Free Drive mode doesn't feel too free if your fuel keeps running out too quickly
It initially costs $24.99 (Which feels extremely expensive for what it is) and luckily it goes on sale for as low as $2.49, and even then it doesn't feel worth it.
Extremely poorly optimised, constant .dll errors regarding pedestrians. Crashes every 4 minutes. Gameplay is decent, providing freeroam and mission esque capabilities however this game is insanely overpriced and steering wheel support is atrocious. I highly advise anyone without a GPU not to play this game as it will not be supported. Nor will it be supported on laptop.
Cant' even play the free driving mode. Unable to load some f u c king sh!t. Said the f u c king Starter.exe bullsh!t. Do not buy this game. Absolute waste of f u c king money.
Nah this game is terrible man. It takes ages to load anything, and the UI looks so unfriendly. My biggest gripe however, is that on the TUTORIAL level, following the games exact prompts, I wasn't able to get the car to move. I tried on two separate keyboards, and two separate gamepads, thinking something of mine was the issue, but nothing I did made the car move. Not to mention it feels like the game lies to you in its tutorial, like there's a further step you need to do to accelerate that it doesn't tell you. Even if this game was free, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, its barely worth the storage space it takes up on your computer.
Just wanted a game where I could drive around mindlessly to relax with.
Tried using a gamepad, found out I needed to use and hold like three different keys just to put the car into drive. Immediately put it into drive and the car stopped. Gamepad support exists, but you'll need half your keyboard to actually do anything. Didn't feel like looking up how to operate the controls that required more than just a gamepad and just uninstalled.
Controls are shitty. UI is garbage. Maybe this is for some people, but it wasn't for me.
I am very disappointed that the game mode "Free Ride" does not work even after reinstalling.

Game that seems very funny, but i struggled to try the free roam, 'cause i have no dedicated graphics card.
After buying it, i searched and then i found that it is necessary to run the free roam, idk why but it is fine.
Please for the second game of the saga (waiting for it ;) ) change this option if you can, so we can run this game even on a portable pc or something like that :)

I've played (different accounts, don't get confused by this 7 hours) a lot with this title.
It is what it seems. It is what it costs. For something similar to "driving schools" in a gaming-fancy style, it works...
It has some details of good effort on several things, but the main aspects that make me summarize my review as NEGATIVE is simple:
- Physics suck.
- Sounsd suck.
- FOV is not something you can setup. Therefore it renders this title completely absurd, because you are looking for a "realistic" point of view while driving,and a static non-customizable Field of View is going to annoy a high % of users. 80? 90?.
If you want to "enjoy" this title, you have to be a little bit blind and deaf.
Good try, anyway. Appreciate the effort by the developers.
Game keeps crashing on free driving.. When it doesn't crash the car is stuck and won't move very disappointed..

I bought it on sale for $3. It's ok for what it is. If you like to drive around cities in a car with proper steering wheel & pedal with telemetry support, BeamNG Drive is 1000 times better for just a little bit more. Hopefully, the upcoming City Car Driving 2 will be much better.
To be honest, Reviews seem like bots. I purchased this game on deal at £2 even though the game is £20, I was like this is a great deal so I went ahead and purchased it but then ass soon as i loaded in it was as if it was made in 1998 for a "realistic" car simulator I can confirm there are far more realistic vehicles games out there. Even at £20 this game is shockingly over priced and no one should buy this at that price.
Not to mentioned wheel compatibility is shocking you arnt able to set any wheel up like moza or fanatec, change key binds or have accessibility to controller settings. The graphics are low qualtity etc.
I hope this helps you not purchase an overpriced game
probably the worst driving simulation game available, and quite expensive, the graphic is shabby and the worst is the control, i have wheel and pedal for other simulation game, this one is just unplayable, you can never tune the turnting feedback to even remotely realistic, for a simulation game, you can only imagine you are driving in a different planet with different physics
Да я реально учился водить тачку с помощью мыши и клавиатуры, спасибо разрабы это очень полезно. Правда есть пару минусов, нельзя нарушать правила вообще никак - сразу перезапуск. Стрелять из машины с двух рук нельзя, одной руки тоже неполучается, грабить магазины банки с помощью автоматов тоже нельзя, выйти из машины нельзя, подключить знакомого инструктороа нельзя.
В общем, я так полагаю, разрабы задумывали сделать исключительно обучающую игру, тоесть это не кавер на гта 5 поэтому покупатели учтите данный факт
Was impossible for me to calibrate my steering wheel correctly, and after searching everywhere NOTHING worked. Just save yourself some money and wait for the 2.0 version coming soon
it's one of those realistic games that you cannot get bored of, really fun to play. I play on a controller so the steering is kinda difficult but nevertheless, one of the best games i've bought yet!
Pointless garbage with terrible graphics and even worse controls. Save yourself the trouble and try BeamNG instead. I'm glad I only paid $2.49 for this turd of a game.
nice game but can be better with graphic rain and mirror quality i have a i7 and 4060 so i can run it easily in ultra max setting and STILL needs graphic upgrade with mirror but i say 8/10 NICE

