Mosaics Galore 2 is a sequel, as the name implies. This is a better game than its predecessor. I wrote about the later in more detail in the previous review. I will repeat some of my issues shortly. One of the problems it fixes is the way you move the piece from your bank to the board. Now, you are not likely to accidentally drop it on the board and lose one of the three stars for the game. It seems that the game also allows more time, but I am not sure. It just seemed to go more smoothly and was more enjoyable than the first one. Here are some characteristics that may still be bothersome:
1) The time they allot is unrealistically short for most of the games that come after the first set. You can buy more time with the points you may have accumulated, if you have enough. Alternatively, you can play the same game several times, remembering where some of the more difficult pieces go. 2) The start puts a random set of puzzle pieces on the board and another set for you to play with. If you re-start the game several times, you will find that some initial conditions are much easier to solve the puzzle with, than others. 3) Perhaps the most egregious issue is that, many times, the pieces you have to play with, just do not have the clues to be placed in the right location. You can use the hint, which is free, and recharges after each use. This becomes especially necessary to utilize in the beginning of the game. So, recognizing and accepting these downsides will make the game more enjoyable, and will involve less cursing.
