excellent game and best combat style game and got nice story on JIN character
God, what a breath of fresh air this game after Tekken 8
It's a shame that this game will die soon, play it while you still can, or they will force you in 50/50 stance rushdown unblocable mid heat engager and gut your character into 50/50 stance rushdown casino mess that is unfun to play against
You know the Tekken 8 S2 patch is BAD when casual AND tournament level players are quitting Tekken 8 and going back to T7 and f*cking TAG 2 of all games!! TAG 2!!!
If you're a T8 refugee, then just play this game. The online netcode is pretty bad (even for the time this game came out), but at least Jack +8 can't haunt you here.
good fighter. first tekken ive played in about 20 years, pretty good game. think i liked sf5 better, but its close.
Tekken 7 was a revival of the series and I never appreciated it for what it was. Tekken 8 made me appreciate it. This might be the last good Tekken game.
For all of T8's current faults, this game has plenty of faults which are now locked in.
* Too many fast CH launchers on too many characters
* Dumb wall nonsense
* Full combo of low parries
Makes for an aggravating experience where the space of possible things to do is reduced to the most boring and generic part of the movelist, frustrating homogeneity albeit in a different way to T8.
Good parts:
* Armor King and Julia are in it
* Tekken Bowl is fun, though lacks the whimsy of the Tag 1 version
amazing game, infinitely superior to it's 8th installation
Everyone who doesn't best of 3 in Ranked can't actually play the game, so if you imagine everyone's a scared cheap player who can only get 1 win to feel good about themselves, the game becomes much more enjoyable when you lose. I still hate this game, but it's aight
Lots of issue but overall more of this Harada.
Game is ugly as hell and the loading time are abysmal but at least your skill are rewarded and defence do be defencing.
Tekken 8 Season 2 Refugees.... we got deported to Tekken 7
This game was not perfect but it saved the franchise and the devs made most of the little budget they got thanks to tag 2's disastrous sales numbers its not perfect Akuma and other 2D Characters were always annoying to play against but man every character had identity and strengths and flaws
I Really hope Tekken 8 Gets fixed
Extremely fun, and each win actually feels rewarding unlike Tekken 8. It may be old but it still is worth playing.
If you have played Tekken 8 (especially Season 2) please try this game to see why people are so upset.
There is so much gameplay variety that you can easily put hundreds of hours into 1 character experimenting with different moves, playstyles, and combos. Try playing Steve, Eddy, and Asuka, all 3 feel completely different to play and changes how you experience both the core mechanics of the game and your approach to fighting your opponent.
That variety mixed with the various core mechanics of the game such as sidestep, low parry and the various high/mid parries, korean back dash, grab breaking, high/low crushing, etc, Are the reason Tekken has been so beloved since Tekken 3 in late 90s.
with Tekken 8 season 2 almost all of the variety and core mechanics have been stripped away in favor 50/50 situations where you are forced to block and guess whether the incoming attack is a Mid or a Low (should you Stand Block or Crouch Block).
To be clear Tekken 7 is by no means a perfect game, it has it's issues, but at it's core like the previous Tekkens it is a fantastic fighting game.
Apparently there's a boycott by some redditors, about the Tekken 8 season 2 update. I'm not a part of it, but I did lose both my mains when going into Tekken 8 so I decided to play this for a while as one last hurrah.
I really missed this, the game is still really fun. Each character feels really unique and have to play to there strengths. Even now, there's still some tech for Eliza that I haven't mastered and she isn't even the hardest one. I got the game towards the end of its life span, I really wish I got to spend more time on it. I think it is one of my most played games and the only fighting game I could get into.
So for that, it'll always remain as one of my top 10 games.
Better than Tekken 8. It's nice that the shitty update has given players an excuse to play fighting games that don't carry you with 50/50 forced mixers. Neutral is king.
The first experience for playing tekken on pc is great. Never had console for playing other fighting games.
I always want to play tekken. Overall, better than tekken 8, for sure.
Tekken 7 is my favorite Tekken game, offering a much more skillful experience compared to Tekken 8, which feels like it's all about 50/50 guesswork and brain-dead gameplay. Plus, there's no microtransactions, which makes it even better.
This game has its own flaws and isn't perfect by any means, but it's the last and best Tekken game you can play.
Played this game for hundred of hours, switched to PC and bought it again. i gave this game up the day Tekken 8 came out and after Season 2 became the most offense based 50/50 slop fest, I came back to this game to remember how defense works. And I bowled a 258 with Kuma and im proud of that.
