Room scale is required with a minimum supported play area size of 2m by 2m (6.5ft by 6.5ft). Please ensure your SteamVR Chaperone boundaries or Oculus Guardian boundaries are set up properly for room scale and that you are willing to move and punch anywhere within and around the play area you have defined. Joystick movement is not supported, and you are expected to physically move around in the real-world.
Oculus Quest is not supported. Do not purchase the PC version of The Thrill of the Fight to play using the Quest headset. Oculus Link does not fully implement all of the room scale features that The Thrill of the Fight relies on to work properly. The only functional and supported way to play The Thrill of the Fight on Quest is to play the native Quest version.

my shoulders hurt
give us TTOTF 2
this game is peak, even though theres a sequel and no more content, this game will give you:
-soreness in new places (assuming you don't go to the gym regularly)
-motivation to try and learn boxing irl
-the means to lose weight if you keep at it (and with a good diet ofc)
-and a good way to pass time doing cardio :D
there's a whole bunch of fighters you get to go up against with varying difficulty, as well as training modes, and the game feels super duper fleshed out for only $10, i didn't even grab it on any sale. 10/10
Cool game, it is tiring, but it makes you want to play it until you can't.
Its easy not to destroy your possessions, play on roomscale away from things you can punch. If you have a 2m x 1,5m like me heres a tip.
So you don't punch your objects in your room: Set the camera to lock onto the opponent in the settings if you have a small room. This will make you stay oriented IRL. Try standing with your back not too far away from your rear boundary where the game takes you into your corner all the time. Start from there every time and you can fight without fear of damage.
If you're stuck, read the tips on the left, practice the weakpoints on the dummy, turn off the automatic punch scaling to make it easy until you get hit with the confidence that you'll whoop anyone before you and set it back. You can always customize beaten opponents or yourself.
I didn't know i had this many muscles in my back until i felt them burning :)
I don't have much time in the game so far, but i am hooked both lef and right.
I didn't expect this game to grab me so much, great workout, enough difficulty of opponents, but above all the accuracy of punches and the stronger punch you give, the harder your opponent gets, got me a vibe when u try to knockout ur enemy even when u are tired af, so far the only great box vr game, but to be able to compare it with another one, I plan to buy Creed: rise to glory
Comparable to crack. Went in blind and Ugly Joe laid me out.
Love it but they could bring some dlc, new fighters, venues even a new gym
So much fun, the most realistic in VR.
This game is very tiring! It is very fun and you will get the feeling of wanting to knock out the opponent even though you're too tired. Maybe that is what boxers are feeling when they see the opponent is staggering.
Went and boxed with the npc and accidentally punched my monitor. I won but I needed to buy a new monitor. Sadly did not play this again since then. (I have PTSD of breaking my monitor again)
Would recommend to rent a house with enough space before playing though.
100% a workout for me. Good for those who don't exercise.
I like the mechanics where you really need to punch faster so that you will hit heavier.
great work out and quite fun too
This is amazing. PURE game. Good excercise.
awesome game very tired from playing but very awesome
good luck in the morning you out of shape couch potato! that should be the first thing you read when you start the game.
Undefeated as an amateur boxer IRL. Still undefeated as a pro boxer in-game. Best boxing simulator ever. Plus, it's in VR!
my arms are about to fall off (:
Tuimalt taon
game got my heart rate to 223 bpm.i recommend it
yuh i like punching and you should too
Insanely good
Nice punching fun
9 years after release and this game has such realistic mechanics for VR boxing its a great cardio and even builds muscle as I got sore after playing consistently at first. Play at very small intervals to start 5-15min take frequent breaks as it can definitely knock the breath out of you. 10/10
W game the graphics are better in game than it looks in video.
I'M JUST A LITTLE MAC
Thrill of the Fight is VR boxing at its absolute finest—no fluff, no gimmicks, just raw, sweaty, heart-pounding action. This game doesn’t hold your hand; it throws you straight into the ring and dares you to survive.
The realism is insane. Every punch you throw, every block, and every dodge feels legit, like you’re really in there trading blows. The physics are on point, making you work for every victory. Forget button-mashing—this is about skill, stamina, and strategy. If you’re not drenched in sweat by the end of a match, you’re not doing it right.
What really stands out is the simplicity. There’s no over-the-top flash—just you, your opponent, and the fight. The intensity is addictive, and every victory feels earned. It’s perfect for fitness junkies, boxing enthusiasts, or anyone who just wants to throw hands in VR without pulling punches.
Bottom line? Thrill of the Fight is brutal, authentic, and ridiculously satisfying. If you’re looking for a VR experience that’ll leave you sore and grinning, this one’s a knockout.
Amazing game, great workout
but how do you play online?
This game is old, but remains the best VR boxing game so far.
Working out with VR has never been so fun and exhausting.
Something about having even the appearance of someone throwing a punch at you that raises your heart rate. I find this is one of the better boxing simulators.
Be prepared to sweat, and keep your arms pulled in.
IMPRESSION:
Minimally impacted fracture of the anterior aspect of the lateral femoral condyle. Small displaced linear fracture fragment in the lateral compartment of the knee. Large lipohemarthrosis. Edma around the knee.

Despite the fact that I now have to use crutches because of this game, it is a solid fitness VR experience. Having been released in July 2016, it’s over 8 years old as of this writing, and while it is outdated in some areas, there is nothing is too significant. That said, if you're looking for an affordable VR fitness game, this one will get the job done—just be cautious with your knees.
The best VR workout I have ever done. Very intense and fast paced and it feels very much like you're in the ring sparring. The graphics aren't great, but they're decent enough to work.
yes
nan jawed someone
A great game and awesome workout
Really intense and really fun.
Don't let the release date discourage you from getting the game. It might be 8 years old but it's still the best VR boxing sim out there. That's all you need to know. Get it already.
this game makes me very thrilled
My arms hurt
i would 100% recommend this game to anyone that wants to have fun and practice foot work, dodging ( reacting ), fighting skills , burn calories !!!
i paid the full $10, and i don't feel cheated. i never heard of this title before buying, but i figured 2 hours would be plenty of time to make my mind up about it. if you can take one step in any direction from your vr origin, and you can physically exert yourself for 10 minutes, don't even wait for the next chance to save $2--just buy.
gg
I beat meat for sport
I love punching sweaty men frfr
punch ooga booga
fun game, good for a quick indoor workout. only advice i could give is REMEMBER YOU HAVE A HEADSET ON. ive smacked the controller against the headset more times than i could count trying to block
lotta sponge around me
Why the hell isn't the second game tagged to this one? Do you even know how to market? I've had great fun with this game and some great workouts and the sequel isn't even tied to the news feed of this one? Are you begging for red on day one of launch? Guys, come on. Do your due diligence and get the sequel pumped for players of this one.
2nd game is dogshit as hell
