Персонаж
В начале игры ты создаешь собственного персонажа с уникальным набором качеств. Ты выбираешь как детали его внешности, чтобы прочувствовать мир в стимпанк-стилистике, так и уровень отдельных ремесленных и боевых умений. Выбирай, кем хочешь быть и прокачивай нужные навыки - собирая ресурсы, создавая предметы и взаимодействуя с окружающим миром.
Игровой мир
Ты оказался на острове архипелага Акрибо, и тебя окружает таинственный мир Саол. Прогулка по острову может быть небезопасной – кроме тебя тут обитают не только дикие животные, но и другие игроки, готовые защищать свою территорию. Чтобы выжить тебе придется быстро освоиться и начать собирать все, что ты сможешь найти – а это более 250 различных ингредиентов для крафта орудий и сооружений.
Секреты Акрибо
Все самое ценное на острове надежно спрятано - в земле, в лесу, в горах. Недра богаты ископаемыми, но их нужно уметь искать и добывать. Особенно интригующим может быть поиск редчайшего растения Селебриум - главной ценности этого мира. Тебя ждут 45 видов растений и животных, 30 видов полезных ресурсов – и это еще не все, что скрывает этот загадочный остров.
Твои возможности
Ты сам определяешь, чем заняться в этом мире - какие навыки прокачивать, какие сооружения строить и какой стиль игры выбрать. Но любой прогресс придется заработать. Можно развиваться быстрее, объединившись с другими игроками. Создав гильдию, ты сможешь успешно противостоять врагам, защищать свои владения и даже получать трофеи. Сильная команда, развитая промышленность и передовая техника – вот секрет твоего превосходства на сервере.

its sad how steam lets developers take the money and run
its like getting your paycheck without even doing the job
dam....I nerver expected this...I was hoping a fun and maybe buggy experience but ....i can't even play the game....and now it's even been remooved by the store....really makes me sad to think that developpers would just abandon theire own creation and leave it to rott....
I supported this game early on as it was a neat concept. Controls were difficult early on but I gave it time to develop. Very dissapointed to see it turn into a cash grab. The game cannot be played. Official servers are shut down and cannot be played on. The game won't allow private servers to run so single player is dead too. This should not be listed for sale since it is no longer supported. Anyone who buys this right now should be refunded as they are being duped into thinking its a playable game.
This game is a scam paid a lot of money for this and the devs took the money and ran away.
This game had one update over its lifetime, it is abunch off assets slaped togheter.
How do we hold Devs accountable for not delivering a finnished product. This whole trend of Alpha and Beta games is causing Gaming to become toxic to the consumer.
Cant seem to get a refund on this as it was bought a long time ago.
Disappointed. As a fan of all things steampunk and a lover of building/crafting games, I bought this even though the reviews were mixed. Installed, started it up and after the 7 minute startup I was ingame. Looked at a tree, harvested....cool. Then locked up moving. Restarted, locked up examing a tree. Went to the forums and I see it is just another one of those 'update at sales once a year' zombie programs that Steam allows (since they get their cut too). Filed for a refund.
Never really cared for steam (I prefer install media), but I am starting to like it even less with their tolerating shady devs and pocketing their share of the take.
This game has been abandoned. They only do very small updates (30mb) around summer sales to "act" like the game is still being developed.
Sadly they have already moved on and are making yet another game to take your cash and run. The website has been down for ages so no way to contact them. The developers profile is set to friends only so you have no way to contact them.
They have also resorted to planting the developers friend (yes he's on the developers friends list) to try and stir up false hope to get more money during the summer sale. Funny enough its a lvl 0 profile with again.....no way to contact them.
Don't believe me......look here at the new game they are making.

