pistols and muskets are fun to use, and armor & weapons have nice designs. all of the recruits are cool too. i like the setting and time period, but the map feels pretty small.

Although not as complete as Warband, WFAS still is better than bannerlord.

I played the heck out of this game with cheat codes. I took over the whole world and had a blast being an end game threat until my right hand man who I also cheated and gave him insane stats and joined my enemy steam rolled my ass to kingdom come. 10/10

Interesting game but very much just reused assets

This game is good but due to the lack of mods youd be better off to get warband on sale but if this is on sale for 2.50 its more than worth it

Fantastic Franchise

Heck of a lot of fun. I like to run around solo without an army taking out many enemies alone but you can recruit an army for a different experience. My tip: get yourself a fast horse.

If you like bannerlord but want muskets and gunpowder, then this is the game for you

Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword may be an older game, but it’s still a blast to play. The mix of real-time combat, strategy, and open-world exploration keeps it exciting even today. The addition of firearms to the classic melee combat adds a whole new layer of depth, and I’ve found myself losing hours leading armies, besieging castles, and navigating the complex politics between factions. Despite being a bit dated, the game’s depth and replayability make it feel as fresh as ever.

When I first started playing I was not sure it was for me, but MBWFS grew on me rather quickly and I really the game.

It is not a bad game, not by a long shot. You won't find even a fraction of the mods Warband has, unfortunately, to the point that I haven't even played half a dozen F&S mods. Unfortunately the game plays quite differently than Warband, too - don't expect to come in and enjoy it in the exact same way. This game is intended to be more 'story'-ish, following quests to join factions and potentially even rule them, instead of founding your own. You CAN'T found your own, in fact, nor can you even recruit from a village without being allied with the proper owner. You'll likely rely mostly on mercenaries (which are customizable to a degree which is neat) and tavern troops, until you join a faction. I don't enjoy it as much as Warband, and most of the features added to it have been back ported and improved in one way or another, but it's worth a shot.

A game that i come back to year after year, just like any of the other games in the mount and blade series! A game that allows you to fully customise your character and play the game exactly how you want. You can be as friendly or as evil as you want. This game adds the additional fun of gunpowder. There is nothing like mowing down your enemies like a rank of musketeers!

It seems to have been a great game when it was released. Graphics too outdated for me to continue playing, but at the current discounted price you might want to have a look.

This game is missing massive QoL and UI stuff, so keep in mind you'll be going into an outdated game. Go in with an open mind and low expectations.
