Pros:
Great mechanics
Good AI
Tons o' guns
Cheapish
Lots o' gamemodes
Vehicles
Cons:
Nobody plays it anymore
Not enough bam (see what I did there?) for your buck
Verdict:
This is a great game, but no one plays it anymore. I would recommend Pavlov VR or Onward VR instead. DO NOT BUY.
Oh. My. God. This game is basically one of the best games I've EVER gotten for VR. You can play online with other players, or you can play in an arena with bots in Offline Mode. One thing that is interesting about this game is that you can drive Jeeps and fly helicopters! Very uncommon for a VR shooting game! There's also mini-games, where you can be stranded in a forest and have to survive by shooting monsters, a place where you can test drive the Jeeps and test fly the helicopters. Some arenas (key word: some) have the vehicles. You can also play the tutorial again if you still need to get the basics down. If you've been looking for a VR shooting game like Call of Duty or Battlefield, this is the game.
This is a great game. My friends and I have had some great fun just messing around and it has some really interesting game modes. I don't think this game gets enough love from players. You simply can't beat the price for the amount of fun this game is!
This is by far my favorite shooter on VR. It's not the super tactical wanna-be-military shooter that Onward is (love the game, but players need to chill out) but B.A.M has a manual kit system like Onward. The modular system lets you manually kit out your weapon and place it anywhere in the 6 "bubble" regions on your person. It also has a "sling" feature that keeps the weapon you chose in the correct spot if you want to quick swap between weapons. The maps are also more open. Unlike the whiny-kid-shooter, Pavlov, which really only has 3 lanes and a significantly smaller weapon choice.
Bullets and More seems like the way towards a VR version of Call of Duty or Battlefield. Sadly, more people are playing Pavlov and getting screamed at by 12 year olds or playing Onward and being told to “sod off” by a crusty old English dude, than they are this game. The side games are fun and it will keep you entertained for a while, but you can only crush BOTs for so long before the fun wears off.
I never write reviews because I don't care enough for people to know my opinion ( a rarity these days), but for this game I felt it was worth it. It's a solid game and lots of fun, but has no one to play with. Hope this review helps.
I've been trying a lot of VR games, both well established and some in early alpha, and I always find myself comparing them to BAM. When I first started playing, I didn't appreciate how customizable the game is, tweaking your settings is a huge deal in VR, and most games don't even get basic movement right.
Every gun has moving parts, reloading and racking feels great, and just the sounds the guns make are nice. There are a couple of attachments for the guns, but the fact you can place them where you want rather than them snapping in place is great.
This game is just fast paced, pure fun. It might look like it's made of cardboard cutouts, but the game mechanics probably feel the best of any VR game i've played yet. For now at least, this is my gold standard for judging other games.
There are helicopters and you can fly the helicopters. Buy this game. Buy it now. Do not hesitate. Do not question. Buy this game and fly these helicopters.
It's not quite as serious as Onward, and it's not quite as arcade as Pavlov. It has the rig system of Hotdogs where you get bubble slots and pick for yourself where you keep your equipment. Manual attachment system similar to Hotdogs. Bipods. Loads of maps. Helicopters.
There are multiple game modes- classics like DM/TDM/CTF, newer ones like Battle Royale, and even stuff I've never seen like Infected where one player spawns in with special powers and has to either infect other players to win or the other team kill the infected to win.
And there are vehicles, not just helicopters but other vehicles too, and also helicopters.
Seriously, the helicopters are so fun to fly.
Not necessarily saying it does all the things *better* per se, but it takes some of the best features from the best 3 VR shooters currently available, bundles them all into one game, and then adds extra game modes and vehicles.
I really can't for the life of me fathom why this game has such a small player base.
Please buy it. Everybody buy it. Buy it for you and then buy it for your friends too. This game would be a serious contender as the top multiplayer VR game if only people actually played it. Until then, there are bots to play with. There are shooting ranges. There are breaching ranges. It's as fleshed out as a single player game as Hotdogs, but with support for multiplayer once it actually gets a playerbase. So just buy it and kill bots while you wait for everyone else to catch on to what an absolute gem this game it.
What trickery is this !
I bought this game while on sale just to collect it to my library.
But when I try this one out, This game really surprise me.
I got the vibe like Minecraft, not crafting but Sandbox vibe.
You get A LOT of Shooting.
• Tons of Guns
• Great gun mechanics
• Variety of Gun Mod to D.I.Y.
After hours, I dig deep into TDM in d2 map (like de_dust in Counter Strike)
I really enjoy it, feels like playing CS. The advantage, you can now respawn.
A fast pace shooting VR.
Also, BOT SUPPORTS !
Feels like a noob ? Practice your skill with Shooting Range, Breach Training.
I usally warm up with these maps before I jump in.
Also, STEAM WORKSHOP !
@!*^, This game support too much.