Just came back to Tekken7 after Tekken8 showed me what true disappointment looks like - and it feels like I’ve been upgraded to a real fighting game again.
i mean its tekken with defense and no +8 on block homing range 4 mids that lead into a 50/50 thats heavily in their favour and you just gotta guess for game against every single character in the game. i got the max juice edition with every dlc character for 20$CAD which is cheap af just wait for a sale thats like 13$USD
Went back to playing this, It reminded me how much I enjoyed playing fighting games, That, Street fighter and the others. This Game brought me back in ,even if Tekken 8 is out, I'll still give this one a review. I respect the devs for what they did with this one. The other is fun as well, yeah it's different, but it's still fun. That's really all games should be. Fun. Just enjoyment.
in case some of you guys havent leaving the game, TEKKEN 7 is still fun to play, moreover you guys might shocked HOW MANY SIGNIFICANT UPDATES happened towards the characters as if you've never know your own main before.
T7 Jin is the best in my overall experience, and i dont think i can move on so easily.
Game is perfect, I love the graphics and mechanics, but the weird clothes of characters are way too much, although its funny
Never played TEKKEN 7 on pc that much. But i did play Tekken 5 on ps2 and Tekken 7 on my ps5. So i would def recommend if u like Fighting games.
This is the only game on my 30+ years as a casual FGC gamer that made me wanted to learn fundamentals. After a couple of years without playing it I came back and got me some 500 hours to loosen up...now I'm ready to finally learn some frame data. Not other game as came as close to set my heart's fire as this 🔥
Aguanten todos mis rivales de sudamérica
>Main dragunov
win fights
>Russian guy also mains dragunov
get beaten to death 6 times
10/10
how you gone make a game with a multiplayer achievement when the servers are dead joe rogan
it is good i recommend this if you want to play a character that's not yet in tekken 8 and if your character is not here then i recommend tag tournament 2
AWESOME SAUCE GOATED FIGHTING GAME YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BUY RIGHT NOW. THIS GAME IS WORTH IT AND IS AWESOME SAUCE. IT HAS KAZUYA MISHIMA WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR
The game actually works
doesn't need a vpn to connect
and plays like tekken but with ugly graphics
combos from 8 don't work tho
the game is great but not worth the price tag for online play , i'd recommend saving your money for tekken 8 which is miles ahead of tekken 7 seven in terms of being beginner friendly and overall gameplay in other words get it if its on sale but not at full price
Tekken 7: Leroy Smith Move List & Guide
Leroy is a counter-hit monster, has insane parries, and safe pressure. He’s easy to use but deadly when mastered. Let’s get into it.
1. Best Moves
Pokes & Pressure Tools
1,1,1 – Fast, safe jab string.
b+1 – One of the best counter-hit mids, gives a full combo.
d/f+1 – Great mid poke, safe on block.
d+4 – Quick low poke, keeps the opponent guessing.
Counter-Hit Moves
b+1 – CH launcher, insane range.
b+2,1 – CH confirmable, leads to big damage.
u/f+3 – Safe CH launcher, tracks well.
Lows for Mixups
d/b+3 – His main low, knocks down for follow-up pressure.
d+4 – Quick low poke, good for chipping health.
FC d/f+4 – Sneaky low, solid damage.
Launchers & Whiff Punish
u/f+4 – Generic hopkick, reliable launcher.
d/f+2 – Safe mid launcher, best for punishment.
SS+2 – Great whiff punisher, launches on normal hit.
Wall Pressure & Oki
f+4 – Wall splat mid, amazing for pressure.
d+1+2 – Fast, safe mid that keeps them locked down.
1+2 – Knockdown move, great for oki setups.
2. Combo Starters & Routes
Staple Combos
(Launcher) > 4,1 > d/f+1,4 > b+2,1 > S! > d/f+1,4 > Ender
(b+1 CH) > d/f+1,4 > b+2,1 > S! > d/f+1,4 > Ender
Wall Combos
(Wall Splat) > 1+2 > d+1+2
(Wall Splat) > d/f+1,4 > d+1+2
Parry & Counter Combos
(Parry) > d+3+4 > b+2,1 > S! > d/f+1,4 > Ender
3. Gameplan & Playstyle
Bait & Punish – Leroy’s counter-hit tools are ridiculous. Use b+1 and b+2,1 to catch aggressive players.
Keep It Safe – Most of his key moves are safe, so don’t take unnecessary risks.
Parry Everything – His auto-parry (b+1+3 / b+2+4) shuts down strings and aggressive opponents.
Mixups & Pressure – Use d/b+3 to make them crouch, then mix in mids like b+1 or f+4.
