Its surprisingly fun the quality is all right and it just is interesting
I have not played this game for a long time, because after a while my eyes start to hurt.
But I give the thumbs up because i repair everything
IT'S NOT JUST REPAIR SATELLITE!
4.1
NO LONGER IN-GAME
I will make it quick. This game is quite fun at first. But as the game goes, you'll find nothing. I think this game will just focus on satellite, i was wrong. You need to fix those building and also build something to make your base are save from enemy missiles. I can't believe this game make me dumb. At the same time, you need to focus on everything so all need to be saved with one repair man.

Satellite Repairman a rage quit game that really make me dumb. Maybe i'm just noob in this game. It's really hard to control the character and stable to fix satellite, that wasting much time before the rocket coming. Hopeless, no more play this game.
Sorry, Just didn't tickle m fancy. I like the premise of the game though but it just isn't worth it.
RATING 4/10
Really fun to play. I can't say much , you know it is very simple game. buy it at sale or with a coupon you wont get bored when you are looking for something new to play.
Satellite Repairman is yet another bit of Russian shovelware from Trinity Project. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into DailyIndieGame bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab.
This time they got their hands on what seems like a genuinely made game (Well, slapped together with the craptastic Godot 2D engine) that's a fairly badly designed and badly implemented attempt at making a game from what seems like a reasonable concept, if it wasn't so badly made. It's a hybrid platespinner game where you need to fix satellites and juggle resources, at the same time moving around in a platformer-with-jetpack style.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this game was never accepted on the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for.
Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Godot game engine/toolset (the 2D part, the 3D part is actually workable). The Godot 2D component is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Satellite Repairman has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The achievements all have the same success rate, even the easiest ones... 0.7%. That's right, only around 1 percent of players bothered to play the game long enough to get any achievement before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this isn't conistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 1 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players? Trading cards. Players will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game. That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. The game doesn't demonstrate any true popular appeal with gamers, most likely due to the reasons raised in this review.
It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
Satellite Repairman is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
Despite other people saying that it's bad, I think it's actually a pretty good game. It is pretty fun, has good graphics, good gameplay, and has a fairly interesting "storyline".
Concept of the game is fun, but you simply don't have enough time to get prepared before everything you build is obliterated. Also, the mechanics of building new comms towers/missile launchers doesn't allow you to build in spaces that should be big enough, or replace destroyed buildings.
This game has great potential, and I'd really enjoy it if there were just a few fixes made. Even if the sandbox mode allowed you to have a greater preparation time the game would be much more playable.
Overall, the game is a tough and harsh grind. I am not entirely sure who would enjoy this game more, or what type of player would sink the most hours into this title. I suppose the game is worth a 6/10! Nothing special but nothing bad either!
Really not a fun game. Took a decent RTS idea and tried using 2D platforming controls. I did not enjoy trying to set up a defense satellite by hovering with a jetpack, in a timed challenge. Plus, the core mechanics of comms, radar, and gps are not explained very well, their use isn't obvious on the screen, and even the tutorial briefly mentions them. I get the sense that this design is intentionally difficult to understand, and I think that is what ultimately kills the fun for me. If the game offered some more assistance to the challenges, then I could be more patient with the game's own shortcomings.
Technically, it worked okay, except the gamepad controls have problems with the menus, and the game sometimes does not change the on-screen keyboard shortcut instructions. The game files are 100 MBs in size, and the game engine is Godot. I played this game off and on several times, on ubuntu linux 19.04 with radeon mesa graphic drivers and an xbox type gamepad controller. I would not recommend this game unless you are sure this is your type of game style, and take a close look at the total time played for these positive reviews.
Sad I bought this game. Looks like such a good idea but after 2 short tutorials you have level 3 with a surprisingly short time to figure anything out. The game just isn't fun at all with the difficulty curve going through the roof in the early levels.
I'm guessing it just causes more stress the further you get into it and advise you put your money elsewhere.
With a few tweaks this could make an ok iOS game but nothing to bother with on PC.
Looked and sounded fun, but it was not in ANY way fun...not at all. Controls where bad and gameplay was a joke but at least it looked ok.
I'm really upset that i bought this. I can't remember how much I paid for it, but whatever it was, it was too much. After spending 3 minutes with this game, I feel like I deserve to be smacked in the face.
Really nice game
A multiplayer setting would give this a really nice Aritimis: Bridge simulator feeling I think.
ahhhhhh i didnt like the lay outs of the controlls and stuff i liked the design ie the art work but that was kinda it id recommend the game but it just isnt for me
I had fun for about 1.5 hours, then I just got frustrated. The difficulty curve is not a curve, but a cliff.
Everything happens at the same time and needs your undivided attention: Building broken? Fix it soon, or it'll break(Which takes up valueable space for the rest of the game). Comm Tower broken? If your comm link breaks, a part of your planet won't be defended! Everything wants your attention, all at the same time.