Not even an hour, but the experience was all-around frustrating. Gave it another chance by going into free play/roam. Car didn't have any gas loading into the map, and the solution I was given was to get to a gas station... With no gas.
Not an enjoyable (finished) product. No satisfaction from accomplishments, only frustration from game mechanics.
The career mode is unreasonably difficult and not clear to know what is correct or not correct. Having to start over during the basic course and driving exam is frustrating. Difficulty level should be more gradual. Can't get the steering wheel to be more precise no matter what force feedback settings combination; sensitivity, dead zone, linearity for the wheel. Set the G29 driver pretty neutral to let the game take over.
i really don't recommend it. it has the quality of a cheap android game. it gets stuck on loading screens and it's really low quality...
there almost no speed limit signs + the margins of what speed you need to maintain are too small + sometimes the speed limit goes frrom 20 to 60 and if you dont go to 40 you get a penalty + going 60 on a 60 road will give you a penalty

Hello! This is a great game about cars. This game helps you learn the rules of driving in the city and in the parking lot. I advise new players to immediately choose a car with an automatic transmission, so it will be more convenient to figure out the game.
game isn't well optimized for low-end devices or those with integrated graphics; there're often issues with loading textures or video glitches.
This game is good but it keep crashing my game while i start driving in free drive so the price is not worth it.

I hate to give negative reviews, but this game is a hot mess right now. I bought it during the Fall sale so I didn't spend a ton on it, but even so just getting the game to run has been a challenge. I'm not even bothered about the graphics, which are dated as others have commented, but it crashes to desktop constantly.
First and foremost, I bought this game to play in VR, and I couldn't get VR to work at all using a Quest 3. I tried it both with Virtual Desktop and Steam Link, but it just crashes back to desktop loading the game. I never got it to work at all in VR.
Secondly, even running it flat, it crashes constantly. I'm able to at least start the game and run through the settings playing it flat, but when I try to run free roam (or free ride, whatever they call it), it would crash to desktop again with an error loading textures. I tried 3 or 4 different maps and finally got one to load, only to crash to desktop again about 3 minutes into my ride. At this point I just threw my hands up and gave up.
On the plus side, it did recognize my Fanatek setup, but right now the game is FAR too unstable to recommend.
I could return it as I'm still within my 2 hours trial, but since I got it so cheap, I'll hang on to it and try it again after a few updates. What little I saw looked promising.
Abandoned game, no support for newer steering wheels, no option to change audio output, several issues using a newer VR headset, overall a bad experience.
Have literally never been able to launch this game without getting an infinite loading screen. Been trying everything between heaven and earth since I bought the game 2 years ago. They wouldn't even give me a refund then.
Don't buy it with Logitech G29 device.
I refund this game is because in-game has 1050 (or 1080) degrees of steering, and my G29 only has 900⁰.