4. Weaknesses & How to Cover Them
Slow Movement – His backdash isn’t great, so focus on sidestepping.
Predictable Strings – If you spam b+2,1 or d/f+1,4, good players will duck the second hit.
Limited Range – Some characters outrange him, so use smart sidesteps to get in.
Final Thoughts
Leroy is strong, simple, and safe. Master counter-hits, abuse his parries, and keep your pressure solid. If you play smart, he’s a nightmare for your opponents.
arcade mode is pretty good if you like old school tekken and fighting games then arcade mode on a high difficulty hits the spot. especially with the cheaper price tag. lots of characters unlocked already except for a couple special ones.
story mode was atrocious and i highly recommend not bothering. it is terrible. they should have just stuck to old school games back in the ps1 and snes days where your just getting a few snippets of text and a clip or intro and have some kind of over arching theme like eventually fighting the boss of the game. after every match in story mode there is like 10-15 minutes worth of movies. its crazy. i skipped a bunch and then just quit to play arcade. they should have done it old school like back in the day in snes and ps1. where they just had a small clip and some texts moving you towards and overall goal with some kind and let our imagination paint the rest of the picture.\
no offense but whoever came up with all the long movies was a waste of millions of dollars that could have fed the poor or been donated to actual science or a childrens hospital.
online mode is a joke everyones a cheater and they got auto block on
Tekken 7: A Knockout Fighting Game Experience
Tekken 7 delivers a thrilling and polished fighting game experience that honors its long-standing legacy while introducing new mechanics to keep things fresh. The game’s roster is diverse, featuring a mix of classic characters and newcomers, each with unique fighting styles and move sets. The combat is deep and rewarding, with a balance of accessibility for casual players and complexity for veterans.
The story mode, while not groundbreaking, provides a satisfying conclusion to the Mishima saga, complete with cinematic flair. The online multiplayer is robust, offering competitive matches and leaderboards, though connection quality can vary. The visuals are sharp, with detailed character models and dynamic stages that add to the excitement.
However, the game’s DLC practices and lack of substantial single-player content beyond the story mode may disappoint some players. Despite these shortcomings, Tekken 7 remains a standout title in the fighting game genre, offering intense battles and endless replayability.
Been playing fighting games for a long time now. Been playing Tekken since Tekken 3 on the PS1 a long time back, and have always had a preference for 3D fighters; Rather excited to check out Virtua Fighter soon and see where else Steam is letting them bloom lately. I'm not the best, but if there's one game someone wants to run it back in, my choice is always gonna be Tekken, it's got some of the most exhilirating matches I've ever played while spending time understanding what fighting games conceptually were growing up, I always feel like I can try my best with most of the roster in most Tekken games as at least a mid level player by now, compared to many 2D fighters where I lack an understanding of much of the rosters overall with certain more in depth mechanics to certain characters and a more linear idea of spacing, Tekken allows you to develop what many would consider your fundamentals on another level entirely, which is a great skill to have when going into any other competitive fighting game scene as well later on. It's a great game to learn, and it's even more fun when you can teach your friends and enjoy it with people you know and learn from them as well, in my opinion.
Despite thousands of hours in Tekken in general, let's say since twenty years ago now, there is plenty of tech that I simply do not know, and I find that fascinating. It truly is a timesink for those who enjoy it and a great game to play with your friends as it always was. Tekken 7 goes on sale pretty often these days, and I find that a lot of the DLC characters are just as fun to play as the main cast was on launch. I do wish we'd get more ports of earlier games on Steam, in particular I was a big fan of Tekken 6 and Tag Tournament 2 on the PS3 and spent hundreds of hours in the years before I built this PC, but I know those days are long gone without proper attention brought to them in days ahead. I'm a fan of games preservation in general, and I'd continue to pay good money to see the rest of these games in the PC community, alive and healthy at some point, maybe in a collection if I'd be so bold for the earliest titles that have been long forgotten on the PS1 and PS2. But for now, the best I can do is continue to support Tekken 7 before we all inevitably have to move on one day to other things. For many people on PC, this is where Tekken started, and I can respect that in a way not many other games deserve and give it my best, it'll be a while before I'm compelled to try out Tekken 8, because this game is right here and for many people way more affordable and meaningful to try out. Just uh, pro tip, ethernet connection helps a lot.
As a longtime Tekken fan and a dedicated Anna and Nina main since Tekken 3, I just have to say that Tekken 7 has truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The gameplay feels smoother and more refined than ever, and both sisters have never felt more fun and satisfying to play. The attention to detail in their movesets, animations, and overall design is incredible—each move feels impactful, and their iconic playstyles remain intact while evolving with the new mechanics.
