This game was my childhood! I loved this game and I played it so many times. The nostalgia is crazy for this game and I recommend it to other players.
Unless you're getting it for the nostalgia, just get the new one instead. The vehicle levels in particular I find actually miserable to play through
I played this game when I was a kid and now im playing it again but as an adult lol. I can say it is still a blast. I will say there are a few bugs, I've only put a few hours in it and have found that it can act weird when having my keyboard and controller plugged in and tab out for something then come back to the game. Other than that its still as good as you remember it! With the sale price right now it is a must buy.
VERY AWESOME GAME. Feels very janky to play in 2024 but the sense of nostalgia is perfect, this game is perfect to play when its raining. I refunded the game (terrible decision) because in my opinion it was janky to play in 2024 but its worth a while. on top of that the game doesnt rrequire a mouse meaning that you can play the game ANYWHERE, even the bathroom. this game is dope an i highly recommend it.
better than the skywalker saga
best lego game
prob one of the best games to ever exist too
10/10
Star Wars in plastic form! Foreshadowing at its finest. Truly ahead of its time.
As a kid we had this laptop that came with The Sims 3 and Lego Star Wars with the last few chapters. I was so relieved to find the complete saga to be able to finish the story and enjoy childhood nostalgia. I recommend this game for any Lego game lovers, star wars lovers, and in general.
At least give hints, when putting puzzle in, so much BS i had to find an online guide for because it doesn't give any ideas for anything
This game is a required step in becoming a true gamer. So sad TT abandoned this masterpiece and lazily ported it to PC.
Enjoying so far however the flashing text is going to give me a anurism surely that isnt safe for people with epilepsy
I didn't play the early Lego games when they were new. First Lego game I played was Jurassic World and it was when I was already an adult. This game is OK, but I've been spoiled with the newer, superior Lego games. I'd recommend the newer games over this game any day.
THIS GAME DOES NOT WORK ON THE STEAM DECK. WHY IS IT VERIFIED? Almost none of the controls register on the Steam Deck. If a Valve employee is seeing this, please de-verify this game. It's such a massive disappointment given I was so excited to play a game I loved so much growing up.
Timeless masterpiece. Wait for the price to drop to 4€ (which happens often). Amazing, runs even on a potato, fun.
Absolute banger. Only downside is you need to play each main level AT LEAST 4 times for 100% and the vehicle levels other than the pod race sucks.
A Wii/X360/PS3 era classic that runs just as well on PCs. While the difficulty is basically nonexistent, it's a really fun way to experience the Star Wars films. Collectibles and co-op or character exclusive sections add replay value, but it's not forced on you and the game plays very well in singleplayer story mode.
I recommend using Steam Input to connect a controller, though. The keyboard controls are not great. There are also some glitches throughout, both of the annoying and hilarious variety.
BEST LEGO GAME OF ALL TIME!!! Absolute classic and idk if anything can beat it. So much playtime even tho its a bit repetitive you cant really beat this for classic childhood games.
not the best lego game but not the worst one either
LEGO Star Wars is the staple of many a childhood and I was no different and LSW is still a game coming back to as an adult and honestly one of the best games that is great for the family or otherwise, now if only steam remote play would fucking work
I love this game, it's still so fun and great. <3 And CUTE. :) As a kid I never actually tried getting any minikits or anything lol but now I am! :D It's so gooood! Of course it also runs like a dream lol, no effort at all on modern gaming laptop and super chill temps of like 40-50 C.
Never played this game as a kid and it still gave me nostalgia, 10/10.
I'm speechless, Filoni has done it again
In an age of cinematic mediocrity and watered-down content, it’s a rare and refreshing occurrence to experience a work that not only transcends its medium but redefines it. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is a tour de force, a profound meditation on the Star Wars mythos that dazzles both the casual fan and the connoisseur alike. Truly, it is not merely a game—it is an art form, a postmodern reflection on the depths of storytelling, and a tribute to the lasting cultural resonance of George Lucas's iconic universe.
From the opening sequence, where the iconic Star Wars theme subtly melds with the unmistakable clink of Lego bricks, it’s clear that this is no ordinary adaptation. Dave Filoni, the auteur behind this remarkable reimagining, has elevated the often-overlooked Lego format into something approaching high art. Each level, each interaction, is imbued with a careful, almost reverent attention to detail. The characterizations of beloved heroes and villains—distilled into whimsical Lego mini-figures—exude both gravitas and charm. Filoni has taken what could have easily been a slapstick parody and transformed it into a layered, nuanced retelling of one of the greatest sagas in modern pop culture.
