June 2024 Updates
The iRacing 2024 Season 3 Release Build is here! This release includes new content, upgrades, and fixes for 2024 Season 3, which officially starts on June 10th at 0000 UTC! iRacing adds two new GT3 cars, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R and the Ford Mustang GT3. We’ve also added a two-for-one deal with the new Street Stock - Casino & Eagle - two cars included in the same package! The iRacing map expands with three new pins: Circuito de Navarra (3 configs), Oswego Speedway (2 configs, Dirt Oval coming soon!), and Sachsenring. We’ve also added a new track configuration to Indianapolis Motor Speedway that matches how the circuit is raced in NASCAR.
As for features, we have BIG NEWS! This release will fully implement the New Damage Model on ALL VEHICLES in the entire service! That’s right, every single car will now benefit from the improved physics and visual experience brought by using the New Damage Model. A few vehicles have received special attention with this release, including the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) and the NASCAR Trucks Series Trucks. The Porsche has been updated to the latest available technical specifications, while the NASCAR Trucks Series Trucks have received significant updates and improvements based on research performed in partnership with NASCAR, as well as extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.
The iRacing application is also becoming fully featured with this release, with the addition of some long-awaited Stats and Results improvements: the Driver Leaderboard and Lap Charts & Lap Graphs. We are also rounding out the New Racer Onboarding experience by adding Sports Car as an option.
If you haven’t had enough to drink yet, you’re in luck - TEN additional vehicles are rain-ready, including the entire GT4 Class! And finally, all new content arrives AI-enabled. Get in gear and prepare for iRacing 2024 Season 3!

No other sim racing driving experience quite like iracing the best part is the multiplayer.
I raced Max Verstappen in F4 and got slapped, canned, sent back to Mongolian F5, spread wide open, pummelled, vaporized, disintegrated, curb stomped, abused and battered to a point where my dad came home with the milk to tell me to quit racing and become a monk in the Himalayas. Highly recommend.
i spend too much now im homeless :(
Assetto Corsa is better.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME THROUGH STEAM
iRacing is great, but the subscription through Steam will regularly fail and lock you out until you contact support. It will take the money from you, but iRacing support must manually check if you are actually active. Ask them to convert your account to an iRacing account.
Again, great game and absolutely shit integration with Steam.
I played this game for 2 months, couldn't get out of rookies.
WHAT KIND OF DEV TEAM THINKS THAT ITS OK TO PENALIZE YOU WHEN YOU GET HIT BY OTHER DRIVERS ON THE TRACK?
Really dumb.
nah too expensive but i dont have an option
please AC EVO be good
funny race car go brrr. i love the ford gtd
How to get iRacing Steam Hours without Active STEAM Subscription (Get Steam Hours with Normal iRacing Subscription)
1- Right Click iRacing in Steam Library > Properties
2- Paste "D:\CHANGEME\iRacing\ui\iRacingUI.exe %command%" into Launch Parameters
-Change the D:\CHANGEME above according to which drive and where your iRacing Directory is installed (C:, D:, E:) specifically the IRACINGUI.EXE file.
-E:G. I moved my iRacing Directory to Steam Library so mine is "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\iRacing\ui\iRacingUI.exe %command%"
3- Launch iRacing via Steam to rack up your hours.
Your first win will feel better than any drug availible on the market. You will become obsessed. You WILL spend 2 grand on sim racing hardware for a "MID" set up and you will re-new that monthly subscription.
You will not regret it......if you're man enough
THE racing simulator. I've had this game for a year now and it has taught me so much. It has tracked my hours weirdly though, but other than that this game is awesome.
The license system is unique to other games and instead gives players the basic fundamentals of driving cars like the mx5, formula 4 car, and other smaller, slower classes, until you get to drive a gt3 or a super formula car, and that's why you don't see people slam into the side of others on purpose like you do it GT7, the f1 games, or ACC. The license/Irating system gives players something to desire or race for. There are very very little trolls that you can find, usually in open practice sessions.
This isn't all sunshine and rainbows, however. The prices in this game are a bit absurd, tracks usually costing $15, and cars usually costing $12, on top of the monthly subscription and a racing setup which can cost you a couple hundred dollars. You do get a lot in return though, as the cars and tracks are highly detailed and realistic (at least to someone who has never been in a race car). I don't recommend getting this if you want an arcade/jump in and play sort of game. This a simulator that requires time, effort, dedication, and willingness. In my opinion, it's the best racing simulator you can get right now.
