The game gets repetitive very fast...you would need a group of friends to play with in order to really enjoy the game. Especially in higher difficulties.
I had never even heard of it until i saw it on sale for like $3 so i gave it a shot, its actually a good game, reminds me of left for dead, same kind of coop make it thru the level with different phases or bosses along the way.
So far it's pretty fun mindless hack and slash action. I only have a few talents unlocked and a few jobs. Right now it's all very basic stuff, but hopefully it becomes more build focused at higher levels and at higher difficulties.
I don't intend to put a ton of hours into this game, so the progression system is a little grindy for me, but if you want to spend 1000 hours on this game, I'm sure you can, if you want to max out your build with all the right stats and passives and whatnot.
Imagine a game that gets consistently worse the more it's updated. That's vermintide 2. Hoping the dev team gets laid off so they don't make the game even worse than they already have.
If you liked the first, you'll like this one.
Anyway, this is basically what I guess you could call a L4D2 "clone". It's anything but though. It takes the formula and makes it its own thing. More melee oriented as well. Ranged has very limited shots comparatively. You have "hero powers" that recharge overtime. Has special game modes to change stuff up a little bit. Versus mode though.
Runs just fine on a 10 year old GTX 970 / i5 4690k combo. Framerate can get dicey in the hordes though.
Would recommend with friends. Much harder sell if you don't have anyone to play it with.
Excellent 1st person dungeon crawler to run with friends or solo with random people. Highly recommend to everyone I know AND internet strangers like yourself.
A medieval PVE game brimming with content, depth, and personality. Easy to enjoy, difficult to master. Incredibly satisfying combat with many different weapons and classes to test and master. 10/10 would buy again.
A very addictive horde game with fun first person combat. High replay value with devs who seem to care about their community.

Would be nicer if the quest maps were randomized but its all the same so there isn't much of a "surprise" after finishing all levels.
It's a good grind this level over and over and over to build up resources.
I don't like that there are buy this package too to unlock more. I'm annoyed that pay to win is in this game.
This game is great, it reminds me of playing LFD2, but with a spin on it. If you enjoy hacking and slashing games, with other elements; such as weapon upgrades and differing play style per-equipment, you'll love this game.
Do note, I have only played a limited time and haven't tried other aspects besides the game itself (mods).
Gotta say that this game is a great all rounder.