The Con.
Very few people're playing. WHY ??? WHYYY ????
I usually see 7-8 same old faces everyday at US,EU server.
A bit fuxked up AI.
Graphic is Great, but placed object is not satisfied.
9/10

Favorite VR shooter. The controls are a good balance between SIM and arcade. PAVLOV is good, Standout is good; but BAMVR has more game modes than those combined.
My biggest gripe with the game is lack of community I hope that changes now that it's out of EA.
Ive spent more time in this game than in any other Shooter on VR. Absolutely glorious!
Pros:
Lots of Guns, all accurately modelled and plenty of attachment options (not quite on par with H3VR)
Big Map Selection
Lots of Game Modes
Built-in Editor
Always games available in the US
Great Fun even at higher pings (for playing overseas)
Solid weapon reloading thats just forgiving enough to make it manageble under fire
Options out the wazoo!
Cons:
Graphics are a little stark. Everything is very bright
Bot support on some maps does not really work well for the game mode (CTF not capturing flags, Random weapons in Gun Game etc)
Odd performance issues on certain maps
Overall :
An absolutely fantastic gun game. The best of them all combined. Realistic weapons and mechanics with fast paced gameplay, easy to use controls and smooth stable multiplayer
I own a Protube VR gunstock and this game is amazing with it. I find myself spending a long time in the timed gun shooting minigame just enjoying the weapons and getting high scores!
If you like shooting, don't even think, just buy
I regret that I bought all the other famous mp shooters first, just because I read posts by some people pulling BAM to pieces. In the end, this is the only game for which I don't feel the urge to get my money back.
Things I value most, which this game offers/does well:
- Offline Singleplayer Mode
- weapon handling (aiming, reloading, attaching mods) // I know this sounds like fanboy talk but BAM's weapon handling feels the most realistic to me out of all the mp shooters
- "Smooth Rotation" option for VR-legged people
- great level editor to make your own maps
- thanks to this editor there are already over 150 user made maps for all kinds of game modes in the Steam Workshop
Things that would increase the fun a ton:
- high quality weapon sounds
- better ground and grass textures
- upgrade to Unity's (Game Engine) most recent lighting model or at least some sort of post fx to cover up the ugly default lighting
---
Some additional info:
In my personal opinion the Holo Gun minigame is so much more enjoyable than the Steam game "Holopoint". The difficulty in Holo Gun is way lower at earlier levels and it is a blast to have multiple dozens of weapons at your disposal, including a bow. This mode alone will hardly ever get boring.
I didn't expect to like this game, to be honest. From the moment I saw Pavlov, I figured [Pavlov] was a much better fit for me, and judging from online footage, the visuals and audio certainly needed work in BAM's earlier versions. In a surprise twist, Bullets and More is by far my favorite VR game, topping everything from Robo Recall to H3VR. I really didn't expect to say that any time soon, but seven hours of BAM later, I regret not buying this sooner. I bought Pavlov a few weeks ago, and while it was plenty of fun, the lack of variety got to me in the end. I'll still check in from time to time, but it really needs some more content to be something I could play regularly.
BAM, on the other hand... well, it blew away my expectations in every regard. The developer is highly active and trying many new things with the base game, adding all sorts of modes. Multiplayer lobbies end up feeling highly connected, with the 5-12 players you may encounter frequently communicating or talking about just about anything, as the match voting system seamlessly has everyone moving on in a minute. The handling mechanics feel accurate yet accessible to new players, there's a wide variety of training areas and singleplayer content to get a new player ready for online, and there's several game modes to pick from with exponentially more maps. I paid $15, and the amount of high-quality content here is absurd.
Now, let's backtrack to accessibility. You have a wide variety of options depending on your setup, regardless of which HMD you went with. Oculus Touch and HTC Vive are both supported very well. You have access to several different locomotion options as well; Oculus-friendly snap-turning, choppy teleportation, JOYSTICK MOVEMENT (thank you), and even some experimental "gamepad" support for peripherals can be enabled freely. Pretty much every VR-related option you could ask for is present and accounted for, and all in working order with control layouts that make sense.
I just want to make this clear: I'm going to bash the game in the next paragraph. It really isn't a big deal, but I just want to get this out of the way. Don't listen. Buy it anyway.
ALL THE CRAP YOU SHOULDN'T READ:
=====
First of all, there's a pretty huge visual difference between the two titles. Pavlov runs on Unreal Engine 4, and visually, it's quite nice. Nothing incredible, but visuals are serviceable and optimization is generally fine. BAM, on the other hand... well, it's a Unity game, and the visual quality can vary quite a bit. Some maps end up being far more demanding than others, and in some of the more proof-of-concept type maps, the graphics are just awful, with small texture tiles and flat "grass" surfaces galore. The gun sounds are generally good, but some of the more powerful weapons end up sounding very flat. It's jarring coming from any AAA title, and especially rough coming from H3VR, but hopefully they'll be addressed.
