Poorly made. Ripped off Nuclear Throne.
Controls don't work exactly as they should, which is insane, as there are so few of them.
Do not buy this game. It has about 6 gun in total and is very buggy, sometimes the levels are broken and don't end, other times the portal spawns in an non-accessible location. The game has about 3 different level themes and loops them over and over with no increase in difficulty. There is practically no progression system in this game. The multiplayer is also very buggy, but made for a so bad its good type of thing, kind of, but I also feel like that was just me making the best of buying a horrible game.
But the biggest problem with this game is that the devs are somewhat of scammers. They have released the same game 3 times. Go click on the dev name at the top of the store page (under where it says the reviews are mostly negative) and see for yourself. They have Gun Brothers, Massive, and another I cant think of. They are all reskins of the same game. I feel bad for anyone who bought both Gun Brothers and a clone game.
I bought this because I love Nuclear Throne but I assure you it is nothing like that game.
this game is complete buns ROFL do not buy it not worth the money (got it for a dollar 90% off) i can see why this dookie ahh game was off for 90% it's dead garbage the portal that spawns after you clear a level spawned outside the map LMFAO it's one buggy ahh game that has been in early access for half a decade no wonder this got mostly negative user reviews and i happen to be one of them now.. this my first review too that's how garbage this game is
Not sure why this game is getting all the hate. The graphics remind me of Dig-dug and I like it!

Tried playing online with buddies.
The online hub was horrid.
Game constantly lags oh.. an did i mention the whole game freezes beyond saving if the host dies?
It's like Nuclear Throne with controller support, if Nuclear Throne was a steaming pile of shit.
this game i kinda bad, they can easily improve it if they change the health system, add more characters, and have a bigger amount of types of enemies and bosses

The ability to pick items up off the ground is so inconsistent that I just avoid pickups altogether.
This game is a mediocre nuclear throne clone. If it was a free flash game online somewhere, it might be worth playing, but as a game which is purchased and on steam, it is not good. It is way too slow, Oh My God it is slow, a lot of stuff is broken, as far as I can tell every character is fish but if you play as the roach a giant monster which is just a bad big dog is on every level, there are like 6 weapons, there is no progression, and literally everything is a bad copy of nuclear throne. World two is literally just the sewers but bad. Once I figured out how to actually play this game I 'looped' on my first run. There might be items, but they do not work unless it looks like the player were to use an xbox controller, and I am not willing to find my xbox controller to make a bad copy of nuclear throne work a little bit better.
I am not asking for a refund on this game because I have hope. Nuclear throne is one of my favorite games of all time, I was hopeful this would breathe some new life in to my love of nuclear throne and it did do that. This game reminded me of how good nuclear throne is and how mediocre this game is both in comparison and in general. I am hopeful for the future though, the developers are active and seem like they might actually be interested in making a good game.
Edit: It looks like a game called massive is literally the same game but maybe a little better from the same devs, in early access, with the same textures, and at the same price, so like, they might just be a money grab? I am not sure though. Just do not buy this game.
After playing this game for a short period of time i can say that its crap. This game seems to be nothing but another rip off of other bullet hell type games and its a poor ripoff at that. However it is in Early Acess so i will forgive it for its unoriginality. I will say that with some actual work this game has some potential however the art sprites etc. seem to have been slapped together in about 5 minutes in total using fucking ms paint and the game generally seems really janky and buggy. Again with some actual proper work done this could be something good however as it is now....

Miserable rip off of Nuclear Throne. Game is a buggy mess and not even worth it if you get it dirt cheap.
i liked this game initially and have been waiting for more progress. since nov 2016 there hasn't been any. then you read further reviews and realise they've ripped off another game anyway.
Gun Brothers is a scam. Besides being a horrible knock off of Nuclear Throne, it's same exact game as Massive... check it out for yourself and you tell me otherwise.

In light of the recent attention my review has gotten, I just wanted to include a message to the dev's.
While it saddens me to see people getting ripped off, I also believe that people deserve a chance. So, I posted this negative review only on 1 of the 2 games not just to warn people but also because a developer does deserve a chance to sell a product. Not a product*2!
Yes, what I played was the same game and it took less than 1 minute to see it. Selling the same reskinned game while it is still in development; twice, is seriously an insult! It maybe even fraudulent. You admit to developing both and yet, both games are sold under different publishers and different developers.

Also note that as of this review update, both Massive and Gun Brothers are still currently in early access and if Steam is going to continue to sell both, I would only hope that the differences in both final products (as well as needed fixes) justify a $9.99x2 price point.
When you do the math, that's a $19.98 price tag, to play the same game!

Short Review:
Retro style graphics we have all got used to but work well enough.
Nice variety of enemies on show so far.
Poor boss design.
Characters look different but if they do act differently not enough to tell.
2 levels on offer at the moment, the random generation of levels results in extremes offering terrible levels at either end of the spectrum too often.
Gun variety is enough to make a game but not enough differences to offer something worth while or for what I can see is going to turn into something offering beyond average.
Good base but nothing to say right now that it will end in a "great" place, considering the competition on the market in this genre.
