amazing graphics, game play, and community online. If you ant a good hunting game this is the best you will find. the maps are huge and unique
Amazing game!! Highest quality and most enjoyable hunting game I've played in my life.
Very fun game. You can choose to run and gun, or take things slower and more realistic. Always come back to this game!
learned hunting patterns i did not know. took me a while to track down big game and get it. worth it. scenery is amazing, sounds and nature portrayal in this game are amazing.
good story line in single player and theres a lot of diffrent maps and types of animals you can get
fun...execpt you have to wait 5 hours to get a deer down with the begigning gun
this game is great but i would get the free one though this ones a little pricey great hunting game great graphics 8/10
Fun but unplayable without dlc
A tranquil, visually stunning hunting sim. Master patience tracking realistic wildlife across vast biomes. Perfect for nature lovers seeking immersive strategy over action.
9/10 | Play if: Zen-like exploration excites you.
fun game although the enemies are pretty easy.
yes i'd recommend, BUT...i do say that you better buy the dlc's as well bc it really makes the game feel complete. otherwise its just an ok game w/o any dlc.
sehr geiles Jagdspiel! Schöne Grafik mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Realistisch wie ich finde <3
this game is great for adventure guys and nature lovers, would recommend
it is very fun and and there are lots of DLC's and there is so much to do you can go hunting all over the world you can hunt big game like bare or moos too small game like red fox and racoon and if you dont want to hunt masiv game or small game you can hunt dear willd hog and many more
sorry if my spelling is not amasing sorry
Its an amazing game and graphics are great.
This game is a fun relaxing FPS that takes hunting games to the next level. After years of playing this on xbox and buying all of the DLC here I am doing it all over again as an elite race PC gamer. It has been a blast 10/10 recommend to more players!
The game does not save games inexplicably, it is unacceptable that a game more than 9 years old still has such a serious bug, they have not even released a manual patch to save/load manually.
Only worth it when its on sale,
the base game is mediocre , (surprised multiplayer isnt a dlc) you need most of the dlc's to have fun.
the only good thing i can say is that if your playing with your friends only one person has to have the dlc.
The atv should be free as movement in the game is very slow, painfully slow.
if they were to make a dlc for a vehicle, why not have a 4x4 car that everyone can ride in and actually make it fast. in that case the dlc would be worth it
Sometimes can't click menu options or play the game. Mediocre when it does work. 4/10
game fun. deer taking two revolver shots, both claiming to be a no organ hit isn't.
I like that the hunting in this game is not overly difficult. The scenery is beautiful, and relaxing.
absolutely stunning game but it requires alot of patience
the details are amazing
the guns and maps are wide ranged
the mechanics are realistic
most of the gameplay can be boring but rewardiing
the lore and stories of maps and missions are fabulous especially vurhonga savana
by far the best hunting game ive played
Amazing graphics, great game play and a real grind for the Great One!!!!
Really fun game and you meet a lot of other really cool people and overall best game
The gameplay when playing with friends:
Yo! That's an animal... right?
Well who cares anyways, just shoot that thing.
The gameplay when I play alone:
That sure looks like an animal of some sort but it seems I only have this rifle that absolutely explodes anything that's smaller than an elephant... IS THAT A PHEASANT!??!?
*proceeds to turn the bird into fine red mist and a pile o' feathers*
In conclusion the game is really fun to play with or without friends.
great game but its a lot better with dlcs
The side quests Can be very challenging but they are predictable fetch quests "Bag X-type animal, using y-type weapon, from z-distance or during a-time of day. The game maps are large and take a long time to master due to limited fast travel points and animal spooking radii.
The base game weapons perform adequately for their intended classes, so shot placement is paramount. A things bug me about this game but are not egregious enough to be deal breakers:
Scent hounds will chase trails across bodies of water that the hunter cannot cross, even though the trail remains on land, thus calling off the chase.
Hounds and animals get stuck navigating up/down hills with obstacles
Tracks do not render well enough for tracking unless the "highlight" cheat option is enabled
Head lamps don't spook or stun wildlife
Cover scent effectiveness is hard to judge. The wind indicator could do a better job showing the reduction or change in shape.
There is a lot of DLC for this game and the DLC has a meaningful impact on play style/difficulty. There is also a lot of Youtube and FAQ content out on the net to help noobs.
A very peaceful and satisfying game. Getting a good shot on your prey also feels good. Highly recommend playing this game.
It is everything you'd want in a hunting game and all the dlc are worth it. I can tell I'll have many more hours on it over time
this is an amazing game to play and just chill on.My favorite part is that it is super realistic
it is fun and the next steam sale is in spring so i say that you get it it is very relaxing and you can invite friends and there is 15 different maps you can explore and about 60 animals you can hunt so i recommend and i get to play with my son it is very fun so i recamend getting it in the spring steam sale good luck
Excellent, nice looking game for those who have patience to hunt.
DLCs are great and really fit into whole theme of gameplay. They are really not expensive for what they bring.
It's really nice to see a game where you can get great/whole experience without having to buy any of them :)
Personally I like to lure animals in using treestand-scent remover-caller combo and taking them out with my crossbow or Sundberg .454 Hard-Cast up close, less than 40 meters range. A LOT OF FUN!!!
Highly recommend
love it, its realistic enugh its fun and dlcs are actually worth the money
It is a very fun game,it can be a little confusing at first and they always have good updates
It's a great game, very peaceful, relaxing, and immersive. If like peaceful vibes that can become tense at times, this is your game.
The "storage" inventory menu, however, was designed by UX professionals that worked with a team of expert psychologists and neurologists to be the un-intuitive, painful, and awful as humanly possible.
