overall its good but has alot of bugs in it so i would suggest to buy it later.
I like the game a lot, but I would prefer to have AI Busses in the sim to add that extra bit of immersion.
iwant love it but ahmm no tutorial like i cant drive umm how to pick a passanger its very hard to use hehe well 78% goods
Good game if u wanna chill. No thoughts, just bus.
Runs at 40fps on highest settings on my RX6600
Okay, Admittedly I have not played it for long however I have been messing around with it. Given the negative reviews saying it's un optimised, glitching etc etc. Yes, it glitches now and then, no it does not appear to be un optimised. To me that is a symptom of Unreal Engine 5.
If you told me when I was 14 that one day there would be a 1:1 scale bus simulator, I would have literally jumped for joy. THIS is what OMSI was meant to be, and THIS is actually surprisingly better optimised then that.
Yes, as said some glitching, some graphical issues especially with TSR on. However, unplayable? No, People do not seem to realise the scope of this project 1 TO 1 size map of Berlin, meaning FULL scale. Hence it still being early access, sure it's a "paid demo" essentially. However I bought in to it hoping that this project will prosper, and I would love for it to become the Euro Truck Simulator 2 of the bus world however given the 1 to 1 scale, it would be in development for 20 years like that hahaha.
Over all, read other reviews and make your own conclusion, however I do not mind it at all
the infamous stuttering Unreal Engine...
Badly optimized.

The Bus is pretty much your typical bus simulator game, but it's more realistic than arcade-ish gameplay. The map is based on the city of Berlin looks quite good, though you certainly need to borrow NASA's computer if you want to run this on a high setting. Mind you, I'm running an RTX4060, and stuttering is still a problem. It's gotten better from the time I bought it, but it won't go well on less powerful PCs.
The bus models are pretty good, although some sounds are inaccurate for sure. Won't go into detail on that, because if I did, it would end up being a rant rather than a proper review. Exterior modelling does the buses justice, though the lack of branding may throw one off. Not to worry, the modding community has you covered on that.
Driving is probably easier than James May sitting there, though not doing what he said on Top Gear. Jokes aside, it doesn't handle like a car (obviously). Physics-wise, it handles like a yellow brick on wheels. Drive slow and you will be fine.
Is it worth the price? A bit tough to say. It's a love-hate relationship with the problems and the enjoyment of this game. So I would say you should go for it if you have money to spare.
Disgusting. It's been in Early Access for a good few years now. In that time, performance is terrible, the game looks disgusting, lighting is phenomenally broken, AI cars look worse than in games 20 years ago, LODs are disgusting. I do not recommend it at all.
Very Good bus game on of the best bus game i played but needs a lot of fixes !!
Boat driving simulator
I really wanted to like The Bus, but after 4 years in Early Access, it’s honestly pretty disappointing.
The performance is still rough — low FPS, random stutters — basically the same problems we’ve seen in every other TML and Aerosoft game. It just doesn’t feel well-optimized at all.
The driving physics don’t feel right either. Buses handle weirdly and unrealistically, which really kills the immersion.
On top of that, the menu, HUD, and overall UI feel clunky and outdated, like something from years ago. It’s not intuitive and it really drags down the whole experience.
It’s honestly sad that in 2025 we still don’t have a proper bus simulator.
TML and Aerosoft have made several bus games now, but they still haven’t managed to deliver something that truly feels polished or complete.
At some point, we have to stop accepting games like this just because they look nice or promise a lot.
I’m not asking for a miracle. Just a stable, polished, and realistic bus sim.
The Bus could’ve been that, but right now, it’s really not.
Wouldn’t recommend it in its current state.
Great game, easy to jump into, is realistic, immersive and has a decent amount of content. Steam workshop integration is fantastic and has plenty of great mods.
Some bugs here and there but they rarely happen in my experience and the game generally runs fine for me.
Would recommend if you like to drive busses and want an immersive driving experience.
Excellent game even in beta, for the reviews complaining that their laging or has bad performance, you just gotta have a good pc or device to run this beautiful game, very enjoyable and fun to play. This is the best bus simulator ive ever played
I take it twice already in the hope that it will be good, this is a disaster, it's boring, literally, for this money, this is garbage
i get it that the game its in early access and whatnot but i dont understand how you can make a game run this bad... my pc has the recommended requirements and even a bit better, but the game still runs at 30 fps or lower. its somehow becoming even worse with every update, that supposedly have performance fixes. i remember the game running at a "stable" 40 fps some months back, now getting 30 is a miracle. this is to not talk about the driving itself, which feels like shit, at least on default settings. even after setting it up a bit the FFB is extremely bad and the physics feel weird. i wouldnt recommend this game as of now.
The game runs but it lags every second and the quality is very poor i cant get anywhere without lagging and i spent 30 quid would not recommend this
I only recommend if you have at the very least the recommended hardware specifications. That being said, you also need to play around with some of the graphics settings to get it to look just right. I downgraded the highest AA setting because it capped the resolution percentage at like 60 but then has a lot of blurry lines and shimmering. TAA with resolution percentage set at 150 looks much better (although you have to type in 150 as the slider only goes to 100).
Once I got the settings where I liked them, put in some nice mods from the workshop, and set my key bindings to my liking, I am happy with it and it looks very good.
This is still in perpetual early access so I have had some occasional freezes, but hopefully the developers fix those bugs before going full ahead (whenever that might be).
is very realistic
Verry detailed, mods are easy & fun to play with.
runs like garbage on a rtx 4080 super
Fix the graphics , its not good , statering, no no fix
In this state of the game, it is not recomended to buy. Yea it is cool and realistic but still it have gone even worse than at the start. Perfomance is garbage and graphic is going good to bad because DLSS shit box :D
it is very goog

