not very fun, feels like a cheap mobile game as others have said
Not necessarily a bad game but definitely an experience that can be matched for free else where like Play market
This game is very hard. The way it works can cause lots of irritation. It can be fun if you are very skilled player though and then its actually a good game. Only 6% players got any achievement in this game and 3% finished all achievements and according to in game ranking score 250 on easy mode(easiest achievement) reached 4 times less people than score 250 on very easy mode, and rank 500 on easy mode (second easiest achievement) reached 4 times less people than 250 on easy mode, which probably means most players with initial fails are giving up. Score 500 on easy took me about an hour of game time. Its also good if you have 5/10/15 minutes to play and want some quick game.

It's okay... I decided to beat the game as I had so much time on my hands. It was fun for like the first 30 minutes, then it started getting boring real quick. This game is meant to be a time waster and you can definitely see it as you progress through the game. Each new area is just the same thing as the last area, but with a different background and character. For 99 cents though, it's an okay game if you have some time on your hands, other than that, it's a mediocre game with a cool concept, but very repetitive.
This game feels a lot like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. I know that must seem like a strange comparison if you’ve never played Roll’d.
While you are not on a skateboard, you’re not doing tricks, and it’s in 2D; it really does feel like the mechanics of doing manuals in THPS.
So if you were really into THPS; you’re gonna love this.
I also like how the game stays fresh with a levelling system that changes the theme and song.
With all that being said; I really do think that this playstyle can be expanded upon. I’d like to see a “SUPER version” (or whatever) of this game with other platforms to jump to, the ability to do tricks for bonus points, and maybe multiplayer with intertwined tracks where the players can jump over each other and such.
And that’s not to say that this game feels incomplete, not at all. This is still a great arcade feeling kinda game where you are developing a skill that happens to feel a lot like doing manuals.
Nice mobile port, overall, without demanding too much at all.
Controls (and joypad) are ok, the game itself is very simple - you choose a character and a difficulty setting and, instead of controlling him, you control the terrain so you have to constantly be aware that the little guy doesn't smash into a wall or falls down a slope.
That's pretty much it; after every level you gain experience points that make you level up and unlock new characters and new levels.
The concept is quite nice to me, even if of course it can get boring after some hours overall (hence the achievement percentages, many of the players who buy this game don't want to spend many hours on it) but for how much it's worth, it's good in its genre. It does what it's meant to do, plain and simple.
You can get coupons for this, it has achievements and cards too, so.. why not?
I don't get some reviewers that complain about controls and porting. Ok, on the music I'm with you, it sucks, but the game runs smooth and well, it's a good mobile port. If you can get it on discount, it's even better.
Annoying background music, clunky controls, graphics are ehhh at the best, and at the intro screen all I can see are big purple buttons so I literally have to guess my way into the game. I mean the price tag is $1 so I didn't expect much but at least give me a game. I wouldn't even play this game for free.
Not my type of game, gets old really quick. Might be fun if you had a friend to play with.
Also, for what it is, it should be a 50¢ Game.
I would not Recommend this game.