Overall, it's not the worst thing in the world. A lot of it is just me coming from other VR games, namely H3VR's highly refined/authentic audio presentation and Pavlov's clean UE4 visuals.

Overall, BAM VR is a must have. It'd be dishonest for me to say anything otherwise. If you don't own an HMD yet, this is the kind of killer app that would make the Oculus Rift + Touch worth its price of admission alone.
bought this for battle royale, am not dissapointed. this shit is really impressive. PUBG in VR, litterally. Only thing, there needs to be a way for all dead players across the lobbies to choose quickly to play in a new game with other dead players if they want too so you dont have to wait 10 mins to play again, just get right back in on the action. Im very impressed by this, its so much fun. buy this now!
Guess after 130 hours its time to write one of these lol. BAM is by far my favorite vr shooter on the market right now, no other game comes close to offering the amount of game types. From your standard TDM and DM, to ctf, gun game, zombies, even a classic deathmatch were you must go around and find your guns on the map. Last but not least by a long shot is the new Battle Royale, just been out a day or two but oh boy to me its the standout game type for BAM. From weapon attachments, to vehicles this game has a bit of everything for fps lovers. Patrick you have made one hell of a game bud, I love it. Here's to another 100 hours man.
BAM is the perfect balance between the military simulation of Onward and the arcade quick twitch of Pavlov VR. This is the best VR multiplayer. The graphics are nice. The maps are nice. The guns are absolutely amazing. Reloading actually makes sense. There's usually several attachments for each gun. There's several single player type games/challenges available.
Game runs smoothly. There are a few locomotion options, but I always go for joystick/trackpad movement. I experience zero nausea. Did I mention you can pilot helicopters? Humvees? Yeah it's all here. Chucking grenades is fun.
The only problem is the servers are usually not full. Luckily, there are bots a plenty. So the game needs more players. C'mon guys, stop wasting time with other mutliplayers. This is the gold star VR multiplayer game. Come get some.
Rating 8/10 (would be 9 if more players)
The game is fun, and it is not dead. It's all about the times your playing. community is mostly chill, cept me... & there is a damn good bit of content, and more to come due to an active developer; As well as some dedicated players making maps. Try the demo if your skeptical, but get the game on this sale. It's worth full price, so no sense in missing the opportunity.
This is one of the most underrated VR games out there. Yes, just like pretty much every VR game on the market right now, there is a lack of a player base so it can sometimes be hard to find a multi-player match. However, the moment you do find a match with just 4 or more players it is a fantastic time. Guess how you make more matches available? Buy the game and play! VR is a new market and it needs investment in order to grow. Stop crying "muh player base" when you don't actually contribute to growing said player base because you refund the game after checking one time. I will say that I have had a few times myself where I was not able to find a game with players. When this happens I just go to another game and then check back later.
The gun play is realistic enough to activate your almonds while still managing to remain easy and quick to learn. This allows you to have the interactivity with the weapons which makes VR gun play so great while still having the ease of use to enjoy the general shooty-shoot bits with a very small learning curve.I have never operated a gun in my life but after 15 minutes I was shooting like a pro*.

As for performance, I am running a GTX 1070 and have had little issue. However, there have been some instances of lag on certain maps, for which the developer has pushed multiple updates in order to fix. This brings me to yet another point:
This game is early access. It is still very much in development. Purchasing this game is an investment in its future, you are not purchasing a polished product, which is why its not being listed at a AAA price. However, the developer is constantly working on updating this game. If you want proof look at the update/news history. As of writing this there are 40 updates which are published almost every week, if not more. Not to mention the smaller updates for bug fixes which which don't have individual news posts.
It may not have all the glitz and glamor as some of the more popular games, but it sure the hell is just as fun gameplay wise and it is only getting better as time goes on.
TL;DR: Yes, its not perfect, but it's constantly being updated and, the more people who play, the better it will get. It is a $15 investment which I guarantee you wont regret in the log run.
Fantastic VR shooter. Has a Counter Strike feel with the added realism of actually reloading and clearing jams in the heat of combat. This isn't as realistic as Onward/Arma but that isn't a bad thing if you're not looking for a shooting sim.
I've had the game for a few months now and the dev has been constantly updating the game and listening to community feedback.
The only downside at the moment, which is true of most VR games, is finding online games can be tough at certain times of the day due the small player base.
That said. When you get a game, you'll have a blast.
I play on a Oculus Rift with Touch and haven't had any issues playing the game.
Okay .... I've been playing the game and using the editor for a little while now, so it's time for a quick review.
At this stage, the game is still in Early Access. I played the demo for a few hours, and then moved on to purchase the game because it was so much fun. As of this review I have >60 hours in game/editor.