Zeer realistische game met goede crash en rij Physich. Een zeer goede aanrader voor Simracers die mee willen gaan doen met de top!
I thought Balatro was the most frustrating RNG-based game—until I played iRacing. Nothing like spending an entire race nailing your lines, only to get wiped out on the final lap by someone who forgot what brakes are. Luckily, my subscription’s up in a few days, so I can forget I ever played this game
mediocre at best. leaves you with an empty feeling after giving it money. on the same level as battle passes. dont waste your money or time. play GT7 instead.
I really like this game and for multiplayer racing this is the best option but I can not recommend it.
It's incredibly expensive, the netcode can be really bad and there are a lot of little things that stop me from truly enjoying the game.
iRacing is the best racing sim in the world, but the price gouging is unbelievable. Many use the excuse of it "keeping dumb kids who just want to wreck" out of the game, but in reality it's all just a way for the iracing team to exploit users for more and more money. Every single track other than a handful of free ones costs $16 USD, and cars cost about $12. If you want to race a single series for a full season, it'll be well over $100. It's literally thousands of dollars if you want the full experience. Either be rich or accept you'll be stuck in one or two series forever. It's pathetic.
It's okay as long as you can log in... Still ain't all that! I play mostly all the racing games that will except a wheel and peddles iRacing isn't worth all the hype! I paid for a year and got about a month before I was no longer able to log in, it was a special deal like $29 for a year! After 1 month Approximately, it no longer allowed me access, attempted support both through STEAM and iRacing to no avail! I feel ripped off...iRacing suggested I subscribe outside of steam I suspect so they get my personal info and attempt to sell me shit.
Anyway, fuck iRacing!
Great for competitive racing would highly recommend
I'm pretty sure that heroin is less addictive and expansive.
The most realistic and fun game I ever played
Realistic steep learning curve, but the juice is worth the squeeze
dont buy this , quality of racing is lower with higher splits , if you want to do formula cars or sport cars just wait for AC EVO or do good old Assetto Corsa. This isnt fun , and not worth it... I hope I can save you few hundred bucks
This has become my go to SIM!
Best VR experience out of all the SIM's I have tried.
DO NOT BUY THE GAME!!!! it is full of crybabies and the people that run the protest system will give you weeks and weeks of bans for the smallest of incidents if one of the crybabies protest you. Its racing theres gonna be contact its simply unavoidable but they dont care you will be banned. for a monthly paid service and having to buy every car and track at $15 each its simply not worth it because you wont be able to play for weeks at a time
very zoom zoom
Very poor Steam integration. If you're going to get iRacing, don't do it through Steam.
The oval racing banter is what makes it worthwhile
point system needs alot of work, shouldnt be going from 10th-3rd and get -5 lmao what a joke
unless you have a deep wallet, this game is just a money pit, takes the fun out of sim rracing
I have several hundred hours in this game (it doesn't always count correctly on steam) I also own quite a lot of additional content for the game.
There's no other game that offers what iRacing offers; good matchmaking with fantastic simulation quality. It's amazing how simple that is, but somehow this is the only game that really satisfies that need.
The penalty system often draws a lot of flak from new players, and it's not perfect, but it really does enforce a certain standard of driving, and at the end of the day is probably the best system in any of the major sims.
Forcing players to earn the right to drive faster cars also acts as an effective tutorial, restricting people from accessing harder to drive cars until they've proven they understand most of the game's systems.
While there's plenty of changes I'd make to this game, and the graphics aren't stunning; it still offers the best multiplayer racing of any game. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny!
Too many cunts. No fun with so many cunts. Wish there weren't so many cunts. Can't recommend, because there are too many cunts. [I played enough to get out of rookies...]
really realistic! would recommend to anyone who likes racing.
Could you guys make a setting for us controller users it’s way to fast to steer and it’s ridiculous should be able to be playable without a wheel as not everybody has one could atleast make a setting for console controllers especially if we having to pay for the game plus subscription and everything else please fix this asap it’s unfair thank you
It's the BEST Sim-Racing Game and if you can afford it then I would 100% suggest buying it, I use the 6-month subscription because I believe its a great in between
very realistic physics. like you can really feel how the car is behaving.
