it keeps crashing and is no fun because i always have to restart because im never able to save before the game crashes
Truly a classic! What other game lets you beat up kids, talk trash, and dunk heads in a toilet? It's unique and alot of fun.. The nostalgia hits hard from when I played this game on the PS2. Rockstar made a cult classic.
It's still an older game with PS2/Xbox360 graphics and all the charm (issues) that older games tend to have, the pc port on steam runs fairly well.. I've had a few crashes, but nothing crazy. If you don't like crude humor, pranks, or "bullying" you might not like it as much, but I say give it a try! I love this game :)
This game has genuinely been the biggest pain in my ass. I finish a mission and as I run to go and save my game it crashes and doesn't autosave. I search up tutorials on how to fix the crashing issue and it doesn't even help. This game would be a work of art if it wasn't bending you over randomly. Other than that the game is really fun and I like the story. Buy the game when its on sale if you don't care about crashing
Bully: Scholarship Edition is a fun game about a mischievous student at a boarding school. You can cause trouble, make friends, or even study! It's perfect for those who love open-world games with unique stories and quirky humor.
Why you should play it:
* School as a playground: Explore the school and town freely.
* Unique characters: Every student has a distinct personality.
* Engaging story: Full of surprises and humor.
What's lacking:
* Dated graphics: Some parts look a bit outdated.
Conclusion:
Bully: Scholarship Edition is a fun game to pass the time. Although the graphics are a bit old, the story and gameplay are still addictive.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Curious? Give it a try!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
i love this game, i played when my age is 12 years old, but when i play this on steam pc, there's a bug, black screen, and game crash force close, can u fix it
its a good game played it back on the 360 just a bad pc port can get the game fixed with mods and disappointed there's no achievements on is game like there was on the 360 but overall the game is enjoyable
ONE OF THE GOTY´S… Great story and emblematic character´s, even better that actual games, solid… 😎👌🏻 10/10
Constant crashing. Strange resolution issues that required changes in my computer's display settings. Unplayable.
After 30 mins, the game crashed T-T, I have good memories with this game. It is fun, It is sad we don't have the next game.
Nothing against the game , but the crashes and frame rate issues i faced during this made it difficult to play for me. Only way to play it is using the mods.
Thats why i dont recommend it. Because if you pay for something , it should work well. I should not have to go on internet and download mods just to run it.
Any how i refunded and bought GTA IV for that. :)
Very good game, they put a lot of work. You need to play this its too good to miss. 9/10 crashes every so often.
Amazing story, amazing gameplay got some bugs which is never gonna be solved cause its game from 2008's but overall strong 8/10 must play if you're nostalgic
I would recommend buying the console version. Bully is a great game, but the pc port is ass. Controls are bad and are almost impossible to change. Buy the original ps2 version of this version for ps4 or ps5
so many years and still my go to game. not much hours on steam platform but many hours on others.
best game for school life
u can reduce your stress through exploring the city or boxing match with npcs
also sometimes it may give error but don't panic and restart ur computer jst like chill guy
great game. decent story, lots of missions, solid progression. only hard thing is prioritizing the classes that only occur every few days and trying to get completion in the shop class on keyboard and mouse is pretty difficult.
I'm really just recommending the game, not the PC port. The PC port is kind of a dumpster fire but the game is actually great! I only have 4 hours on the PC version but I have played many more hours than that on consoles and really enjoyed myself! If you know how to mod and want to in order to play this game on Steam then it's a definite go. If not, then don't take the chance ruining your experience with optimization bugs. Great game! Horrible port!
one of the only story games i was arsed to get on with...... good play. and cheap.
amazing game, but crashes often and you gotta save manually in specific spots. annoying that you loose progress if you dont save enough but still fun overall
this game is amazing and ive had a good time playing it (when it plays) if you arent a habitual saver dont play this game because its an incomplete product it freezes crashes and loses your save data very frequently causing you to have to redo everything from your last save
This game is very good but it is optimized very poorly. In my 16 hours of playtime the game has randomly crashed on me 50+ times and with no auto save you can lose progress very easily.
game so good that i had to buy and finish it again!!! definitely recommend
BUYERS BEWARE.
Is the game good?
Absolutely. It has been ever since I first played it. In fact I will stand by the fact that Hogwarts Legacy absolutely fails where this game succeeds: You feel like an ACTUAL student.
But does it run good? No. No it does not.
It runs like an old man falling down the stairs. You should mod this game immediately after running it at least once.
If you are wanting to buy this game for the sake of having it on the Steam Library, go right ahead, but don't feel bad for emulating this game, because Rockstar did the bare ass minimum to support it.
Had I known it was in the state that it was, I might not have given my lunch money to Rockstar, but what's done is done.
5 out of 5 stars game, but this pc port runs like a Algie with a wedgie
Played and completed for the first time in November 2024. Besides some jank getting the game to run (which they apparently randomly working on now) - it's a fun time. Doesn't take itself seriously, in a good way. Very obviously a test bed for GTA style mechanics, but in an IP that isn't tied to their cash cow series. Quick game to beat, but I skipped a lot of the option side content.
the options for volume do not work otherwise nostalgia trip
You need to put achievements in this game, this is better than the Remastered Trilogy.
I haven't played this on pc yet, but if there is any question of whether or not this game is good, it is!
It is one of my all time favorite childhood games, I feel it could've been edgier and less fantastical, but it is amazing as it is, and it was smart for them to make it not mature rated so kids could enjoy it. I recommend this game, especially if you are a kid in middleschool or high school, it lets you get your anger out, and also the game goes through seasons. Overall, great game, very fun!
