Step into the shoes of an FBI Recruit and be tested in a series of weapons simulation exercises. Each simulation is comprised of five short challenges featuring a variety of small weapons. At the end of each challenge you will be graded on your performance. Do you have what it takes to earn a Lethal rating?
Your abilities will be tested in 30 different challenges spread across 5 tiers of weapons simulation. You will need to demonstrate speed, precision, deadly accuracy and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Good Luck, Recruit!
Challenge Types include:
Quick Draw
Draw your weapon and fire! Successful candidates will need to demonstrate both speed and accuracy!
Knife Throw
Prove your skills in the ancient art of knife throwing. How many Bullseyes can you hit? Bonus Points will be awarded for multiple Bullseye chains. Skilled candidates can score multiple hits on each Target.
Sharpshooter
Put your firearm skills to the test in our specially designed 360 degree room scale VR Weapons Range. Targets will appear all around you, above and below. Bonus Points will be awarded for Speed Shots, Bullseyes and chaining Headshots together.
Rapid Fire
With a Weapon in each hand, how quickly can you destroy all of the Targets? Master the skills of Rapid Fire and Rapid Reloading. Watch for Penalty or Civilian Targets that may block your line of fire.
Combat
Practise your urban combat skills in our 360 VR room scale simulation version of Hogan’s Alley. Shooting over, under, through and around obstacles may require kneeling down or laying on the floor!
Your performance will be rated after successful completion of each challenge. Only the most proficient Recruits will be awarded a ‘Lethal’ rating. Recruit Candidates who achieve top ratings across all Simulations will be marked for fast tracking and promotion once this part of your training is complete.
Local Leaderboards will keep track of who are the most Lethal Recruit Candidates amongst your friends and family.
Earning a Rating in each Challenge will unlock special Bonus Challenges. These feature special weapon prototypes kindly on loan to us from our own Advanced Weapons Research Division. Hollywood thought they were merely fictional. But we’ve been developing special weapons like these for years. Use of these Weapons is strictly Bureau confidential, and as such, their existence must be kept secret. Remember! Loose Lips Sink Ships!

By modern VR standards, this is rather outdated and makes its claim of being a "Weapons experience" sadly somewhat laughable.
The main thing that is noticeably missing is manual reloads, which is something many VR games and even VR mods achieve.
In this game, you simply press the grip button/trigger to reload.
For its price, its not too bad especially if you get it on sale but i cant only really reccomend it but even then, i wouldn't say it worth it. Experienced VR users will find it limiting and lacking, and newer VR players like myself will be let down by it, taking some of that "First time in VR Magic" away. The only way i can see someone enjoying this is if they are ignorant of what other VR games have achieved since this games release.

Lethal VR is a shooting gallery game; Point Blank but takes itself a little too seriously. It's hard - the game play is very arcadey and it lacks the gun customisation compared to say Gun Club VR, but the game modes make this a bit more fun IMHO.
The only grip i have, is there isnt a shooting range, with options on targets, hardness and weapon swap. other than that, this has major potential to take up virtual cops mantel. i hope the creators will attempt more with this game. I mean they already have the Highnoon esk keeping the gun at the hip. so wheres the saloon shoot out? or the road with a tumble weed.... :D if you want theses things updoot this ! Solid game for standing still or in a small room. 11/10 replayability
Beware of abandonware
Controls really bad on Quest 2 via Air Link and doesn't look like they will be fixed any time soon
Last game update was in March 2017
Thank god like others have said this is like Point Blank VR. I love it. If you ever played Point Blank and loved it, you will like this game. I am running on a Rift S and it runs like a dream. So don't be put off that it says only Vive as it does run on the Rift S but I can't say for anything else. I picked it up on sale and I loved it from the start. No issued with motion controller for Rift everything worked as it should. I so recommend this game.
I really really REALLY like this game and the way it plays for a VR headset is soooo good! I got it for 3$ on sale but the problem is I have a Quest 2 and when I boot up the game wireless and through Virtual Desktop the game glitches and stays stuck at the beginning, no way around it from what I've seen.
Which sucks because I can play the game fine with my Quest 2 when it is tethered to my PC vis USB, problem being I'm tethered to my PC via USB and this game requires you to move. I can't beat kill house right now because I lose connection and miss a bad guy. Imagine trying to move 360 degrees with a wire in your headset. Not comfortable.
Other than that the game is great. Don't buy on a Quest 2 if you're wanting to play wireless though.
