Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery

This is an homage to Nintendo's first Metroid game, and my goal was to create something nostalgic for players of that era.
The premise is simple:
A magical artifact has been stolen, and it's up to you to capture the thief. What is not so simple is actually doing this!
Like many games from the NES era, this game is difficult! Levels are large and intentionally maze-like, taking you on a journey of exploration for powerups and weapons. Strange enemies are around every corner, and five ferocious bosses await your arrival!
