Brought the game back in about 2022 and had fun with the Zombies mode with friends back then which is all I really cared about, since then however the game has become absolutely unplayable.
After downloading the game I had to deal with multiple crashes on startup, that could only be fixed by disabling any audio software I use that has never caused any issues with any other game or program I've used, both old and new.
After that I had to deal with a constant stuttering that would freeze the game every 2-3 seconds regardless of where I was in the game, or what my graphical/screen settings were, with the only two fixes I could find online being either to boot the game completely offline, meaning I just straight up couldn't play it with friends again, or use a community patch to fix the issues, after applying one of the fixes and loading into a basic zombies map, being Kino Der Toten, then pausing to adjust some gameplay settings, my entire pc hard froze, forcing to obviously reset my pc to continue to do anything with it.
These issues seem to stem from an update made back in 2023 that Activision/Treyarch pushed out that has not been fixed, with seemingly complete radio silence from both teams on ever making the game playable for the average consumer ever again, with the only action being taken is removing the Multiplayer tag from their official tags to shake off any responsibility they may have to take for the state that they have left their previous games in.
its fine. neutral opinion on the game 7/10 the ability to mod it makes it alot better i love shooting minecraft zombies with a fucking ray gun. price is steep tho
Ngl this game is really good. Multiplayer is in a bad state due to some cheaters just play zombies. There are a lot of steam workshop items for you to choose from. If you buy this game have fun.

this game obviously isnt in its prime anymore but the zombies is still worth it. I would wait for a sale to happen before buying this game though. 11/10 zombies
I love this game! Do you want a great introduction to the zombies mode? Get this game. It gives you most of the zombie maps up to this point and comes with great visuals! The best part to this game is the workshop being activated for it. It's the only cod game that has this feature making it the best game for anyone wanting to make or play community content.
Online-only buggy hacker exploited shit game. I can't even play the singleplayer campaign without constant crashes in offline mode. The most frustrating thing is that the developers does'nt give a damn about it. Yes, there's a community patch, but it's not working with the SP campaign. Don't buy it, don't support these greedy bastards.
Good multiplayer, good zombies (and the mods make it even better) like cheese cube, plus the games has so much nostalgia like doing sniper 1v1s with the boys, or trying to do an easter egg with the boys as well and tbh this was the second to last good cod game 9/10

Literally unplayable without risking other people being able to run exectueables on your computer! Even with third party software running to try and fix this! how is this game even on steam still it is literally unplayable!
Great game, the only good thing activision and treyarch have done in recent years is add modding support for it. That alone has kept it installed on my pc for all these years.
It's a great time but buy it on sale. please do not feed the machine this late after it's release and buy full price.

This game is worse than call of duty advanced warfare and its literally a copy and paste of the game too id rather play bo4 the movement is horrible and the keybinds are shit literally any other game is better also dead servers left and right
Don't get scammed by this. I bought this game on Mac. Single players works perfectly fine on Macbook Pro M1 Pro, even at 120 fps most of the time. However, the whole multiplayer doesn't work, not even finding any games. Nor for normal mode, neither for zombie mode. So don't get trapped in this.

There are RCE vulnerabilities which I expirienced myself while playing solo zombies. After uninstalling, it didn't happen again. A chinese IP was trying to install a trojan remotely through BO3.
Be really careful. Treyarch and Activision don't care at all about games which are not the latest ones (you could even argue if they do in that case).

On sale for $40 with chronicles, season pass, and the giant made this buy a no brainer. I liked zombies from bo3 era most and used to have all on ps4. Must have classic. T7 patch this bad boy with friends and you're chillin.
UNLIKE for console, theirs an avid workshop designed and dedicated for personal content. custom zombies, and people 10 years later are still playing this game! highly recommended!
I would say the only reason you should buy this game in 2025 is only if you want to play zombies.
Multiplayer is filled with cheaters, and they can take your IP so i recommend using T7 Patch.
Anyways for zombies i couldn't recommend this game enough, its just pefect

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TERRIBLE GAME!!!!!! The story was impossible to get behind and just seemed like it was there to kill all main characters as slow as possible in the strangest ways. Doesn't make the characters relatable at all. The ending was way too far out there to be considered even decent. Teaches features that are used once or twice and doesn't explain other features that are used WAY too frequently. The pathing makes no sense and I often found myself being pushed into grenades and fire by companions. Not to mention the countless times I got restarted for killing teammates who ran directly in front of enemies I was shooting.
might be an "old" COD but its a damn masterpiece. Just recently got this game on PC and its a GAME CHANGER. i had this game for PS4 since release and its always been fun.... BUT all the modding and custom maps on the Steam workshop make it an almost everlasting game. I don't play as mush as i used to but every time i get on there's always a new custom map or even multiple custom maps for me to choose from. The maps may not be the highest quality however its always a fun time loading up Cum City with soem good friends. Therefore Call of Duty: Black ops 3 is the greatest call of duty of all thime.
This game is a 10/10 best zombies an ok multiplayer but the campaign isnt that good. I recommend this game for people who love a good zombie game.

speaking from 786 hours on console, the campaign was decent, multiplayer made me want to donate my body to science while i was alive, whilst also making me wanna give out all of my prized and personal belongings to the homeless because i was so jolly. I will forever hate campers, ZOMBIES IS GOD TIER, the dlc was worth it and i will forcefully discipline my children until each of them have successfully completed each and every single easter egg, i will pass on stories about the der eisendrache elemental bows, and how chronicles had my 9 year old eye lids pried open. save us Treyarch train go boom.

i spent like 955 hours of my life playing this game on the PS4. hands down the best zombies experience in a call of duty game ever.
If you are a zombies fan, buy this game. The workshop alone makes this game worth the price. You can literally play hundreds of different maps and mods, some of them being very high quality, even on the level of what Treyarch makes sometimes. Just be sure to download the T7 patch by Serious so that your game doesn't get invaded by hackers lol.
if you get bored of the normal maps just play sum custom made zombie maps from the community they cool af
Custom Zombies and Zombies in general is the only thing that saves this game

Black Ops 3 is a really fun game, the multiplayer, campaign and zombies is good. The game has a workshop which you can get weapon mod packs from other call of duty games and custom maps for zombies, I recommend this game to those who like the Call Of Duty: Black Ops series and zombie games.

Very good game! I picked this up just yesterday from the winter sale for only £14 and have been playing non-stop. I would recommend to anyone interested in FPS games.
The custom zombies map mode is very cool, glad that Steam and COD supports the community enough to let workshop maps be playable/supported officialy.
Black Ops 3 is the best out of all CoDs. Much love for World at War though. Can't get enough of these games.
