Decided to pick up the ultimate pack while its on deep sale. So far, the gameplay is good and the characters have a lot of personality. Mai and Luong are fire! I highly recomend it!
Esse é outro bom KOF. Ele é mais equilibrado que os anteriores, tem uma grande variedade de personagens e modos de jogo, galeria de imagens, um final animado para cada time, modo online/offline e combos facilitados para quem está començando. O que poderia ser melhor ? Os gráficos dos personagens me encomodam um pouco: não são feios, mas tem um aspecto meio plastificado (parecem bonecos).
Completei o jogo em um sistema Linux utilizando o SteamPlay (Proton 9.0-4) sem problemas.
Good game on the potty Xp
I've had and played this game on PS4 for years. It's SNK's first foray into 3D and it's... Mostly on point. The looks are a bit off in some areas, but where they absolutely nailed it was the feel and character of the game. If you're not a long standing fan, that's difficult to explain, but if you play this you'll feel it. You'll totally get why this franchise is so loved.
So, with 15 out and 13 games before this, with the previous one looking SO good, is it worth getting this now? Yes, in short. Yes. If you're starting out, 15 may be the better playing game, but this is the first in the Verse saga and well worth playing to get both the story and the enjoyment of the game in general. Get it, play it, love it. It's a tonne of fun.
Does this game looks like shit? No, it looks worse, there was an obvious lack of technichal know-how, time, and/or money on the 3D of this game.
But, it is still King of Fighters and that's all it has to be said as endorsement, though I liked the endings, the plot developments, and the gallery having items from every other KoF was a nice touch (it didn't have ending illustrations so I still want it for the classic games you do have on steam, SNK).

If y'all are playing on steamdeck, don't even try to buy this one, in fact, don't buy any kof games,
A common issue among all of the kof game (ive tested every single avalible one, besides for kof 15) is it takes forever to load a single menu, in the matches it's fine, it plays as expected, the games run at 60 fps on highest settings. But it takes upwards of 5 minutes to load the main menu of kof 14, kof 02, kof 98, and mark of the wolves , and kof 13 doesn't even load (infinite loading screen on startup), liek in match, these games are actually decen and pretty good looking, but you're gonna die of old age before you even get to the main menu on some of these.

I've heard that the easy rush combos are to help new players but it just ruined the game for me , also we have even less story than in 13 , how did the series regress ?

The character designs are very nice. An update to replace the victory screen and character portraits with 2D art instead would fix the "ugly" descriptor.
Buy it and use ReShade and you will love it.
Oswald is the best
the dlc characters are really cool, but definitely buy them on sale. really fun game even if you suck at fighting games
It is a good game overall. I prefer the look and feeling of previous entries in the series. They look better, and have better game play. If you are a fan of the KOF series, and have already played previous entries, give this one a try. This game goes on sale frequently. Grab it then. Don't pay full price for this game, that's far too much.

Honestly the character variety ROCKS, KOF XV is better in numbers but WOW
After playing KOF 15 I couldn't find enough reasons to play this. I just wasn't having enough fun, and there isn't a working online mode, which is important in a fighting game. I liked the music and the ridiculously huge roster. On the Steam Deck, the panned out angle for stages doesn't work well for seeing the characters on the small screen. I found the ultimate edition just wasn't fun enough and I returned it. I do have a copy of almost every other KOF game on Steam and Xbox. I realize I actually LOVE KOF 15, I highly recommend you pick that one up instead, with all the DLC, if you don't have that one already!
