great and friendly players on games and you can even get mods without having to download extra software.

I love Black Ops 3 from the bottom of my heart, but this game is fundamentally flawed.

Firstly, you need some sort of patch to play this game, and to the people that make these patches: I could kiss you, because you are a godsend. But the second blow is the near 60 dollar price tag. This game is ten years old, goddamn it. You should not be charging full price for this buggy, exploit riddled game. The story blows, but most people play this game for the zombies mode, anyways. This game's community is by far the most interesting (at least the zombies) and the dedication the players have to the lore surrounding these games is astounding! That's without even mentioning the modding scene which, if i'm being honest, is probably one of the, if not the only reason that this game still even gets new players to begin with. The passion from the community is there, but I just wish that the developers and CEOs cared as much.

from what i saw i only saw one cheater in game and most of the time i dont see them in game because the game its like almost 10 years old and all of the things said about the game not being safe, i thought it was alr cuz no one other then my friend joined so i can confirm its safe but all the hacking stuff can still happen but other then that its playable

bought it for the zombies mode. multiplayer wise is pretty dead since a game from like a decade ago. in zombies disconnect are not rare and you cant join mid game. its still full price after all that and even with discounts it really doesnt justify it. would making a dead game from 10 years ago letting in new players really bankrupt blizzard? and if you play any multiplayer or zombies while not in america or western countries expect high ping as for anywhere else in the world 60 usd is a significant amount. most people ive played with a pretty chill and helpful. lobbies do have hackers but personally ive rarely seen it in zombies. as it stands i cant recommend.

30 years later: Activision was an incompetent company that only focus on taking money away from their customers pockets and not offer a great experience to their community.

This review is mainly of the Zombies mode of this game as that is what I bought the game for, if you are buying it for the Zombies mode, the "Zombies Deluxe Edition" is the best bundle to buy. Black Ops III is the gold standard for a solo round-based zombies game, even in 2025 IMO. Between the Treyarch remakes of classic maps and the stellar community made maps like Leviathan, Shoot haus, and the numerous remakes of classic maps this game easily has hundreds of hours of replay-ability in Zombies mode alone. I bought this game during one of the many sales that it is in, but would have happily payed full price for it. It has been years since I played the campaign but it was great nonetheless, as was multiplayer, which I'm not sure is still active. This game is a must have for anyone that loves zombies games, especially traditional round-based style games. Easy 10/10 for this game even as someone who loved Call Of Duty but has been disappointed with recent installments, especially the most recent "Zombies" modes.

I have been playing since launch and I have always enjoyed the game I am a zombies main so can't speak for multiplayer but I think it is a real fun experience. I have 100% the game on my PS4 and now currently working on 100%ing on here I have always loved the game and will continue to do so. I honestly think you get a lot of value out of the zombie experience when it comes to new maps and old maps remastered. It blends quite nicely for us old school zombie veterans and newcomers and with custom maps a feature for PC it just opens a whole new variety of options. I will always personally recommend this game if you love zombies.

My favorite thing about this game is the Zombies, because of the Steam Workshop Support for Call of Duty Zombies!

Best zombies and multi-player experience in cod today, would definitely recommend since there is no longer hackers who can hack your pc now. The entire game for 40 bucks is definitely worth it.

Then I played this game again once more.

But uhhm, best zombies back then and now still. MotD map mod, origins, chronicles, and mods in general are good though

The best hands down zombies experience provided. It has steam workshop which adds dozens of hours whenever you jump in that is still updated in 2025.
Get zombies, get the all around enhancement mod, get some goofy custom maps and have a good time.

At time of writing, I have over 100 hours and that's custom maps alone. The DLC maps are just as great.

Side note: I only play private matches alone or with friends. I have nothing to note on recommended multi-player patches to avoid any security issues.

This is THE DEFINITIVE Call of Duty Zombies experience in my opinion. The movement, guns, and maps are all great! The Steam Workshop for BO3 is also jam packed with content that you can use to play custom maps made by the community (which is very active) and to personalize your experience by adding perks, guns, and general QOL to pre existing maps.