It was short and fun, my favorite kind, One complaint: it takes quite a lot of time to retry a level after failing it and i found it frustrating. Another minor problem is that in a pretty tight space and there were 2 or 3 times where i had problems getting an angle where i could touch the target. It hasn't a big deal though since it wasn't on time limited levels.
Played on the Valve Index
In short: This game is a fun target shooter that has very clearly aged with the early VR titles. The controls are very basic, and the knife throwing is extremely inconsistent. With the Index, the FPS is locked at 60FP regardless of the refresh rate used. This game can be completed in a couple of short sessions if you're determined. Only get it on sale, the current asking price ($15) is a bit steep for what you're actually getting.
Overall: Lethal VR feels like a relic of the early VR days that I never got to experience. The shooting feels pretty nice, but the physics are extremely inconsistent regarding projectiles (knife throwing). Reloading is limited to a button press as the game assigns your hands to weapons. There's actually very little interaction. This is a game about shooting targets and getting high scores, plain and simple.
If you're looking for mechanical depth, skip this title. If you're looking to top some scoreboards and run through some fun shooting range challenges, give this game a pick up. Don't expect too much content as compared to current titles (as of 2020). Another issue is the FPS lock, which feels really bad as an index user. The control scheme was definitely made for Vive wands or similar, so it took a little bit of time to get used to with the knuckles.
I have a large enough space to maneuver so this wasn't an issue, but there is a course where many people would need to step somewhat far out of bounds to hit some targets in the later levels. This can be a deal breaker and prevent you from progressing. If this is a non-issue for you, then you can ignore this.
Overall, I can recommend this game only on sale if you have some time to kill and want something to add to your VR library. I'd say it's pretty new-player friendly.
The game is a lot of fun, I even use it as a substitute for intuitive target shooting practice..instead or the real thing with expensive ammo and dangerous properties :)
Since they updated the game and player is now able to adjust the angle of the gun and level of detail, the game became much better.
I have way too many games, and way too many of them are unplayed. Today I did tested this Lethal VR, and what a gem was hiding in my library.
First few levels this seem to be just simple target practice, but there will be more weapons like knifes and single shot pistols. Gameplay feels just great, but notice that you probably need room scale setup to play some levels (like killhouse).
Oculus with Touch works just fine, first when you start you notice that pointing style is made for Vive, but you can change gun ange from settings (Touch owners would like it to be at 14 or so).
... I highly recommend this, even while it is target practicing, it is quite fun.
So simple, yet so fulfilling.
If you remember that wave of Team 17 games that graced the vintage years of the Amiga, then you'll see the same kind of craft that's gone in to Lethal VR.
It's just no thrills fun to play.
The game is good in general, the look, the feel, and the concept is good. I do enjoy part of the games
However,
1) The game require large gamespace. Some target hide behind the wall, and if you do not have enough space, there is no way you can hit the target. Now this is a bug. If you cannot hit the target, the game stay (even the time has end to 00) there is no exit, so basically you have to stay there, piss off and finally restart the steam VR to get out of the game (there is no exit of the mail game either)
2) Throwing knives is the worst thing I ever play. With WMR I cannot not throw any knife to the correct direction. I have passed the first couple level of throwing knife, but because of my luck. I have not idea how I could get to the target. The knife itself, sometime fell on the floor and will not get back to my hands. This feature makes me mad at the game. There are some level, if you cannot pass the knives part, you could not move on to the game and that's it you are stuck
I have post on the discussion room that we should move the knives to separate section, so people like me can enjoy the whole shooting game.
When the knives issue get fixed or when the development team do something about the knives part, I will get back and change my review to YES. Otherwise I leave it NO to get people attention
As a discount price, I would say it is fair price, since I only can play half of the game (the shooting part)
Please let me know if you need more detail
Thanks
I am new to Steam and VR. I was curious if this game would work in Windows Mixed Reality. It seems like a lot of games will work but some do not. Thankfully Steam has a good return policy if things don't work out.
Lethal VR looks and works great in WMR! I only had one hang up where it would not progress in the initial knife throwing tutorial. I quit and restarted the game and it worked flawlessly after that.
Thanks Three Fields, I am really enjoying this!
Decent graphics and very fun if you like the target shooting type of games. You even get to throw knives! However, some angles and release points on the knives can be a little tricky if not down right goofy.
You get single handed weapon levels and duel handed level weapon challenges with both guns and knives.
This is a very solid game and offers 360 immersion in the game. It's not just look forward and shoot or throw. You have to look all around and above you on some levels. If you can't find the target...look up!
