The game is insanely good, it is just that its not for new players at all unless you want to practice a hell amount, Fights wont be enjoyable online if you do not know anything about this game.
load up rank, see akuna, unistall, load up sf6, see akuma, uninstall, download tekken again. great game.
Rage art is questionable, but, it's not like it cannot be blocked or countered. Everything you want from T6 plus more... Don't skip to T8 without at least trying this.
I play this when I want to beat the ever living dogsh!t out of my grandma. Every time I use the Chinese girl to f.uck up stupid boys and knee them right in the d.ick online I get a rush. I always pretend it's her and when my opponent's p.iss starts to boil and rage quits I always imagine it's my grandma falling at my feet. Where exactly is your God now? You stupid old buffoon.

For some reason gingers are very good at this game specifically. i recommend destroying any physical copys and flee the country at the earliest convience . kuma is my favorite :)

All of my favorite characters, with just enough difficulty to make me want to come back to hand out receipts.

Tekken 7 is awesome and the story mode is very deep and grey in the lines of good and evil.
Honestly disappointing. A huge let down of a Tekken that is inferior in just about every way to the prior Tekkens. Also, I cant even play as some of my favorite characters. It appears that this isnt a game where you can unlock modes and characters anymore. When you buy this game, you arent actually getting the whole game. Everything is set up as staged purchases, DLC, and micro transactions. Been a fan of Tekken all of my life but this is just a big miss.
Very cheesy game. Some flaws like local rank save & no punishment to rage quitters but still a very very difficult game and definitely satisfying to play after putting hours and hours of time into it. It is a never ending learning experience with tekken.
This game was much better than Tekken 8. The gap between the skilled and the unskilled clearly showed itself. Unfortunately, it still had flying robots and fireballs. Not my taste. I prefer characters that play hand to hand combat and clearly defined strengths and weaknesses, absolutely no stances/installs, and a maximum or 1 or 2 moves per character that give moderately plus frames, and an insane battle designed around execution and movement. Also, the rank should be calculated based on my accumulated defense rating against all characters. Oh, and absolutely no rage arts. They are repetitive, boring and an hour long. Rage drives were fine for the most part. Lastly, a maximum of 10 characters in the game. Why would I even want to lab Alisa if I don't even want to play against her. Meaning I don't find it fun at all. Its just boring.
cool visuals and cool fighting game but it is hard to learn the mechanics and i would prefer street fighter. also the jumping is not as satisfying. and the way there are no tough girls and there are only cute japanese girl characters... really disappointing.
A great entry for the franchise, maybe their best since T5.
There are a lot of things that i couldnt enjoy on this game tho: its balancing deteorated over time with patches that failed to do justice to the characters unique gameplans and querks (in favor of a more homogeneised roster); bloated cast with 50 characters with a 100 moves each (paired with limited practice mode options) make it difficult and anoying to lab; some questionable business practeces (paid frame data and overpowered DLC characters with the innability to lab without spending money come to mind, with the latter messing up the balancing even more); shambolic online, some of the worst ive seen in a game from that specific era (savescumming, plugging and cheating are all allowed, has bad netcode and has way to many loading screens than it should); disapointing offline content (the story isboth bad and short, the character episodes manage to be some of the worst in the series and just lacks some of the cool fun modes from previous entries like team battle). All of this in spite of me having loads of fun at times, ive made friends with the game, i indulged in the mechanics, has good presentation (despite the subpar grafics and models the game is vibrant, is very well animated, hit effects, sound effects and slomo mafe matches feel dinamic and cool, has decent music and amazing stage theming) and is an overall good fighting game. I just feel that its problems take me away from the fun more often than it should.
Overral, i find it difficult to recomend this game in 2024, online is dead and other than that there isnt much to do. While is a good game (even great at times), a lot of its problems can very easily get in ypur nerves, and its safe to say that they may have set a bad precedent for the sequel.

