A Mission Most Dire
Gotta Go is a game about navigating to the finish line. As the title and theme would imply; the finish line is the bathroom. Unfortunately, players are faced with the same challenge one might face in this very situation in real life. Co-workers are chatty folks, and they will seize on any opportunity to fill players ears with their inane blatherings. Players must use their abilities, power-up items and the layout of the office to make the great office crossing to find sanctuary in the porcelain palace.
The Pressure is On
Of course, players can take it nice and slow if there isn’t any pressure to get to the bathroom quickly. Unfortunately, there is pressure, lots of it. Players will need to keep an eye on the Gastric Gauge which serves as a constant reminder of their impending needs. In addition to managing their dwindling time players will have to keep an eye on the Shame-o-Meter which displays how much attention Gus has accumulated on his journey through the office. Persistent from level to level, the Shame-O-Meter indicates how close the Human Resources department is to firing the player, so behave!
Avoid Co-workers
As players talk to co-workers and navigate through their conversations time keeps on ticking. While avoiding co-workers is the first line of defense, some are bound to catch up and start a conversation. When the pressure is on and players have no time to spare they can bellow “Shut up!”, “Talk to the Hand!” or any number of other rude dismissals that will allow them to avoid conversation. Of course, this doesn’t go over well with HR and will rack up some shame on the Shame-O-Meter.
Manage the Pressure
Pressure can be a real problem. When the Gastric Gauge reaches its limit the unthinkable will happen. Avoiding this conclusion at all costs is the very core of the player's mission in Gotta Go. Thankfully, there are actions one can take to delay the relentless march of the pressure gauge. One such action is the tactical release of gaseous pressure. The fart. Although this will allow players to reclaim some of their dwindling time it runs the risk of irritating co-workers who might file a report with HR or chase them down for a confrontation.
Use Resources Wisely
In addition to releasing clouds of noxious gas to forestall the inevitable, players can find power-ups like “Bipto-Pesmol” to calm their tumultuous guts and further delay their doom. In addition to power-ups that calm the ailing stomach, players can find power-ups that repair their damaged reputation and reduce the “Shame-O-Meter” like the TPS report.
Add Some Flavor to Your Playthrough
Additionally, players will be able to modify difficulty levels and toggle a list of “topping” options that will allow them to drastically change the way the game plays. These changes will require different strategies and change the scores received in arcade mode. For example, adding the topping of “Onions” will make it easier to tell co-workers to shut up but will make it more costly on the Shame-O-Meter.
Salvation or Soiled?
Of course there are only two ways this ends, in silent success or a very public failure. Can you save Gus’ pants or will they end up soiled?

great game
Interesting and kinda unique game, fun for a bit, then starts to get super frustrating with many poor mechanics and bugs. Even on easiest difficulty there are sometimes swarms of people that there is no way around them and no places to hide, forcing interactions. Many optimizations failing causing the game to lag, and my computer runs high graphics games, so this should not have an issue. In general good randomization of NPC but sometimes too random, and they all end up wandering to the same places and blocking corridors.
In the end, just ended frustrated instead of enjoying the game as i was expecting

Story of my life!
This is a funny game. The reason that I disliked it is due to just how boring the game is. Everytime its just the same thing get papers,avoid coworkers,find the bathroom,make it to the bathroom. Then you keep doing it over and over. The sides (or whatever the thing was called) just make the time go faster. But I love the snappy remakes! But i do not recommend the game.
This game has stick figure characters, which, I thought was so we disassociate ourselves to the characters and therefore find it easier to laugh at them like when the coworkers do when you shit yourselves but the game is actually supposed to make you sympathetical for the protagonist with a donation option for those with the same issue, which I appreciate but the game delivers the message very differently than the way it should.
I bought this game thinking it'd be a nice easy laugh but it's not. it's hard and serious.
great game, surprisingly fresh although remarkably simplistic
Doesn't take long to feel totally conversant with the game mechanics and just accept the fact that apparently the most eventful moments in your life (or what about you would be made into a video game) are essentially when ya gotta poop
One can disport in this game's charming wonder and just enjoy some silliness

I bought this myself, did NOT receive a copy for free.
This game is fun to play, not overly complicated, and is good for a few out loud laughs. Definitely a great game for the pricepoint.
Could use some additional features, to really grab you, like leaderboards (as another reviewer mentioned). As it sites, after 30mins to an hour, you might be struggling to keep playing.
If you have some friends over though, the game will shine again. Great game to watch as well as play.

This is a fun game where you have to avoid pooping your pants by making your way past the pesky coworkers on the way to the restroom. Fart in the bushes, pick up the TPA reports to get in the good graces of HR, and insult people too!
Pros: Good replayability, few bugs, challenging mode on hard, modifiers (try shrooms for first person), $5 price, achievements, funny premise, some storyline
Cons: Sometimes the fart in the bushes will bug and still be smelt by coworkers, not too much content (2-4 hours total), bugged achievement after I unlocked all of the modifiers/toppings and no achievement unlocked, no emoticons or trading cards, music gets redundant
Recommendations to the developers: Add different music for each level, add an endgame cutscene, fix the few bugs, and add the steam emoticons! Great job on the game! :D