I bought this on sale for $3.74 and you just can't beat a game like this for that kind of money. Honestly, it's even worth it at full price. One of the first things I look at are reviews on games so I am trying to review all the games that I get to play.
So the short of it is purchase this game. Very solid, 360 degree immersion and pretty darn fun. No brain power required just point and shoot!!
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers

This is absolutely one of my favorite gun range games in VR. It's simple, arcade fun that will bring back memories of arcade light gun games. Action is fast-paced and replaying levels is quick and easy. Keep in mind, you will need a full room-scale setup to get past a few of the levels. You can also set the gun angle in the settings to set it to your preference.
Game ran smoothly. However, I did experience two crashes during my playtime. I finished the game (completed each level at least once) in 1.5 hours. Climbing to the top of the leaderboards would probably take a lifetime for me.
I would have liked to seen a wider variety of weapons as there are only a few used. I didn't really like using the SMG because it felt like an inaccurate handgun, but without the extra sense of power in my hands. Some people have complained about the throwing mechanic, but it seemed alright to me.
Keep in mind, this game is not going for realism. It's going for quick, arcade action .. and it succeeds in that regard.
Rate 7.5/10. Got it on sale back in 2017 for $3.74 USD and it's still the same price during the Steam Summer Sale 2019 ... but it's still a good deal.
Excellent quick shooter. If you are a competitive shooter and like practicing your quick draw and plinking, this is the sim for you. It’s a lot of fun. The gun models are rather large in size and simplified. If you handle weapons a lot, you will notice the scale and mechanics feel a bit off and more arcade like (at least for the pistols) than other tactical VR shooters out there. It’s the only quirk I have with this game. The 9mm Beretta you shoot with in most of the pistol rounds looks and feels like a water gun. It’s about the size of a Desert Eagle which feels rather odd when holding and looking down the iron sights. The strength of this game is the wide variety of targets and levels they offer. This is where it appears they focused the most. I really enjoy the randomness and unpredictable nature of each of the levels in this game. Its a great tool to hone in your skills with the various rapid fire training exercises they provide. I just wish the scale and attention to detail in the firearms and the interfaces you were reading were more polished (the menus and textures to the weapons are very basic). I always enjoy the polished details some of the developers put into these games. I look forward to see where they go with this sim. I highly recommend it. If you are into competitive shooting and you are borderline about getting this game. Just go ahead and buy it. It’s a heck of a lot of fun, and a great addition to any VR shooter collection.
This is the best shooting range type of game I've ever played. It's a better Police Trainer from the arcades. It's a 360 degree game with lots of different weapons. To me, it's a must-buy.
Fun! The gun's angle are way too high though. I acutally got this to help train for other FPS (onward for example).
And It will of course work on reflex and target finding. But the angle means that musle memory wont be right.
This asside, Its a fun game! I am only at the second statge of challenges (spent all my time on the first trying to get the highest ranking possible) but I can already see this being addictive!
Great excercise too!
Really fun game so far but I did feel compelled to write a quick review due to one issue I had.
There's a knife throwing stage that forces you to move to the extreme boundaries of your room setup due to a target placed behind a window on the extreme left. If you have what I would consider an average size room setup, for me that's 2.4 x 2.6 meters, this could be an issue for you. The major problem with it is the very nature of the knife throwing, obviously requiring quite a fast movement with your arm stretching out, and with there being no way to teleport (that I have found) you will find that you may hit something in the real world if you want to make that throw. For me that object was a 55inch Sony Bravia but luckily I got away with it, no damage done as I realised my mistake and was able to pull my arm away to lessen the impact. If you're required to move to the extremes of your boundaries then a teleport function is desperately needed to avoid potentially costly mishaps. I've not seen any warnings before purchasing this game so I wanted to make people aware of that. If it was a gun stage the issue wouldn't be so bad as you're not throwing your gun at the target, or at least you shouldn't be ;)
Other that that I'm really enjoying the experience and I'll return to add more to this when I've played more.
Simple enough target shooting game, like the Arcade level on H3VR expanded on but without the large arsenal of guns or the customisation or weapon manipulation.
The knive throwing is an utter crapshoot though, aiming with those things is frustrating. A more minor annoyance is the grip angle of pistols is way off compared to controllers so pointing and shooting with the m9s is not natural at all.
I'd give it a 6/10
Too many menus, menus are slow to navigate, transitions between games are slow, local leaderboards only, aliasing everywhere.
On the plus side, shooting the gun feels nice.