This game is 10 times better than it's successor. If you want a good old Tekken experience, I'd recommend you to play Tekken 7 instead of Tekken 8. Unlike it's sequel, Tekken 7 has no greedy malpractices. Since the game is complete, you can buy the definitive edition and get all the contents the game has to offer.
Not a lot of players nowadays. Rank and unrank matches are sometimes full of pluggers. The game is stlll worth my money even though Tekken 8 has been out for a while now.
After almost a year of t8 existing, I'd say t7 is 100% a better experience for dedicated casual play. Less damaging combos overall, less brainless offence. Overall that makes for a "cleaner" tekken gameplay where you have to think and adapt instead of having to block for 15 seconds straight and mash occasionally like you do in the latest part of the franchise.
The only things worse are visuals and loading screens, but imo the pros outweigh the cons by a large margin.

I LOVE this game its very cool and fun to play, chalenging and awsome
Tekken 7 shines where it matters most: the gameplay. The combat system is smooth, responsive, and rewarding, keeping the series’ legacy of deep mechanics intact. Newcomers can easily pick up the basics thanks to a relatively accessible learning curve, but there’s still a lot of depth for seasoned players, with every character having an extensive move list that requires practice to master.
One of the standout additions is the Rage System. This mechanic activates when a player’s health falls to critical levels, allowing them to unleash powerful Rage Arts or enhance their attacks with Rage Drives. It adds a layer of strategy, making even the direst situations feel winnable.
The Power Crush mechanic is another excellent addition, allowing players to armor through attacks, making it useful for countering aggressive opponents. The game also boasts a large roster of 30+ characters, each offering unique fighting styles, including newcomers like Akuma from Street Fighter, who adds crossover appeal.

Feels like downgrade in many aspects from previous tekkens. No fun arcade where you have to unlock characters, many things like modes and characters that previously was included in the game is now behind pay walls, no team battle mode

1. Got this game for story mode only and found it too unappealing for me.
2. Wanted to get into fighting games with this entry but I realised that this genre is not my cup of tea.

I'm gonna say get this while on sale!! If you're not a millennial YouTube basement dweller or play it online there's no point in Tekken 8 unless you want a game that doesn't feel like Tekken, has less than half the roster, and is horribly unbalanced.
If you want a Tekken to play with your friends at home on the couch, here you go. $20 and you get everyone and a better Tekken game in my opinion.

i donot find the aradic language in the gaem
im frightened of online matches i saw in youtube and thought i will be Az kicked but after installing first i learned hworaang for 30 mins in practice all his moves and played ranked my 1st opponent was the spam Az eddy i lost 2-3 . then played again and for surprise every 4/5 battles i face eddy. but i kicked his Az every time.and reaced dan 3 just in few battles.and from dan3 there are very few eddy spamers and had good skilled players.online just takes few secs to find opponent for me in asia.highly recommended.
i put my blood sweat and tears into learning one characteras full combos and attacks just to get killed in 2 rounds by a dude from a different country

This is the Tekken game that revitalized the series and inspired its continuation. As a teenager, opening this game on my PS4 brought a tear to my eye. The melancholic piano melody in the Solitude soundtrack together with intervowen clips of the Mishima family's struggles in the menu's background hit hard. A true artwork in my eyes.
From a competitive standpoint, I adore Tekken 7 for its tense neutral play and the range of playstyles that the game allows. I've played this game with strangers online and with friends back in my university days. It was never not a blast!
With Tekken 8 already out, why can't you just release an update where everyone with Tekken 7 will have all the characters unlocked and just stick to one edition which is the Definitive? You know those with Original characters have been with you from the start so a little incentive would be appreciated by your fans/users. Enough with your attempts to milk more from players who know nothing of this game. Let's celebrate Tekken 7 by letting everyone have all characters, new and old!

bought this on sale for a very good deal. New to Tekken, but played games like this in the actual arcades years ago. Lots of fun learning character moves. If you're new, wait until its on sale, pick your two or three favorite characters, and learn their moves. Set to basic combos when playing with friends who are new so they can have fun and not just get beaten.
get a controller if you only have a keyboard. unless you want to end up in a midlife crisis i had trying to play this tumorous cancerous game with a keyboard lol
