameras and movement etc. However, no matter what I did the camera controls just never worked for me and I just couldn't figure the game out in general. Then this is a brand new computer I'm on the lag was just terrible, I don't know why and I'm not sure why I had the issues I had. This game was good in theory for me but just wasn't the game for me.

I am happy however, that so many others are able to enjoy this game, I wish I could have done the same, but I'm sure as time moves on this game will get better and better. However, I do suggest possibly like a tutorial system or starting point so others can change settings to what the need and what not. It just kind of placed me in the world and I wasn't sure how to begin.

I see great things for this game but right now it just isn't for me maybe when it gets out of early access everything will be fixed and better but until then I think it's up to others to give input for this game.

Whoa, here I am almost 60 hours in-game! It is entertaining no doubt and recommended – True.

You got a small development team though, so… progress is going to be slow…

I heard people say there is more to come and we just can’t wait to see what’s next.

Where do we go from here? …just looking for some Accountability. We hope they would post a what’s next section with some approximate deliverables dates to foster some accountability.

This game is definitely very cool. What's different about it is it's a peaceful game.
You can't get killed or injured. It is an open world where you can swim,
drive vehicles, customize your character and the vehicles appearance.
You can explore and chat, dance etc. you can search for hidden packages to get special titles that you can wear. It's coming out really cool and it's fun to go on there and chill out when there are people online. I personally really like the game and it's not even finished yet.
It's a great place to just chill out and chat and enjoy an open world without violence.

This game is really fun. The developers are actively in the game chatting with people and listening to ideas. Please keep in mind this game is Early Access and is a work in progress. It has a lot of potential and I see many fun things coming to do in the future. I strongly recommend this game. You can spend hours here talking to some really cool people.

Hi! First of all i want to rate this game with 15/10. Why? Because it is the perfect place to hang with friends and chat, and make new ones.Comnunity is small because this game it is at the begining, but they are so friendly and smart peoples, not idiots, and with new update can you watch cinema from youtube pressing 4 key then let other player to choose the movie typing /unclaim. It is an early acces game, but the devs say cause in the near future will be gokarts, underwater fauna, helicopters, swimming and much more! I cant wait to enjoy race with friends, right now you can race with horses, and its fun! Congrats developers, you did a really great job with this social game. An there is progress almoust everyday inside. im so happy about my purchase. See you in the game, let's rock!

It looks good as an early access version. Game developers also socialize in the game as well. You can change time inside this game to see a good environment in daytime and nighttime. You can put some media source (e.g., youtube to watch during you are in the game. You can met a new friends. Can't wait for another patches and gadgets. The development teams are keeping update for making game by add some features and contents.

So... after playing this game for some consecutive hours i must say... this is so much fun <3

I was looking for an alternative to Second Life, and this is awesome. Keep in mind it is early, so you can't go in thinking your going to have a million things to choose from, and meet hundreds of people! Worth the money! Already it is so awesome with the dancing and beautiful graphics! This has the amazing potential to be an awesome game!

So 320 hours of gameplay, met many super nice folks, visited all areas multiple times (Map is huge). Super stoked i gave this game a shot upon release!

Developers are really friendly and work really hard, updates have been frequent, sometimes daily depending on what theyre working on. Lots of exciting things to come in the future of Capsa, but need to give them time. Just 2 developers and the game hasn't been out long at all. Lots has changed from the short amount of time it has been released.

So if you love meeting lots of nice people and socialising, exploring the huge islands. Doing things like finding the 90+ items hidden in capsa, exploring mazes, designing your own unique home, watching your own youtube videos with friends on the cinemas or in your homes, this game is for you.

Update - 1369 Hours played and the game has had a huge change. Many of the islands have been worked on and filled with lots of beautiful areas to unlock and explore. Sea in game has been reworked completely with a new look and underwater areas to explore. They have also added lots of Caves on the islands with a huge amount of new collectibles to find.

There are now vehicle types players can explore the islands with. You have a few buggys/boats to choose from and planes soon to come. Vehicles are all customizable with lots of items in the capsa store to design with, as well as in game drop items that are rewarded for in game playtime.

Still loving the game and play frequently, but is best when lots of new people come to try Capsa. The more busy it is the more fun :P
