I played and beat the first game, and i like it, an lot, then i heard about this prequel thinking it was also an nice game
i was wrong, this garberg should be ILLEGAL to sell, bugged to an point to not be playables, such as, script erros as on the DAMN TANK LEVEL,graphics that look shit, and you can do nothing, since it will CRASH the DAMN GAME, terrbile gameplay WORST THAN ORIGINAL and all other shit i could say it
and worst, you will paying way more than the original game to have an buggy mass shit
Please make an favor, do NOT buy this game, but rather buy and play the first one

If you like the first game, then you would love it
But I do recommend buy it on sale
Thanks to the number of new things developers try out that is fun while being frustrating at the same time much like the first game
I remember it being better than the first, but its still not worth your time or money.
A condensed version of the original game. The perfect dose of frenetic action. A little janky but nothing that ruins the enjoyment. Great bosses and cool new enemies.
This game is super rough around the edges, and while the moment to moment gameplay is serviceable (enemy reactions to being shot are a real highlight) and the story has some interesting turns to it, I don't think the highs are high enough for me to recommend this one to must individuals.
That being said, I didn't totally hate my time with NecroVision: Lost Company, and playing through it has me interested in trying the developer's more recent games. YMMV!
Melee combat feels awful, hitboxes are probably inconsistent, random objects can send you flying, your rockets have massive knockback on enemies but it appears that they actually pull the player character towards the explosion or at least downwards, you can get stuck on, in (?), next to and possibly under(?) enemies and some bossfights seem to involve quite a lot of luck.
Despite this (or, in some situations, because of this) I have had more fun with this janky trainwreck than with most other singleplayer games I've played. This, just like the main game, is a perfect storm of strange, sometimes ambitious ideas, bugs and likely many compromises in the developement and writing process. The clash between gameplay and story, as well as tonal clashes within the story, are a sight to behold. There were several instances where it felt like the comedic timing was intended, but more moments where it felt too good for anyone to come up with on purpose. This game might not be for everyone, but I'm sure some people with a similar sense of humor will have a blast. 10/10
Also I'm pretty sure adding "+dx9" in the launch options makes both games run better under windows 10. The game didn't crash once.
The game is okay, old sometimes very janky, the final boss fight is a must for HC players, for the rest of us just press ` and type nvngod and you are good to go, overall it is an okay game for the price you pay.