What’s remarkable is how the game retains the humor and lightheartedness inherent to its Lego origins while never diminishing the epic grandeur of the Star Wars universe. It’s a delicate balancing act, one that requires a mastery of tone, and here, Filoni succeeds with aplomb. The narrative—stretching across the prequels and original trilogy—captures the essence of Star Wars not as a simple space opera, but as an allegory for heroism, fallibility, and redemption.
The design of each level is a visual and auditory feast. The environments—whether it’s the desolate sands of Tatooine or the bustling streets of Coruscant—are rich with texture and atmosphere, a testament to the devotion put into the game's world-building. And the score—oh, the score—remains one of the greatest triumphs of this project. John Williams’ iconic compositions, reimagined through the Lego filter, are given new life, further elevating the emotional stakes of each sequence. You’ll find yourself humming the familiar themes long after the credits roll.
But it’s not just about the visuals or the score; it’s about the emotional resonance. The Complete Saga does something that many other adaptations fail to achieve: it makes you feel. When you are guiding Luke Skywalker through his journey from farm boy to Jedi Knight, it’s hard not to be moved by the weight of his transformation, even when you're navigating a world of Legos. This game understands that the magic of Star Wars isn’t in the spectacle alone, but in the quiet moments, the reflections on identity, loyalty, and the unyielding pursuit of hope.
To call Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga simply a "game" feels like a disservice. It’s an experience, a monumental achievement in interactive storytelling. Filoni has done more than just craft a fun romp through the Star Wars universe—he’s created a love letter to it. For all the nostalgia it evokes, it also reinvigorates the spirit of Star Wars in a way that feels fresh, joyful, and utterly timeless.
In short, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is not just an exercise in fan service; it is a masterclass in the art of adaptation, a profound meditation on the lasting power of Star Wars, and quite possibly, the most important work of the medium since the introduction of the Lego brick itself.
Great game, just play and enjoy. It was a big part of my Child hood
7/10 ISG scale
netplay has no sound. please help.
I had my first sexual experience during star wars 3 room 8. I refuse to elaborate
This isn't just the greatest game of all time, it is the single greatest thing that has ever been made by mankind. This game might as well be the whole reason humanity even exists. Playing just a second of this masterpiece will change your life forever, the story telling is so beautiful, so captivating, so deep, so mind blowingly profound that it will have you smiling, laughing, crying, questioning everything you have ever known, and rethinking your stance on the meaning of life itself. The graphics are so realistic i would sometimes even question if I was staring into a different dimension or not, and to be quite honest I'm still not sure if this game is real or not. They even made six whole movies based on this game! But I would not recommend watching them because they couldn't even get close to replicating this masterpiece. Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga isn't just a game, it's the crowning achievement of everything mankind has ever created. A life changing, once in a life time, gift to the universe that everyone should have to experience. But be warned, once you start playing you will never want to touch or even look at any other game ever again.
Peak nostalgia, peak lego game.
Original Podrace, Original Gunship Cavalry, Battle over Coruscant, and Darth Vader is when Boy became Man.
Best Lego game ever made must play must vibe too
It's my childhood and it's still fun to play nowadays. Love to make my own custom character and use it in Free Play.
It's a great game. I played it growing up and still frequently play it with my siblings. The levels still hold up almost two decades later, and the soundtrack is also fantastic, essentially being the same soundtrack used in all of the movies. Unfortunately, the combat is mediocre at best, as nearly every enemy has only one heart. Most of the time, I end up just spamming the Jedi Slam attack to deal with large groups of enemies. Other than that, it's an excellent game—100% worth buying on sale.
best game ever made no other game can compete not even black ops 6
A fun Star Wars game although it is outdated now due to the Skywalker saga, but its still quite fun.
it's a fun collection of the first six episodes of Star Wars
Okay, this review is going to be different from my previous ones because I wanted to 100% LSWTCS before I got this review out so that I could share my thoughts on one of my favorite video games of all time. By the way, if I start to get cynical in this it’s because I was playing this game for like 50+ hours for full completion. So, I apologize in advance. Also, I will be leaving out “Presentation” and “Story” here. I know this is a departure from my previous reviews, but I don’t want to waste your time.