Best hunting game. The tents and ATV DLC is a must everything else is optional
this game is so good 4 me because i hunt irl and itss so much like it and thw way thw bones are layedout on this game simulates life and is such a great game
It’s an awesome game especially when I I don’t have the time to go hunt in real life tho it is a little unrealistic on some features but if your wanting a fun way to hunt it’s perfect.
Not going to lie, I wouldn't suggest this game to other players. A big reason why is the time sink that it is, if that appeals to you then it's a game for you, but in my experience the grand majority of players do not care for such a time sink of a game where you will see little reward for likely several months over tons of sessions. The game is too focused on realism and not enough on enjoyability for it's playerbase which leads me into the development team and community around this game.
I wish I hadn't poked my head into that rabbit hole and if you get into this game, and advise you don't as well. I've all to often seen and heard from others the lackluster behavior the team behind this has toward even the most constructive critic of their game, the slow or plain disinterest in fixing long stand bugs, and the extreme community focus on "if it's not diamond or rare, it's not worth posting or worth noting" mentality that I and other have experienced within the community.
Now for comparisons. Compared to other hunting games, this game can be very good or very bad. Realism? Well yes and no, for example Way of the Hunter is now beating Hunter in many regards as the realism they provide is ever excelling and the team is more willing to listen to others about improvements. But if you are looking for total hardcore realism sure this game is great, from the insanely reactive animals to the behaviors of some but then we fall off again. There is little to not interactions between your wildlife in Hunter, no bull fights, no hunting behavior (unless it's hunting you!), nothing beyond eat, drink, sleep, repeat. It can make it feel just a little dead and lifeless especially with the low amount of population the maps have.
Another big aspect of the game has also been falling dreadfully behind which is keeping your trophies in lodges, the lodges are....prehistoric at this point. Nothing but basic wall mounts with nonsensical size limitations in some cases alongside very poorly decorative ground plates that often won't even match up with what animal or animals you have on it, would it really be that hard to add some different textured ground plates for players to choose from? Considering it's competition has amazing plates with customization and layout looks and that one of the free (but smallest!) lodges provided have some cool lodge plates but the ones you pay money for get nothing?
Overall I'd suggest looking into other hunter games for the time being, maybe that will change with updates but considering it's been years and little in the development cycle has changed beyond adding more DLC content that feels pretty much pointless to buy after the release of the modern weaponry DLC that does all the work you'll ever need in Hunter, alongside tons of reused animals in new maps with copy pasted animations and even sometimes behaviors being reused onto new animals as is so it's nothing but a model with no new features aside from that.
It can be a very fun and immersive game sometimes but I´d say the biggest problem are the many dlc´s. There are some dlc´s that make this game feel like easy mode and it´s generally a bit questionable that a game has 61 dlc´s...
i have played this game for a while now and it is the most relaxing game i own.
Graphics is really good and all the weapons you can buy and switch from is making the game even more fun.
I highly recommend this game, especially for hunters and nature lovers.
This game is very fun! It's like hunting in real life! I totally suggest this video game to players!
this game is very fun and activie and lots of DLC and stuff to buy and look around in maps!
10/10 would recommend they need to add cross-platform. It has been way to long either give us this or give us a new game
While i wish you could enjoy the whole game without a paywall, it was worth it. Incredibly enjoyable game with hours of missions, or your choice of hunting.
Hunting. It's a hunting simulator like climbing your staircase is a mountain climbing simulator.
Think of it more like a virtual shooting gallery.
You have to be patient and slow if you want to tag the most difficult animals, so tweakers, tryhards, and sweatyboys should probably stick to TheFinals. You can literally walk for 20 minutes and fire only one shot.
The thrill is the hunt. I could not ever hunt these animals in real life, not for sport. Here though, let's blast away whatever we can find.
The APEX engine is a beautiful thing, but water performs poorly when backdropped behind tress and foliage. Environments are breathtakingly gorgeous.
No bugs. No bugs at all. Like, flies, mosquitoes, bees, blackflies. You don't get cold, either. Or wet.
Sometimes these huge maps feel unnaturally void of life, but then I remember: this isn't really a hunting simulator.
Draw distance for animals is about 400 yards.
A lot of essential equipment (like the ATV and the Bloodhound) is accessible only by DLC.
Having said that, you can get a great package deal on this game often. If you're interested in this game, I highly recommend that you wait for a good discount on a package that contains a few maps, a dog, etc.
They say you can play with friends. I haven't tried that yet. I just like to go on adventures and walks in the taiga, south Africa, New Zealand, Nepal, etc.
Recommended if you want your FPS slow and quiet.
This is an incredibly enjoyable game that offers a relaxing and immersive experience, perfect for anyone interested in the art of hunting. The game provides a deep sense of understanding of what it means to be a hunter, as you explore various beautiful locations and learn about the different aspects of wildlife tracking and hunting.
One of the most exciting aspects of the game is its unpredictability. You never know what will happen next, as every hunt presents unique challenges and surprises. This keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging, offering a mix of calm exploration and thrilling encounters.
The DLCs (Downloadable Content) are highly recommended because they add so much value to the game. From new hunting reserves to additional weapons and equipment, the DLCs significantly enhance the overall experience. They are well-crafted and worth the investment for players who want to expand their adventures.
I strongly recommend this game to anyone looking for a great hunting simulation. It’s also a fantastic way to unwind—whether you’re fully focused on the game or even nursing a hangover, it’s an incredibly fun and rewarding experience. The Hunter: Call of the Wild is truly a must-play for fans of the genre.
its a very fun game it makes me happy and relaxed when i get mad.
Fun game, hard but fun and as close to real hunting a game can come and be at the moment.
this game is worth the money it is the most realistic hunting game I have ever played in my life HOPE YOU IN JOY THIS GAME AS MUCH AS I DO
