Indy's latest adventure plays out in dramatic fashion thanks to new gameplay features such as brawling combat. This time, in addition to using his trademark whip and pistol, Indy can engage in fierce hand-to-hand combat against foes, many of whom are well-versed in martial arts. Improvised weapons such as shovels, chairs and table legs also can be used to fend off adversaries. The result is a more immersive and more Indy-like gameplay experience, set amidst spine-tingling movie-like action sequences, such as a rickshaw chase in Hong Kong and a spectacular battle atop moving gondolas in the South China Sea area.
• Explore levels across the globe from Ceylon and Istanbul to Hong Kong and beyond.
• Shotguns, submachine guns, improvised weapons - and of course, Indy’s trusty whip and pistol.
• Fierce fighting action and hand-to-hand combat.
• Original storyline with new villains, wicked enemies and an alluring partner.
• Leap, swim, climb and punch your way through exotic locales.

This game is annoying the hell out of me.
My ex wife was easier to control than this stupid game!
You can not save the game anywhere, so I am stuck on level 1 because I cant get the idiot to hug a wall to get any further. You have to constantly press the walk key because of the ridiculous speed Indy moves at.
I give up!!! Infernal machine was 1000x times better!
It may be outdated, but it's definitely fun. Great hype up for playing the great circle
really interesting game
i had to agree to Disney's forced arbitration agreement to play a game from 2003, only to find out it aged worse than i thought it did.
Awesome. Huge fan of indiana jones and this is really cheap
Classic.
The game has its quirky moments (example: camera movement), but it starts to grow on you once you do two things: Get a feel for the controls, and take your time. The latter is what gets Indy hurt or worse!
That is all I will say about the game, because I want YOU to experience it for yourself!
I rate this game a solid 8.0/10!
I almost wanted to give this game thumbs down because of one horribly designed chase at the end, if you've played the game - you know what I'm talking about. I hope whoever gave green light to this scene was fired, incinerated and incarcerated. My impression of the game was almost ruined. But I contained myself. After all this is a good Indy game. There is challenge. Some of the puzzles are intriguing, the combat is straight-forward and can get a bit repetitive but can also be hilarious when enemies bump and kick each other. Climbing is all right. But some jumps are badly designed so you can fall if you are not precise. Another annoying things is few checkpoints and on challenging levels this can lead to a lot of rage when you die in front of checkpoint and have to replay whole level again.
This was always a mid-game. But it was made with soul. And it's Indy, come on.
Cool game! But there are some things you should take into consideration if you feel like buying:
- There are no checkpoints, so if you die you have to fight through the entire level again (which is frustrating af)
- I particularly don't like the movement mechanic, because it takes into account where the character (not you) is looking.
- Sometimes, when you are fighting, the camera starts spinning because it changes focus on the enemies
All In All, this game is a good challenge, even though it has some problems.
classic ps2 title
This was perhaps one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. If you make a little mistake in a sequence of a mission you have to repeat it from the start. And I died a lot. Sometimes because of a bad control and sometimes I just did not know where to go next and tried out to jump across a cliff or things like this. Also, the camera movement is quite slow and its speed can not be adjusted in the settings.
The combat can also be frustrating at times, because for some reason the enemies get randomly i-frames when you punch them. That is, you spam the punch button, Indy's fist literally penetrates the enemie's face, but doesn't hit for some reason. Instead, when your combo is over, you get hit yourself by a counterattack. Maybe there is something I did not quite yet understand, but one thing is for sure: the combat in this game is quite odd. The best and safest option to attack an enemy is to use a gun, but the ammunition is rare, so one often needs to spare it for the most critical situations, like for the boss fights.
But I still enjoyed playing this game and can recommend it to anybody who likes action games with many platforming sections and few puzzles. The reason being that the pressure of possible failure created a tension that doesn't exist in modern games anymore, because they make many more checkpoints after difficult game segments. So having finished this game really gives some sense of accomplishment. And I also think that this is a must-play generally for any Indiana Jones fans.
Ah the good old classic Indiana Jones game ( I didn't play Infernal Machine when I was young so this was one of my childhood games ).
I still love everything about this game, the locations, puzzles and heck even the cast and it's even better knowing it's all canon to the movies and novels.
Well one of the things that sucked was the clunky controls and the last few levels of the game where you had to time things perfectly, like the parkour for example, it sucked so much it was atrocious knowing the controls.
But besides that the game was really fun, the boss fights were cool and not all that hard.
The combat was also really interesting and creative, it was too much at times since some weapons dealt more damage than the others like the table leg for example is really OP defeating enemies in 2-3 shots.
I might try to play Infernal Machine in the future but after this I will play the new game and see how good it is.
9/10
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle but Better
My Indiana hat for a save system
While it has alot of outdated features it's still a fenomenal game I hope they remaster or remake this one
Classic Indiana Jones with Tomb Raider style gameplay. Great!
My PC is terrified of INDIANA JONES AND THE GREAT CIRCLE system requirements so I'm playing INDIANA JONES AND THE EMPEROR'S TOMB for the 100th time instead.
8/10
Whoever decided that this game shouldn't have a quicksave feature needs to be publicly executed. The later chapters are so incredibly frustrating.
W game
If you come to check it out after playing Great Circle you have to play this great game.
This game is timeless for me. Whenever I play, I really enjoy so much.
Great advanture, soundtracks, level design and more.
good
Fun adventure game with an entertaining brawling mechanic and some simple puzzles. Platforming can be a real pain due to janky controls and camera. The last couple of levels are absolutely brutal with trial and error being the only way to figure out annoyingly long and convoluted platforming sections. Glad I've finally completed it after playing only for a bit years back.
That's not gonna work
One of the best Indiana Jones games ever..
An amazing game.
The best INDY game around, got stuck on the kraken in Istanbul when i was 6 years old, 21 Years later i've completed the game!
A classic platformer! Indiana Jones rules! This PC version has some resolution & controller issues, BUT if you can figure it out it is well worth it. PC is the best way to play this gem.
Wonderful.
absolute classic
The truth is this game takes me way back. I think it came out around the time I was in high school and it was wild to play. As a kid all we had was the amazing Fate of Atlantis and the OK Infernal Machine. But this game had it all for Indy fans. Fighting, puzzles, gun play, replay-ability and an engaging story. The game is definitely worth your money for something you can play over and over again. I have my Xbox controller attached to my computer so there is a little bit of a keybinding issue, but you can generally figure it out pretty quickly. If your looking for a great game that you can sit and play for a few hours and relive the glory of the birth of 3-D gaming. Try this one out.
it's fun. I come back to it from time to time. feels a little clunky but I like games like this. worth it on sale
More action based than Infernal Machine, with smoother combat that better incorporates fists as an option. A good action platformer with that Indiana Jones nostalgia hit.
great
Underrated, the game is a classic!
Like. Clever puzzles ,graphics and value for money.
Dislikes. No "Quick Save" as with Infernal Machine. When you "die" you have to start the leg again from the beginning. This will infuriate most players. I nearly gave up many times.
Great game! played back as a kid growing up. Bought it in 2024 for the nostalgia and boy oh boy, i freaking love this game, cant wait for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle!!
love it
Nostalgia kicks in.
played as a kid. Finished as an adult.
Nostalgic classic. Still probably the best Indiana Jones game yet.
kicks ass