You get no breathing room, which adds to the challenge, but also punished mistakes with even a hint of mercy. This shouldn't always be a problem, but I get the feeling I lose more time fighting against the game. I also think a "casual" game shouldn't be this stressful.
Building a satellite requires you to spend a lot of time in the (awful) UI, just to select the right satellite and modules. Selected the wrong one? There's no way to cancel production. There's not even a way to remove an item from your inventory, other than placing it. There are no hotkeys, and why can't we press enter to add something to the queue?
By the time you ordered your first sat+modules, they are constructed, you flew up, put the sat down, docked, put all the modules in(Press the number, then press e, press the number... etc etc) and got down, you're already (at least) a minute into the game. 2 minutes into, the first wave starts. If you spend those 2 minutes putting down sats, bad luck: Half of your planet doesn't even have comms! If you spent that time building comms, back luck: You don't have any radar! It also raises the question: Why don't we have simple ground-based radar?
The amount of micromanagement is too high. Every sat needs modules, which you have to construct independently. You don't have time to think about what modules to put in your sat because OH MY GOD A MISSLE JUST SET THE HEADQUARTERS ON FIRE. Even if you shoot missiles out of the sky, you can't rest. If the missile was close enough to a satellite, you're going to have to fix that sattelite. Go up to it, dock with it and hold W for what seems like ages. Which sats are damaged? The only way to check on damaged sats is either going up there, or adding a remote diagnostics module(Which is another module to add!).
If your planet doesn't have full comms coverage and your satellites don't link comms together, your sat is useless until it gets back in range.
If you lose your Construction Yard or Research Center(If you're not done with research), you're screwed. There's no way to get them anew. They will just take up space and throw mocking glances your way, while you're busy defending against the neverending barrage of missiles coming your way, which you will lose, because you can't research/make buildings anymore.
Everything you research/build is free. Time is your only resource, but you never have enough.
On the positive side: The game looks nice and the gameplay does have a lot of potential. For the price, it's a good hour of fun. But it's nothing more than that. It's repetitive and stressful. I'd just skip this game and go for others, unless you really want to try it.
I recommend it for the idea and the fair price.
You play as a satellite commander rather. You walk around the little planet, build factories and signal towers. At those factories you produce satellites and mods. Those are taken into orbit with your neat jetpack where you deploy them.
From my first impression the main activity is managing building times and attacks on your planet. It seems like the game gets quite fast and hard very soon. For what it does, the 4 bucks are very ok.
"As a Qualified Satellite Repairman, you must manage a complex system of satellites to ensure that your planet is able to maintain its defenses from incoming missile threats. Repair, upgrade, research and launch new satellites and plug-able modules. Maintain the vital GPS and Cell signals to keep communications alive throughout the planet, ensuring a quick and efficient defense to counter enemy attacks."
I'm better of being a plumber.
This game is not fun. There's not much strategy involved. You have barely any time at all to do shit. For example, producing a sattelite, all it's modules, picking it all up, flying up and placing it and inserting modules is probably going to take you a minute or so. But before this you want to have com towers on the ground, which ads another minute or so, so say two minutes until you have ground coverage and a single sattelite up and running. One satellite gives you maybe 20-25% coverage. Add another half minute to create a turret below your satellite and that's around the time the first missile appears.
Well, if that missile isn't randomly going to appear exactly where you put that satellite have fun. As far as I can see there's no way you're going to get coverage in all the spots where it's important before missiles show up as well as defenses, and there's no way to know roughly what directions missiles are going to come from before they're launched, so you're essentially just rolling dice.
If that missile didn't appear at your sattelite it's probably going to damage it. Now you can either go repair it, but that means you won't have more coverage by the time the next missile appears. Or you can ignore it and try to get more coverage, which will probably result in the loss of structures. The game essentially always have you feeling like you're behind. Any lucky stroke means you can continue on schedule, any not-so-lucky stroke means you're fucked.
There doesn't seem to be any resource system, you're simply limited by time. You can build as much shit as you want without any penalties beyond the time it takes.
The interface is also really clunky and obviously intended to be console friendly.
The game has a research system (again, only limited by time) but I don't see how you have time to worry about that stuff when you can't even get basics up and running before you get pummeled and you're way too busy trying to deal with that shit instead of stopping at your research center.
Also, the game has a star system but doesn't tell you how to achieve different star ratings (the first non-tutorial stage has you shooting down a single rocket, something I did without it damaging anything as soon as it appeared and I got 2 out of 3 for some reason).
That said, you can actually win a mission without actually shooting down a single rocket, by just repairing the damage they do, but that seems to be kind of avoiding the point of the game in the first place and turning it into a boring run to X, press repair game instead of actual strategy (hence the second sentence of this review).
If you came here looking for a strategy game: avoid like the plague.
Great fun game.
Pleasing introduction that makes you learn the mechanics
Fast paced
Would buy again. Thanks