Its a beuatifull and highly realistic game. Its still in beta so expect so much more to come!
this is a great bus simulator however there are not many custom maps and busses
*The Bus* is a fantastic game that offers players an authentic bus-driving experience. While it runs at only 20 fps on a mid-range setup, which might discourage some players, it’s impossible to deny that the game is visually stunning. The detailed environments and bus models are incredibly well-crafted, providing a realistic look at urban transportation.
Despite the low frame rate, the driving experience is still immersive, especially because of the beautiful graphics that let you escape into the world of public transit. If you have a more powerful computer, you'll likely enjoy the game in all its visual glory with smoother performance, but even at lower fps, the effort to deliver high-quality graphics and realistic environments is evident.
For fans of simulation games, *The Bus* is a great choice, but for players with average setups, the performance might be a limiting factor. If the graphics don't put you off, though, *The Bus* is definitely worth trying!
Great Game, Highly recomended. They are making great fixes and update this sim has a bright future!
h
Really cool game! Though there are a few things that need to be smoothed out, but I really love the concept! This game is very realistic and I enjoy playing this! Can't wait until its fully sorted!
the worst simulator iv ever played, took me half hour just to figure out how to get the steering wheel to work through the settings, two thier isnt any tutorial to show how the tablet or anything else works, three the controls dont even work. i use the mouse to look left and right and then it uses the mouse to move the wheel when i have it set to my wheel, four i use my wheel to turn left the the wheel on game is stil showing right so i crash and it glitchs out. early access since 21 and its now 25 what a load of crap. if a game cant get it right or fix thies issues after 2 years at most it will never get fixed. i only played under an hour and getting refund and will never play this heap of bung again, what a waste of 30 pound for a game like this, what a cash grab
do not buy this game is not a go good game to buy for your kids please please please do not buy this game at all
The performance is pretty a$$, I'm talking about the 1% lows its always below 30, IDK if this is a UE5 thing or lazy developers. The graphics are up to date and gorgeous, massive improvement from Fernbus, if you're willing to run into bugs have a limited selection of things to do then buy the game, if not then don't as there are frequent bugs and performance issues. The map is gorgeous especially since its a 1:1 and with the construction traffic and more with tight spaces it makes it more fun to drive.
.
Honest review after 30 hours of playing and over 250 hours in the modding editor. Below are pros and cons.
After the multiplayer update, I'm giving this game a positive review.
As I've mentioned, I'm mostly a modder for this game. I'm making a map, and I've got literally nothing negative to say about the editor, unlike OMSI 2's mod editor. It's so so so much easier making splines and intersections, and in general everything is very easy if you follow their tutorials.
Pros:
- HUGE Modding potential
- Easy to learn modding editor
- Beautiful graphics
- Many languages
- Good optimization
- Multiplayer
- Good AI
Cons:
- No AI buses
- Very basic bus mechanics
Compared to OMSI, which is a 10+ year old game for reference, has much better bus handling and suspension, like how you can feel the bus struggling to climb hills and screaming engines, nothing is here. You just hear the engine and it barely matters if you're going uphill or downhill. No difference if AC is on or off, and buttons generally don't impact anything.
- Very basic bus sounds
Same as above, bus sounds need improvement.
- Only modern buses available
Where are the old Citaros and Solarises?
- No bus malfunctions
Like door malfunctions, engine errors, suspension etc
- No wear and tear
The bus is always like brand new.
- No career
We need this. Right now if you have a collision, hit other cars or pedestrians nothing happens. Something like Bus Company Simulator for OMSI 2, getting speed fines, and having to repair buses etc.
In general, the game needs much more buses, better handling/mechanics, physics, sounds, and also a career mode, but the game is looking promising.
i played the bus in vr with the uevr mod and caught covid from a sick passenger 10/10 would do it again
it a fun game to play
gn
this game so lag for me
Keeping a game in Early Access is a great way to have an excuse for low performance.
The Game Is Good But It's Still In Early Access So [The Bus] For Now It's Not Worth £30 & OMSI 2 Is 1000 Times Better. But Until The Game Will Be Fully Released I Will For Now Recommend OMSI 2 Or Newer Better Features.

So disappointed... Bought this game when it first dropped in 2021 and it's still classed as early access!
It is a nice looking game but is still woefully optimised for PC. I can get between 40-70 FPS but the game still doesn't use my RTX 4070ti Super, instead it uses my integrated Graphics from my Ryzen 9 CPU
I have changed all the settings in my Nvidia control panel but still the GPU utilization sits at 0%
I'm done, TML-Studios and Aerosoft are taking us all for mugs now so this game is going in the bin along with Tourist Bus and Fernbus...
Terrible
We need a full version of this game. Not early acces!! No bugs, No crashes. I love the game but we need a full version now!!
its sooooooooooooooooooooo nice!
I remember when i bought this game and Fernbus with big hopes. Fernbus is still unoptimized, buggy and far from finished after almost 10 years. Soon it's gonna be 4 years since The Bus has released, pretty sure it's going to share the same faith with Fernbus.
The game really has potential, but I have some ideas that could be included in its full release.
Such as a few maps perhaps Warsaw or Oslo? Some more MAN, Mercedes, and Solaris buses. Real snow physics aka slipperiness wheelspin and all that. Another thing is when a bus comes to its destination it could wait 10 minutes before setting off again just like Poland has it and I'm sure Germany does too. Otherwise, the game is amazing and I highly recommend it.
realistic so nice
The bus is very nice game nice graphics
