Guns, Gore and Cannoli 2

the game is wayyy to short. I suck at games and beat it in 7 hours

30 minutes into gameplay, i come from a town to storming the beaches of Normady with the allies, Gameplay is Guns, Gore, and cannoli.

As far as Indie games are concerned this is by far one of the entertaining game. It had decent narrative, good character design, funky gameplay (kinda reminded of My Friend Pedro) and overall a cheerful experience spanning 3-5 hours of gametime.

Ratings wise (out of 5) I would give the following:
1) Story - 4/5
2) Character Designs - 5/5
3) Level Designs - 3.5/5
4) Gameplay mechanics - 4.5/5
5) Controls - 2.5/5 (I don't know feels a little clunky)

But overall, it's a solid 4/5 game, should atleast play it once, worth every penny of discounted price.

This game is broken. Floating characters in the sky. Basic enemies unkillable. And they changed the easy to use controller controls to uncontrollable. Complete garbage.

They kinda solved the motion sickening camera from the first game but there isn't anything new. Still a very cheap platform shooter, repetitive, dull, dumb AI, unresponsive controls. Boring.

PS: I've tried the game playing with a joystick. Actually, it works MUCH BETTER with keyboard and mouse. If played like that, the experience could be different. Still, I'd keep the negative vote because it should work properly with the gamepad.

Violence.

genuinely fun game. The mechanics and aiming system make it feel like a mix between a metroidvania platformer and a twin-stick shooter. I had to reassign a couple of buttons to play the way I wanted, but the overall experience feels really fun and natural.

Awesome 2D game and worthy of playing, But before starting the game you must change the layout of the buttons in the Control to suit you and be easier as well, Because control is different from the first part

Loved the first one. Tried this one with high hopes. Everything is like the first one, graphics, game design, great music but the gameplay with a controller is utterly clunky and I have nbo idea why. Take half a sec for your character to turn... So your character feels slow and sluggish and it makes the game unplayable or at leaset not enjoyable...

This game is probably one of the good type of run and gun i've played. Each character has their unique differences and its very easy to see who is who. Plus, the bosses are pretty easy even on impossible mode zzzzzzzzz so yeah. good game, 10/10 would recommend a full playthrough of impossible diff frfr

A direct story continuation from the first, but now you add nazis to the mix of enemies. This game is fun and an improvement from the first. The controls are different from the first but once you get use to the new layout it’s an improvement. The boss fights stayed just as fun as the in the first. You can go wrong playing either one but both are worth a try

This game is such a great game, it's so good in graphics, runs smooth as butter (if your PC isn't a rotten potato) and it's really fun! Would recommend.

What a great game... lots of fun action. Great animation, great art style and voice acting. A few of the end level bosses were a little frustrating fighting them until you learn the pattern of their attacks, but that's what a side-scroller is all about. I hope they make a part #3 I'd buy it as well.

One of the plat-former shooters i have played kill some Nazis , zombies and mafia sadly there will never be certainly part 3 ant that makes me sad

I only played single player so maybe multi-player fixes some of this but GGC2 is littered with lazy game design, and super cheesy deaths, that makes fun mostly non-existent. Examples: super cheesy enemies shoot you from way off screen equals no fun as all you do is memorise where the way off screen enemies are and shoot them before they shoot you, don't even get to see the cool enemy death animations most the time. WHY? Lazy game design.
Super cheesy mini-bosses fire multiple rockets in quick succession. 1 hits you, you get bounced and hit with missiles until you die, they are bullet sponges so killing them off screen is not happening. Ok, that equals a challenge. Put them in a closed room with many, many, many, many, many spawning in minions, while many enemies shoot you from way off screen, and oh yeah the minions can stun lock you, equals no fun. This didn't say souls-like on the box, and moreso that's not souls like that's just cheesy kills. It's not even a bullet-hell. Imagine vampire survivors where one minion touches you, that stuns you, then everything gets a free hit, that stuns you, then a mini-bosses gets 10 free hits that all stun you. Equalling a stun-lock inescapable death... from one minion hit. That's what ggc2 does, a lot.

It's bizarre, because the enemy death animations are groovy. When the combat is actually on the screen and isn't spamming stun-lock insta-deaths, it's pretty cool. As i said in the first line, maybe multi-player fixes that, I don't know but I'm 6 hours in (a lot of that was memorising the way of screen enemy placement) and i'm so over the cheese.

first one was way better, it still had cheese but it was like a cheese platter not some kind of cheese enema. buy the first one for a $1, and skip this

Amazing game, finished it in 2 player coop on normal difficulty in 3 1/2 hours. Definetly worth it for the money. If you like Broforce you will love this one too. Highly recommend it!

Great game, a massive improvement from GCC1.

A lot of people complained about how awful the controls are, but i disagree. This game barely has any new input if compared to GCC1. The new input on this game includes roll, open weapon slot, use, and aim. But here is the thing, there is no grenade and molotov, the two input used for these are now used for open weapon slot and roll. Meaning the only new input in this game is the use and aim. Assuming you are playing on a controller, you can still use A to jump, B to kick, and so on. if you don't like the default settings, you can always change it in the settings menu.

Need to aim on this game sound sucks. But this means you can always try to do some cool combos and consistently getting headshots. Shotgun is very good now because you can actually hit your enemies head with it. I get it that some people prefer the run n gun but that doesn't mean you can hate this game because its a different genre from the first one.

The map is now a lot more bigger, which is great because this means you can try to do a lot of cool stuff, such as spying on enemies from different area, or sniping your enemies from afar. Combine this with the extra mobility options roll and double jump provided.

The enemies ai is now overall better, if you attack an idle enemy, other nearby enemies may get alerted of your presence. If an enemy is hit, they may try to hide behind a cover. They still attack closest target, so if there are some zombies and gangster nearby, you can try to kick them close together and watch them struggle defending themselves.

Though something i would complain about this game is lack of lobbed projectile weapons. Because of the bigger map and better ai, it's not rare to see a bunch of enemies just hiding behind a cover that may be pretty hard to hit. lobbed projectile weapon like grenade or molotov should help dealing with these guys way easier. Now we do have grenade launcher, but it's introduced so late in a close quarters area that it barely matters.

The other i would complain about is the story, especially the final boss intro and ending. How did the boss survived? what happened to the allies? what happened to the nazis? How about the secret base and the experiment? I know this game is set during WW2, so the answer to most of these question is about did you paying attention to your history class or not, but it's still weird to just left that out. i do like the Roswell incident reference on the end though.

Impossible mode is still impossibly difficult, but at least you don't have to beat the game on impossible to 100% the game. I still did though.

Short but sweet run & gun shooter. Pretty much an improvement over its predecessor in every way, which I also recommend as well.

I haven't played the first part yet, but this game is really fun and indeed was worth buying.
Reminds me of the old miniclip games i used to play when I was little. Brings back memories...
Same run n gun principle but with a nice addition of the story.
Artyle is nice, sound is nice, alot of cool weapons, just in general a pretty solid well made game.