Plus thier plant made a "glowing positive review" on the game, but has turned off comments so they can not be proven wrong AGAIN like they already have been on the forums.
Crooked Developers that I still don't understand why Steam Allows this game to be sold
Last 'official' update was one year ago and was a small ~30 mb update that did nothing that happened at the same time of the last STEAM summer Sale. The last major update that actually did anything was months before that.
Since that update, nothing, no updates, no responses from the DEV that to bugs, issues, the website went offline...and then today they pop up and say,.....hey everyone An Update Just Happened, and the Public Servers are online and the Game is now 4.99 (USD).....
F*CK them and you're F*CK'ed if you so much as put a dollar into this game. STAY AWAY
We should be able to get our money back from devs that do things like just abandoning what promised to be such a great game. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. YOU WILL COMPLETELY WASTE YOUR MONEY AND IT WONT WORK. THERE ARE ZERO WORKING SERVERS.
This game has been abandoned. From what I've heard in discussions, public servers aren't even up anymore. Last update was almost a year ago, so I don't know where these random positive reviews are coming from lately. Decided to give my imput since it's shocking this game doesn't have overly negative reviews at this point. Do not buy this game, do not listen to the positive reviews that just excuse it, being in "Early Access" doesn't excuse almost a year of no updates or communication. Before that, barely anything was updated as it was. If you want to see for yourself, go look at the discussions, and their news feed. I had no issue with the gameplay, I like grindy survival games, but paying twenty dollars for something that feels like a mod of Life is Feudal that has been abandoned, is not my idea of a good experience. If you are interested, just wait and follow their news feed to see if they ever come back, because at this point, this seems a bit fishy.
Do not buy! It seems the developers have decided to walk away from the game. It is a great idea that will never happen because the developers are scammers.
This game is dead. It has not been updated in months. This was clearly just a cash grab and it should be a Crime that steam allows these games to be sold in their marketplace. Just a quick cash grab for Steam, and the team that published this game. Their website is even down.
Not a bad game overall. But when the major glitches leave you logges in for days, unable to actually play. Rather disconcerting. I only played roughly 1-2 hrs. Due to the game not actually closing when i was done. It accumulated 60+ hrs of playtime. I would give this game a more thorough review when i'm actually able to play it without game breaking bugs.
with almost 100 hours in this game i could write a lengthy review, but i will save your eyes from a wall of text. I will just say i cannot recommend this game after 4 months of no updates for a very early access game (which is very odd). Most EA games recieve multiple updates within the first month of life. I Feel the devs took our money stopped development and laughed at us all the way to the bank. this is the last EA title i will ever buy. #NeverAgain
I see people are still buying this game, a full year after i posted this review. STOP AND READ REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING INTO THIS SCAM. The game has been dead and abandoned by its devs since its release, a fake update was released in June 2018 to further scam people out of money. Honestly valve needs to do this community a service and remove this garbage from steam to prevent these scumbags from scamming anyone else, i mean they release a fake update to scam more people a year after they duped all of us. there is no other word for these people except scum.

The game has some good concepts and has a boat load of potential but the devs have long since given up on it. Vote with your wallet and let them know you dont appriciate this behaviour!
On that note, i think for nearing unplayable unfinished trash like this steam should have a refund policy. Perhaps that would deter devs from just dumping and running the moment they get something green lit?
This game could have had alot of potential, but now they don't even have the webpage up anymore. Seems totally dead and abandoned. I can't recommend this game at all. Such a shame too. :/

I've played for about 12 hours. The game suffers from SERIOUS quality of life problems. Maybe its more realistic that i have to repair a wood saw after sawing roughly 100 boards, but its definitely not fun. Also I'm pretty sure a saw could cut more than 100 log but maybe thats cause it was a low grade saw...idk. The repair kits to repair your buildings feel useless. seems like i'd need like 5 to repair one. might as well build a whole new work bench. tooks break fast at low lvls but seem to get better in quality as you go. The in game help needs major work but that was expected. Find herbs was hell until i learned to turn ground clutter off by lowering grass loading range. After my smelter and workbench both broke at the same time I decided i was done until they polish a bit more. Lots of potential but not a lot of fun. Building stuff is fun. Upkeep is not. Compared to other games in the genre, like ark, or empyrion (omg potential on that one), it just feels like they need to tweak a few things. Also how do like 5 pounds of materials become a 55 pound repair kit? Alchemy skill too high? Also they stopped working, even after repaired.
I purchased the game because the genre seems fun. Airships and etc. But I feel it would share the same problem as ark on a official server. Lots and lots of time invested for very little overall pay out. The good news is that most of the obvious pitfalls the game has could be corrected easily in time. Heres hoping the people running the show, run it right. Will not recommend atm but thats subject to change. I think i'm a lil salty still after finishing a big building, hitting build...then all my materials disappearing and it wanting me to start again.