Fix your crap before releasing more half-assed content and skins because this is shovelware levels of bad, also just fire the people responsible for the balance changes, they are clearly just doing random stuff to pretend they are working and deserve their salary. If an ai replaced them, it would still be horrible, but it definitely wouldn't be worse because that would require training the ai specifically to be just as bad as the devs.
No more grinding multiple 15 minute matches to MAYBE get a decent chest to MAYBE get a red item that MAYBE is useful, how dust works in this game just shows how stupid the people behind this game truly are, the way you need to reforge hundred times the same weapon to MAYBE get the breakpoints you need so your weapon don't feel terrible to use is just insane, I don't know how it still works like this to this day and NO, giving more dust is not even close of being enough to fix it, literally another half-assed band-aid fix. (By the way, this is literally fixed in the weaves, but not the main game... No comments...)
If this was actually a "labor of love" game then this godawful progression would have been reworked and changed since the first week of the game, not to mention all the other problems that are just as bad or even worse... From someone that actually played this on multiple accounts for years and multiple versions, do not waste your money and time playing this shovelware.
I truly loved the game, but then I saw the problems and the only thing that kept me going was the hope the devs would fix it, that was years ago and instead of fixing anything they just kept adding more and more to the pile, at most they only ever did a few band-aid fixes that don't even work because of how dumb they are, imagine waiting years for proper fixes and only getting more problems and 2 or 3 half-assed band-aid fixes.
This game launched in a horrible state that can't stop bleeding players and still is to this day as the player counts show, but mark my words, the devs are going to make it even worse over time just like it has been happening for years. Vermintide 2 is just hype with no substance, also the community is full of gooch lickers that would gladly open their mouths if fatshark had a shortage of toilets.
Accurate simulator of Post-Brexit Britain. I actually felt very immersed in the streets of Birmingham in game that are modeled exactly like real life 👍
Game won't run past launcher because of anticheat. I get so absolutely sick of closing runtime brokers and background processes everytime I want to play this game. 80% it simply won't open- good luck if you have a windows or nvidea update autodownloading in the background. I will only change to a positive review if the anticheat issue is resolved.
Only cost me about £1.50 and got more than 40 hours out of it. Haven't had to buy any DLC to have fun, did buy an optional extra character for £4 but you can play all the DLC maps if you have friends with the DLC so there is no being locked out of things.
The game is pretty easy to begin with, but if you increase the difficulty too fast, expect to die a lot.
Lots of extras to find for completionists, lots of gear to be crafted for those types and a ton of enemies to kill if you like murdering.
All in all around a 7/10. For the price 10/10
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a continuation of popular series. The game is a fantasy 4 player coop game. The intense and thrilling gameplay, along with the teamwork required to battle hordes of enemies, made each session an exhilarating experience. The variety of characters and weapons available kept the game fresh and challenging.
The easy system requirements make this game popular. I play it on my Dell Latitude 5440 with Intel Xe graphics fine.
The game is very good, interesting mechanics for created funny build, very simple to learn, but about co-op I’ll tell you a fact, people’s average IQ on this thing is negative.
Be prepared to be insulted because YOU are still alive, or just new to the game and dont know what to do.
Play with friends, with bots, or TrueSolo with mods, but with randoms, most of the time, you have to carry these nurds while they trashtalk you cause they have no fun, and cry all the time.
If you like the feeling of Left 4 Dead, you will probably like this game. Personally, I did not care for Left 4 Dead, but i LOVE Vermintide! This game has everything you could want! Hordes of enemies, teamwork, high fantasy, fire, explosions, and more! I definitely recommend this game for anyone who is considering it or who is a Warhammer fan.
Definitely some of the most satisfying and addictive combat/gameplay in any game I've played.

Six and a half years in and this games replay ability is still unmatched. Difficulties and modes for all, game is still the whole package. Sure," vs mode" was a little late but its a statement by the dev to not abandon it and see it through. Relatively frequent content updates and patches so long past its prime contribute a major role in its longevity. This show's Fatsharks commitment to their fan base. Their non pay to win model also further pushes them ahead of much of the competition by keeping the games core values in mind. Things like teamwork/cohesion/situational awareness but mostly FUN. Frequent patches, mod friendly devs, friendly community combined with simple repeatable fun is a winning formula and the steam+metacritic reviews speak to this. Absolutely recommend if looking for a L4d style horde slaying co-op. 9/10 , this games a gem.
I can't recommend this game enough!
I've played Vermintide 2 on both Console AND PC for about 1,000 hours total and I can definitely say this game holds it's weight still to this day and never feels stale, the gameplay is both very dynamic and intense especially at higher difficulties.
I highly recommend picking up this game even if it's for Public Matchmaking or playing with friends, both are very enjoyable experiences and Vermintide 2 still has really great community members to meet in game.
This game also includes Character levelling, weapon customisation, weapon upgrading, Skill tree customisation, RNG loot drops and a crafting system for all those god roll weapons and accessory pieces if you're into all that stuff!
From it's fast paced combat and tricky situations on higher difficulties, randomly generated map Events such as enemy Patrols and Boss spawns, randomly generated item spawn locations, enjoyable Co-Op and Seasonal / Anniversary Events, every mission attempt feels different, to it's newly added PvP / Versus mode, definitely give this game a try!