I've never played Onward, but I frequently hear references to Onward from other players in-game. While parallels are drawn between the two, the general consensus is that, while Onward has good graphics, BAM VR is more fun to play. Re-spawn times are instantaneous (with time to re-spec, loadout, etc).
For reference, I'm running with:
- Windows 8.1
- i7 4790k (overclocked)
- 8 GB RAM
- GTX 1080
- HTC Vive
Now on to a brief look at the pros and cons of BAM VR. Please note that, bearing in mind that the game is still in Early Access, many of the cons are probably attributable to this.
The Pros:
- Game runs silky smooth;
- Re-spawn time is next to nothing - jump right back in, or change class/loadout;
- Gameplay moves at a good pace; it can be fast and furious at times. Likewise, if you have a proclivity to camping - you'll get your chance, but be prepared to keep changing positions;
- Editor allows players to create their own levels (in VR);
- Matches (TDM) usually last around 10 - 15 minutes (in my estimation). At this stage, the game ends when one team reaches 40 kills - so, if there are less players in the match, it will take a little longer;
- Single player/mini-games are included;
- Weapons are super-easy to use. While I enjoy the complexity of Hotdogs, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, it's nice to be able to re-load a weapon simply, while on the run;
- For those prone to VR/motion sickness, there are several locomotion options available to choose from;
- The game developer is very active in the community, willing to make changes based upon player experiences;
- Game updates are very frequent;
- At the current price of USD$15, this is a bargain;
- The free demo is almost comparable to the full game.
The Cons:
- Limited number of maps at this time;
- The editor can be a challenge to get used to;
- Not enough choice of assets in the editor;
- Some of the assets are a bit higgeldy-piggeldy - sometimes, things don't look like they fit properly;
- The editor is a VR only application - it would be nice to have a non-VR option;
- Currently there is only one server, based in the United States - I'm in Western Australia - my latency is >300ms most times;
- Gamer population is low at this time.
In summary:

**EDITED: They fixed the trailer, much better guys! Game is amazing!**
This game has developed into the best 5v5 VR shooter on steam. It might not hold that place for long as dozens of indie developers strive to become the "goto VR shooter", but right now its ahead of everyone else. Here's why I think so:
1) Graphics, Models, physics, and Animation. Lets get this out of the way, this game has the same crappy graphics that every other indie VR title has. I don't consider any of this a part of the rating, because as most VR owners know, the VR experience outweights graphics by a factor of three. None of the best VR shooters have good graphics, and you can't expect them to.
2) Better than Onward! The devs for this title understand you don't want down-time when you have a 10 pound face mask on. Onward is a fantastic game, and easily the #1 VR shooter title holder. However, if you die 10 seconds into the match you have to potentially stand there for 5 minutes while the rest of your team fights. Bam VR takes you right back to "The Construct" where you can change class, mod weapons, and then spawn right back into the game. This method of FPS spawning is probably my least favorite when it comes to PC based FPS's, but I believe this is absolutely neccessary for any VR FPS. Either that or other VR shooters needs to add mini-games inbetween deaths.
3) Better than Art of Fight! The devs for this title also understand how important movement options are for players! They did a great job of balancing the game so a person using teleport movement doesn't have an advantage over people with free movement. They have paintball style moving, they have onward style moving, and they also have their own unique style. You click a location far awar, and then it auto-walks you there.
4) Better than Paintball! Paintball is probably one of the best VR shooters. However, this game scratches the itch you can only get from panic reloading a machine gun while trapped in a house or getting the flank on 3 guys and watching the blood spray as you empty your clips into them. Paintballs biggest draw back is the teleport movement allows you to flank enemies easily. You are constantly turning around and watching your back. You can't suddenly teleport behind somebody in Bam VR. Flanking requires more strategy.
5) Map builder? I can't really comment on this, because I haven't played around with it. However, you can currently build your own maps from with-in the game. I don't think these maps can be played online yet, but future workshop support may allow it.
I'm a big fan of gunplay oriented games on the Vive, particularly "Hotdogs Horseshoes & Hand Grenades" and "Onward". That being said, I picked up this game on a whim because it looked like it fit nicely into the same genre. I didn't expect much, however, as the screenshots and videos seemed to show that the game is not nearly as polished as either of the two games I mentioned earlier. However, after playing around with this game for a while I've noticed that I honestly enjoy it more than those other two. It has a natural playability that the others lack. It has fun gameplay modes, full scene creation, and the weapons have just the right level of realism. Not too arcade-ish, and not too realistic to where it becomes a struggle given the limitations of the controllers (*cough* H3VR). The only real shortcoming is in the sound design, but even then it doesn't bother me that much. In fact some of the sounds are quite good. It just needs to be polished up in some places. In any case, I REALLY hope the creator of this game stays on top of it and continues to build it because it could certainly end up being a huge success with this type of foundation.
