Birdy doesn't give a f&*k about hooman problems!
Nice little relaxing game in the same vibe of Flower. We control a bird that has to find objects to finish its nest. Relaxing, but sad in the same time, because the story takes place in a dictatorship. A little too bad this aspect isn't more used in the gameplay. And sometimes the controls are buggy. But that's a cool and pleasant game.
Fantastic game, it felt very peaceful exploring the map. I thoroughly enjoyed finding the shiny objects and twigs for the nest, I also enjoyed the added feather finding, this ensures you explore the map in its entirety. Incredibly made game which I would 100% recommend to those looking for a fun, peaceful, realistic bird flying experience.
Attractive bird flight sim, with a story and fetch quests. The bird handles fairly well, although is prone to getting stuck in objects after landing and making take-off difficult. A relaxing game to play for a couple of hours.
A charming indie flying game that's low on stress and crafted with love. Think of it as a solo-dev 'Stray' but you're a bird instead of a cat, or a non-VR version of 'Eagle Flight'.
The graphics are stylized and I found them cute, but they're not photo real like Stray or as stunning as Eagle Flight. The city is a really nicely developed space however and I enjoyed learning my way around. Kudos to the dev for being a Cave Story fan!
Since it's a smol budget project there is certainly room for improvement. I personally found it frustrating that while flight controls are 'proper', camera controls are FPS style, and while you can invert, it inverts both! Oh well, I did manage to play Metroid Prime on GameCube with inverted controls so it's surmountable... XD
A delightful couple of dollars if you like exploring cities, or flying around.
You are a bird, you fly around the city, collect trinkets to carry to your nest, and meanwhile listen in to people's conversations. There is a story about a totalitarian system and a rebellion, which is OK but nothing extraordinary. The flight mechanics are pretty bad, but overall it's a relaxing little game, so I give it a thumbs up as it's not that expensive either.
A fun explore game with a much more serious message. You are a magpie and you get to fly about in a city and surrounds, listening to human conversations held by sack-like people in a pretty well detailed 3D environment. Try to explore the boundary for hidden areas and scan about for items, like any self respecting magpie would do. It's a very fun flying game, not as long as one might like it to be, because there is not a load to find. I'm not sure if there is a message to oppressive regimes or dictators hidden here, or even a love story, because it is a beautifully populated and rendered environment.
Once you find everything, go on and execute a few acrobatics. Despite what the devs say about using a controller, mouse and keyboard worked perfectly, there was a camera stuck moment or two, but easy to get out of. This is a seriously well thought out game.
The controls for this game on PC are absolute hot garbage. Every time I took off the bird just slammed into the ground, and just keeps hopping instead of taking off again. Tried all of the controls and it just starts turning in a circle. I was looking forward to a relaxing game of flying around the city, I got a disappointing mess.
the only good thing is the sound track, everything is janky and poorly optimised, there is barely any story and following the only goal gets tedious and boring
Pros: I enjoyed the idea this game had; viewing the struggle of this town under a dystopian dictatorship and watching it unravel as a bird simply looking for material. I think the art style really suits the game, the music is pretty relaxing. This game can be pretty relaxing when you are flying high in the sky and looking down on the village below. I wasn't a fan of some of the voice acting but I can see the love that went into the story writing through the dialogue so that was cool. There is a pretty good attention to detail in populated areas of the map. The bird player model is really well made and thought out- the bird's feathers actually act aerodynamically and mimic real bird flight. I thought that was pretty cool.
Cons: I kept trying to give this game chances and kept being disappointed. I spent about 30 minutes trying to fix a graphical bug that was tied to the render distance in the game (the most pivotal part of the game play). This game is poorly optimized (I have a pretty hefty pc that can handle pretty much anything) and had lag. There were bugs with the waterfalls and the controls are horrific. I switched to a controller and still had issues. Your bird pulls wherever it wants at times; this made focusing on the game a little hard as it changed from a story based experience to surgeon simulator with wings.
Overall: I don't agree with this game being released with such game mechanic breaking bugs (the render distance glitch i had). BUT I do think this game is worth the money I spent on it (I got it on sale for less than 2 dollars). I wanted to like it so much more. I think if this game was fixed and a bit more polished, they could've expanded on it a lot and made something compelling and powerful. This game has such a unique way of presenting information to the consumer; but it feels half finished- especially at the end.
A sweet, short little flying game set with lovely graphics, flight and calm music. Thoroughly enjoyed the few hours it took me to make my nest, soaring and gliding the map looking for materials. The story, if you can really say there is one, seemed to me to be about a dystopian state where the people are worn down under the oppressive government, yet where beauty and hope persists. At the price point, Copola is definitely worth the small investment.
Amazing game. Good voice acting and incredible music. It's so relaxing to soar through the city and overhear the people's conversations as the story unfolds. I'm not at the game's completion yet but I'm really enjoying the flight...