Gameplay
So, for full disclosure, I actually played the Nintendo Wii version of LSWTCS when I was younger before I got this game on Steam. I also played LSW 1 and 2 on XBOX, so I pretty much know how these games work. Also, no, I do not support Microsoft or XBOX anymore after the clown show they pulled an EA and shut down these studios. Anyway, back on topic. Before you start actually playing the game, I highly recommend that you bind your gamepad controls in the “Control Setup” menu: Tag – North, Special – West, Jump – South, Action – East, Character Toggle Down – D-Pad Down, and Character Toggle Up – D-Pad Up. Once you start a file, you are thrown into the cantina, which acts as a hub world, and you immediately take control of either Qui-Gon Jinn or Obi-Wan Kenobi. I guess now’s a good time to talk about the different playstyles. Since TCS begins with the Prequel Movies, your first playthrough will start with Episode I. Now I hope I am wrong, but once you finish Chapter 1 of Episode I, all the episodes are unlocked. Throughout the game you will be presented with different styles, Jedi/Siths, Blaster Users, Bounty Hunters, Droids, Jar Jar Binks and “Jar Jar with Spear and Shield (I forgot what the other character’s name was, sorry),” and your custom character. Sorry to keep this segment short, but I’ll talk about this more as we go on. Also, I encourage you to watch Jay Exci’s video on TCS as it goes more into depth on this game than me.
Combat
Since this game is based off the Star Wars franchise, you know there has to be combat here. Playing as an adult now, it’s fine, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. While you are playing as a Jedi/Sith, you can use your lightsaber to perform a 3-hit combo. One aspect I learned by complete accident was that the combat was also proximity-based. I encourage you all to go watch Bio-Roxas and Yahya Danboos’ videos about proximity-based combat, they explain it much better than I can. But the best way I can describe the combat here is that if an enemy is behind you, you press they attack button to swing your lightsaber to attack the enemy behind you. Not only will you perform combos, but you will also do jump attacks as well. You can do a downward slash by jumping once and pressing the attack button or an AOE ground pound that will destroy enemies and objects around you. You can also deflect blaster fires by attacking or timing your button presses to deflect it back at the enemy before the blast hits you. By the way, when you encounter a lightsaber boss, you can abuse either the downward slash or AOE attack to make them look like pushovers. What’s the matter, bosses; too much of a coward to face players like man? Jokes aside, the bosses are really easy. However, this is a game targeted towards kids so that’s understandable.
It’s time to talk about the blaster playstyle. Characters like Leia, Han, and Chewie, for example, can use blasters to shoot enemies from a distance. However, if you want to be a man and throw hands, you can get close to an enemy and slap them if you’re a female or punch them if you’re a male. However, if I am wrong, this is only present for IV-VI characters. Another feature that is exclusive to the IV-VI characters is dodging blaster fire. Aside from controlling characters, you can also control ships. To be honest, I found controlling these ships to be tedious. Not frustrating, just tedious, especially when you are bombarded with enemy fire which will kill you in a few seconds and you lose your studs. Speaking of which, when you die, the only punishment you get is losing your studs, which is this game’s currency, and even when you don’t have studs, you don’t get a game over, you just respawn at the spot where you die. Again, this was meant for kids, so that’s understandable. The only complaint I have about the combat is that multiple enemies will bombard you with blasts and they respawn. I hate it when games have multiple enemies attack you and respawn constantly to create artificial difficulty. But it is what it is. Oh, and also, screw those LEGO bats!
Combat: 9/10
Puzzles
As for the puzzles, I find these to be fitting considering that most of the environment is LEGO. Not only will you be building objects by using LEGOs or the force, but you can also push and destroy objects in order to progress or reveal more LEGOs to solve puzzles. One area that I got stuck in while I was a kid was the beach on Ep. III C. 4. What I didn’t realize is that I had to use Yoda’s force ability to pull up one of the plants in order for Chewie to get up on the bridge and shoot the targets. Aside from that though, the puzzles are not even hard. In fact, I’d argue that even a kid can solve them. BTW IGN, kids are NOT stupid, they are smart enough to solve these puzzles, even if they need help. Sorry for that tangent, I just hate it when people treat kids as if they are not smart.