I've have a drug addiction yet somehow iracing is still more expensive
i advocated for a clean race considering the first 10 races i do some random has their car pinned and plows across the whole track to wreck everyone. so i type that people need to pay attention..they get mad start a fight in the chat..proceed to report ME..the employees at iracing ban ME. they support the players that know nothing about racing and ruin every race by wrecking abd plowing into people from bhind/beside anywhere and they ban the ones that advocate for clean racing. i'll never play unless i get a chance to buy the whole company. theres a few things that need changed obviuosly and itd be easy to do.
Signed up for a rallycross race and did 30 minutes of practice. Started the race got a great start, led the entire 1st lap. hit the side of the car into a wall in turn 2 of lap 2 got unrepairable wheel damage and had to DNF. 10/10 would do it again.
Steam you really need to get with the program on dual use of wallet funds for backup payments when applicable. Such a mess with this current format. Unreal.. Absolute headache.
Yeah, great game but if starts to crack under its own weight. I'll explain why I quit it after 8 years.
I don't want to stress myself battling wheel to wheel with the best drivers, I just want to have a fun battle from time to time. So I drive some bad races, my iRating drops and then have fun with some weaker players and battle for P1. Well, apparently this is "iRating manipulation" or something like this, so I've been banned for 4 weeks because some frustrated loser made a protest about this.
Well, I personally don't accept such stupid things, so this is the end of my beautiful relation with iRacing. Fortunately my subscription ends in november and I will not renew it. But it's a shame that it had to end like this. Apparently they just don't want my money anymore.
Other problems with iRacing: you buy cars and tracks only to find out one year later that they are not used anymore, and are replaced with other cars and tracks that you have to buy and so on and on.
It's weird how they are very careful to ask for 10-15 euros per car/track, but don't care that they with lose subscribers that pay 100/year beacause of completely exagerrated punishments for stupid reasons.
I like the competition in iRacing a lot, the grids is usually well filled and the racing is very fun.
It does cost some more money then most simracing games out there, but its great fun!
>pay
>car go fast
>fun, entertained
>life good, but bank empty
do you like gambling?... then this game is perfect for the money that you will never get back...
This game is like a drunk dad getting home from work and taking his anger out on his children.
This game is perfect for drunk drivers as they can get into a race and just kill people without the prison sentence.
This game is great 10/10 would recommend
This is a very good Racing game real life competitors I love to play
Good game. Very good racing. I'm having fun like NO other simulator I've ever played.
But this shit is way too expensive. Way too expensive specially for someone in a 3rd world country.
They will side with the person that takes you out if you retaliate, they will ban you if you cuss. You can be taken out but god forbid you say ( F"!> this you'll be chat banned), you are wasting your money because they don't want hear your opinion even if it's productive. Please send your $12 a month to a upstart of some kind. The rules say no kids under 14 or 16 but that doesn't matter you'll be crashed by them then cussed out by them. Iracing has went down hill really fast, if it was 2 years ago I would have recommended it but not now unless you only run league races, official races are broken because of the kids trolling. I've wasted $1,000 on this "SIM" please don't do the same.
DO NOT Buy this on steam, everytime theres an update it just a hassle. Install it through iracing then ask for a steamcode. Only reason its getting a recommeneded is becaucse its steams fault
Not a game but a simulator. If you know the difference, then you will probably love this game. In VR it takes it to the next level.
At the time of writing this, it is week 13 of Season 3 for 2024, and I will admit, outside of Steam's interface and market for the way the iRacing memberships work, this is quite a fun game to get into and does make for a fun hobby, too! I personally recommend going through iRacing.com to try to get your content and memberships, but over all, if anyone is looking at trying to get into sim racing, it's very much well worth it! It does pay, however, to join up with a racing team (which there's quite a few out there that are rookie accessible on the iRacing forums and Discord server! Well worth it, especially if you want to experience what the pros go through!
I think i like it better than ACC and AC. The ranking system is better and it seems to me I get much closer racing. The formula/open-wheel experience kicks the crap out of anything else out there too. It's on the expensive side no doubt, but I've spent money on far far worse.