TLDR: Controls stuttery and janky on Xbox360pad. Rotate camera to create terrain for runner sprite. Improper fullscreen. Constant death and reloads.
Games adds large sidebars so it did not have to bother changing the play area from the mobile version. The Xbox 360 pad stick made the adjustments to the rotation move by large increments at once im guessing the controls were better fine tuned for the Ipad's gyroscope. Otherwise all you do is rotate the screen to give an always mostly flat surface for an endless runner 2d sprite to run on. You will fail often and the sound of death will get grating FAST. The music is nothing but a couple notes looping.
The game starts up in full screen on the wrong monitor and the left arrow key is permanently on making it totally unplayable. It's no big deal as I got it on special for 49c but anyone with a razor keyboard be aware it won't work.
Today I grabbed an Xbox 360 wireless control. Although it works with this game, the stuttering issue with the left arrow key is still present and the game is still unplayable.
"Like "G-force" on a rollercoaster"
Roll'd is from the makers of the nasty games "Timberman" and "Tiki-man", but also from "Surfingers" which I liked very much. As simple as those mobile port games are, Roll'd also means to quick react, but this time you turn the whole track around you while your charakter is running on a fix position. If you enter a curve in a too sharp angle you die. Uphill or downhill doesn't matter.
Speaking of characters there was once this half-animated Disney movie called "G-Force" with a pretty lame story but cute guinea pigs. Well some characters in this game seem to be stolen from that but it doesn't help to hide the massive flaws that are implemented. Balance Achievements of normal and hard seem to be mixedup, the upleveling is unclear and the randomly stiched together curves are sloppy rendered and have micro-gaps. You don't even know visually what you are doing wrong, only hear your pig squeaking.
Ofc the game has also some nice feature like 4ppl online MP on splitscreen, a global ranking and again a bunch of characters to unlock but unfortunately with no other behaviour (just other skins). But to levelup to level50 can be a bit of grinding if you already beat the highscores in all difficulties. So you must force yourself through this endless rollercoaster to make it 100% in the end ...
This is an interesting puzzle game. It's kinda like the little marble you had to get through the maze/labyrinth toy or the old school Monkey Ball video game. You use the keys A and D to move the ROAD, not the character.. up and down to make the character walk with as little effort as possible. If not, he falls off screaming in pain. An agonizing fall to his/her death... Witch can be funny when playing characters like Sir Dinkalot ( a pig ). With levels, characters and themes to unlock during the game, the more you play levels. The soundtrack was kinda of a retro 8 bit throwback. Nothing hugely catching like Double Dragon II, but fun. With about 25 unlockable skins/ 5 theme backgrounds and 4 difficulty settings, it's a fun game to challenge yourself. Makes walking or taking a stroll a little a-bit different next time, if you think of it this way...
OMG I love this game.. This game made me feel so Happy .. I admit... pigs are so cute in this game... It also made me miss childhood.... Can't wait to play it with my friends... They'll love it too for sure.
I just wish there's a bigger community for Multiplayer... I expect to play with lots of other ppl but it's more fun if you play locally, It's amazing.
Thanks whoever made this game.. I owe my life to you.. HAHA just kidding.. i mean.. your game is amazing, I hope to see more of this types of games. Keep Up!
I don't need to rate it.. let's be honest here, The game is perfect for the way it is.
OMG! Got this game for 49 cents. Wow! Well worth much more. The sound of the pig's squel as he's falling is a bit haunting. It takes you a few tries to get used to it. And then you realize you have to keep the world rotated back and forth to keep it level for the poor pig. I love how he waves his arms around when he's starting to get off balance. It's cute! I sometimes have a short attention span and like how I can really enjoy five minutes (or less) playing this. Warning - it's kind of an addictive game. I love that they have different costumes for the pig. And different 'worlds' and from easy to hard difficulty. I've gifted it to some friends and they already love it as well. It's 49 cents! Why are you still reading this? Buy the dang game!
don't know if the lobby's empty or online just doesn't work for me, but that's the only reason this game could get somewhat dull if you have to unlock the next variation and level and repeat the same things over and over
(in case you don't get a high score to proceed through it faster, which will take you longer while playing)
but besides it's a nice game, might gift it around some time :D
some might think this is too simple and nothing special, still it's challenging and does change on the way you go further
Simple endless runner game which is suitable to be played in short sessions when you are bored.
You start as a pig character, running on a roller coaster terrain, which you will have to balance with the right and left keys to prevent your character from falling off to your death. With only 2 keys to control, it sounds simple but that couldn't be further from the truth. It has quite a learning curve, and in the beginning, you will die a lot of times within seconds of the game, making you want to rage quit and throw your keyboard / mouse at the wall. However, once you get the hang of it, the fun starts. You get to level up, and unlock more characters, themes / locations and difficulties (easy, normal, or hard). The variety is quite extensive, and will definitely keep you playing for some time. The background music is a mix bag of soothing music to chiptunes, depending on the location, which sometimes may be annoying.
Overall, a good game well worth the cheap admission price!

F'ing Roll'd.
This is one of those endless running, two button games that could be a phone game but works just as well as a time waster on this platform, too.
In Roll'd you control the ground you run on by rotating the track, its relatively simple at slow speeds but on higher difficulty settings it gets very hectic and infuriating, you will always want to beat your top score.
Pros:
+Good Soundtrack
+Lots of runners with pretty solid animations
+Around 50 levels with unlockables along the way
+Great scenery
+Good learning curve
+Cheap
Cons:
-Glitchy menus
-Repetitive Gameplay
-Hard to find multiplayer games
"Roll'd" is a really surprisingly fun game. I bought it due to my prefererence for SAS (short attention span) games and multiple levels to be unlocked with a gradual progression. Figured if I played for an hour it would be reasonable at this remarkably low price. After three days I have most of the achievements and have passed level 40 (of 50 for which achievements are offered.)
The premise of Roll'd is that instead of the character moving, the path does. Perhaps a small change, but a very nice variation from the norm. At various points new levels and variations are unlocked, as well as new and bizarre "runners". The numerous paths may only be different in appearance, but they certainly look VERY different, and give the feel of not being at all similar in gameplay. If it's an illusion, it's a good one.
The art and music of Roll'd are really nice, and all in all this is a remarkable game for this low price of less than a dollar. If you like dexterity or running games, Roll'd is certainly one to be considered near the top of the list for players of all ages.
Thank you.
