The game in 2025 looks great in terms of gameplay, but there are problems with optimization on modern machines. Various bugs and errors may or may not be encountered, so it's a test of your luck. Because of this, I recommend buying it only at a discount or waiting for an official fix, which may or may not be released. If you consider only the game without technical problems, then everything is ★★★★★.
It's alright fighter game, but best part of it is how good it looks. Animations are crazy good, it's a great spectacle. Actually made me wanna re-watch the anime haha

Easily the most skippable of the series, the minigames and the mission unlock system is pretty bad, mandatory grind and janky controls and the combo-breaker log-jutsu is nearly impossible to do unless you're very familiar with attack combos as it requires strict timing to do, so only the cpu can really do it lol.
Even if you wanted to play through the series in game form its not really good for that as the mission structure is very disjointed and cutscene heavy rather than the much more gameplay oriented style of the future games.

Very nostalgic. I hope they somehow add the mist village arc too which would be so intense and amazing. Really great story adaptation. Aside from the story, the ranked missions are very fun to do as well. Time to move on to Second part. Thank you, Bandai Namco for making such an amazing game.
The game that started the Storm legend.
It's aged surprisingly well! Visuals are still gorgeous, and while the combat is the clunkiest in the series it's honestly better than most modern Anime arena fighters, and it's got plenty of single-player content in its Ultimate Mission Mode to keep you busy (though very repetitive towards the end if you're grinding for 100%). Definitely still worth a play-through for any Naruto fan.
You get a lot to do and there are a big number of missions to complete. Very good game and the perfect one to begin with the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Series.

This game is almost enjoyable in how janky and bad it is. It's the kind of game that I would enjoy if I were a 10 years old Naruto fan who just wanted to duel characters.
It's a bad game though, and it feels more like a prototype that was rushed by the developers.

Crazy short game but still has a lot of cool features. For it being the first Storm game, you will see a lot of slower gameplay. However, there is still good in this game, with there being cool boss fights (although not much of them), a pretty unique free roam section that no other Storm game achieved in the entire Leaf Village being explorable. The ultimate win/loss screens reminds me of the Budokai series in Dragon Ball, and I wished they stayed in future games as it was an amazing feature. Again, not that much content in this game, can be done really fast if you aren't going for the 100%. I recommend on sale. 7/10

I hate this game so much. It makes me angry. The mission design and structure is garbage and the missions are badly made. I hope the sequels are better.

The game is great but since this was released on PC. Bandai should consider changing the Xbox button icons to keyboard button icons because it is really confusing to a keyboard user like me.
Game doesn't autosave, can randomly crash when restarting a fight and has missions with multiple fights, each one with very difficult extra conditionals.
I don't mind some fights being infuriating, but shame on the devs for not fixing the crashing issue.
one of my favorite games on PS5! Gonna get all the trophies on PC now lol
played on controller, the controls were all over the place. the actual fighting is terrible from all the storm games

While I'm glad this got a HD touch up, in my honest opinion this is still one of the weakest games out of the entire STORM lineup. Clashes are still a fun mechanic but apart from that the story is virtually non-existent, although I didn't play a lot (only like an hour before I got fed up), I was stuck just exploring Konoha which got stale really fast and every mission you unlock is essentially a side quest mini-game.
super cool game but the chase missions are so annoying
probably the worst out of the ultimate ninja storm series, its just hard to keep playing unless you want to 100% it

Ok. I got it for cheap so Im happy. Fighting feels great. The rest needs work. My first level I had to beat 2 guys in a row with a power boost. Lost of course. The village looks amazing but man exploring it is so much work. I dont know if Ill play more of it. The mini games were fun but werid that they were required to move on. All the rewards and unlocks is meh. Says I have 2 percent of the game done after 2 hours and at this rate I think im just going to throw in the towel. There no gameplay tutorial either. Just the story mode. Ill give it a thumbs up for gameplay and how much heart the game has but man they really expect the player to do a million things for new music or a new move. Like cmon.
Game runs great on Steam Deck EXCEPT for the Chunin Exam Arena. It doesn't crash or anything but the combat slows way down. Substitution jutsu is weird compared to the new games. Graphics still look good for its age. Lots of nostalgia and was fun to revisit and get all the achievements.

The game is very free-flowing, and this is exactly what makes the game complicated and people get lost in it.
I tried to play the game and I really tried, but unfortunately I had to give up, I couldn't progress with the game and I couldn't figure out how the game works.
Even during 4 hours of intense suffering, I couldn't figure out where to go, what mission to do, etc.
I have played all Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Series completely! And I have all the Naruto games on steam! But I just gave up on this game!
Based on my experience, unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.
To my great sadness, Naruto & Shippuden is the best!
I have a nostalgic feeling for old games where you see the devs put love making it, and this game makes me feel that way.
Sometimes I feel really sad for not enjoying my childhood and "growing up" too early, but then, I open games like this and remember old times where I played Naruto Ultimate Ninja or Tenkaichi Budokai with an old friend at ps2, but he is not a friend anymore.
This game is not perfect, but you can feel like a child trying to make the fight of kurama naruto x cursed sasuke, and the giant battles are pretty good too. Bought at sale for equivalent of 3 dolars.