I'm only a few hours in.
SH has a deep crafting system. It's reasonably polished, but feels slightly clunky somehow. Some resources are also more deeply defined than most games, where a resource, like wood, may be of varying quality and yield different amounts of wood and timber.
Time to accomplish a task is metered... and to me seems unbalanced currently. For example, it takes about as much time to cut a log by a soft (copper) hand saw, as it takes with an iron bladed table saw. For realisms sake, a table saw should be about 10x faster.
BUGS
Crafting is a little buggy at times. If you close the crafting window during the craft, you don't get the item, even though the time (and fuel) used to make it are consumed.
I've recently found that the furnace lighting procedure can result in closing the crafting window. That's past frustrating.
The terraforming tools are shockingly ineffective, and making a patch of level ground is difficult to impossible anywhere where the ground isn't nearly flat perfectly flat to begin with. I think the devs really need to rethink this entire part of gameplay.
I Recently found oranges, but could not pick them.
Perhaps this is not a bug, but I found that weather frequently turns to crap, and stays that way. It may be that you log in with certain weather conditions, randomly chosen (and not held over from the last save). The weather seems to stubbornly remain the same
throughout the session.
So far, I like it... bugs aside, progress can be made.
Looking forward to more updates.
TL;DR Fun if you like complexity, challenge and research mechanics. Not going to work for casual gamers who unfortunately became the majority.
This game is a pleasant surprise for me. I probably like it for the wrong reasons but I am so sick and tired of streamlined games where everything is explained and so easy that challenge in Steam Hammer is a very welcome change. Trying to figure out what to do, how things work, explore the world and game mechanics struck a right chord in me. Somehow all this figuring out reminded me of complex strategies where you don't start from simple things and have to read up a lot until you know what to do. If you like good old hardcore games, this might be right up your alley. Also, I spend almost an entire hour walking around and looking at everything - it was like a meditation with very nice music.
That's all for plusses. As for minuses, it's a bit tedious. I see in other reviews that not everyone seems to like it but for me it's again not so bad, maybe for my deep dislike of easy games.
This is a review of an early access game. It is rough around the edges; the UI needs work, and a lot of visuals are unpolished. The playable map itself is too small an area. There is no hiding that it feels like it is in late alpha stage, but these things are to be expected.
Underneath the rough exterior is a real gem of a game. I really enjoy the depth of crafting this game offers, it's not easy, but it is complex.
This is a unique treat for any fans of the steampunk genre, because it is just dripping in it. Nowhere else offers a place where you can create and live in such a detailed steampunk world. I personally look foward to the day I can create my own airship. This is a must buy for any steampunk fans out there!
Nice setting, but I expected more. Currently it's not worth the 28 €.
Cons:
- The map feels kinda empty and is missing details
- Animation and sounds not matching sometimes
- Very slow paced (like LiF:YO)
- Blackscreen of Death when playing in fullscreen and trying to Alt+Tab or when generating a new world
- No female character-models yet. The 4 available male-faces are ugly af! 2nd race not really implemented (also not going to win any beatuy competitions)
- unmoveable progressbar right in the middle of the screen :O

- Crafting and building
- has multiplayer ;)
Wait a little bit longer before purchasing :)
This is just a reskinned version of the game Life is Feudal: Your own (LiF:YO). With all negative aspects.
1. It's not a massively multiplayer game. LiF never became one.
2. Map is very small. Basically it's only for one or two groups of people.
3. Too much grind. Do you want a steampunk airship? Well, maybe after a couple of weeks of intense grind. And only if you have someone to help you out.
4. Skillsets are vague and limited. Like it's not enough just wasting time grinding your skills. There is a total skill level cap which will force you to re-grind your skills when you'll reach it. And every time when your group members will come and go.
5. The gameplay is clunky and jagged. It's just doesn't feel comfortable to play.
6. GUI is very primitive. With lots of different actions it's reasonable to expect some kind of customization and automation. There are none.
Basically, both this game and LiF:YO are just an engine demo. This game is also an attempt to sell same junk in a different wrap for second time.
Don't buy.