Bully: Scholarship Edition is quintessential Rockstar in the best sense of the word. A semi-open world filled with quirky mini-games, unique activities, and signature humor. It’s everything we love about this studio: caricatured characters, a satirical take on society, and an absurdly entertaining story that hooks you from the very beginning.
But the technical side ruins much of the experience. The game struggles to keep up with modern systems. Graphic settings are practically nonexistent, and frequent crashes and freezes have become a constant issue. I tried fan-made patches, including SilentPatchBully, which slightly improved the situation, but the freezes persisted. When the game froze one too many times before I could save my progress, my patience ran out.
The keyboard and mouse controls are another headache. The default layout triggers Windows commands, making the game almost unplayable without serious adjustments. While I have a gamepad that solves the issue, the very idea of such a poorly thought-out control scheme feels like a cruel joke by the port developers.
This is undoubtedly a fascinating game that deserves attention, but in its current state, the joy it offers is overshadowed by its technical problems. I can only recommend it to those willing to wrestle with its flaws.
Can't go wrong with this game. In my opinion, it was far ahead of its time for being 20 years old. Extremely entertaining cult classic.
no matter how many patches and mods you try to put into this god awful port it will not stop the game from crashing every second, you don't know how much i was exited to play one of my favorite childhood games and how much it had left a bad taste in my mouth
I am not able to enjoy this game for crashing issues , I tried many fixes , nothing worked . The Worst part is game crashes in mid mission and I had to start over again and again . This is frustrarting . I am a student and I saved money to buy this game. My 274 rupees got wasted . Same thing happend with me while playing manhunt . please do not buy this game , instead please emulate it on pcsx2 .
Loved the game as a kid still do! but crashes on PC every half an hour to an hour. I tried some fixes and they helped me play a little longer without it crashing, but still crashes. It wouldn't be that bad, but some missions I can't complete because it crashes too often.
Great game/ Crashes constantly.
Old and short game but definetively a fun game to play as a piece of history. Must play!
Another amazing game from oldschool Rockstar Games. I found out about it accidentally on a random Youtube letsplay and decided to give a try. While I did had some issues with launching this game (as apparently its was not updated for Windows 10), but luckily there is a fix in form of SilentPatch.
Very great game, but the optimization of the game is very disappointing. It crashes very often.
This Port is literal trash. The audio makes everyone sound like a bunch of horses trotting around stupid loud in your ears, and none of the sound settings even work. I installed a third party patch and this game still runs like shit. Don't buy this, literally runs better on an emulator.
I MEAN.
If you are read this, do yourself a favor and save your money and just emulate the game, this version being on steam runs so bad you can't even turn v-sync on without the game crashing.
That's disturbingly pathetic, Rockstar. Making all that cash and you just can't even hire a team to support your classics to be up to date with machines and operating systems to this day. It should just be a pinch of time and cash?
If Nintendo can get their games I mean, sorry, terrible emulators working on switch for old classic n64 games, I'm pretty fucking sure you can get this old ass game running right on tech that's developing way past what's left of your aging overdue la-z-boy riding brain cells sitting around all day shitting out cars no one asked for on gta online and content for your apparently hated by yourselves, red dead online.
My fuck all lords and mighty ones I am sitting here bitching about an old game when I could just roll it back to a better version and slap fixes on it, but I'm lazy so whatever.
game constantly crashes, cant even play :(
One of the most fun games I have played. Excellent satire/parody of the American school system that still holds up nearly 20 years after the release. I would love if Rockstar added the Xbox360 Achievements for this game. The game is buggy and needs the silent patch to run properly and also a widescreen fix too since it doesn't support 1920x1080.
This game was insanely fun, i really had a great time playing this game! It's a shame i played this game for the first time only now, wish i would've played back then when i was as a kid.
It has some bugs because it is quite old, but there are patches and fixes you can download to fix it, not the whole game but most of it yeah.
Rockstar really cooked something with this game, i don't know if it will be a sequel, but if they decide to make one, i just hope they don't mess it up.
Good gameplay, fun combat, nicely detailed open world. I like the way Rockstar makes games. The last third of the story gets a little repetitive though.
There is something about this game that continually draws me back; the storytelling is exceptional. I have played it numerous times, exploring different possibilities and experimenting with various mods to enhance my experience. I love it
great game but you might need to downlod "SilentPatch" because the game crashes randomly
Not the most perfect port out of the box, but the SilentPatch fixes 99% of the game's issues. Extremely good game nonetheless. Play it ASAP, the phenomenal soundtrack is included in the files as well.
Bully is one of my all time favorite games, I've played nearly every version since launch in '06. To me the game is still enjoyable and worth playing. But sadly Rockstar has let this game fall to the wayside and it barely runs on modern hardware. There is a fan made patch called the Silent Patch that fixes most of the issues. It is worth the tiny hassle of installing the patch to make the game work, but unless you are willing to do so, do not buy this game.
TLDR; Amazing game, but broken on modern systems and requires a little work to make playable.
So good game, really enjoyed playing this masterpiace and i hope rocstar will make bully 2
The game itself is good but I was very disappointed in its optimisation. Crashed way too much than I would've ever wanted. Play the game but definitely not this version of it, it stank.
The best game to ever exist. I finally beat the nerd challenge after playing this game for 9 years so i feel like i can die knowing that i have fully completed this game now. Young me would be so happy.
I played this game a lot on the PS2, so this expansion on the PC provides so much more since the Scholarship edition gives you more missions, classes, items, and a bigger world to explore.