The addition of Rage Arts and Rage Drives has only made playing them even more exciting, allowing for strategic and stylish comebacks that keep fights intense until the very last second. Nina’s fluid, technical playstyle continues to reward skill and precision, while Anna’s explosive mix-ups and unpredictable aggression make every match thrilling. The balance between these two characters is just perfect for players like me who love switching between tactical and aggressive approaches.
I also have to appreciate how the game keeps the Mishima saga alive with a cinematic and emotional story mode. Seeing the sisters still playing a role in the Tekken universe after all these years is just so rewarding as a longtime fan. And let’s not forget the customization! Being able to give Nina and Anna stylish and fierce looks only adds to the fun and personalization of the game.
Overall, Tekken 7 is a masterpiece, and as someone who has been playing since the classic days of Tekken 3, I couldn’t be happier. The legacy of the Williams sisters continues to shine, and I can’t wait to keep enjoying every fight, every combo, and every rivalry for years to come. Massive thanks to the developers for keeping Tekken alive and thriving—this game is everything I could have hoped for and more!”
i just punch a mean uncle and it was a fun experience, then i go back home to play tekken 7. 10/10

Tekken 7 is the most refined and well balanced fighting game to date, peak fighting game perfection.
Nearly a decade after it's original release, Tekken 7 continues to remain one of the greatest 3D Fighters to ever grace a console. A benchmark for modern fighting titles with gorgeous graphics, a robust roster of longtime favourites, surprise guest appearances from properties such as Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, and the Walking Dead, improved battle mechanics, and one of the grittiest story modes since the days of Tekken 4.
Pros:
------
- Large roster of familiar and new faces.
- DLC appearances by iconic characters such as Street Fighter's Akuma and Fatal Fury's Geese Howard.
- Gorgeous graphics with large, multi-tiered levels.
- Expanded Customization mode with a plethora of unlockables.
- Rage Arts, Slow Motion, and Armour techniques add a layer of strategy to matches.
- A darker story mode reminiscent of the look and feel of Tekken 4.
Cons:
-------
- Limited offline modes missing from past titles (such as Survival, Time Attack and Team Battle modes).
- Players have to unlock the same edit pieces repeatedly for each character,
If you're still on the fence about purchasing Tekken 7, wait for the Definitive Edition (which usually sells for about $140) to go on sale. The Definitive Edition contains the the full game with all of the DLC. For it's occasional $30 sales price, it's a steal.
The game is amazing but online lobby is shitfest infected with cheaters. Autohotkey and scripts everywhere and dsvs dont do shit to ban the cheaters
Tekken is like a childhood memory for me because I started to the series by playing Tekken 3 when I was in primary school. Since then the game developed a lot in many aspects but I still can't like about this Rage Art/Drive thing. Not to mention the combo assist via L1 button. These feel like making the much more easier and welcoming especially for new comers. That's a yes but I wish it wasn't that way. Can't blame the company for doing so but that's just a personal wish from a hardcore and oldschool gamer. The game is super fun and DLCs are unfortunately expensive. That's all I can say. Fight on!
The most fun I can currently have on steam with the Tekken IP. I'd love to have Tag2, or SFxT to play though...
That Beautiful Game I gives 10/10 Not For Story And Gameplay ( For The Skins Of Girl Charecters
This game is so unfriendly to new players.
Like half the button inputs are so confusing. Down, Diagonal, Forward + a button? Like what? there is no tutorial on how to play. Game does not display your custom keyboard controls. It's not respecting the native input of a computer. I am not buying a 6 button fight stick or whatever that shit is called.
Confusing shit aside, this game is so satisfying to hit people. The players are so skilled and it's nice to get humbled by people who put the time in to learning the game.
There is no crossplay on Tekken 7 but there is on Tekken 8 apparently. So you might struggle to find an online match if you do not live in Asia where the game's audience is mostly from.
good shit game wanting to play this since i was 8 but now in 2025 as a 15 year old i got a chance to play it. i love tekken from the bottom of my heart.
i like the graphics not really
I would recommend this game for Tekken players who cannot play T8 on their setup. Surprisingly, I still find a lot of players playing this game on rank.
There is nothing much to say here. i Love tekken for me its the best fighting game ewer. Would love to play it in tag again tho.
Fun, especially with friends. Especially against friends. Former friends. Enemies. Idiots who spam single attack they learn. Or picks Eddy. -.-
Have to purchase characters that have been in the game for years as DLC. Trash company
