Робот по имени Крамер-227 был оставлен выживать на покинутой человечеством и обреченной планете Аврора, и теперь должен найти достаточно энергии и помочь друзьям, пока планета не погибла. В поисках спасения подгоняемый вечным энергоголодом Крамер встретит множество трудностей.

A really nice game about a tiny roboit sabing his friends from being carbonizd by the sun, it's gets hard but only at the very in, even so it's generous with the savepoints, so yea, i recommend it.
I wish i could see the ending again since i kinda miss it and the words goes too fast...
I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Well, first of all, this game requires a powerful PC. That's why I have beaten this game recently, years after I bought it because my previous PC could not run it smoothly. The game mechanics are not smooth and feels not polished enough. I still gave a thumbs-up since personally I enjoyed the -however simple- story, sci-fi visuals, music and sound effects. I enjoy 2D sci-fi platformers so I enjoyed this one too, despite its flaws.
only thing i have to say is....
sort out the intro cut-scene, its 10 minutes long with no transitions between whats going on, pure chaos for the mind of the robot doing tedious activities (which are not realistic to what happens in the game, and god i had the music volume all the way down and it was deafening not to mention for the entirety it was just blasting the same tune over and over with no dialog.
other than that the game play itself is very basic and there are alot of other games in the platforming genre that are similar to this game yet pull it off way way way better. all round an unenjoyable experience so far.
As a fan of platform games I am very pleased to have played such an interesting, moving and nostalgic game. Shiny is a challenging amusement but fortunately it is not "the-impossible-to-finish-game". ;) What is most important, Shiny has a cute, hypnotizing graphics with an amazing, unforgetable soundtrack. I am pretty sure you will spend a great amount of time if you give it a chance. :) I did! And I do not regret it! ;)

Decent graphics with endearing characters, unfortunatelly the gameplay lacks polish and ends up being a major challenge to overcome (platforming properly shouldn't be the biggest challenge a platformer has to offer). Even if the player gets used to the wonky jumping, some game breaking bug (like falling through a stage infinitely without being put back into a playable position; Classic) will probably destroy any glipse of fun he was probably having with this one. Hopefully the devs can fix the game and improve the platforming a bit in a near future, it would definitely make this game worth the time.
Thumbs down but its not terrible. Graphics are nice, music is relaxing but controls just arent quite tight enough, especially with landing after a jump. Having to use the right analog stick to manually move the camera all the time to make sure i dont jump into a pit and die got old quick. That and the character always seemed to move just a tad to the right after landing. This would make me have to overcorrect my jumps constantly by jumping and moving to the right then immediately holding the left stick back. Also there is no dpad support for character controls and the powerups are mostly useless except for the jetpack- but you dont get it until over halfway through the game. Thankfully it took less than 2 hours to finish. Like i mentioned its not a terrible game and its worth a play but only at a huge discount. And patience.

I have mixed opinion on Shiny as its one of those titles that should be better. It has all the ingredients to be a success but as with a lot of indie games, funds, time, experience, etc could have forced their hand to release the game before it's actually in a more polished state. Still at a decent price Shiny delivers enough content and fun that makes it worth checking out.
Shiny is a very basic(sometimes challenging) left to right platformer where you play as the robot Kramer 227. An opening cinematic shows humans abandoning the planet, and all the worker robots, as the planet drifts towards its doom. It's a good cinematic as it feels a little like the start of a Pixar movie(though not even close to the visual fidelity). Your mission is to rescue your robot friends across 21 levels and hopefully escape the planet in a rocket. It's a good story set up and satisfying end. There is no voice work or dialogue and only kramers eyes offer some sense of emotion that should have been utilized more.
From a gameplay perspective it will feel familiar to anyone who has ever played a platformer. As you begin each level you will be challenged with (usually) finding 4 robots to rescue and a # of energy cells to locate which will be mandatory as jumping, turning on elevators, opening doors, using powers, etc all expends energy. There is a good placement of checkpoints but i recommend playing the game on normal or even easy as energy on later levels, the body count and some bugs make it virtually impossible. The other problem is, because of the energy cell placement, you have to die in order to retrieve them. This is what made me restart the game about level 10 and turn the difficulty down to normal. Platforming for the most part is adequate and so are the controls but the camera is not always your friend. It's not terrible but the inability to freely look around the environment or even a map would have been more useful.
Shiny also provides a few upgrades to enjoy. They include the fire resistant armor, an electric shield protector and always a favorite, the jetpack. The jetpack is the only one that is fully utilized in the later levels and it looks and controls fantastic. As i written early the camera issues will become more common as will the energy cell need. All of these abilities will consume energy and as i also said on harder difficulty will make the game extremely difficult.
This is now my 4th or 5th straight Unreal engine 4 game and the first i can say i have mixed opinion. On some occasions the game looks beautiful, the level design the character design is excellent but the one thing noticeable is the flat textures everywhere. I probably wouldn't notice as much or care if i hadn't been praising the heck out of U4 for the last couple of reviews, but its clearly noticeable. It doesn't take away some awesome lighting, weather, and particle effects but the texture issues is right in your face the whole time. However, it also doesn't take away one of U4 strength and that is performance. The game ran flawless at 1080P ultrawide with little to no issue but while it offers a good set of resolution option 2560x1080 is not available, why? It also is bare bones when it comes to graphical setting which anytime this happens is disappointing.
For me Shiny is skating right down the middle of a positive/negative rating. It could be better and it has some flaws but there is still some good platforming and exploration fun to enjoy. Fans of the genre i think will enjoy Shiny... at the right price.

M.I.A. You can return to a level but you basically restart. No option to find the robots, or cells you missed in first play thru.

Unfortunately, the game feels like it's an alpha version from the very beginning. Even controls in options menu are messed (you can only move between options with stick, then press A but value can only be changed with directional button)
Cannot move a character with d-pad, UI is poor. Gameplay seems to be slow paced and boring without any form of combat, just move right, sometimes press X, you cannot even jump much because it consumes battery which when it's empty you die and start from last checkpoint.
I don't like it, I'm asking for refund, sorry.
A nice example of puzzle/platformer, i will definitely continue playing.
