Saurian is a dinosaur survival experience set in Hell Creek 66 million years ago. Players will take control of several extinct species in their natural environment and attempt to survive from hatchling to adult. This game presents a solid, informed recreation of what North America may have looked like during the Cretaceous period. The models for the dinosaurs in Saurian are also gorgeous and designed with accuracy in mind, with some notable dated designs. The Devs are seemingly a team of 5 now, so of course this comes with lack of content.
Keep this in mind before purchasing!
Devs got screwed over by their old manager, now they're back to work on this amazing game with great potential!
great if your REALLY into dinosaurs. Wouldn't reccomend if you want multiplayer tho
Saurian almost perfectly captures the essence of living as a dinosaur living in the cretaceous period. that is what I paid for, but I do think that some mechanics do need to be fixed like pouncing on very similarly sized dinosaurs I understand what they did because of the rpr but I don't think that a struthiomimus would be able to stand when a dakotaraptor is on the side or top of it and even if it could, the dakotaraptor jumps on it which would at least have to knock it down. I am 50% sure i am wrong but that still is my opinion. I honestly don't blame them if they fix this and i do know there are more stuff that may need to be fixed but this is the only one that I noticed lol. besides the didnt the devs get like a lot of money stolen by their manager or something. the point is i don't blame the devs for any bugs or ai problems or anything of that sort. because they still are making updates and trying to work on this really old game. I'm pretty sure this game is older than me lol.
this game gets like a 7.9/10 from me
PS : devs....please add a pin mechanic to the game I really think it would be sooooooo cool.

Fun game for the small amount of content it has, but probably not worth the price. Get it while it's on sale.

This game is amazing, it truly is. however its future is dark. Developments been slow and nearly halted due to roughly 75k stolen from the developer company bank. its been like this for a while now and we can only hope.
This, folks, is what happens when you hyper-fixate on "le realisym" instead of actually trying to make a functional game. Always had a feeling that they were gonna just end up abandoning this. Should have refunded when I had the chance.
fun. kinda buggy tho. wish i could be more dinosaurs.
I want this game to be good so badly, it is fun at first, but the bugs and strange ai behavior really mess up the immersion. I really hope one day the devs come back to this game
Dead game
I would not buy this game in it's current state. Currently, it's looking like abandon ware like many others before it it that have started in Early Access.
It's a real shame since the game has a good idea here, one that others have actually put together much better. Want a dino sim? Try "The Isle". It's got a lot more going for it.
Do not buy it. If you are that interested, then follow it and wait till it gets finished... if ever.
had so much potential but they gave up on it
It's been over a year since they've even posted a devlog. Pretty sure it's been abandoned in a really incomplete state.
no updates for a year and a half. been in early access since 2017, and has barely had much added since. only 2 of the 4 planned dinos are currently playable, and aside from a few other species to interact with, the world is pretty devoid of things to do. it had potential, but is just not worth it.
I want to be able to recommend this game so bad, I really do. But I can't; not in good conscious, at least. I had a lot of hope for this game back in the day--I was so excited to see it released!! But that was seven years ago. I've graduated high school and university since then, and I can't pretend to be hopeful anymore.
Saurian is a game that hasn't had an update in 15 months, hasn't had a major update in longer, and only has two playable dinosaurs. On release, I remember this game ran poorly, and it hasn't gotten much better in the seven or so years it's been in Early Access. You need to tinker a lot with graphics to get it to run decently. This game is very pretty, at least, but at the detriment of both performance and gameplay. There really isn't much to do here. Dakotaraptor is fun for a while, but eventually grows stale. Triceratops grows stale quickly. Unless you want to spend hours following a herd around with an occasional bout with a predator, it really isn't worth your time. Find another game to play. The devs can't keep up with it now due to the actions of prior management, leaving the game in a permanent state of half-built limbo.
Feels like a rip off. Buy any other dino game, just not this one. Feels empty, there is nothing to do. And the dino you are is boring AF.
Abandoned game that should not be in the shop. I would give games with a bit potential a go, but here there is just no point to it. Skip, don't buy. Go play the Isle or something.
this game has been in early access for 7 years, need I say more?