Puzzles: 10/10
Collectibles
Much like SM64, Banjo-Kazooie, and BfBB, we also got a collect-a-thon here. However, if you want to check out Traveller’s Tales’ previous works, they made other collect-a-thons like Disney/Pixar’s A Bug’s Life and TS2: BLttR. Aside from collecting studs, you also collect minikits that are scattered throughout the levels. Once you collect all 10 minikits in each level, you get a complete mini-ship. There are also red bricks hidden in the levels as well, and if you have most of the characters unlocked, you can use them to get to out-of-access areas to get the minikits and red bricks. These red bricks unlock extras in the cantina’s shop, and are available to buy with studs. Oh, and get this, TT went the extra mile to include a challenge mode in which you have to find blue minikits as well. However, most of them are hidden in cryptic places that I used walkthroughs to help me. Also, there are gold bricks that you get for completing a Story level, getting “True Jedi” with a set number of studs, and getting all the minikits. There are like 160 of these things and you get the rest by completing the extra story mode and bounty hunter levels. Now disagree with me on this, but I hated the LEGO City levels because I was really confused on where the studs were, and you have to get 1M of them. So, what did I get for 160 gold bricks? A golden stud dispenser that also unlocks all extras. Despite me being drained from these collectibles, I still had fun playing this game and trying out all the customers.
Collectibles: 8/10
Final Verdict
So, what are my overall thoughts? Well, even as an adult and aside from the bugs I encountered, I still love LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga and the amount of love and care that was put into this game. I also really appreciate how it pokes fun and most of them got a laugh out of me. So, after making this review, I think I’ll give my thoughts on The Skywalker Saga at some point in the future. Not going to lie, I am not looking forward to playing that game again after being bored from playing it. Anyway, thank you all for reading and stay safe out there.
Final Verdict: 27/30
So nostalgic and I will forever love this game, would be cool to see achievments added
I owned this game as a kid and I loved it a lot, and when I bought the game here I decided I wanted to 100% it and then give a review.
I loved playing this game, it brought back a lot of happy memories and it still held up pretty good all these years later. The humor wasn't as good as I remembered it, but it also was still pretty funny. The game-play is still very smooth with occasional issues controlling vehicles. The game works fine for single-player, but it was definitely made with two players in mind.
Overall I still loved this game and I would recommend getting it whether you never have tried it or have played it and you want to relive some memories
Good Game from my childhood but the last 3% of the game just took way to long ;D

best game ever ! the new one is doo doo !
Great game, original music and story, perfect for Star Wars fans but not only. Great to buy on sale. Alot characters and fun puzzles.
10/10 would smash lego jabba
an Amazing collection of all 6 episodes of star wars and there's a lot too collect. One could argue too many things to collect.
After 100% this game, I can safely say it deserves the reputation it gets, but holy Mary mother of Jesus Christ I will never be doing that again.
fantastic game always brings me right back to my childhood, still the best lego game ever!
Im a 23 year old man with soon to be 100 hours in this game. Its good...
Game plays like a flaccid malnurished penis, graphics look like lego, not star wars (Why does anakin's hair look so fucking bad). Also there's no dialogue making it boring and lazy, They ruin some of the franchises most heartbreaking scenes by adding in disney aah humour (look no further than liam neesons death). I reckon my uneducated ass could make a better star wars game, because this shit managed to raise gen z (a bunch of tiktok drones).
Excellent game, brings back a lot of nostalgia from when I played as a kid. The controller settings are a bit funky, it sometimes loads as a keyboard first then you habe to manually tell it to be the controller. Other than that one of my all time favorites
This set the overall gameplay of the LEGO TT series and they knocked it out of the park. It's been maybe a decade since I last played, and while I don't have as much enjoyment of this one compared to some others, it held up extremely well. It's consistently iconic. The Super Story and Challenge Minikits really sucked a lot of fun out, but they learned quickly by not implementing that in future games. Introduced major icons of gaming with the GONK Droid, so play for that reason alone.
Best Game Ever!
Ah, LEGO® Star Wars™ - The Complete Saga—the OG of LEGO games. Nothing groundbreaking, but man, what a gem. Sure, the textures are a bit rough, and the graphics might look like someone rubbed sandpaper on them, but hey, it’s a LEGO game from 2006! Who cares?
The real joy of this game is the classic LEGO charm. Blasting droids, building random stuff, and watching your favorite Star Wars characters get broken down into a pile of bricks is just chef’s kiss. It’s simple, it’s nostalgic, and it’s got that perfect mix of fun and frustration when your co-op buddy accidentally smacks you off a cliff for the 15th time.
Yeah, it might not hold up visually compared to today’s games, but let’s be honest—nobody plays this for cutting-edge graphics. We’re here for the pew-pew and the brick-breaking goodness.
Randy Rating: 4.0/5 — Classic LEGO fun, rough around the edges, but still a great time. It’s from 2006—who cares about the graphics?
This is basically my childhood. The recent lego star wars game has shinier graphics and more content, but I actually think I prefer the level design in this one.