The most realistic car game I've seen. In this game you could do no hesi, drift (not really the best buuut I'd say its realistic) and roleplay solo. This is the real deal to be fair. You can play it on a hot potato and it'll run amazing. Tons of options to choose from to enhance gameplay e.g. choosing if a car swerves into your lane randomly or emergency breaking or if npc cars crash into eachother. Honestly I cannot describe this game into one review from how much options and stuff you can do/choose from. ALSO, THE BEST BIT OF THE GAME ARE THE MODS! GO INTO WORKSHOP AND DOWNLOAD CARS. GAME CHANGER!!! (some might not work. majority do)

I don't criticize graphics and overall content, as it is pretty decent.
However there are things, that made me stop playing after several hours... of trying.
I have Ryzen 3 4300G (IGPU) with 32 GB RAM (4 GB shared VRAM) and the game isn't playable.
Actually on low settings i get like >100 FPS, and on medium >30 FPS. So you may ask what's the problem?
The problem is this: for several seconds... Yes, you read it right!
For some reason it constantly drops, and after a couple of minutes it's less than 10!
I know, that integrated graphics have their limitations, but come on, it's 2024 and they are quite popular.
I can play solid looking games without a problem.
Another problem is, that while steering and braking both work fairly well, then the clutch is rather a nonsense. Even if you release it rapidly, you can't practically stop the engine, and instead you get automatic transmission effect. For a game pretending to be realistic it's quite basic principle. As for gas pedal, its release should have much stronger impact on slowing down engines rpm and then the vehicle.
Also the fueling tend to be problematic. I accidentally emptied a custom vehicle and there is no way to refuel it, neither conventional, nor cheatcode.
The A.I. isn't that bad certainly, still there are often strange moments with it, and why it's my fault of its bad behavior.?

I got my real driver's license yesterday and BRO THIS GAME HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH DIFFICULT, I NEVER PLAYED A GAME WITH EXTREME IMPOSSIBLE DIFFICULT ACTIVATED!!!!! "it's completly different on real life"
An example of a "Great idea, horrendous execution".
The good:
- Extremely complicated driving system. Full on simulated law, traffic decision, with rules and signs enforcing you - the driver, to drive accordingly to the law.
- Good vehicle simulation. Fuel usage, braking system, mechanical failure,... The general feeling of driving a vehicle around town is very good and semi realistic, although this can falls short at times.
- Excellent optimization. Runs great on a variety of spec. Both my i3 4gb ram laptop and a i7 12th with 3070 run superb with little to no slowdown.
- Nice variety of weather effects. Rain, foggy, snow all affect the vehicle capabilities on the road, with corresponding effect on grip, visibility, and braking effectiveness.
The bad:
- Dated graphic. I understand this game has been going on for quite sometime, but the environment reeks of boredom, the vehicles are no different - interior looks like it was ripped from a 2002 game, which for today standard - doesn't look appealing too much.
- Small selection of vehicles & maps. Barely any space to drive around, as the maps are separated into segments - either for optimization purpose, or to prevent conflicting road rule (?). Either way, this make driving around very, very boring after a while. The small selection of vehicles doesn't help much neither, but thankfully there're mods for that. Lots of vehicle mods to choose from.
- Little activities on Free Play mode. You can drive around, get some random assignment for zero purpose, and try to become a Grab driver or a shipper via the phone (F key). Aaand that's about it, nothing more.
The ugly. Very, very u g l y.
- Abysmal programming. Bugs are EVERYWHERE - from randomly violating the law, passengers sometime act like a b**ch as they suddenly become very picky at their drop off point, etc...
- The worst of it all (You know it's soo fucking bad this deserves it own point). CRASHES
Yes, no not crashes in traffic accidents. It's actual, actual GAME CRASHES. This game like to throw a crash error ANYWHERE, ANYTIME it wanted. Oh so you want to load a map? Nah here's a tga file loading error, good luck fucking reboot it. Oh so you managed to load into a map and strolling around for 3 minutes? Nah here's a freezing crash, good fucking luck taskkill it. Or even better, you just booted up the game? Nah here's a "bad" exception error, go fuck yourself or something.
It's a niche game when it works, and when it does sometime the game's great. But all of that great points were completely shadowed by the crashes. Does not recommending this game. I have 6 hours on this game - over an hour was spent to diagnose and try to fix it only to be met with a crash. Buy this one ON SALE ONLY, AND ONLY IF YOU HAVE WAY TOO MUCH TIME TO SPARE.
The bad reviews are full of crap, this is game makes me feel like I'm in Drive (2011), and it's GREAT, super realistic
не плохой симулятор вождения автомобиля с многими фишками но некоторые действия не очень реалистичны как пример система торможения но это практически не заметно а так игру советую попробовать.
забыл еще кое что за что можно дать жырный плюс это мастерская где просто нажимаешь на кнопку подписатся и мод сам скачивается как итог 10/110
