I really enjoyed Eisenwald but I have to say Blood of November was a disappointment. Its very short and doesn't contain the interesting stories that captivated me from Legends. The main storyline is only a handful of quests. I found the few side quests that were available were more interesting than the main quest. The first thing I did was build a powerful enough squad and stack up some cash once you do that you can save and reload to play the 3 sides faster. You end up just having to capture castles and hold them which gets boring as small squads/patrols take them again and you just circle the map re-taking locations until the game progresses to the end.
Gameplay becomes whack-a-mole quickly.
You capture castle, you move away. Enemy party spawns and recaptures it. Now imagine doing that with 10 castles.
That is what the game is like. Disappointing.

Plays games to get away from IRL politics
This game is a straight up and continual reference to IRL politics, and is SUPER cringey. Just play the original Legends of Eisenwald and the workshop scenarios if you want more.
I'll probably finish it, but that's because I enjoy the base game mechanics and have literally nothing else to play right now.
This game is a superb medieval style game... definitely very well worth every penny you spend to buy this game... super cool! 7 stars out of 5 stars!

Games do not get saved and therefore some quests have to be replayed over and over. very annoying. |Apart from having to begin the game with 300 to build an army its impossible to try and win a castle. pathetic to say the least.
It's kind of a choose your own adventure game. Some parallels to current events but set in the distant past. Fun afternoon of playing.
It's good but probably the least favourite of the Eisenwald games. The story is a medieval take on the American presidential elections... which I do not follow by choice. I kinda got the point here and there cause you gotta live in a tower not to hear of certain things but I preferred the legends and the magic feel of the main campaign to this. Basically its a lot of 'not my thing' wrapped a medieval setting.
That said: I enjoyed it. It was worth it. It didn't rock my world like the main campaign or the Road to Iron Forest.
I’d recommend it only if you played the main game and wanted a bit more exploration and combat.

If you like the Legends of Eisenwald game and its combat system, and you like sandbox, open map, games, this is a good game. Who cares about the politics, honestly I might not have even noticed them if reviewers hadn't mentioned it. But because they did, I put off playing this game after I purchased it for a long time. I regret that now. As I just played it all weekend, and it is great fun.
A standalone expansion for Eisnwald that isn't as good as the main game,the scenario sin't that great and the whole Trump vs Hillary parody just doesn't work
I love legends of Eisenwald and if you haven't played it then i recommend you give it ago.
Blood of November the game story is entertaining enough if you like a bit of political satire. Choose who to fight for Trump, Clinton or Putin. Unfortunately the game towards the second half turns into a wack a mole chase never ending spawning enemies around the map that scale up in power making some fights very difficult. This monotony carries on till you reach a certain game date.
Gets boring pretty fast. Has some terrible balance issues. If you still want to try it, get it when its <$5
Unlike origina Legends of Eisenwald which included a campaign across several maps, here you have only one (large) map and the gameplay near the end is really tedious. You need to control the most castles on November 8th and there is no way to skip to this date if you control everything already, so you just wait on max game speed and hunt respawning brigands. On the other hand, the enemy forces respawn too, so you'll have a very difficult fight until you level up your troops a bit and capture their city - then the endless enemy forces almost stop.
Hint: don't try to garrison captured castles. Respawning enemies are so strong they will capture them anyway and you'll lose time and resources spent for garrisoning troops. Just re-capture the castles and kill the enemy warbands when you can. When you have a strong band, go for the enemy city.
Play the original Legends of Eisenwald instead - it is a superior game with a decent story. Unfortunately, developers commented making a campaign requires too much resources, thus this game is like a cut down sandbox.
The Legend of Eisenwald is one of my favorite games. This game however, does a disservice to the spirit of Eisenwald. This stand alone DLC is just a single map scenario, where the devs use the toolset to crack a political joke about the 2016 election. This may have been relevant during the election season, but a year later I've had my fill of Trump and Clinton.
My fear is that folks will buy this as a cheaper alternative to Legend of Eisenwald, which would be a huge mistake. The great lore and storytelling is an integral part of this game, and when you sacrifice that for a political joke, the game becomes a mediocre tbs at best.
I would gladly pay 7.50 for a well crafted Eisenwald scenario, but this is not one.
Probably one of the most frustrating DLC type games I ever played. First part was fun going around and capturing castles, building up your army and doing quests. But then you get to play ring around the map, chasing down bad guys who just appear out of thin air and take your castles. Why did they mess with the original game concept where it was more of a story and less of a fight fest. The last 5 hours of game play on this was the developers prolonging the game with 100's of fights over and over against the same castles / resources you took before. Very disappointed.
I liked original game pretty much. But not this one.
Humor is not to my taste, and I think idea to mix good medieval setting with modern politics is just bad.
And without interesting plot game is just boring for me.
Wonderful game, a great addition to Legends of Eisenwald. Really big map and a lot of things to do. Taking over enemy castles initially was hard but it was because I tried to capture them all. I changed my strategy and started taking a few and protecting them and it worked much better. Once I captured all, enemies stopped respawning, and I needed to defend my lands only against a few raubritters.
Side quests are good, many have a nice touch of humor. I really liked Underwater Bees, I think it's hilarious :) Political references are nicely done as well, not sure what others complain about. You can forget about it after all and treat it lile any other story, stories tend to repeat themselves century after century. Other pluses are:
+ Plenty of enemies to max out your army.
+ Patrol in your castle - I brought them to max level and they were able to defend my castle twice against rogue knights! It's worth training them often.
+ Autumn scenery. I wish original LoE had some of them, looks really nice.
+ Interesting quests that make you think and explore the lands.
+ Huge map, I think it's the size of the biggest map in LoE.
+ Enemies respawn stonger. I captured all castles about a week before November 8 and chased a few bandits. Some of them got so strong I lost a battle. Don't chase bandits with skill ambush in forests, they will destroy you in the first round.
There are a few minuses though:
- Saves related crashes. After a few ones I read up on forums and found that it's best to use quick save (F5) or rename standard names. For some reason, standard names saves are very likely to cause crashes.
- No endless mode. I know it's one map smaller game but I can't help wishing for some random quest generation and armies respawn. I realize it might become boring but it would be so cool to enjoy for a while a victory and rule over my lands with an iron hand :)

8/10. There are some dialogue issues where a question is asked and the yes/no doesnt fit, but all and all it is a fun game to play.
The Ice Crone is Hillary Clinton, Deiter is Donald Trump. Seriously, do the introduction quests and when Deiter talks about building a wall around the whole kingdom and keeping criminals and rapist southerners (Mexicans) and Saracens (Muslims) out, and then meet the corrupt Ice Crone and her corruption and likelihood of war with the "Muscovites" (Russia) and support for the Northern Treaty (TPP Deal) as well as her cheating husband and the "Saracen Beauty" they even named Huma after her aide Huma Abedin in real-life, you'll know you're choosing Donald or Hillary in this scenario - Which is hilarious. I can't wait to see both sides' endings as neither can be good for the country, just like in real life. Political inside jokes aside, this scenario is actually quite fun.
