Endless Games
Tabletop Simulator has it all. The base game includes 15 classics like Chess, Poker, Jigsaw Puzzles, Dominoes, and Mahjong. Additionally, there are thousands of community created content on the Workshop. If you’re the tabletop gaming type, we include an RPG Kit which has tilesets & furniture, as well as animated figurines that you can set up and battle with your friends, with even more options in the Chest. There’s even an option for Game Masters so they can control the table!
Create Games
If you’re into creativity and prototyping, you can easily create your own games by importing images onto custom boards & tables, create custom decks, import 3D models, create scripts, and much more. You can choose to upload your creations on the Steam Workshop or share them privately with your friends.

Its piracy for boardgames.
It works well enough and allows you to play lots of different boardgames with friends over the internet, almost everything can be gotten from the workshop. There is not much more to say.
Awesome! It just feels like you are one step removed from playing the actual board game. Vassal is good… but it’s a “computer game” version of the same board game. I feel more comfortable in the table top simulator environment, where I’m “virtually” lifting, moving, rolling and shuffling all the pieces like I would be with the real board game.
Takes a while to get used to, but can be very useful and effective if configured correctly.
Lowkey didnt expect it to be this fun, its very open ended so you can practically play any game you want 9/10

it's totally worth it, the workshop is great, it's super easy to make your own cards and boards if you know how to make basic PNGs, you can play pretty much any party game online with your friends, I can't recommend it enough
Absolutely would recommend! It allows you to basically emulate ANY board game you can think of, and the workshop mods for this are incredible!
There are a lot of board games in the workshop. At the start, before learning the shortcuts and before using the workshop you would not like the game but after learning it is easier than real life playing. Obviously playing with friends face to face is better but it is difficult to schedule, so this is a pretty good product.
If you have good friends that you know you can enjoy all the tabletop games digitally then this game will be perfect for you. Def pair together with discord and if you're ever upset just flip the table out of rage! This game is only worth it to play with people you trust and won't be shitty or dramatic.
My friends and I use this to play commander a lot and we have lots of fun
So much potential in such an affordable package. Get this. If you like ANY TABLETOP GAME ***ANY*** then this right here is how you bring it to virtual reality. It doesnt have to be done in VR, but it can be. And I mean any (obviously not any but I have found all I have thought I'd like to play).
If you love board games, rpgs or wargames, this game is a must have.
The number of games available from the community is incredible.

Really huge game, if you wanna play any boardgame or ttrpg online, this is the best way to do it. Annoying detail for any completionists out there is that you need to play the game for 1000 hours for one of the achievements, but thats definitely not a reason to avoid this game. Good game, 9/10
Overall a great game with good game play and action. I spend hours each day playing it, thinking I am just going to play for a little bit, but then spend hours. And the core story is pretty good.
Lots of fun and a great community that helps to play tabletop games with friends far and wide. Good for people without a local game scene.
It's janky. Very janky. So very, very janky.
It's got a steep learning curve, bad UI/UX, and subpar documentation. But it's the best way to digitally prototype tabletop games at the moment, by a LONG-SHOT.
I don't have any coding or game development experience, but with the help of ChatGPT, I'm slowly building logic and rules for a digital card game that I'd like to make. TTS is providing the platform for prototyping, and once I have the rules defined in-game, I'll invite my friends and others with TTS to play test with me. While I'm still in the early stages of development (I spent 4 hours today trying to figure out and troubleshoot why cards weren't being automatically dealt when a player discarded from his hand), I'm excited that I have a platform where a novice like me can get my idea onto the computer.
I also see the potential of playing D&D with friends from all over the country. My Brother-in-Law, who got me into D&D lives several states away, and he loves to DM campaigns. I'll introduce TTS to him to see if he wants to run something virtually for us to play together again.
The next best thing to playing face to face with your friends and family, and not set up or tear down time either!
This game is worth more than what i paid for ... so many games you can play with other people .. very fun !
If you ever wondered if it was possible to play chess with your friend that moved to the other side of the country in such a way that you won't lose the option to move one of his pieces when he's not looking, then look no further. Tabletop Simulator has you covered.
Just an essential game to own on Steam. This has introduced me to so many different board games that I now own physical copies of. Can't recommend it enough. Controls may feel clunky at the start but the overall experience you get from this is unbeatable. Smooth, expansive, and downright awesome with the Steam Workshop. It's pretty amazing what you can do/play with friends through this piece of software!
Electronic TableTops make it easier to setup and cleanup. However, this one won't play over hotel WIFI. Some of the controls need to be redesigned, and it should start by default with the inability to tip the table, drop pieces through the earth, or otherwise break the gaming experience. (Not sure if it's even possible to prevent these things, but if it is, they aren't on by default, and they should be.) All that aside, scripting can make or break a game. Try some, see if you like em. BoardGameArena is another environment for this.
Enjoying this one a ton. Love the ability to play board games with my friends who live hours away. Easily better than the online sites.
I mean what's there to really say about table top other than I feel like all steam downloads should come with it at this point. The variety of this simulator is great, I'm glad I have it and have bought it for quite a few friends.
Pros if it even needs any
1. Lots of different games to play
2. Goes up to eight players in most cases some more or less
3. Is pretty well coded, though it can be buggy
4. A pretty handy tutorial to learn the controls
5. Even those not good with games normally can learn how to play this with a helping hand
Cons
1. The only "bad thing" I can say is the fact it doesn't have EVERY game out there but, I also know that's impossible.
2. The few bugs I've run into but, usually google has helped me fix them
Honestly I feel like you should just get it the only reason I'd suggest not to is if you don't have anyone to game with. Even then there's a lot of public lobbies you can join, and while I haven't done so I am sure they are welcoming.
I have had this game in the back of my mind for years. Recently wanted to play a random dice game I heard about with my sister who lives in another state, so I finally bought it. Within 10 minutes I had created the game we wanted to play, and it was great. The features and interface are much cooler and more user friendly than I imagined. I expect to have a lot of fun playing other peoples' games and making more of my own.
Wish I had gotten this MUCH sooner!
I'm simply impressed by the mechanics and wonderful simplicity of this game.
Game? More like a program within one to enjoy old-school games. It's smooth, it's fun, and one I hope to always have available.

