О геймплее - игроку предстоит следить за показателями здоровья, искать предметы в брошенных другими рыбаками вещах, такие как еда, вода, возможно лекарства, газ для горелки, всё это ему пригодится чтобы пережить еще несколько часов.
В снах игрока будут ждать испытания от которых будет зависеть моральное состояние. Чем оно хуже, тем сложней игроку в целом выживать, а испытания становятся сложнее.
Всё происходит в условиях аномальной погоды, резко может упасть температура и как следствие поставить под угрозу жизнь главного героя, ведь если он находится далеко от палатки, то будет не просто вернутся в условиях плохой видимости и избежать гибели от сильного мороза.
Так же есть и другие риски, например, подскользнутся при прыжке или беге, это может повлечь травму из-за которой игрок может погибнуть или не сможет обеспечить себя.

i had this game for a while now its a preety cool game but when i tried to reply it it kept crashing on me
It's a good game, but needs some improvements. There are some bugs, needs more polish. Like better random generation. You always spawn in the same area with the items at the same area. This game has a lot of potential, but sill needs improvements.

A unique take on the survival game genre. instead of some sort of abandoned island, you're stuck on a giant floating piece of ice. you must traverse different ice blocks in search of supplies and items, while not falling into the water. great sfx, too. i really think they could make this AMAZING.
its good and all but pretty short all you really do is survive with basic needs and stuff i recommend you get this if ya got spare change
In all honesty there isnt actually much you can do in this game.
You can fish, you can search for things to help you so you can fish more....
You can go insane... and you can throw snowballs at zombies.
Its an ok waste of time.