simply a great game with friends, a dwarf, a witch, an elf, a bounty hunter, many weapons and a great cooperative
This game has really good fun team coop experience, i can say one of the best out there, there's also a lot to enjoy and with well written characters and dialog. Each maps full of cool details and atmosphere with satisfying combat mix of weaponry and magics. I think everyone should at least try it, just don't be a lone wolf and playing solo whole time, instead be a team player, especially if there are some new players along the way.
A fantastic co-op experience that shines even brighter with mods. While it has a few minor flaws, they're easy to overlook given the sheer amount of fun and content on offer. Fans of Warhammer will appreciate how faithfully it captures the setting, with well-written characters and engaging dialogue that add depth to the experience. One of the best co-op games out there!
game is way too difficult. jump from veteran to champion just feels too steep, even the weakest enemies will take you down in 4-5 hits
A very good multiplayer game set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battle.
It's pluses include:
- great graphics,
- diverse skill tree,
- many different character and classes,
- lots of cosmetic items,
- numerous maps and modes,
- the feeling of fighting with a real melee weapon.
The biggest downside of this game is too many opponents, which makes the game tiring and boring after a few maps. Fingers on the hand hurt from the constant pressing. This could have been solved much better and made a game like the first part of Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide. It was enough to make the battles with opponents more engaging by increasing their life bars and resistance to our blows while keeping fewer opponents. Instead, on the higher difficulty levels, we have big, minutes-long hordes in which we are buried by hundreds of opponents that repeat themselves with as much frequency as mosquito attacks in the summer by the lake.
I wish the game's creators would let players use the currency earned in the game to renovate the castle, which is a lobby, and not just to buy cosmetic items.
However, I can recommend the game with a clear conscience, especially to those who have friends willing to play together in co-operation.
Literally can never not have fun on this game, It's great singleplayer and Co-op, theres 20 classes pretty much so you can find the playstyle you want, and the talent tree may seem basic but it works so well, definitely recommend! just try not to lose track of time..... I know I have....
One of those games that entices players to return despite the years. Gameplay for most ages. Constant updates to prevent stagnation. Relatively forgiving community as long as basic decorum is observed. Enough fast pace to squeeze in matches during small amounts of free time. Most importantly, popular and memorable characters with enough personality to almost elevate the game on its own. Wait for a sale to buy this game and its DLCs at a large discount.
A game that you can keep coming back to, and is still getting both free and paid updates to this day.

Initially, I thoroughly enjoyed playing Warhammer: Vermintide 2. The intense and thrilling gameplay, along with the teamwork required to battle hordes of enemies, made each session an exhilarating experience. The variety of characters and weapons available kept the game fresh and challenging. However, recently I have become disappointed with the direction the developers have taken. The latest updates have significantly nerfed the abilities of characters and weapons I had purchased, making them less effective and not living up to initial expectations. These changes have diminished the enjoyment and engagement I had with the game. It feels like my time and money investment has not been appreciated. The developers' decision to continuously alter the mechanics that I once enjoyed has led to my loss of interest in continuing to play Warhammer: Vermintide 2. I hope they find a way to address these issues and restore the fun I once had with the game.

It's just a really well done first-person, party-based dungeon crawler. I don't understand why there isn't 100 clones of this format by now. Maybe it is difficult to do.
Make sure you have friends to play with, because the bots are absolute trash. Even on the easiest difficulty they don't do a thing.
Would not recommend for the for single/solo player.

I only played a few minutes of this game and I pretty much loved it. Gameplay story everything is amazing as usual with warhammer games. If you like warhammer and warhammer lore stuff then you should definitely get the game especially since it's on 90% sale right now
Love vermintide games! nothing to say about the hold feature.
But the NEW Versus feature is pretty bad
-played 5 games and once had a balance team member most of the time game end 0-290 or 60-200
-big time lag and people teleport everywhere
-super unbalance (don t know how but when i play, it looks like i don t do dps... fill verry wierd)
-some maps are to easy and some maps are just to hard to do anything.(some lvl design should be rework)
doesn't feel polish...
one of the best games ever was able to get it for just 2 dollars and the maps and combat is hella addicting. would recommend when on sale