This game is a gem!
For everyone that loves birds and story telling, this is definitely something you should pick up.
You fly around as a bird, collecting things for your nest, and while you do so, you can hear the people in the town talk about various things. The story becomes more and more clear and it's honestly super interessting!
The music is super nice too and the bird controlls smoothly and nice. You can even find things to make you faster later.
It may not be a very long game, but I think the price is very much worth it.

This is a cute little game where there is an oppressive story going on with humans, but you are just a bird, and all you care about it building your nest... and eavesdropping of course. It can be a little tricky to get used to the bird, but once you get the hang of it, it's a joy to take to the skies.
The game takes about 90 minutes to complete, but there does seem to be a common bug with one of the achievements. I played through twice to get all the achievements, trying both types of control scheme (both with controller) and that did the trick.
I would have been happy to pay the full $5 for this unique little adventure, so highly recommend this game if you see it on sale. If you've never spread your wings before, now is the time!
Copoka is a beautiful little game, the perfect example of the saying 'short and sweet'. The experience of being a bird, a silent observer to a country and it's citizens in strife is not for everyone. There is not a great deal of action and no danger. You fly around, collecting shiny things to adorn your nest. On your journey you listen in on conversations that make up a narrative of a country divided by hardship. You can either choose to stay and listen, or simply continue on your quest for shinies.
There are a few collectibles and several achievements that extend the gametime somewhat. Flying around can take some getting used to with a keyboard, hence the strong reccomendation of a controller. After a rocky start though I got the hang of it soon enough.
The graphics are charming in their own way, simplistic, yet lovely. The music is very fitting, soothing, giving you time to really relax.
While the game may have a short play time, and not a great variety of features, what is there is a zenful gem.
The graphics are just stunning and the controls are really smooth, even on keyboard which is how I played it. The story is really deep and actually pretty interesting and fun to piece together (not hard), it's like a gigantic jigsaw puzzle. I'm a bit stupid and at first I didn't know wtf to do so I just flew around looking at the world and listening to the conversations of all the people. I wanted to push the bird to the limits. After I found out what I needed to do, it guided me into following the story more and I learned more aobut the story(I'm trying to avoid spoilers here). It is a really short and sweet game, a bit too short though. The story is deep and actually has a really good meaning behind it if you think about it. All in all it is a really fun game, short, sweet, and for 5 dollars it is exactly as much game as I'd expect, probably more actually.
Just a beautiful game with fine little details and an interesting "Story" ;)
It's also really relaxing because of the wonderful music and the atmosphere!

I love this game. Really put emotions in my heart.
I've been dreaming, begging, even for more bird-games. Maybe I'm a pretty niche customer in this regard. I just adore the sensation of getting to fly around and explore of my own control.
Overall, the controls feel great. I love flying and swooping and diving, I love the sound design, especially the rustling of leaves when you dive through trees. It feels great, everything about this game feels great.
I wish, a little, that there was more content in some regards-- things to collect, conversations to listen in on, stuff like that. But for a game that's regularly $5 (and I bought it on sale for $4), I can't complain. This is just a lovely little piece of work for its price, and I plan to play it more in the future despite having finished the 'story', just to relive the sensation of flying.
Played the first 'chapter' of the game, and really liked it for what you get for the price. It's nice to fly around as a bird, which has some nice actions to perform.
There is some stuff that could be improved to make the game better, which I will place in the discussion forum. But I certainly felt entertained while playing Copoka.
Interesting game, reminds me of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, due to the fact that it is heavily story based, exploration, and little to do but discover the story and build a nest. With this being said, however, it is a fun and intriguing game. So far I have played through the first little chapter, I guess it would be called a chapter. I do have one little gripe, however, before starting to play I went into settings and changed the camera to be inverted, though when starting the game, the controls were not inverted. I went into the options mid-game and changed it back, but I could not go far enough down to save the settings, I am playing with an Xbox 360 controller. I had to go back to the main menu and change it. When I reloaded the game, my movement, left analog stick, was correct, but my camera, right analog stick, was incorrect. Therefore, I play with correct movement, and try not to move the camera too much.