A fun time with friends! A great sandbox for it's time with an incredible workshop.
This is a great way to play tabletop games when you can't in person: board games, card games, and miniature wargames. While it has its limitations, there are a lot of amazing community built mods out there. It also lets you play with other people across the world, and to play games you might not physically have.
This is also a great tool for game designers, game testing, and crowd-funding demos.
Fantastic way to play most board games but I use it mostly for playing MTG with friends and it works great for that!
It is an effective way to play and make games digitally. The physics and movement takes some getting used to but is good once you're familiar with it.
I really enjoy this game and all the modding you can do with this game.
however to the people who play magic the gathering on here should really be reported because nobody is beginner friendly and take it too seriously. like just because you cant afford the real cards in real life does not mean you have to be toxic towards the entire community and be a sore loser.

This is the best game out there that allows you to play the best games out there!
I use this to play D&D with my friends and let me say it really feels like it bridges the gap and feels like we're all at the same table sometimes! For anything other than D&D I have no clue how well it functions but it seems like it has endless possibilities.
A bunch of table games in one, buying it is acquiring happiness, tabletop is mother and father and who agrees just breathe.
You better know people in advance to play with. It is really tricky to just hope someone joins a game you have thrown up.
We use it for D&D which has been nice if you don't play it with people who are closer lol.
This is one of those games where you don't think you'll spend that much time, but you end spending way more than you should've. I don't know what it is about just getting down to play some regular tabletop games, but there's just something about it that makes it so fun for some reason. And with the ability to easily download custom games from the workshop, or even make your own games, the possibilities are endless (especially with friends). 9/10
This program is a total and utter mess.
Stay away, if I have to pick board game night via TTS or no board game night I much rather have no boardgame night.
Tons of content options along with assets you can customize yourself. And if you don't feel like doing a ton of custom work the workshop for this game is awesome. Easily one of the best options for game nights with friends.
The modding community makes this one of the best valued purchases on steam.
Some call it board game piracy, but I often use this to play test games I haven't bought yet.
Nothing worse than buying a board game, playing it, realizing it's not for your group, and then shelving it for the rest of its life until you sell it for <50% original value.
With TTS I can now play with friends and see if we like the game, and then committing to the purchase.
Also after COVID killed board game nights, this helped continue board game nights online.
But the BIGGEST plus is that you can SAVE games and come back easily. You can make devastating rule breaking mistakes and just reload to an old state.
10/10 would flip table again.
I've been DMing for 5th Edition D&D games both in-person and online since 2015.
I've tried every other VTT, including roll20, and foundry.
This is hands down the best for maps and minis, you have the most control with the least amount of micro-transactions. use D&Dbeyond for your character sheets and this is the most customizable by far. Use Heroforge for minis and you're good to freaking go dude.
mods can end up eating up storage. A notice or better tools for managing caching would be cool, but not necessary.
Perfect to play all types of games with friends abroad! If you're unsure, and like card/board games? Just get it, it'll be worth it :)