The one thing i will say is PLEASE buy the game on sale, the $60 price tag isn't worth it, even with Zombies Chronicles as an added bonus

9/10, would HIGHLY recommend to anyone getting into Call of Duty Zombies

Great game. Bought years later and really enjoy zombies and especially custom zombies.

Normally i'm not too big of a fan of cod games nowadays. But I feel the first three black ops hit different. And that three is by far the most perfect, does everything the first two games do but better. Add modding support on top of that and you have a game I can actually say is worth the asking price. But as always, do get it on sale if possible.

one of th emost nostalgic games of all time and the zombies still slaps. i also love the mods it makes it so much more fun

runs like dogshit until you patch it with the t7patch (just look up black ops 3 t7patch). pre patch, i could barely push 60 fps with a rx6600 (equivalent to a 2060) in 720p with all low graphics, now with the patch it runs at a consistent 60 at 1080p high, even with the performance hit of running it on linux via proton. also, other than installing the patch (which should be done even if you use windows) there is no additional tweaking needed to get it running perfectly on linux, as well as with working multiplayer.
otherwise, the game is fun. it was the first COD i ever played and i'm glad i got roped into buying it

This game is 10 years old and I still get excited to play it (for zombies mostly). This is hands down the best zombies experience that the new games can’t seem to grasp.

This game is an absolute work of art. I would absolutely recommend buying this, ive had so much fun playing this, especially the zombies mode. Even though the price tag is 60$, its the best 60$ ive spent in a while

I bought Black Ops 3 on PC to play custom zombies and normal zombies and what a great purchase! If you love zombies, this is a must have! Being able to play thousands of different zombies maps means you will never get bored and if you have friends it makes it even better! The graphics of this game have held up nicely and puts the console versions to shame.

On a side note, this game supports "remote play together" which works okay all things considered. I used remote play together to play custom zombies with a friend who is yet to buy the game... They really want BO3 now!! XD

There are two reasons I won't recommend this game. Number 1 is that it is a full priced game released back in 2012. Number 2 is that for the entire duration that my friends and I have owned this game we have run into issues with not being able to join each others party's. Making it impossible for us to play Zombies together, which is the whole reason why we bought this game. Activision Blizzard can **** off.

Zombies is really good in this game 10/10. Multiplayer is ok and is something else to do. Campaign is kinda doo doo but whatever. This game probably has the best cod zombie experience out there.

Really fun game even a decade later! Zombies carries it mainly, but the multiplayer is also pretty chill. Campaign I didn't like as much, but I'm mainly a zombies guy. Would recommend, even for custom maps if you don't want to play the base ones.

i havent touched this game in a while and its saying i didnt close it properly and wont let me play it anymore. it keeps crashing on launch and denying me access to the game. activision fix your stuff now

its been so many years since this game was released and they still wont fix it. i mean seriously its every review complaining about it at some point they have to do something

Last great Call of Duty game, in my opinion. I first bought it on Xbox 360 at release, then xbox one. Always wanted the modded zombies, it's outstanding

I REALLY want to give this game a good review but theres just a bug at random times where the game just wont work anymore and you cant open the menu so i cant recomend buying this game unless your willing to gamble with the ability to never be able to launch the game again

Id rate this game when in term of fun 10/10. But for story mode, probably 6/10 because it doesnt have any connection/relation with previous black ops series but its still fun regardless. Zombies, 10/10 as well but they are separate from main game so you should get the DLC as its packed/bundled with previous black ops zombies series.

The reason why i called this game "fun" because you are free to mods everything inside in this game. You can play, modify, create and customize the way you want to be. Thanks for the workshop feature but keep in mind that achievements / xp will be disabled when turning on mods. Overall, you should get this game even if you were late to party. By the time this review was made in 2025, the game is still hella fun and you can customize everything you want to be inside of Black Ops 3.

I mainly got this game for the zombies mode and trust me it did not disappoint. The maps, wonder weapons, and the gobble gun system were amazing. But sadly this gets dragged down by the sad state the game is rn with hackers running rampant, often booting you out of matches to even trying to ddos you for simply playing the funny zombies mode.
Goated game that was left to rot sadly, at least I got to experience a bit of it