My first impressions:
Copoka really is unique, and that in many ways.
The ability to play as a bird and freeroam in the skies or on the ground was the main reason I've decided to give it a shot, but there is a bit more to this game than just flying around and experiencing a city from a bird's perspective. However, at the same time, not too much more either. That is not to say the game doesn't offer a lot for its price, ultimately.
Make no mistake, this game is more of a laidback "zen session" than an actual game in the classic sense, something you want to beat. Sure, there are goals. There are "collectibles" and "upgrades". But I do not believe these are the things you necessarily want to exclusive go after when playing.
Your goal is to find various objects in this world to add to your nest and enhance it, so called "trinkets", such as a broken glasses frame or a bottleneck. Trinkets will be highlighted and are rather easily visible when you're high up and looking around. Having picked up a trinket, your nest will be marked in yellow and enables you to easily find your way back. Once you have collected 5 trinkets, you will progress to the next "set" of trinkets to collect. And with that, you will progress in the story.
Yes, a story, and I will come to this later.
While collecting the trinkets you can also collect up to 11 feathers which will permanently upgrade your speed to actually significant levels. I have only collected 2 or 3 feathers in my playtime and felt a nice increase. Soaring through the sky is a lot more fun with a few speed upgrades, that I will definitely say.
The aesthetic is very intriguing, reminding me a bit of Mirror's Edge in the sense that most buildings are very simplistic, boring even, and colored in white. In stark contrast to that, however, is the lush environment around with colors of all sorts. Your bird is rather realistic-looking, too, in very stark contrast to the humans, which coupled with the nice animations while flying really adds to the sense of surreality. And then, of course, you have really beautiful music playing along, which can just as well be abruptly interrupted by military chanting over extremely loud speakers as you get close to the city hall.
It should be evident that this game is all about drawing you into a totalitarian world, beautiful to a bird when looked at from the sky, but horrible when on the ground and close to sick and fearful humans. You do have a choice which of these you want to experience, though, and this is a very good thing. You are a bird, after all. You can fly anywhere you want.
Finally, there is indeed even a story of sorts involved. A story which might very well come as expected from a game that features such a totalitarian state. But also one that might very well surprise you. It certainly did surprise me, and I felt compelled to listen closely and observe the changes the lands were going through.
Yet, as I mentioned above, it is not forced upon you. That is a really good thing, and now that I have "beaten" the game after about an hour, I honestly want to do a second playthrough at some point where I will try to listen to every conversation. Surprisingly enough, it should be noted, the voice acting is actually not terrible. It isn't even bad. It's... quite decent, at times good even. Though I suppose that goes to show there is a good amount of love in this project.
If that sounds interesting to you, then yes, by all means, support this little indie product. It offers on point value/money right now, and I can only hope that a few more additions and improvements will be made in the future. If not, hell, it's still a really neat little game.

Speaking of improvements, here are a few things I would like to criticize in hope that they will be improved:
Performance seems to be fairly decent on my system (Max/"Beautiful" graphics at 1080p). I run a 4.6GHz i7-6700k, 16GB of high-speed DDR4 RAM and an overclocked GTX 970, outputting to a 72Hz monitor.
However, despite the game being locked to 60fps, it cannot always maintain this and drops to around 45-40fps at times, though chances are you will not notice this all too much, as the game otherwise runs smoothly and is relatively chill and relaxed in the first place. Regardless, this is a bit weird, as it seems to run in the Unreal Engine and certainly does not offer the graphical fidelity to justify those drops.
But, keep in mind, it's not outright terrible to begin with. The game clearly works well, for the biggest part, which is why I am only mentioning this to point out the room and need for improvement, but also to make potential buyers who want their performance to be rock-solid and completely stable aware of it. If you are such a person, you might want to wait a bit.
Other than performance, the interface needs a little bit of polish, in my opinion. While you are able to choose between a standard and a more snappy control method, rebindable buttons and keys would be nice. Now, I chose the snappy control method, as it offers nice and pretty responsive control over your bird. But, despite the game claiming you will be able to change this at any time, you cannot actually do so without starting a new game. Either that or I'm really oblivious, but I haven't been able to find such an option anywhere else but at the start of a new game.
Lastly, I feel like the tutorial should be a tiny little bit more helpful. It will teach you how to take off, accelerate and break, but that is pretty much it. You could argue that this really is all you need, and I agree to some extent, but there are three more buttons bound. One you hold down to teleport back to your nest, and the other two for doing a birdcall. But I do not know if doing a birdcall actually does anything useful.
All of these things are, in my opinion, rather minor but should be noted regardless.