This is a great game the graphics are great. the music is great, and is just fun in general, But it is hard. If fall in the water you die if run out of food or water you die. you can get head trauma, dizziness, leg trauma and more. so it is hard but fun and I love a good challenge.
Give this game a try if you can get it for 5$ or so. What is it about?
You are stranded on ice, and it's about surviving long enough to get rescued with items you will have to find around the place.
PvE is really fighting against thirst, hunger, diseases, frost as there is no wild life, except for fishes that you can fish or loot. There are no zombies, if not for small and optional minigames which are your nightmares at night.
It's a bit bare-bone, feels start of beta but has an ending. Current flaws are:
- controls are somehow clunky - all interactions (except entering the tent) must be done while being crouched and you do not have 360 degrees mouse control. Jumping is all but intuitive and will get you killed more than often.
- lack of some bare content - you only have 3 interactions: dig snow, eat snow, use/open. There is no compass, no map, you cannot collect or boil snow, there is no wood, no wildlife, temperature is Fahrenheit only. There is no crafting/combination feature. The lootable items are not a lot, but their look and feel is decent. There are wasted survivor tents that you cannot seem to be able to restore.
- you get bad health effects without proper explanation on why or what to do. My character had dizziness then felt sick, without me having a clue of why, considering I only ate proper food and drank the provided healthy juices. You cannot sleep when you want to, meaning that if you get tired during afternoon your character will simply fade and you might die out, letting you feel helpless.
- a bit repetitive and the character inventory space is very small, not upgradeable, with 8 slots. A single flashlight takes 4 slots when it should take 2. So you are always feeling encumbered and have to deposit loot way too often.
- sounds are minimalistic and while not very immersive are not breaking the immersion.
Despite its flaws, the game is relaxing and an interesting survivng experience. You will try it until you either get frustrated, or go to discover the ending.
The nightmares are ones of the best moments of the game, unfortunately they take a long time and are mandatory every time you sleep. Considering that you will die a lot, that they impact your health restoration, that the game is hard enough as is, you can turn them off and benefit full restoration without the hassle of failing your nightmare.
So far I did not finish it, game is hard, but with some practice I might be able to overcome its flaws and see the ending ;-)
Why would you get it?
As it is it is an interesting and original surviving experience. We wish there as a lot more to it.
If you played and liked The Long Dark you will find a short and refreshing experience here, without the wolves harassing you everytime.
It might seem odd, but I keep coming back to this game because it is relaxing. Once you know how everything works, and turn off nightmares, it's like a small vacation from the world.
It took awhile to get to that point though. Learning what to do and what not to do was a challenge. I died a lot at the beginning. I didn't even realize you could jump to the other ice sheets at first. It also took me some time to figure out that you aim and fire the flare gun using the mouse buttons. Staying on top of hunger, thirst and energy, and trying not to do dumb things takes some effort. It doesn't take long to play through, in fact the ability to save only came recently. The map changes each time, which can randomly make each run easier or more difficult. If you like more action in your games, keep the nightmares turned on.
I can't believe I paid $13 for this...
Get the demo and save your money. Great concept and was fun for about 15m but the dev said that's all you're getting out of this game. They thought about a desert skinned version but no.
For $13 there are so many other games you can get and you'll get more than half an hour of entertainment out of them.
If this game were $5 I would recommend.
Honestly i love the game ad i cant wait to see what they do with it.
I hope they add a little more detail on how to get rescued.. i used both flares at the start of a day and nothing happent, I lasted 6-7 days ad by the 5th i was running completely out of food and juice ad barely strugling to get more that 6th and 7th day literally maybe took 5 min because there was no more food or water. Hopefully they add a way to boil snow ad make fishing a bit more reliable
-the runing away from the boat minigame i always get and iv never been able to beat it.. i think the last jump is a little too big.
However all in all i think its a great game so far and cat wait for them to add new stuff
At this time the game needs more to do, there is some promise to it, like I love the nightmare stuff the most right now. I kinda just want the nightmare stuff right now lol. When the game gets more content then my review may change but as for now it needs a lot more work.
I can't see how its worth 13€ with such little content, my main problem is that the world isn't randomly generated but always the same.
I like it alot, but it gets upsetting to make such good progress and then slip and fall in the water, there should be a way to struggle for a way back to the surface, amd the loot is kinda lacking. but besides thoes few things its a really good and amazing game.
The game is great i only encounted one bug which is if you jump on the small platforms you ALWAYS slip and then when you get up you jump off. Anyways it's a great game I so recommend you get this game!
It's a cute game with some interesting mechanics but it just doesn't make any sense.
Why are sandwiches and batteries buried in snow mounds on these ice islands?
It's more of a weird dream than a game.
I simply cannot recomend this game in it's current state, thirteen dollars is far too much for such a bare bones game. It is fun, I will give it that, for a little while. It feels good and is difficult in a good way.
Now onto the parts I dislike... I think the minigame part is ridiculous, it does not fit the game in any way, like trying to put a corner piece of a puzzle in the center, it just doesn't fit, I appreciate the devs allowing you to remove this.
They also have too little things and actions, why can't I fill an empty bottle with snow and boil it? Why are the only foods you can find sandwitches and chocolate bars? Why are there no water bottles, only juice? The devs act like this is a finished game, when it is only a skeleton.
There is no way to see how your score adds up, my first game I got a thousand points, only lasting two days, another I last five or six and only get two hundred more points than that. I then see this guy with three thousand on the leaderboard, and have no way of knowing how many days he lasted, it is a disfunctional scoring system when you ahve no idea how the points add up, giving you no way to compare it with other people.
All in all, a fun little game, I'd price it at five to eight dollars in its current state. If the devs update it regularly and flesh the game out more, I might be able to recomend it, but until I see improvement, I cannot.
Survived well for a while, got into a rough spot though. I was shoving snow in my face just outside my tent as I started to hear an odd sound. A helicopter! I stood up and turned to rush to the tent for the flage gun cartige. Then I fainted.
That feeling after waking up, the absence of the beating blades. Nearly dead of dehydration. No strength to go out scavenging...
10/10 would get my soul crushed again.
A nice game with a lot of potential I hope is realized. Whether you have the nightmares on, or off, it is challenging in what you're willing to go through to survive. I'd like to see more survival options implemented, such as special tools to make survival a little easier late in the game, especially a findable pot to melt and boil snow in.
In the future, I'd also like to see the ice changing every day, even by a little. The path you took to that dead fisherman the day before is no longer there now, and you must find a different way.
One thing I would not like to see out of this game is the main character reaching Land. This is survival on the ice, and should remain that way, and be developed to expand upon that.
Currently things feel very finite. There's only so many bottles of juice and cans of gas on your ice flow. In many ways this is really part of the game, to eek it out until you can get a signal out so you can be saved. However I feel that if the player really puts a lot of effort into it, they should be able to survive indefinitely.
On a final note, if you're thinking of getting this, Get It.
It's a wonderful experience made by people who have put a lot of hard work and passion into this project to give us the uncommon experience of a stranded ice-fisherman. Fresh, new, fun, and unexpected.
So I picked up this game when it came out ... a huge fan of these sorta of games. From the first hour-ish of playing I can tell you that this game does not hold your hand in anyway. Its really..really hard! You will die and you will die over and over!
The stove wouldn't go on, spent the night in the dark because torches are somehow hard to work and died alone while cooking my only fish I got from the worlds smallest hole.
10/10 would play cooking sim again!
